Morning everyone. >> Good morning everyone. Good morning. >> I know we didn't get tea today, but [laughter] [gasps] if you don't have tea, our minds don't work. My mind doesn't work. Anyways, um thank you online students for joining us. Welcome all of you to the class and welcome to our e-learning students as well. Um today we'll continue studying chapter three in this book in this publication fulfilling God's purpose for your life. We are towards the end of the chapter uh where we are looking at um we are on page number 36. We're looking at things to keep in mind even as we go through God's preparation process. Okay. So page number 36 um we looked at um five different areas. The last one we looked at was to beware of complency. Uh now we look at the we look at the sixth one. Preparation time is never wasted time. Before we do that, can one of you lead us in prayer, please? Anyone can lead us in prayer. >> Heavenly Father, we thank you for this wonderful time that you have given us. Oh God, we just surrender this day into your hands. We thank you for mom. We thank you for all the students. So God, we pray that as you speak to us today, let it go deep into our hearts and build us and change us into the vessel that you want us to be. Holy Spirit, take complete control. We give the rest of the time into your mighty hands. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen. >> Amen. Thank you. So if you have any questions, online students, you can please feel free to uh post it in the chat and then I will answer it. Okay. So we'll move on to chapter three uh page number 36. We're looking at the things to be kept in mind even as we go through God's preparation process. So the sixth one is preparation time is never wasted time. Okay. The more the time God takes to prepare us, the better. God can use uh us uh mightily when we are prepared, when we are ready for the work. And you will also learn precious life lessons uh in the preparation process and your calling will also be great greater because greater the preparation greater the calling. Okay? And your preparation aligns you to God's calling. The seventh one is don't be hasty. Look at what Proverbs chapter 21 verse 5 says. Everyone can read it. It's on bottom of page number 36. So it says the plans of the diligent will lead surely to plenty but those of everyone who is hasty surely to poverty. What is the meaning of hasty? Yes. Doing things very fast without giving it thought. Okay. without asking God, without waiting on him. Okay. So sometimes we want the preparation process to go on quickly. Okay. Um and we don't want the preparation process to take time. We want everything very quick and fast. Okay. So even as we step into our assignments, uh we want our preparation to be done very very quickly. Why? The Bible warns us that if we are hasty, you know, it leads to what? What does it lead to if you're hasty? Poverty. Yes. What is poverty? There's lack. Yes. Lack in almost every area. So each season of your life, you know, even as you prepare for it and God prepares you, let it run its course. Okay? Don't be in a hurry. Don't rush ahead of God. Be patient. Also, don't attempt something you are not called to do. Right? Do not do what God has not called you to do. Do do. Don't look at somebody else's role and think, okay, that role looks better, that assignment looks better, that job looks better, that calling looks better, and I will do that. Okay? So, that is not your calling. You stay faithful to what God has called you to and what you are gifted to. Do you understand? Right? Okay. Sometimes we can be people who are uh just imagine if we are serving in church, we'll be part of the media team, okay? And we will be in a backstage or we'll be serving tea or we will just be doing setup or pack up or whatever. But you think, okay, that's not a glamorous job. You want to be on the stage. You want to be a worship leader or you want to be part of the worship team or you want to preach. Well, if you sing well, you have the gifting. you the you have the calling, you can go ahead. But if you don't, that's not your area of gifting and calling. You do what area you are called and gifted to. Okay? So don't do what is somebody else's soul, what looks better in somebody else's shoes. You do what is your calling and what God has gifted you to do. So each season, God takes us through the preparation for the next season. Right? I was I I've been telling you all along that whatever is your next season in life, God prepares you in this season for the next. So be prepared in this season so that you can take on your next season. Okay. The eighth one is what is the eighth one? The last one. Stay within your area of calling and gifting. Yes. Don't try something. Okay. that is um also part of the thing. But the eighth one is God's preparation process is progressive. Right? That means what? When God prepares you, it happens very very slowly. Okay? God takes time to build our character. He takes time to build our attitude and he does it step by step. So our role is to be faithful in the season we are in until God moves us to the next season. Amen. onto the next level. So we need to know that understand that when God takes time in preparing us, he's taking time to build our character, build and change our attitude. So the qu the sooner and the quicker we are willing to change our attitude and our character, God will move us to the