Okay, welcome back after break. So just before we went for the break, we were looking at um the signpost, the guidepost, the fifth one, recognize the leading of God's spirit. Okay? And we were looking at ways the Holy Spirit speaks to us. He speaks to us through the inner witness or the inner impression. Uh he speaks to us also through the word of God. And that is what we saw last. Okay. And the third thing is um listed there on page number 19. Uh he speaks through dreams, visions, ideas and pictures. Okay. So sometimes the Holy Spirit reveals God's plan to us through dreams, visions, prophetic words, pictures. Um and at times he might even give you some picture in your mind. Sometimes you are just praying but you cannot see anything but it is just like pictures being impressed in your spirit man. Okay. So sometimes when the holy spirit reveals things to me it's not the dream or a vision or pictures that I see but it is like a movie scene or a picture that is being um shown. I can just see you know toad pitch darkness but in my spirit man the picture is just coming alive okay though I don't see it so sometimes he can just give you pictures in your mind sometimes it can come as strong impressions the impression is so strong you don't see it but you can just sense and you can just describe everything like as to seeing you are seeing a visual picture okay so that is how he guides you in the right way. Now, um the Holy Spirit will guide and lead you. Okay. Uh but how do you know it's the Holy Spirit's voice? What is one test to know if it's the Holy Spirit speaking to you? Huh? >> It should be aligned to God's word. Okay. One clear way to know if the Holy Spirit is speaking to you is that it will always glorify Jesus Christ. Okay. So if the direction or the message uh seems to lift up your egos or you know merely your situation or it just feeding your uh desires no then it is not from the Holy Spirit. Okay. But if it mag magnifies Jesus, if it exalts his name, it aligns to his word, then you can be assured that it is the Holy Spirit speaking. Okay. So that is the fifth guide post on uh leading of the Holy Spirit. Very short here, but I'm sure you're learning about the person and the work of the Holy Spirit, right? you have a um a course on that and we'll look at more of it in um you know when we uh studying the book receiving God's guidance. Any questions on this? Any questions on this? No. Okay. If not, we'll move to the next one. The sixth one. Recognize the circumstances. Okay. Very often God leads us and guides us into things that he has planned and prepared for us by orchestrating circumstances or by setting up situations in our lives. Okay. So this could be you know um those that God closes in your life. Sometimes he's opening some doors, closing some doors. Sometimes he's even creating opportunities out of nowhere or sometimes he can even bring some people into your life to guide you to push you towards your calling and your purpose. Okay. So let me share from my own life example how God orchestrated situations. Now you know when I was a teenager um I remember that you know uh as a teenager when I was studying 11th and 12th I I and as a young person you know I loved children okay if any child was lost in our church they would say find Selena and you'll find the child with them and when I was in 11th and 12th grade I was teaching in Sunday school then when I went into Bible college you know um of course my whole initi initiative was to do counseling but I remember you know God put me in a church in the weekend we had to go to different churches in Puna city where I studied you know and we min uh I was put in Sunday school again okay and on campus like I told you last week we had all our faculty staff um their children married students their children so we had something called a uh children's Bible club and there also I was ministering and we had somebody who was running that he was very good in children's ministry so I got a little training from him right and then even during the week we had something called you know um uh ministry time where we were put in different ministries and I was put in schools where I used to go and minister right but in my six-year internship period in my third year I wanted to do counseling with drug addicts and alco colleagues. I told you I was in Kolkata. But even though I wanted to go do counseling, God orchestrated circumstances where I stayed with children they picked up from Ha platform. I minister to you know uh rack picker children during the week. I also ministered to commercial sex workers children apart from counseling you know um u uh drug addicts and alcoholics. And then I remember when when I finished my internship the you know my boss was so happy with the work he said come back we don't have a women's rehab center we will start one and you run it okay so after Bible college I went and then he looked at me he said I think you need to go back home take a break rest and come back pray and feel if