This event is designed for the small
business owner if they're looking to get
into government contracting. There's a
lot of businesses that don't do it and
there's a lot of money out there if
you're willing to work hard at it.
>> Part of the city's commitment to our
residents is supporting our small
businesses and we do that through our
small business development program. This
event really helps elevate that
specifically for our veterans here in
Fort Worth.
>> A lot of our veterans have the tools
they need to start businesses and run
businesses. [music] What we haven't been
able to teach people is how to actually
navigate that bureaucratic process that
we know government contracting can
involve. So events like this help really
lower that barrier. This is really an
opportunity for all sorts [music] of
veterans wherever they are in their
career, whether they're still in or
they've owned a business for 20 years.

sold [music] out. And I think it really
just shows how excited people are to
gain this type of knowledge. That we
have so many veteran-owned small
businesses here in Fort Worth that are
looking for help navigating the system