next level. Okay. So that was chapter three. Okay. uh how God prepares us uh to fulfill his calling and his purpose, God's preparation process. We'll move on to chapter 4. Before that, anyone has any questions? Any questions? No. Okay, let's move to chapter four. So chapter 4 talks about you know how we need to position ourselves to fulfill God's plan and purpose for our for our lives. Okay. Now we know that God has a plan and purpose for our lives. But what must we do? We must first of all ask God for what is his plan and purpose. Once we know God's plan and purpose for our lives, we need to position ourselves rightly. So when we are in the right place at the right time, you know, doing what God wants us to do, then we receive God's blessing, his anointing, and his provision. But if we are not in the right place, it might be the right time for God to fulfill his purpose through us, but if we are not in the right place, then we don't receive God's blessing, anointing, provision, protection, promotion. So it's positioning is very very important and we see that in the U Bible. Okay. So sometimes you might say okay I am uh in the right season. I know this is a season God wants to do this but why am I not experiencing God's blessing? Why is there no uh breakthrough? Why am I finding everything as a block? You might be in the right season but you are in the wrong place. So positioning is very very uh important. So if we are in the right place at the right time, positioning ourselves in the right place, then we receive his provision, his protection, his blessings and we move um you know in uh and God moves in our lives and accomplishes what he wants us to do. Okay. So let's look at an example of what I've been saying. For example, Esther, right? What race was Esther from? She was a Jew. Okay. And who did she marry? Did she marry a Jew? Uh, a gentile, a pagan king. Yes. So, Jews were not allowed to marry outside their race. But we see she marries a gentile king, a pagan king, and she's taken to the palace and she becomes a the queen to King Aassurus, the king of Persia. Okay. Can you just uh put this please? Okay. Now, why do you think God positioned Esther to marry a pagan king? Why? For a reason, for a purpose. The Bible says uh Modiah tells um Esther who knows for such a time as this. Okay. So, we see that Esther was in the right place at the right time. doing the right thing and God used her to save the Jews. Right? Okay. So God used her to save the Jews and she was in the right place at the right time doing the right thing and hence she was able to save the Jews. So when God positions us in a Thank you. when God positions in a us in a place we must see it as significant and strategic that God wants to extend his kingdom through us. And that is why he has brought us here. So we need to position ourselves. So for example, many of you are now in the right place. You are at APC Bible College. You know, you are at the right time doing the right thing. And what is the right thing that you're doing? Studying God's word. You're equipping yourself for ministry. So everything uh uh so look at everything in life from that perspective. Okay? So even if you're not you're not in APC Bible college some of you online students e-learning students you know you are also enrolled in this courses but you are also pursuing other jobs or other studies or degrees you know you have your relationships you have your family you know so everything that you do you should look at it from the perspective of building God's kingdom okay so for example now all of you are in uh uh you know uh uh in-person students, you're in APC Bible College, you're pursuing your studies here, you're looking to get a theological degree, but don't just see that as getting an education or a degree, but look at it as something greater that God is preparing you for a greater plan and a purpose. Okay? So for example, your job, okay, you're not just earning money for food, okay, and rent, but it's an opportunity for you to extend God's kingdom. Amen. So whatever job you're doing, don't look at it as something that is going to earn what happened to her, dear. Can you please call her back? Yeah. Can somebody run and call her back, please? Thank you. Okay. It's not just to earn money or food or rent. It's an opportunity to extend God's kingdom. Okay. So, even your relationships, whether your relationship with your parents, your siblings, your friends, your partners, all are significant in God's plan. Okay? So all God has uh brought them into your life and they are significant people and part of God's plan and purpose for your life. So even your family, God uses your family to release his kingdom purposes, your location, whether it's your home, whether it's your city or even if God takes you to another place, you know, it is God using that to extend his kingdom in and through you. So whatever you're doing in life, whatever stage of life you are in, you need to understand and look at it from the perspective of God extending his kingdom in and through you. Are you all able to understand? Yes. Okay. So when you look at life with this perspective that God is using this to extend his kingdom, life takes on greater meaning and significance. Okay? So even if it is you're getting married or your marriage or your family you know even your job you know just the ordinary things that you are doing you're just a housewife whatever