it's God's will and you come back and there was no coming back because you know I I um I got into this family ministry. It was family ministry. You know, I was just running all of their programs, uh, you know, marriage programs, premarital, uh, conferences and all that. And one day my boss looks up at me and says, you know, you're very good with children's ministry. Why don't you start a project for children? And I started a project called Trendsetters. And it was something that we did for teenagers in schools. We started it in different cities for five years. I ran that. It was my baby. I was very passionate about it and then like I told you right my my boss said you have to leave because I was not willing to go to Mumbai. Okay. And um and like I said I prayed and how I got into um APC miraculously how God orchestrated situations and how he kept every time I wanted to go away he brought me into children's ministry. Okay. And that is how I'm also I I joined APC uh to start their school outreach ministry and that was also beautifully orchestrated by God. So you see how God orchestrated situations and circumstances where from right from Bible from when I was a teenager right then God was building me into children's ministry and I never knew that one day I would be doing projects starting projects for u ministering to school children but even in Bible college God gave me an opportunity to work among school children and you see how God orchestrated all of those circumstances and those situations. So this shows that God orchestrates situations, people, life circumstances to lead us into his plan and purpose. So if you see the the when I joined that family ministry, I could have just been doing organizing programs for for families and you know premarital conferences but God led that person to speak to me and say hey you're good in children's ministry start a project and I got it started and I know how to you know work it out and run it out. So when I joined APC, I was able to start another new school outreach ministry all by myself. So you see how God was orchestrating circumstances and situations. So you look at your life, how God is orchestrating circumstances and situations and you will know what is God's plan and purpose for your life. Okay. So let's look at a scripture passage there at the bottom of page number 19. Everyone please read 2 Chronicles chapter 16 verse9 please. Okay. So what is it saying here? God is looking across the world for whom? Whom is he looking for? >> For those whose hearts are devoted and loyal to him. So what does he do for them? What does he do for them? >> He show himself. >> Yes. He shows himself strong on their behalf. That means he exerts his strength. He orders his circumstances and situations in their lives. Look at another scripture passage um page number 20, top of page number 20, Psalms chapter 37 23 and 24. Everyone can please read that quickly please. So what does it say? The steps of a righteous person, what does God do? >> He orders his steps. And even if he fall or even if the righteous person falls or make mistakes, what does God do? He upholds them. Yes. And we see that his righteousness is al we are also clothed with Christ righteousness. His righteousness has been imputed upon us. That means his righteousness has been put into our account or we are clothed with his righteousness and his hand strengthens us so that we can continue walking in his plan. Now sometimes we think that closed doors may indicate that God does not want us to proceed in a certain direction. Yes, that is true. But they can also mean that God has better opportunities that awaits us and that is why he's closed a door or a situation in our life. It's not when God closes a door in our life, it's not to hurt us but it is to guide us towards something greater or bigger and better for us. Similarly, when God opens doors of opportunities, it often comes not very easy for us to just enter in and enjoy. But open doors also means a great sense of responsibility and hard work. Right? God does not just make things easy for us. It requires commitment. It requires perseverance and requires a lot of preparation. Right? So I I I remember when I started um you know the school outreach ministry at APC you know I had to start it from scratch. I had to spend hours each day writing the curriculum you know then I had to go and uh visit school principles. Sometimes I had to sit for 3 four hours just to meet one principal you know uh I had to train new volunteers staff um and I also had to go and teach in schools. I remember you know going all the way from my home to a school which is 30 kilometers one way and 30 kilometers back. Okay. And um sometimes I used to go to that school 30 kilometers, finish teaching there and then rush back to come and teach in the Bible college. So it was hard work right but it was part of God's plan for me. Everything was not going to come easy. It required a lot of hard work. In similarly you know um when you're making