You had a fantastic win on Tuesday. 68% possession, 36 shots, eight on target, nearly 600 passes, four goals, clean sheet. The question is, how do you translate that to the Premier League? >> Yeah, good question. um just um like I said at the last games um when we um didn't got a win but we we played we played um uh good um uh we just have to continue um so it means find the right balance in in everything we got not nervous after the first results um we um played quite confident even um in the in the cup game and that's what we have to now do in the next game in the next home game against Brenford as well. Believe in our qualities and our abilities. Um put in all the effort we we have into the game and then um yeah it's uh quite possible to win a Premier League game. >> Brian Christie scored a hattick, his first since 2019. He hasn't started in the Premier League so far this season. How much of a headache has he given you and maybe one or two other players as well to get into that starting 11 in a Premier League side? >> Oh, there's no headache at all because um I'm I'm uh really really happy about the situation I I have um that I have 21 uh competitive players and we still miss um for longterm injuries players. part. It's very important for us now, right now, if we start to play every three days to have a competitive squad. That's what um uh we showed um in the in the cup game and in the games before. And now it's up to me to um yeah, bring the right players in the right moment to handle the load um and um yeah, to make make good decisions. In terms of those injuries at the moment ahead of the Brenford game, have you got any other concerns, any other doubts after Tuesday that may not be involved at the weekend? >> Mo, all good. We had a good training today. The the leads, they played more, had uh more or less um uh recovering and the other guys um had a good training. No more injuries um no issues. Um so so everyone is is fit. And of the four main injuries that are keeping players out longterm, Velco, Amin Adley, Junior Krooppy, and Julian, who of those is the most likely to come back first? >> Yeah, the plan is that Welco um is the first one who's who's coming back? I think he just started on the pitch to do some runs and and um with the ball. The next one could be Amin some days later. Um, we expect Junior back um, yeah, at the beginning of November maybe and the last one will be Julian. He needs a little bit longer, but the plan is to get him back um, in in November as well. >> Brenford at the weekend, really positive start for them. They haven't lost the game in their their four matches in in all competitions. When you analyze Keith Andrew's side, what have you learned about them and how much of a challenge they'll be? >> Good team, um, intense quality, good high pressing um, in every phase of the game with with quality. They are able to to have possession. They are able to to have transition situations. They are good in set pieces. They defend well. So, they are everywhere um quite quite good in every phase of the game. So it's getting a tough challenge but we are um positive to to yeah are that we are competitive enough and that we have our strengths um to beat them at home with our fans. >> I was looking at the stats and and I found it quite hard to believe Bournemouth have never beaten Brenford in the Premier League. The last league win was back in 2014 and Bournemouth obviously successful with Eddie how successful with Andonia Raiola they've never beaten Brenford in the league. you could create something, you could achieve something that that those managers haven't done. H how do you do it and how much would it mean to have your own small piece of history so early on at this club? >> I think we won 2021 in the championship against >> in a cup class is a cup. >> Yeah, something like this. So, um at the end it's a it's a Premier League game. So, important one um against a tough opponent. It's Brenford. Okay. We didn't beat them for a long time, but we, as I said, we know that we are able to do it, and that's the only thing um we we think about to to get our first win in the Premier League this season. We played well so far uh most of the games. Um but now we have to to reward ourselves with the with the win at home. When you look at the the opponent Brenford compared to to Everton or Newcastle, how much are the styles changing between the teams you face? Do you have to alter things? Do they play differently? Do they set up differently or are they all very similar? >> Well, I think the setup mostly against Everton and and um Newcastle is quite the same. to 4231 4213 um uh and everyone has different uh habits. Um and as I said um Brenford is a team who is able to play with long balls, first balls, second balls. They have a good uh connection with Thiago as a target player. Then they play closer with the with the wingers together to to have better uh connection. They use the the fullbacks. Um they have a good number 10 with Damskart. Um so uh there is everything um you have to be ready, you have to be prepared, you have to be aware. Um you you you have to close spaces and and then we need to use um uh yeah the spaces we get we speak about with the team. Um like we did it um yeah two days ago in the cup. We stick really well to the plan we we had. That's why we had 36 shots. And um yeah, we we we just need to continue. >> And just finally for me, we've got the European games coming next week. It's