but all of these are channels through which God releases his kingdom work okay so look at everything from kingdom perspective and also position yourself in such a way that through your studies through your work family and every aspect of life God's kingdom will be extended in and through you. Okay. Now, why is it important for us to position ourselves? Okay. It's important. The first thing we looked at is when we position ourselves at the right place at the right time in the right season, we will ex fulfill God's purpose for our life. For example, we saw was Esther, right? She was at the right place at the right time doing what God wanted her to do and God fulfilled his purposes through her. Okay. The second thing is we need to position ourselves to receive God's provision. Okay. When we are in the right place at the right time doing the right thing we will experience God's provision into our life. Okay. So if you want to see God as Jehovah Gyra, your provider, what should you do? You need to position yourself right. Okay, let me give you an example. All of you know the prophet Elijah. Yes. What did God tell Elijah to go and tell King Ahab? Well, don't read the Old Testament. [laughter] >> What did God tell uh Elijah to tell King Ahab? There will be no rain. Very good. There'll be no rain on the land. So, nobody can take a bad news to the king. Right? So, Elijah, he obeyed God. He quickly ran into the king's palace and he told the king that there will be no rain. Okay? And then what does he do? He just runs away from the king's palace because he knows he will be caught and be killed. Okay. But what does God tell him? God tells him go to the stream or the brook. Stream is a small not a river but a small water body. Okay. Go to the brook of Cherith and uh you know God said I will command the ravens to give you food. So when he was by the stream of water, he got water to drink from that stream. But also God sent him food from the ravens. Okay? So Elijah obeyed and went there. Now the stream dried up and what did God tell Elijah to do? Go to Zerapit. Okay, this town and a widow will take care of you. What does Elijah do? He just obeys God. He goes. There was famine in the land. All the people in the village had no food to eat. But Elijah and his and this widow woman and her son had food to eat. Why? Because Elijah was at the right place at the right time doing what God wanted him to do. Just imagine if God told uh Elijah told um God, God, you want me to go to that stream of chariot, please come sit. If you want me to go to the stream of chariot, please sit down. I'll talk to you later. If you want me to go to the stream of chariot, then you know it's an open space. The soldiers will easily find me out, right? Yes or no? Soldiers can easily look for him. And he could have also grumbled and told God, "God, how can I eat from um you know the ravens?" Just a minute, please. Okay. How can I eat from the ravens? Ravens are birds that you know eat dead uh meat and you know uh things that are dead. How can I do that, God? But Elijah obeyed and he positioned himself by the stream and he [snorts] ate what you know God sent for him. So even though there was famine, did God have did Elijah have food to eat? Yes or no? Yes. When he went to this village, God told him to go to Zerapit. He could have told God, "Zeraphit is the queen Jezebel. She's a wicked queen. She will find me. How can I go to her village?" But he just obeys. And God says, "You will meet a widow." And she says, "How can I meet a widow? She's not married. What will people think? I'm a man. She's a woman." No. But she just obeys God. And he just obeys God and goes there. And when he goes there, the entire village has no food to eat. But Elijah, the widow, and her son have food to eat. So what do we learn from this? We learn even if you look at various uh narratives or stories in the Bible or life examples in the Bible when people were in the right place at the right time doing what God wanted them to do they experience not only God's purposes being fulfilled to their life but also God's provision right so that is another thing that we can um learn even when we position ourselves right we will also experience God's provision uh protection Okay, look at Psalm chapter 91. It's on page number 38. I want you all to just read verse one, please, everyone. Psalms chapter 91 verse1. What does it say here? When you what is your place of protection and safety? In the secret place. What is the secret place? Okay. The secret place of the most high. But what is the secret place of the most high? Yeah. The shadow of his wings. So when you are in the secret place under the shadow of his wings, you will experience his protection and safety. And that is why the Psalms, if you read this whole psalm on page number 38 and 39, it says, "God will be your refuge and fortress. He will deliver you and save you from all the pestilences, from all the plagues, from all the problems and difficulties. He will cover you with his feathers and under his wings you will find refuge. Okay. So our protection is connected to the one in or the place in which we dwell or the place where we go and find our safety. So if the most high God is our dwelling place, is our place of refuge and safety, then we will receive his protection. Um and you know his every promises in in our lives will apply to us. Okay. So Psalm 91 is a powerful psalm of divine