a fruit juice right whether it's watermelon or orange or grapes what has to to get juice from that fruit what should that fruit be what should the fruit go through? >> It should be crushed. Yes it should be crushed. Likewise in life, God allows challenges that stretches us, that builds our character, that develops lasting value. Okay? So when he stretches us, he increases our capacity to handle more. Right? When God stretches us, he increases our capacity to handle more. So if you see, I you know, I handle the school outreach ministry. I write the school outreach ministry curriculum. I write our APC's children's church curriculum. I teach in our Bible college you know I also oversee our single adults meetup program. So you see a lot of things and people will ask me how do you manage it's because you know when God gives us he stretches us he increases our capacity to handle more just like a mother's womb right when a mother's is preparing to you know for the baby's conceived a baby the baby is growing what happens the womb stretches out right the mother can't say hey I don't want my womb to stretch out you can't have the baby if the wound doesn't stretch out. Okay. So, God stretches us to prepare us for what he has planned. But the key we need to remember and um remind ourselves is that we need to remain committed, faithful and willing to persevere and endure. Yes, God orchestrates circumstances, but we also need to cooperate with him by walking, you know, through the open doors he has open for us. not trying to push the close those that he has you know closed for us also enduring the challenges the difficulties and just trusting God for his timing and his guidance okay now we also need to understand when we're looking at this okay if you look at page number 20 okay so God orchestrates the circumstances but you and I must respond God or orders circumstances and events in our lives that that are in line with his plan and his purpose. Okay. God also positions us and people and places in our lives so that he can help us to walk in his ways. But we need to also discern his circumstance and respond. I I realize that God is not calling me to counseling but he's calling me to children's ministry. Okay. So the last one is not every circumstance that God orders in your life is going to be easy and pleasant. It's always going to be difficult, hard, challenges will be there. But it has lasting values. Okay. So for example, those circumstances can remove laziness, can teach us how to be disciplined, handle money wisely, develop patience and so on. Okay. We also need to understand that God uses correction and discipline. Look at Hebrews chapter 12 5-11. Hebrews 12 5- 11. Can you read that quickly please everyone? It's on bottom of page number 20. Hebrews 12 5-11. Done. Okay, here we see that God chooses whom he loves just like a father chooses his to love his children and correct them. Now the word here chasen means to correct, to discipline or sometimes even scold. Okay? Did your parents correct you? Discipline you. >> Some of us were very good children. Some of us extremely naughty like me required lot of discipline and correction and beating. You know, compared to my other three sisters, I was the naughtiest and I needed a lot of correction and disciplining. Okay, but why do parents discipline us? Out of love. Okay, not by harming us. Okay, but by you know because they want they love us, they guide us and they correct us. In the same way when God disciplines us, he does it not because he hates us. he wants to harm us but because he loves us. Okay. And it's important to note that God does not use sickness, disease, accidents to punish us. Now I was a naughtiest in my family among the four children. I remember never once my parents pushed me from the third floor or second floor and said fall down and learn a lesson. They never took me in the peak traffic and left me in the center of the road and say, you know, go through an accident and then you'll value how important mom and dad are and important to listen. Did would they ever do that? No. Right? They would never, you know, throw me out of the house in the night and say stay the whole the whole night then you learn a lesson. See, God does not give us sometimes people think God gives us sickness and disease or puts us in accidents to punish us, to teach us, you know, or to correct us or discipline us. No, that is wrong. God is not the author of sickness and disease. He cannot give us what he does not have. He's only a God who says, "I'm a God who heals you." He's not the author of sickness. So when we experience hardship we can't blame that and say God is ordering circumstances in our life you know to teach us a lesson to bring us to this place to discipline us. No, you know, when we experience hardships, it's because of our own foolishness, our own sins, our own mistakes. And it's not because God is trying to harm us, right? Just like our parents won't do any of those things, God to discipline us