Video summary

Konami is currently generating significant excitement with the upcoming Yu-Gi-Oh! Original Artwork Collection set, which promises to be one of their most impressive releases in recent years. This special OCG set features a unique blend of high-quality full-art cards and manga-themed illustrations that showcase some of the craziest artwork ever seen for the franchise. The collection includes legendary monsters like Barrel Dragon, now reimagined as "Revolver Dragon," which boasts powerful effects allowing it to be summoned without tributing or searching other Dark Machine monsters from the deck. Alongside these new mechanics, fans can expect stunning visual upgrades that bring classic designs to life with vibrant colors and dynamic poses, such as Relinquished displaying its previously unseen wings in a terrifying full-art layout. The set also introduces several iconic cards with enhanced abilities and nostalgic artwork styles that appeal deeply to long-time collectors. Notable additions include the Ritual Summoned "Reliquish," which can negate an opponent's effect monster while gaining extra attack points, and the formidable "Inazuma" warrior capable of special summoning itself by tributing three monsters while preventing the opponent from activating cards during the process. Furthermore, the collection features a mix of monochrome manga-style versions for popular spells like Mirror Force and traditional full-art interpretations for staples such as Blue-Eyes White Dragon and Lava Golem. The inclusion of these varied art styles allows players to choose between the gritty black-and-white aesthetic reminiscent of early anime episodes or the polished color versions, with many expressing a strong preference for the dramatic monochrome designs that lack excessive text clutter. Beyond the new full arts and manga cards, this release serves as a comprehensive reprint set featuring numerous beloved archetypes and older monsters from both TCG and OCG history. The box includes reprints of rare items like Full Metal Dragon Heart, Millennium Shield, and various anime-style creatures such as Gazelle and Cyber Harpy Lady, effectively bridging the gap between modern gameplay and classic nostalgia. While some cards retain their original artwork with minor tweaks to better suit current standards—like adjusting Lava Golem's spear technique or updating Marshmallow's background—the overall quality of the illustrations is praised for being pristine and free from common printing defects like foil bleeds. With a release date approaching in late September, this set represents a major turning point for Konami after challenging years, offering an opportunity for both competitive players to acquire powerful new tools and collectors to complete their galleries with visually stunning pieces that celebrate the rich history of Yu-Gi-Oh!.

Konami is on fire with new releases. The Yu-Gi-Oh artwork collection might be the best set we've ever seen. >> What's up, guys? I finally get to cover some of these new announcements. I've been so busy recently. I haven't been able to do any rucks and lives on a lot of these cool announcements that have come out recently. And one of the sets coming out in the OCG that we will likely get as a special set later is called the Yu-Gi-Oh Artwork Collection. This set contains some of the craziest looking Yu-Gi-Oh cards I've ever seen. So, go ahead and like the video and subscribe if you want to support the channel. I will be doing more news like this. If you would like to keep up with what's coming out in the future, let me know down below and I'll continue to do it. So, let's go through some of the announcements for this set. So, Yu-Gi-Oh organization has posted a bunch of things. This is from August 11th, so we are a couple days late to it, but I do want to cover it for you guys who missed it because I didn't even realize this happened until yesterday, so I was a day behind to begin with. It's a blast from the past with manga themed cards. So, we've seen the m manga is probably what I should say. Manga cards have been announced already, but there's some new ones in here as well. But included in the original artwork collection are some new full arts. And as you can see, if we just take a look here, we have a new barrel dragon card, which is going to have, you know, a new effect and everything that we're going to look at. But let's just admire the artwork of this card really quickly. Absolutely insane. It's got the triple barrels coming right at you. It's got the awesome, you know, jaw about to bite you. I don't even know how it like eats with this big point right there. You know what there? It's going to be hard to like actually bite you cuz that's just going to bump in the way. But it's cool looking. I'll give him that. Same original stats. Um, this is going to look so beautiful in a full art starlight. I cannot wait to see that. Okay, we'll run through the effects really quickly. As you know, I am an expert in all things modern Yu-Gi-Oh, so I will give you my opinions. This is called Kikarayu the revolver dra revolver dragon or barrel dragon the machine dragon. So theirs sounds a lot cooler than barrel dragon the machine dragon. I kind of wish they would just give us this name. I mean I know we want the classic barrel dragon but this is a cool name and this one is barrel dragon the machine dragon. Thank you. Now I'm sure the translation might me be redundant here as well but because I don't speak Japanese it just sounds cooler to have this name. You know what I mean? Okay, so it's a level seven dark machine. You can