Madden 27 Superstar TE Full Season!

This is 6'6 tight end Matt Meeks. From multiple national championships in college to a third round draft pick in the NFL, where the superstar tight end was selected by the Baltimore Ravens. And if you're a young tight end, this is a pretty awesome team to start your career with. Last episode, we got drafted and fought through the preeason to try to earn our starting spot. And in today's episode, I'm going to finish our entire first season. We start out in week one trying to become a starter in a tied game against the Colts. And I got to admit, the new superstar system this year is so much better than last year. In the past, you could not manually upgrade things like speed and acceleration, but now you can. So, I'm an 82 overall right now in the National Football League, but I'm so much better than that, if that makes sense. I've got 93 speed, 90 acceleration. So, already I'm kind of a monster for tight ends. I have no change of direction agility. I've got a little bit of jumping. For my core stats, I've got 90 catching and 90 catch in traffic, letting my run blocking be really pitiful. And there are now so many abilities in Superstar, like a crazy amount of abilities. This is everything I have activated right now. I've got five physical abilities, and all of these have tiers going from bronze to silver to gold. Three mental abilities. I have two really good specialties that are at gold tier right now. Called catch gives you improved catching when attempting to catch after calling for the ball. And I call for the ball like every play. So, call for dots also makes it so when you call for the ball, your quarterback throws a better ball. I said ball a lot in there. That got a little sus. And of course, for X Factor, I've got double me. No upgrades to make right now, but a lot of games to play. Let's get after it. Not where you wanted to start. That's what they're saying here. I don't agree with you. I kind of like close games. So, defense has improved coverage, and my objectives are winning run blocks, which I I hate that. I ain't doing that I'm catching a pass for a first down. I'll lose the experience. I don't care. All right, second and four. This is my first NFL snap. My first NFL snap was a perfect route. Not even mad about that. I mean, technically, yes, I have snaps in the preseason, but this is my first true NFL game snap. And now I'm going to be MM blocker for Derrick Henry, and it pays off cuz he gets a ton of yards. Dude, I can't believe I'm on the Ravens. This is so awesome. Last year I was on the Bengals. It was horrible. When I started up at tight end for the first time, I was on the Browns. That was in my Madden 27 review video. I just thought I was going to be fried and I was going to be open right there. Oh, good. As it stands, Mark Andrews is still the starter though. I've not earned my starting spot in Baltimore. And I get it. Mark Andrews been their tight end for a long time, but I was the greatest college tight end ever. Also, I got the K. If you guys are wondering about the cleats, these are Kyler Murray cleat. I don't know. They look sick with these Ravens jerseys, though. Honestly, it's one of my favorite color combos ever, and I'm going for a contested one. And right there underneath my player icon, you saw that gold light up. That was the call for it. Wasn't a particularly good route, nor was I really open, but just because like calling for the ball gives you such a big boost. It feels worth it. Green. Ooh, sauce gardener. Sauce gardener on the Colts. Played some real good defense on that. Probably shouldn't have called for that one. Got a little greedy. Going to go with the wheel route. Oh, who's on me? Third and 10. We're getting nothing right now. Now, with my film study ability, I can see what the linebackers are doing on these plays. We know it's a zone. I might just run underneath. Oh, do it. That's a beautiful route, dude. I love seeing the zones. Gives you such an incredible opportunity to see what's going on. Now, I will say Madden Superstar defensively is so much better because you can get abilities where you can see what play they're going to run. I really wish college had that. Like when you're playing free safety or middle linebacker or corner, sometimes it's really boring cuz nothing happens. But when you can see, oh, dot almost. When you can see what play the offense is going to run, it's so much more fun. It's kind of like cheating. But like if you know they're running an inside zone and you can shoot that gap like a freak and just blow it up, I think that's so much fun. I've always enjoyed that about Madden Superstar and kind of frustrated Kyler's never had it. It makes college defense a lot more boring. But it's second and 10 here. We're tossing a block. Baitman goes down. I've got sauce gardener on me. Is this man coverage? I feel like I want to go up for one. Oh, just give me the dig money. That's Damn it. I was breaking some tackles, too. Great improv running, they say. Wear and tear is active, though. 