and correct us. You know, of course, God disciplines and corrects us because he loves us, but he will not bring all of these things to discipline and to to to correct us. But there are ways that he uses to correct us. Okay. So the Holy Spirit, people around us or orchestrated circumstances are often ways God uses to correct us. So how does God correct us? Through the Holy Spirit through his word. And he also orchestrates circumstances in ways that will correct us. Okay. Now some circumstances are that we face are not because God is orchestrating it. It's because of our own wrong choices. You need to understand that. Okay? And it's not necessarily from God. Let's look at an example. Deuteronomy 8 1-10. It's on top of page number 21. Okay? So all of you can quickly read that. Deuteronomy 8:es 1 to 10. Deuteronomy chapter 8 verses 1 to 10. Done. Okay. In this passage, it talks about the people of Israel and God led them through the wilderness. For how many years were they in the wilderness? >> 40 years. And why did it take 40 years basically to humble them and to test them to see whether they would keep his commandments? And God humbled them and allowed them to hung you know feel hungry. And he fed them with mana so that they can learn that man does not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord. Okay. So Moses reminds the Israelites that God had chosen them as a father chooses his child and their wandering in the wilderness was actually not part of God's plan and purpose for their not part of God's original plan but it was a consequence of their own disobedience. Of course he was taking them through the wilderness. Okay. But they had to live their 40 extra years. Why? Because they rebelled against God. Okay. It is a consequence of their disobedience. Remember the 12 spies that went to spy the land of Canaan. Okay. 10 of them came back and gave a bad report and caused fear in the people's heart. People started grumbling and they lost their trust in God and they said you know did God bring us here to for us to die in this wilderness and they also were so bold they said let's go back choose a new leader and go back to Egypt right and how do you think God would have felt so we see that even though God was leading them through the wilderness he provided them water he provided them mana. He gave them know pillar of cloud to as a shade during the day, pillar of fire in the night so that they can see. But these people failed to trust God. And what was the punishment there? God said how many days they spy the land of Canaan? 40 days. Each day one year, 40 years you will roam around in this wilderness. Was that God's plan for their life? No. He was going to take them to the promised land. But they lost their faith and trust in God. And so God said, "Just like you said, you said what? God has brought us here to die in this wilderness. Just like you said, all of you will fall down dead here, excepting those who are 20 years and below." You know, they will enter the promised land and two other spies, Joshua and Caleb. So we see did God order these circumstances that they should stay for 40 years? Did God order the circumstance? No. It was their own choice, their own disobedience that led to the extra 40 years. Of course, God was leading them through the pro through the wilderness, through the promised land, but it would not have taken them 40 years, taken them much shorter. But because of their disobedience, we see that God gave them up to their choices and that led you know to them spending more 40 years and everyone dying in the wilderness and not being able to enter the promised land. But despite their obedience, we see that God provided for them through the wilderness journey. He gave them mana to eat, water from the rock. He ordered KF KFC for them, right? No quail. He sent quail. He even ensured their clothing did not fade away. Their Nike shoes, their Adidas shoes, you know, did not wear out. Did they have Nike and Adidas in those days? No. But you know, their footwear did not wear out. You know, while So, we see that God took care of them in spite of their disobedience. So sometimes we may face difficulties in our life and those circumstances may be because of our own choices. But in spite of that, God still cares for us. He still provides for us. But if our hearts are open to him, we are willing to repent. God can reorganize things in our lives and he can still guide us and bring us into his promise. But these people did not repent of their sins. So they died in the wilderness. All of you able to understand? Yes or no? >> Okay. Okay. There's a question here. Ma'am, how to understand these scriptures that says Lord kill and give alive wound and heal makes poor and rich. Okay. So that is Deuteronomy 32. Okay. There are some passages where God says I will send disease upon them. I will send plagues you know um I would um um I would you know um wound them uh you know I will I will make them poor. So how do we understand these