protection. But remember it can only become a divine protection when we dwell under his wings. when we come under his protection. But if you step out of God's protection, his wings, his covering, you will expose yourself to the world and to Satan. So the best place to be is in the center of his will. Okay? Doing what God wants you to do. And there you will receive his protection, his providence, his blessing, and even his promotion. Amen. Are you all able to understand what we're talking about? Positioning ourselves. So even when we position ourselves right, we would also experience God's promotion. How many of you like to be promoted? Right? All of us like promotion. Okay? None of us like to stay where we are, right? Um and we uh so to grow into the purposes of God, we must position ourselves correctly so that we can receive uh you know promotion. So let's look at an example. David, now we looked at David's uh life, right? Um on page number um where is that? Page number 39. Okay. Oh, for me this is page number 30. Page number 29 and verse and page number 30. You said 29, dear. >> Oh, this the same book. >> Oh, this book says 29. Anyways, okay. If you look at life, the life of David, what age was he anointed as king? >> 17 years. And when does he become the king over Judah? When he was 23 years old. Right now, King Saul died. And David was 23 years old. And David knew that he is supposed to be the next king of Israel. And what does David do? He inquires of God. He asked God, God, what should I do next? Right? And what does God tell him? God tells him, "Go to uh Hebrin." Okay? And he goes to Hebbran. And we read in 2 Samuel chapter 2:es 1-4, David obeyed. And the tribe of Judah made him the king over there. Okay. Now, if imagine if David had not asked God, God, you know, what should I do? See what if you just thought, hey, I'm comfortable in this caves. I'm like um thousand, you know, in this forest just jumping from one place to another in this fresh air greenery, you know. I have this 400 men with me. We go for our raids and we fight and we win. I'm comfortable here. I don't want to become king, right? Would he have ever become king? No. When King Saul died, he knew he had to be the next king. So he asks God, "What should I do?" God tells him, "Go to Hebrin." He goes to Hebrin. So he positions himself at the right place at the right time doing what is the right thing. And God makes him the king of Judah. And we see many years later he becomes the king over all of um Israel. Right? So it was because David was able to position himself at the right place that he also experienced God's provision uh promotion. Right? So if you want God's protection, if you want God's promotion, if you want God's uh uh you know to God's uh plan to be fulfilled in your life and you also want God's uh protection and uh providence then you need to be at the right position yourself at the right place at the right time doing the right thing. So some of you might be saying hey I'm doing this from a long time I'm not seeing any success. I'm not seeing any blessing. I don't know what is happening. Maybe you need to ask yourself, are you at the right place, the right time, doing what God wants you to do. Amen. Okay. Are you able to understand? Okay. Also, we need to understand that we need to position ourselves in the current move of God. What does that mean? It means that God has not stopped working. Does God still do miracles today? >> Yes. >> Yes. Does he still bring revival? Yes. Okay. So, we just can't live in the past. We cannot just say, "God, you moved on the day of Pentecost." Hallelujah. Very good. The early church, you did mighty signs, miracles, and wonders. That's history. God, very good. Thank you. Okay. Instead, we must look at the past and learn from it and say, "God, if you did it then, why not do it now?" Right? Do it in our day and time as well. say okay so we see that God brought in if you look at church history we see God brought many uh raised up many reformers uh many revivalists who uh you know um uh brought back the truths the doctrines uh brought back the you know the disciplines in the church and also brought of the move of God and you know there was a revival in the church and there was a growth so if you see um and learn from church history, you will see God using many reformers, revivalists, people that he raised up to bring things back into order, the truth, the doctrines back. So God brought this uh reformer Martin Luther in the late um 1400s and you know he brought about reformation in the church and we see that when he brought the reformation there was a revival that swept over America and England and many missionaries were sent out throughout the world and we see countless lives were transformed. Okay. So what did uh you know these reformers these men women do? They did you you learned um you know in-person students in the second half of the you know um orientation week. You you you learned many reformers and revivalists and healing uh evangelists and all of them. Right? So God used all of them to raise up the things in the church. And what if they said okay all this is in the past this is not supposed to happen now. what would have happened right there would have been no revival. God would not have been able to move in the way that he uh envisioned to do. So we should not just live in the past. We must cry out and say God when you did this revival in this