As global inequality widens, indigenous rights face increasing threats, and climate crises intensify, the organization recognizes that these challenges are deeply interconnected rather than isolated issues. Consequently, their response strategy must evolve to address these complex realities holistically, acknowledging that solving one problem often depends on resolving others within a broader systemic context. At the heart of this new approach is the critical importance of indigenous sovereignty, which Kairos now identifies as essential not only for the justice of indigenous peoples but also for safeguarding land, water, communities, and our shared future. The organization is entering a new chapter that is more connected and centered on movement-building, firmly grounded in the principles of indigenous self-determination. To support this vital transition, Kairos is launching a matching fund campaign where every donation dollar will be matched by a generous donor up to a total of $25,000. This initiative allows individual contributions to go twice as far, effectively doubling the impact of each gift given today.