passages? Okay. Are you studying ministering healing and deliverance? Okay. uh when you study the course ministering healing and deliverance I think it'll be in the next semester you would learn you know how to understand these passages where God says I will send sickness I will send disease blindness you know he sends snakes to you know uh kill them um he says I will wound them uh you know uh uh and in some places it says you know he made darkness his canopy. How can darkness be there when God is light? So, how do we understand these scripture passages? If you read that book, you know, healing and deliverance, you will be able to understand it. We always need to interpret all of these scripture passages in the light of the nature of God. So when God says I will kill and you know I would wound or I will make poor it's something that we need to understand in the light of the nature of God. Now God cannot give us something that he does not have. Yes or no? If I ask you give me one lakh rupees what will you say? I don't have it. I can't give you one lak rupees. Okay. If I say give me your car you laugh at me. I said, "I only don't have a car. I can't give you one." Right? You can't give me what you don't. Huh? So, our God is not a God who's a God who murders, kills. He's a God who's pure, holy. Okay? He cannot give us sickness. He cannot wound. Okay? So, how do we understand this? You understand it in the light of the nature of God. So when God says I will do this this this that means he's saying that when you are not obedient when you are continuing in sin being rebellious I am going to remove my spiritual uh sorry I'm going to remove my protection from you or the spiritual covering over you. So when God removes his protection or his spiritual covering from you, what happens? You are exposed to the who are you exposed to? When you're not under the spiritual covering of God, who are you exposed to? Satan. Yes. And what does Satan do? >> Satan. Devil. >> Yes. What does Satan do? >> Steal kills. >> Destroys. Yes. The Satan kills. Steal kills and destroys. And why does God remove that? Because you're rebelling. And maybe you will come to a place where you will recognize that you're sinning and you'll repent and come back to God and he will provide you that spiritual covering or that protection. So you need to understand that in the light of God's nature that God cannot wound, he cannot give sickness, he cannot um make somebody poor because he is not poor. He's a god who is rich and he's not somebody who can kill. He's not a murderer. Okay, that means that makes him unrighteous, unholy, um sinful and that is not who his nature is. By nature, the very core of God's nature is that he is holy. He cannot do anything you know apart from his holiness. So you you interpret scripture in the light of the nature of God. You interpret scripture in the light of who Jesus Christ is. So when Jesus came, did he heal? Did he heal the people? Did he curse anyone? Did he curse and bring sickness on any people? Did he say, "Yeah, take the stone and you know, kill that woman." No. See, he forgave that woman caught in the act of adultery, right? He tells her, "Go uh leave your sin. Sin no more." But so we so we interpret all of these scripture in the light of the nature of God and in the person and the work of Jesus Christ because Jesus Christ is perfect theology. Everything we need to understand and interpret about scripture and about God we see it in the person and the life of Jesus Christ. Analie okay so let's uh I okay let's move on now. In addition to God orchestrating circumstances in our life, we need to also understand that Satan can also bring circumstances in our lives to oppose God's plan for your life. Now you are doing God's plan and purpose. Satan will bring his order circumstances in your life to stop you from fulfilling God's plan and purpose. So what are some of the situations that he can do? He can bring harm. He can distract you from your calling. Okay? For example, you know, in your orientation week, all the in-person students, the second half of the day, you uh listen to a whole lot of um uh revivalists and men and women who were used mightily by God. And remember I shared about Maria Woodworth, right? And we see that Maria had a calling, you know, to uh to preach the gospel. And God gave her a vision and said when she preaches, people will just fall down and, you know, um they will repent of their sins. And God said, "I will use you mightily." But because it's a woman, she did not step forward. But what did she do? She got caught in a relationship. She fell in love with a soldier, got married to him, had six children, right? And then when all of those five children passed away, that's when she realized how far she had gone away from God. When her marriage was not coming true, working through, how she realized. So you see, she had a calling, but Satan brought this man, gave her children. She got so caught up, distracted from her calling, but God had to