place in that place in church history you know in the early church we see such a great revival you use Paul as a great missionary. You can say God do that in my life or do that in our time. You can say God bring such a revival in our city, in our nation, in our generation. There's so much of immorality, so much of sin. And you know, just one revival can change everything. So you can be a person who positions yourself for God to move, for God to use like he used Moses, like he used Paul, like he used Timothy, you know, and all the people in the Bible, can God use you in the same way? Yes. No. >> Yes or no? >> Yes. Okay. Can there be a revival? Can there be a move of God like in the early church we read in Acts? Yes. But what should we do? We need to desire that and we need to position our self for what God is doing. Okay. So let's look at and learn from some lessons. Uh numerous scripture passages are given in uh page 40 and 41. So I want you to look at that. Please everyone turn to I don't know what page it is. The bronze serpent page number >> 40. Okay. The same thing is 40 here. Okay. I don't know how is that. Okay. 40. The bronze serpent. You know the story about the bronze serpent? Yes. Yeah. What is the story of the bronze serpent? Who sends the serpents? Okay, none of you read the Old Testament. I think all of you are the new covenant. So, you're only reading the New Testament. I hope at least you're reading the New Testament. Okay. So this is happening in numbers 21 5-9. We see that the Israelites sin against God and God was so angry with him and he sent fury serpents among them. Okay. And people were all dying and people called cried out to God and God also cried out Moses also cried out to God and God told Moses to make a bronze serpent and put it on top of a pole. So everyone who is bitten by the serpent when they see that bronze serpent they will live and not die. Okay. So that was something God used as a remedy for the people to be healed then. But that was a one-time remedy. But later on if you read 2 Kings 18:4, if you look at 2 Kings 18:4, it's on page number 40. Everyone please look into your books. there on page number 40. Okay. Uh we see that the people turned this serpent into what? A god, an idol and started worshiping it. Okay. Now, what did they do? They failed to move with God. God used the serpent as a remedy for one instance but they failed to move with God from there into the to what God had you know for them in the future. Okay. And that became a hindrance for them. Okay. So that became a hindrance from them to pursue God to even you know grow in a relationship with God. So what am I trying to say? God will do some things in your life. It doesn't mean that you know you just hold on to that and sit back and do you know nothing after that. Just live in the past. I know people who have accomplished great things in the past you know and uh they reach 40 and they just sit back and they are saying I did this I did this. I did this. It's all in the past. Well that was a move of God in the past. God does not live in the past. He has more things for you to accomplish in the present and in the future. So keep moving on with God. You're able to understand? Yes. Okay. Let's look at another example on page number 40 about Moses. Exodus chapter 17 uh verses 1-6. Okay. Now the Israelites were traveling in the wilderness of sin. Okay. And they camped at Refidium and there was no water for people to drink. And again the people started grumbling and they asked Moses to give them water to drink. Okay. So Moses was very very angry and he said why are you tempting me and tempting God? And you know the people started murmuring and complaining and said you know we should have lived in Egypt. And go Moses cried out to God saying what shall I do with this people? They're almost ready to stone me. And what does God tell him? Go before the people. Look at your books. Page number 41. Okay, page number 41 on top of uh the page uh verse five. The Lord said to Moses, "Go on before the people and take with you some of the elders of Israel. Also take in your hand your rod with which you struck the river and go. And behold, I will stand before you there on the rock in Horeb, and you shall strike the rock, and water will come out of it, and the people may drink. Okay, so this is what Moses was supposed to do. Okay, then look at the other instance in Numbers chapter 20. This time again, there was no water for people to drink. Okay, and what does God tell Moses? Take your rod and speak to the rock. Speak to the rock. Right? So, he had to speak to the rock. But what did Moses do? He took his the rod. He was so angry with the people. And what did he do? He lifted his hand. Look at verse 11 on page number 41. Lifted his hand, struck the rock twice with his rod, and water came out. Do you think God was happy with what Moses did? No. He was so angry with Moses. He was so upset with Moses. He said, "Because you fail to disobey me, you will not enter the promised land." Right? So we might think, "Oh my gosh, such a big punishment for just one disobedience." But what do we learn from this? Greater the glory, there is zero tolerance for sin. Moses experienced the greater glory of God by looking at all the signs, miracles, and wonders. You and I are also in a period where we are able to see everything that God has done in the past. We have the scripture. We have the gifts