use this card's name two and three effects once per turn. The first you can always use if you control no monsters. You can normal summon this card without tributing. So, it does count as a normal summon, but it's a free summon. During your main phase, add one Dark Machine monster from your deck to your hand except Barrel Dragon, the Machine Dragon. That's an incredible effect you get to search uh once per turn. If you decide to do that over and over, you can do it during the battle phase. This card is in your grave because it was sent there from the field this turn. Quick effect, special summon. If you do toss coin three times, then you can destroy monster on your field. Wow. So, you get to search, search, search. If you ever send it to your graveyard, the next turn if you haven't or if you haven't used the dark machine search, you can then reummon it and then use the coin flip effect. Very sounds very powerful because a lot of times you're just summoning this, linking it off, uh, you know, exceinging it, whatever. I guess exceeds, you'd have to then detach it. So, it's a little bit harder there. But, there's some cool things you could do there. Next up is one that people were absolutely going nuts for. And as you guys know, I love Relinquished. I've played it a lot in goat format and I'm not going to lie, this is one of the craziest looking cards I've ever seen. And I just said that about Barrel Dragon. So that's two in a row that are way up there that are absolutely insane. This eyeball is perfect old school Yu-Gi-Oh. Creepy, weird. The way he's like turning like this and like looking at you with the eyeball. Got this the the claws ready to attack. There's one like back here that's about to just slash somebody. This is one of the best looking cards. And then the full art is in full effect with the claw, with the wings going out. You don't even really realize Relinquished has wings on the original card. When you look at this, you're like, "Whoa, that thing's got some big old wings that it's going to attack me with. This is insane. As a huge Relinquish fan, I'm so excited for this card. It's amazing. It's awesome." Konami is absolutely crushing with the old school retrains and with the new full art cards. Ginso no Jagan Yagan sacrifice. I don't know what that means, but it sounds really cool. Relinquish the wicked eye of illusion. Now that's a cool name. That's a cool name. You can ritual summon this card with relinquish the wicked eye of ill wait with relinquish the wicked eye of illusion. Okay, so you summon it with itself. Okay, you can only use this card's name one and three effects once per turn. Tribute two monster special summon this card from your hand. This is treated as ritual summon. So you don't even need the ritual spell, which is always the problem with rituals. You can just tribute special summon it essentially. You can do that once per turn. So you can't do like three of these. Your opponent takes any damage you would have taken from battles involving this card. So that always is an effect during your main phase. Quick effect. Target one effect monster your opponent controls. Negates effects. If you do equip it to this card as an equip spell that gives 2,000 attack. So you get to negate an opponent's effect monster. So if they're playing vanillaas, I mean in 2026 you're cooked. But other than that, you take it, you equip it, you would have 2,000 more attack. You steal any effect monster, which is pretty powerful. I like that. It's easy to summon and it's easy to get two cards on the field these days. And it's not even a normal summon like the barrel dragon was. It's a special summon. I am looking massively forward to that card. Okay, we're not even to the manga cards yet. Then we have uh Inazuma Noi Gil for the Lightning. Guilford Lightning the Warrior of Thunderbolts. I mean, just check that out. They get better. They just get better. Look at that. He's got an electric slash. It almost looks like a wave of electricity here with his sword and he's in a mid pose. The electricity is going throughout the card. They have they peaked. Have Yu-Gi-Oh cards peaked? I think they might have. This card was unplayable, the original one. Let's see if they made it playable. You can only use the effect of this card. This card name three effect once per turn. It It's Man, reading Yu-Gi-Oh cards these days, you really got to have reading comprehension. You can special summon this card from your hand by tributing three monsters. Special summon, which is good. Three monsters is a lot. Your opponent cannot activate cards or effects when summoning this way by tributing a monster they own. Your opponent cannot activate cards or effects when summoning this way by tributing a monster they own. Is this saying you can tribute your opponent's monsters like a kaiju? Is that what that's saying? Cuz if that is, that this is insane. Cuz then you could tribute. It just says tribute three monsters. Does that mean you can contribute two of theirs, one of yours? Cuz that makes this card like really good because then you could tribute three of their monsters or you can tribute two of their monsters, one of yours, one of their monsters, two of yours, three of your monsters, whatever you want to do to get it on the field. So you could use as a Kaiju, you use it to summon your own. That's actually insane if that's what that's saying. Now, you do have to have three monsters on the field, but these days, I mean, there's always a lot of monsters. You put out a couple yourself, you know, then special summon it. If this card is special summoned by one