do things, you know, to bring her back into her calling and her purpose. Okay? So, she was distracted by her own personal choices which delayed her calling. So, we need to discern whether a situation comes from God. If it is from God, we need to obey and respond faithfully. If it's from our own actions, we need to repent. We need to correct ourselves and we need to realign ourselves with God's will. Okay? And if it's the enemy that is bringing the situation, we need to understand that we need to use the God-given weapons. What are the God-given weapons that we have to fight the enemy? The word of God is the sword of the spirit. Yes. Huh? >> The name of Jesus. Yes. Sorry. the Holy Spirit, the blood of the lamb. Yes. Use your uh weapons in Ephesians chapter 6 that is there, the armor of God. Use your spiritual authority to resist and overcome him. Okay. So, even in hindrances or challenges, you know, we know that God's grace is sufficient for us. Remember Paul writing in 2 Corinthians chapter 12 verse 9 where he says, "There was given to me a thorn in the flesh." And what was a thorn in the flesh? Yes, it was a hindrance that that came from Satan to stop him from furthering or pursuing his ministry. And he prayed and asked God to remove it. But what did God say? My grace is sufficient for you. Okay. So the thorn in the flesh a hindrance was allowed by God but it was countered by sufficient grace. So we need to understand that there are situations that God orders in our life. There are also situations that in the enemy brings we need to be very sensitive but we also need to know that God's grace is more than sufficient and he will help us. Amen. No amen for that. Okay. Actually >> we know that only the believer are lead by the Holy Spirit. >> Sorry, only the believer. >> Only the new creation are lead by the Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit. Now ma'am. >> Yes. >> Yeah. Actually my my question is what is the difference between consign consigners and the voice of the holy spirit? >> What's the difference between conscience and the voice of the holy spirit? Okay. >> Suppose let's say h if a drunk drunker man is turn into new creation. >> Okay. He he start receiving a he start believing in Jesus Christ and then after a year or a month he's back into his old life again started consuming like drugs and coin maybe drinking. Yeah. >> And then before drinking or consuming something speaking into his mind like don't do this. If you do h it may affect your body or it it will destract your health. >> Yes. >> Uh what is that? Is that from his ability to to think what is good and bad or >> Yes, >> that is from the voice of the Holy Spirit. >> Yes, good question. So uh you know Rome in Romans chapter 1 and chapter 2 Paul says that you know um the Jews have their law which tells them what is right and wrong. But the Gentiles how are they going to know what is right and wrong. So Paul says they have a inbuilt law in their heart and that is their conscience. So that is what he he's explains in Romans chapter 1 and chapter 2. So he says no one are without excuse. The Jews they don't have an excuse that they don't know what is right and wrong. Why they have the law and he says that those who are not Jews the Gentiles and every human being they have an inbuilt law in them. And what is that? Reason and conscience. two things their reason and their conscience. So conscience is something that God has put into every human being irrespective of whether they're a believer or a non-believer. We have something called a conscience and our conscience tells us what is right and wrong. Okay? So it can be their conscience telling them that this is wrong. But it can also be the Holy Spirit that tells them, okay, what you're doing is wrong. But why would a person continue to do it? Like I told you last time, your conscience tells you the first time in a loud voice. The Holy Spirit speaks to you, but you keep continuing in that sin. The voice of your conscience goes down. It becomes dead. That means your conscience dies in that area. You're not able to hear anymore. The Holy Spirit does not leave you because we know that uh John chapter 14 and was and and John chapter 16 we read that Jesus said when the Holy Spirit comes and dwells in you, he will live in you for ever. He will live in you forever. He will not leave you. But the Holy Spirit is very gentle. If you're not going to listen to him, he will just stay quiet. He'll not do anything. He would just let you do your own way. When you repent and come back, he will guide you. Did you understand? Okay. Any other questions? >> All right. Yes, ma'am. I have a question. >> Yes. >> Thank you very much for the teaching. Um please I want I want you to throw more light on um your one of your statements that God does not do evil or bring some kind of severe punishment to harm his people. Uh we just read the book of Deuteronomy that talked about God punishing some people and even killing some people uh so as to