14 to 14 trying to get in the end zone here. Keeping that drive alive right there was huge. That was third and nine right there. And just give me something simple. Oh. Oh, I'm in. Oh, shook off a tackler, ran over the safety. It wasn't pretty, but it's my first ever NFL touchdown. My first true NFL touchdown, but damn, the Colts instantly tie it up. It's 21 to 21. By the way, look at those college stats. That's a third round tight end somehow. Criminal. Genuinely criminal. First and 10, 211. Let's see what we got here. That was really ugly, but it ended up working hilariously. With the crazy amount of abilities that are now in Madden Superstar, you're going to be so much better than you've ever been, if that makes sense. Like genuinely, if I played this for five seasons, I would be so disgustingly OP as I miss a wideopen catch right there. Okay, that's not doing me any justice, but that's okay. We're moving the ball really well right now. Second and 10. Just keep taking the easy ones. I got to keep these drives alive. Beautiful. I am hoping to get man coverage eventually. Take something deep. I'll take this. Oo. Oh, good block, Mark Andrews. Oh my god. Mark Andrews just sat. Sauce Gardner on his ass. Where's that Charvarius Ward? They've got some good corners in Indie. Charvarious Ward is seven, I'm pretty sure. And Sauce is number one. There's Marky Mark. A minute 29. We're in such a good spot right here. I'm just going to be MM blocker. First and goal. This ball's going to Rashad Baitman. Dererick Henry's going to block, too. Should I go out and get on Sauce here? Oh, I totally missed my block. Now, unlike college, you cannot watch what your offense does. So, I'm just putting this up to the gods. And we got to see. I assume we go Tyler Loop field goal here with no time left. And then Indie just can't score. 24 to 21. [laughter] Yes, sir. Hey, Danny Dimes. Can't believe it. Oh my god. He looks like he's going to commit a crime. Eight receptions, 99 yards, and a touchdown in my NFL debut. That's pretty badass. That is a lot of quests done. I got a lot of XP from that. We are earning so many skill points. Like, it's kind of crazy. We already got six more in core, seven more in physical, two more in mental. For core, I have unlocked sticky fingers silver tier, so I'm definitely going to go with that first. Same thing with iron grip silver tier. This is holding on to passes and breaking tackles. Sticky fingers is literally just catching anything. So, I love a good blanket ability where you don't got to think very hard about it. And then with two left, I wouldn't mind 81 break tackle. I guess I'll take run blocking. I can't believe I'm upgrading my run blocking, but whatever. For physicals, my speed is as fast as it can be without a cat breaker. Going to need a cat breaker to go up to 99. Stamina is shockingly important. I'm going to take my stamina up to 90. I want to be able once I'm a starter to play full games at max. Our week two game is another moment. I'm still not the starter and we're basically just on the Saints, which is kind of a nice moment. So, I just get to come in and do his best I can with pretty much no risk. I think this would be a great game to like chuck some serious downfield passes, try out some green catches, see how crazy we can get with it, cuz what do I have to lose here? Like, just give me this Lamar. Ah, he does not hang on to that ball for a while. Huh? I was about to say, do I get a route here? Ooh, turning up field. Good work. Good work. Now, there's an essential thing we got to do in Superstar, and that's make the playoffs. It's actually something I really struggled to do in previous years of Superstar because when you're on a bad team, it just felt like there's nothing you could do. But I tell you what, this is the easiest I have ever had it in a Superstar because the Ravens are so good. Like, if you just boot up a franchise sim, nine times out of 10, the Ravens are going to the playoffs cuz they're a really good team. And I'm like benefiting from that right now. And it's so awesome. And damn, I was in a pit right there. Oh, we're moving the ball. Has a tight end Oh. Oh, Lamar, give me a deep one. Hey, no, I greed that, coach. I agreed that. That should be a catch. Has an NFL tight end ever won MVP in league history. Someone will have to do the math on that for me, but I got to imagine the answer's no. And even if it isn't, I'm doing it. The only problem with being, you know, a tight end or a wide receiver is if you're in line to win MVP. Oo, great blocking. If you're in line to win MVP, it means that your quarterback is probably also in line to win MVP. And Lamar is digging a hole for the Cowboys after a crazy run