Video summary

Welcome in day marks a significant milestone for new Razorbacks, signaling the start of their adventure at the University of Arkansas with full institutional support. This year's process introduces some unique changes that begin directly at Baum-Walker Stadium rather than immediately heading toward residence halls. Upon arrival, students are instructed to proceed straight to the stadium where friendly volunteers and staff will greet them to assist with check-in procedures. It is important for arriving students to present their student ID before collecting key packets along with two specific passes designed for vehicle entry if needed; only enrolled students are authorized to pick up keys at this location. Once registered, clear signage and color-coded routes guide visitors from the stadium directly to their designated residence hall unloading zones without needing to navigate campus independently yet. Newcomers have a strict fifteen-minute window upon arrival at Baum-Walker Stadium to enjoy facilities like restrooms and water while capturing celebratory moments before departing for their housing assignment. After following the guided path, students receive thirty minutes in their specific zone to unload belongings into their rooms, with clear restrictions allowing only two cars per student and prohibiting large trucks or U-Hauls. To ensure a smoother experience during this brief window, it is highly recommended that individuals bring their own dollies or carts since loaner equipment at hall desks remains limited. After successfully moving items inside, the focus shifts to settling in as shuttles operate throughout the day to transport students back from off-campus locations if necessary. The true excitement begins once everyone is settled with mandatory floor meetings intended for meeting Resident Advisors and neighbors while encouraging participation in A Week events designed to foster community building across campus. One particular highlight not to be missed is the Taste of Fayetteville event, which offers delicious local food as an excellent opportunity for new students to explore the surrounding area and connect with others during their first week on campus. For those seeking further details or facing questions about logistics, comprehensive schedules are available online through specific university portals covering both general move-in procedures and dining options. The University Housing office remains accessible via phone at 479-575-4687 or by email to housing@uark.edu for any additional inquiries that may arise before arrival. As the institution prepares to welcome everyone this fall, these organized steps ensure a structured yet welcoming transition into university life while emphasizing personal responsibility in managing moving logistics efficiently within provided timeframes and guidelines.

This is the beginning of your adventure at the University of Arkansas, and we're here to support you every step of the way. This year, we're doing things a little differently, and it all starts right here at Baum-Walker Stadium. >> That's right. Move-in begins at Baum, and we couldn't be more excited to welcome you and your family to campus. Here's what you need to know. [music] When you arrive, head straight to Baum-Walker Stadium. Don't go to the residence halls just yet. The only exceptions are for students arriving at the Marshall and local apartments who can go directly there. As you arrive, you'll be greeted by our friendly volunteers and staff who are here to help. You'll pick up your key packet along with two arrival [music] passes, one for each car if needed. Be sure to show your student ID to check in. Only students can pick up keys. Once you've got your passes, the clear signage and color-coded routes will guide you to your next [music] stop. And don't forget, before you head out, to get a quick selfie or moment to celebrate your big day at Baum. We've got restrooms, water, [music] and plenty of space for you to take it all in. You'll have 15 minutes to enjoy the moment, so arrive on time to keep things moving smoothly. Look out for the signage on the road and at the hall. Once you're at your hall, you'll have 30 minutes to unload and get your belongings into your room. [music] Keep in mind, you can only have two cars per student, and no box trucks or U-Hauls. Volunteers will be there to help when they can, >> [music] >> but remember, you'll want to be ready to jump in and make your own move-in experience as smooth as possible. If you can, bring your own dolly or cart, it'll make things much easier. [music] Our hall desks have a limited number of loaners, so it's best to come prepared. After unloading, here's what comes next. Shuttles will be running all day to bring you back to your residence hall. >> [music] >> Once you're all settled, the fun really begins. Be sure to attend your floor meeting to meet your RA neighbors and jump into A Week events to explore campus and start building your community. >> [music] >> One event you won't want to miss, the Taste of Fayetteville.