chastise them. So can you please throw more light on that statement of Thank you. >> Yeah. So here like we saw in Hebrews chap um Hebrews chapter 11. Okay. So we see that God chasens those he loves just like a human father corrects his children. Okay. The same way God corrects those he loves. Now you are need to understand God's correction and punishment in the context of human father and a mother. And like I said, if a child is very naughty, if your child is very naughty, David, I don't know if you're married and have children, but if you're not, even if you have children, you know, and there you have a very naughty child at home, are you going to throw them from the third floor or the second floor to teach them or to punish them or are you going to put them into, you know, in front of a car and let the car or a train, you know, run over them or their legs to teach them a lesson to punish them or are you going to put them next to a COVID patient so that they get COVID and they get sick, you know, and they learn a lesson. Will you do that? >> No, ma'am. No. >> No. So, how can we when God says, you know, uh he's more loving than our earthly uh fathers, how much more does he love us now? How can he put sickness and disease and cause accidents to punish us or to teach us a lesson? He will never do that. How does God correct us? He corrects us through his word, corrects us through the Holy Spirit or he corrects us through the choices the the the circumstances that arises through our wrong choices. So when we make wrong choices, we face the consequences. We go through difficulties and God can use that to correct us. But just like a parent will correct the child by beating them, maybe punishing them, not allowing them to watch television or not giving them chocolates, but they won't starve them for 5 days or 6 days or 3 days. So we and they won't put sickness in their lives to to teach them something. In the same way, God will never do that for us. Also we know that God is not a God of author of sickness and disease. There is no sickness and disease in heaven. God is not somebody who murders or kills. When we say God kills that means he's a murderer that means he's unrighteous. He becomes unholy and he is like us. When God is holy, God is righteous. He can never do anything that is evil. We understand that aspect of his nature. So how do we understand things like you know uh he sent snakes, he opened the ground, he sent plagues is because like I said you know um God gives us up to our own choices to the consequences of our own choices and we are outside his covering his spiritual protection or his protection. We are exposed to the elements of this world. We live in a fallen world. We're exposed to the elements of this world. We're also exposed to the enemy who is Satan who comes to steal, kill, and destroy. And you know, God just allows them to do anything and everything so that you know and the because we have made that choice and he leaves us to that consequences of our own choices. But yet he's a loving God and he will still care for us but he will wait for us to repent and come back to repentance. Does it mean that we shouldn't actually follow uh or take what Moses said in Deuteronomy and other places the way they sounded because they were sounding as though God was the >> Sorry I'm not able to understand you. I said, does it mean that we shouldn't take what Moses said in in those scriptures the way he said them? Because from the way they sounded in the Old Testament was as though God was the author of killings and destruction of his own people when they s against him. >> Yes. Uh should we not >> we look at it Yeah. We look at it and understand it in the light of God's nature and understand that he has allowed it to be because we have made those choices and those are the consequences of our sin and also there are times when like Ananas and Sapphira right in the early church they sold a piece of property they came and gave it to Peter they kept back of a little of their money and God you know we read that the they lied to the holy Holy Spirit and they were struck down dead. So you can say why did God strike them down dead? You know it's because in times of greater glory when God's glory is manifested in a greater degree and a greater measure there is zero tolerance for sin. So in the case of Israelites they experienced God. They saw his miracles. They saw his deliverance. Yet they failed to trust him. Yet they failed to put their faith and trust in him. And at those times, God gives them up to the consequences of their own choices. And they are opened and exposed to the elements of this world and this and Satan. And also and when there is a a a period of greater glory of God, there is zero tolerance for sin. So we don't take that God sent it, God did it. Even though it mentions there, but it is just because of their rebellious nature, you know, God exposed them to their consequences of their own actions and their decisions. >> All right, ma'am.