on top of my amazing blocking. So, yeah, I got to imagine if we keep having an awesome season like this, it's going to be me versus Lamar Jackson for the league's MVP. I'm hoping that, you know, Lamar's already got an MVP. The fact that you can upgrade your physicals makes this 100 times better. And I I can't stress that enough. Like last year, my speed right now would be 78 or 80. But like, it does make sense that a young rookie tight end out of Ohio State could be really fast. And Caleb DS in this game has 88 speed. I am literally that much faster than Caleb DS right now. That's why he couldn't catch me. And um last year that's not a touchdown. This year it is. I am glazing. I am genuinely glazing. I think Superstar uh is so much better because of these new abilities and the new way that you upgrade your player. Now I'm still pissed that you can't run no huddle. I'll never stop on EA for that, guys. Like please. No huddle is so basic. Ooh. Make a good move. Ooh. Make a good move. Time out. 15 seconds. Honestly, they just made your superstar a lot more OP this year. That's what I'm noticing. Anyway, I can't believe Lamar had time to get that off to me. He must have been scrambling like a madman. I got clobbered, too. But yeah, you're honestly just more OP this year. Oh, fun. We got a little block delay route. So, I'm going to block for a hot sack. That's like the If that's your route and you're the tight end, that is literally the last thing that you can get caught doing. Straight up. Should be a nice little window, but I goofed it. Darn it. That's insane. That is a gamewinner, no time left. Presumably, unless Tennessee pulls up a miracle. No, that's a game winner, no time left. Dude, those plays are nuts. Yeah, you like that Cody Barton, you I've got a new rival. His name's Cody Barton. That's crazy. I'm almost a team captain, boys. I'm 100x away from being a team captain. 12 receptions, 210 yards, three touchdowns. We are balling. They came in the locker room to glaze me. They're lucky I wasn't changing. Then they'd really be glazing me. I'm going to stay humble. I'm going to go with a safe response. Some more big upgrades inbound. I'm going to take my break tackle and trucking up to 87 each. And I'm going to take catching and catching traffic to 96 and 93, respectively. I got 15 in physicals. That's crazy. Okay, we're going to max out stamina. It should help out with the wear and tear. Wear and tear has still been brutal. Wear and tear's been whooping my ass. Durability, toughness, and strength probably both matter. So, let's bring these puppies as far as we can go. I'm up to an 87 overall already. Oh my god. Okay, let's keep going here. So, film study. If I spend six here, I'll be able to see the art of linebackers and corners on third and fourth down, which I do kind of like. Persistent is so nasty, though. I'm going to go persistent silver and locked in silver. I'm going to develop these. So, now I'm harder to knock out of the zone in the second half, and I'm easier [music] to enter the zone in the second half. The final tier of this is just for the entire game. So, it's basically like getting double me unlocked for the whole game very easily. That's the whole point. And then hard to knock out of it. Not quite there yet. Need a few more mentals. So with specialties, we're going to get more of these, too. I kind of want to be more of a menace in the open field. I'm catching the ball pretty easily. I just want to break tackles. Let's go with tackle breaker. So shake hit off and then snip out of it. So pretty much every relatively weak tackle we're going to break. So modern improved chance to break dives, cuts, strip, and hit sticks. I mean, it's basically everything, right? The final tier of this gives extreme fatigue penalties, which is actually really good because if you get extreme backlash fatigue penalties on defenders over the course of a game, you will literally just run right around them. It'll be the third quarter and you'll be staring right at a free safety linebacker. No skill mode needed. You just run around them because they're so fatigued. That's how good Backlash has been. Hopefully, it's that good this year, too. There's so many good specialties, though. Like, look at this. Route artist receivers ability can build their routes before the snap. Like any route. Highlight reel request one-handed catch animations. What does that even mean? How do you request it? I don't know. I'm excited to try for that one cuz I want to figure out what the hell it is. Call for lofts. We're very close to and I I should get that soon. The strength of the pass when calling for the ball. I mean, I've been asking for a loft. So, presumably I'm going to need call for lofts. I'm one skill point away from that. So, we're very close. Message from Audrey. Who the hell is Audrey? What does she want with me? Hey, stranger.