of the Holy Spirit. We see the miracles. But in a time of greater glory, when we choose to disobey God and sin, there is zero tolerance for sin from God. So that was you know the punishment that Moses got. But what do we learn from it? God may work in one way in the past. He told Moses strike the ro uh uh take the rod strike the rock. That was one time. But the second time what did he do? Not strike but speak. So we need to move with the move of God. We can't just stay where we are. Every time God tells us to do something, we need to move with what he's asking us to do. Okay. Look at another example at the bottom of page number 41. John's disciples. John chapter 1 35-37. Quickly read that please. Just two verses there at the bottom of page number 41. So we see that who was John the Baptist? He prepared the way for Jesus. And when Jesus came, what happened? What do we read here? What do John's disciples do? Please look at your book, page number 41. What do they do? They leave John and they >> follow Jesus, right? Do you think they did the right thing? >> Yes. Why? John already told them that I am not the Messiah, the lamb of God. This is the lamb of God. Okay. So, if they had continued to cling on to John, they would have missed the current move of God that was happening through Jesus. So you're able to understand right? So we need to move how God is moving in the current time in the current season in the history what God is doing to see that and move along with that. So if you want to fulfill God's plan and purpose for our lives if we want to experience God's blessing we need to position ourselves at the right place at the right time doing the right thing what God wants us to do. then we will experience his provision, his protection, his promotion and we'll also move in the current move of God. Okay? Or if we can put it this way, if we want to fulfill God's purpose for our lives or if you want to fulfill God's purposes, we must position ourselves for his provision, for his protection, for his promotion, and for his current move. Right? You're able to understand this is such an important lesson in our lives. Many of this many people miss out on this important truth in life and they struggle through life and as a result of that they get so upset and angry with God and they think God does not you know love them, God does not care for them. You know that's not true. It's because they are not positioning themselves at the right place at the right time doing what God wants them to do. But if you are, I'm telling you, you will experience the supernatural provision, supernatural protection, supernatural promotion. No one can stop that. And also the current move of God. Terasa says, "Ma'am, we cannot see you. You can't see me. The rest of them can see you, ma'am." >> Yeah. Okay. Thank you. So what are some of the things that um you know we can do? Um look at page number 42 please. Things to keep in mind as you position yourself. What should you do? Be willing to let go. Right? Tell your neighbor be willing to let go. Why should you let go? Because if you hold on too tightly to the past, if you cling on too tightly to the present, you know, um it can it will it'll hinder you from stepping into the future that God has prepared for you. Okay, there are many people who say I did this, I did that, I accomplished this, I accomplished that. But if you look at their lives now in the present, it is very dull and dry and they're not doing anything. Why? Because they're living in the past. We need to be willing to let go and take on what God has for us in the present and in the future. Okay. Now, of course, our future often feels unfamiliar. Future can also be demanding. It can be uncomfortable because we do not know what is happening. But step forward and you know uh and keep doing what God is asking you to do. Okay? Only when you let go, when you have empty hands, can somebody fill it. When your hands are empty and let go of things, only then God can fill you or God can put things in your hand. Okay. The second thing is um sorry um even as we're talking about willing to let go, what should you let go of? What are some of the things you should let go of to let God fulfill his plan and purpose? What should you let go of? Come on. What should you let go of? What past? What about What about the past? Past hurts. >> Thoughts, bitterness, rage, >> rage, anger, yes. Past mistakes, past rage, anger, bitterness, hurts, disappointments, frustrations, >> repetition of events, ma'am. >> Yes. The repetition of events. Yes, you know, uh the present struggles that keep us stuck, you know, just let go of everything because these can become a hindrance from you to running into God's plan. Okay. What should you never let go of? Two things you should never let go of. What is that? Your relationship with God, >> your faith in God, your relationship with God, and your salvation. Your salvation and your relationship with God are your eternal anchor. Never let go of it. Okay? And also never let go of whom? Your family, right? Your spouse, your children, your parents. Of course, they might not be perfect. You know, sometimes we just feel like leaving them and running away. They might not be perfect, but God calls us to honor our parents, honor our marriage, and nurture our family. Amen. Okay. Okay. So, the B there should be a balance. Even as you let go of everything that prevents your your