going to get busy playing Thursdays and Sundays and midweek matches, progression in the cup. How important do you feel it is to really set the tone for this season that you get that first win in the Premier League? You get that before you go into Europe, you get that before the international break? >> It's important. and um I would love to to have it done already. Um but it's not the case. So we need to work for it. Um we have to stick together. We have to believe in it. Um uh it is what it is in in in football and if you start a season um it's always uh if you if you win your first game, it's like okay now we can uh go. So, uh we we need to do it and uh I think a home game with with our fans um would be um or is a is a big chance um to do it and always the next game is is a chance to to to win game to change things to change situations and as we showed and as I said we are we are quite confident. >> Thank you. >> Hi Marco. >> Hi. Um, have the club disciplined or fined Ryan Christiey's three-year-old son for attacking and injuring him ahead of the game this week? >> Injuring. >> He broke his thumb and he said it was his three-year-old son who jumped on him. >> Yeah. >> So, have the club taken any action? Is that one of your players? That's >> Yeah. It's quite funny because every day you try to say hello to Ryan. It's a different Ryan. how to uh Okay. But um yeah, it's what it is. Uh is is uh if you have kids, you know, it's always possible to get injured. Um they have always something in their minds. Um but if it's uh uh yeah, if it get to a point that everyone scores scores three goals, um then I invite every kid at home to do some stupid things with uh with their dad. you talked about his uh it's not a headache for you to have players of of his quality and as part of this really competitive squad. What what qualities does does Ryan bring to you? You know, what aspects does he add to Bournemouth? >> Yeah, it's his attitude. It's his effort. Um the way he uh works on the pitch, out of possession, in possession, um he'd like to have every ball. um the way he um switched the play um in in the game on on Tuesday, the way he played passes. Um uh he increased the speed of our game. He set it the speed of our game. If we maybe need some rest or something like this, he's uh just a good baller um with um with a good mentality. I'm sorry if you've already been asked about this, but Junior Krooppy being part of the Ballon door ceremony and being one of the most exciting players, you know, in world football and recognized on the nominations list. What sort of achievement is that for him and, you know, a big lift obviously as he's he's coming back from injury? >> Yeah, it's uh we are happy for him. We are happy for for the club. It's um everyone is proud on him and um he deserved it uh because I think he was the first teenager who scored more than 10 goals in the in the Premier League and that's not over one season. He had less games um he he played last season I think so. So um is a young guy, talented guy. We are happy to have him here um to support him to get back um on the pitch. Right now he's still injured. We are waiting for him. Um we need his 13 goals or 20 goals this season as well in in all competitions we are still in. Um yeah we just support him and and uh as I said quite happy to have him here and about his his nomination. >> Speaking of young guys, you're still very much in your 40s. So you've done over 450 games as a manager at this stage in your career. Is that something that you ever think about in terms of what you set out to achieve and accomplish in your coaching journey? Are you ahead of where you thought you would be, if you like? >> Oh, I just live in the moment to be honest. Um maybe if you would ask me five years ago or six, seven years ago, I would think different. But now I'm just happy to to be here. I appreciate to be part um of this club of the Premier League. Um, I I I love to to to have and face this experience and I'm yeah, I have a lot of energy to to prove myself and um to do it together with with my team and and with the club. But uh and we want to be successful. That's uh for sure. That's why we said, okay, let's see uh how far we get in in in the cup competitions. And we showed that we um are are competitive. So we are here to win to to improve to get better. Um but um for me it's not about um yeah thinking about what to achieve. It's always about winning games. That's the most important for me and about the the the relations um in the club and around the club. >> And just finally we just interviewed Antonio Silva, still only 22, but like really impressive, very sensible, very mature. What have been your early impressions of him as both a person and as a player? >> I'm really impressed and uh I'm I'm happy about this signing because as you said the way he adapt the Premier League, how quick he adapt the Premier League is um is really impressive. So you felt uh in Manchester against Erling Harland together with um Goodilly that he played already for I don't know two or three seasons in in the league uh he he how he wins the dwells how he's in areas um how he played in possession much more important because after losing Marcos uh it was an important part of the game for us. And he's not a left footed center back, but he's doing very well and we are really happy to to have him. And as you said, even his personality uh the personality he shows on the pitch is um is quite good.