progress, hold on tightly to what is eternal and God ordained. So let go of things that are preventing your progress and hold on tightly to your salvation, your relationship with God, what is eternal and your family that is God orained. And trust that when you release the unnecessary things, God will place something new and something better into your hands. Amen. Sometimes we are not able to receive from God because we are holding on to the things of the past. the bitterness, the hurt, the regrets, the failures. Just let go. The second thing is be willing to step into the unknown. You know the future is unknown to us but not unknown to God. Amen. Amen. So often stepping forward, it means when you step forward, when you have to step into doing some things, it requires hard work. There's a lot of effort you have to put. There's a lot of sacrifice that you have to make. things won't be perfect or easy. Okay? But when God says go, you can go confidently. When God says do this, you can do it confidently. When God says take on this, you can take it on confidently. Why? Because the king of heaven and all of heaven is backing you. Amen. And when God is backing you, there is nothing more that you need because he will just enable you. prov like we saw he will provide, protect, promote, and he will move you into whatever he has for you. Let's look at an example of Abraham. Did Abraham know exactly the place he was going to when God told him, "Leave your family and go," did he know the place? No. Did he see the place? No. God simply said, "Go." And Abraham stepped out. Okay? And God led him not only to his inheritance but also secured blessings for generations after him. It must have felt very uncertain for Abraham. But God says step out. He stepped out and he received his blessing. In the same way when God says do this, step out, take on this, just do it because when God says he will also back you up. Amen. The third thing is be careful how you enter and how you leave. Right? How you leave one place determines how you enter the next. Okay? So for example, God may be moving you from one job to another job, right? Or God may be moving you from one city to another city and you are very excited about this breakthrough. But you might also be tempted to use that as that move as an opportunity to get things right with people. Set things right with people. Vent out your anger. Maybe you're leaving this job. You're angry with some colleagues because they messed up your workplace, you know, made things difficult for you. Or maybe you are angry with your boss, right? So when you're leaving, what are you saying? I will give them a good piece of my mind. I will show them because anyway I am not going to be coming back here. Right? So you can vent your anger at your boss. You can scold your colleagues. You can burn bridges. Right? But what happens? That is not a godly attitude. If you leave with anger, bitterness, resentment, you carry that same emotions into the next place. And many of us do that in marriage. We don't have good relationship with our s siblings, our parents. We're just waiting and I get married, just leave this place, never come back, never see their faces, you know, and you go with so much of hatred, anger and bitterness. And what are you doing? You're actually carrying that into your marriage with your spouse, with your in-laws. And that's the same kind of attitude and reaction you are going to show them later on. Okay. So those emotions are not good and will not take you into a better it might be a better job but it will ruin that place. It might be a good marriage but can ruin that as well you know. So if sometime later God brings you back to the city or to the same job or maybe that boss becomes your boss in that you know he comes to your company. Just imagine you know always remember people talk your employees recommend you your boss will recommend you into the you know to the other bosses the other workplaces. So leave with love forgiveness and grace. When you do that, when you enter your the next season, you will enter with the right spirit. And when you enter with the right attitude, God will use you in a mighty way uh to fulfill what he has and plan for you. Okay. The fourth thing is be open to change. Okay. God will bring new things in your life. Okay. But you cannot receive them if you resist change. If you don't want change, there's nothing that can happen in your life. Yes, things will be different. There'll be new workplace, new city, new relationships. Everything will not be like the same before. Everything will not be comfortable. But these changes will mature you. They will shape your character, make you more Christlike. So, be willing to adapt. So even you're here in the Bible college you know you might be uh unhappy with the timings of sleep when you have to wake up what you have to do the food everything just be grateful and thankful because that teaches you that disciplines you that trains you into righteousness and holiness and also prepares you for greater things that God has in store for you. Okay the fifth one prepare for the move as much as possible. So when you pray and ask God about the next season of your life, the Holy Spirit will reveal enough for you to prepare. And that might mean, you know, preparing for a new job, preparing for higher studies, preparing for marriage, preparing for parenting, preparing for a new business to open up.