effect, your opponent sends all monsters they control at the graveyard. So that doesn't seem like that's the case because then you could tribute theirs and send cards. I someone explained effect one to me. I'm not 100% sure there, but that's still really good. Sending all monsters to the graveyard. Really good. Now, the third one's the only one you can use once per Wait, the other ones are not once per turn. Okay, this card is sent to the graveyard. You can activate this effect during the end phase's turn. Add one warrior monster to your hand. So, the adding the warrior is a once per turn. You can't add like seven warriors at the end of the turn. Uh, which I don't know how you'd summon this seven times, but maybe you could. People are crazy in modern Yu-Gi-Oh. You never know. All right. Then we have Batsu game. Greed Yakubo No Ginso penalty game. Greed the illusion of avarice. Okay, this is not a full art. So, I don't know if we're going to go through all the Well, I won't go through the effects of all these, but these are just some other cards that are in the set. I'm sure some of these are absolutely crazy. I want to cover the full arts. Then, let's go into the manga style cards. This is what I actually made this video for and then realized how cool the full arts were. The manga style cards, I mean, that this right here is why I made the video. This artwork is insane. Various legendary mantra spell traps confirmed. These are cards from the original artwork collection, a set themed after the original manga. though. Same set is crazy here. Original artwork collection. Original artwork collection. Manga cards and full arts in the same set. Treated as being the exact same as their normal printed version. So, these are the normal version, but you get the monochrome version like we saw in I think it's like a starter deck they're releasing. They're releasing those uh manga cards with like the blue eyes and dark magician and stuff. So, we're getting a what even is this card? 2600 1900. What is that? Like Zoa or something? Is this a Zoa? Yeah, Zoa. Okay, I'm just I'm quizzing myself. I'm one for one. So, I actually really like the monochrome version. Some people were hating on the uh this style of card. I'm actually a huge fan. I think these look good as well, but I think just the all white is really cool. I think it looks nice. Okay, next up we have Oh. Oh, what could this be? Jenzo. Unfortunately, Jenzo gets the same artwork. So, it's still really cool, but if this was like a different pose or something like a different action shot, I think that could be even cooler. But, everybody loves Jenzo, so this is a really cool looking one. As as I said, I just like the all the white one. A lot of people like these as well. So, very cool. The Buster Blader. This is the card that I am ultimately most excited for. And I actually do like I say that we got we got to we got to zoom in on these a little bit. I don't know which one I like more. The color version is insane, but the black and white version with the lightning is actually insane as well. I don't know which I want more. These are both absolutely incredible cards. Wow, they look good. And and I assume they're not going to have Oh, they're just going to have like a dark border. They're going to be like black and white all the way on these with the red Yu-Gi-Oh. These look so amazing. I don't even I have I'm almost at a loss for words. And I know people some people don't like these and that is good. That is good. That means they'll be cheaper and I can afford to get more of them. I got to get like a play set of both of these. The this original artwork collection is going to be one of the craziest sets. I don't know if there are grand masters in this. I kind of hope there aren't just so it's a little bit easier to get, but at the same time, I kind of hope there are because then the set's going to be like mind-blowingly good. You can get grand masters, you can get full arts, you could get manga cards all in the same set. I don't even know. I don't even know. That's insane. So, I am so excited. This card, I can't even look at it enough. It's amaz jam. The original artwork. I've always loved Revival Jam. I think keeping the original actually really works here. Like really works. Like look at that. I think the color one works better cuz I've always liked the blue on Revival Jam and Labyrinth the Nightmare. I think this looks amazing with the red in the background. This looks super good. I'm a huge fan of that. Then there's Legendary Fisherman. So it's weird how some of them So this does have the OG artwork. It has the spear, not the ball on the spear because in America we got he was spear fishing with a ball. He's just going to blunt force trauma the fish to death. Uh but this has the OG where he's stabbing the fish. And they both look really sick. They look really sick. Same old artwork, but it looks really, really good. Then there is Lava Go. Oh my gosh, Lava Golem looks insane in this. Lava Golem looks insane. Wow. 700. Wait, did you only pay 700? Is that what that's saying? Not 1,000. It's a It's 700. Or it burns for 700. Yeah, you don't have to pay anything. I guess it only burns for 700. I think I like this one the best. That looks absolutely insane. What a great looking card. [gasps] Marshmall. I have not seen most of these. So basic. I love basic cards. They bring me back to OG Yu-Gi-Oh, OG Pokemon where it's just like, oh, look, a little marshmallow. You know, like a little fluffy marshmallow sitting there and then you attack it and you get burned for a thousand. You can't destroy it. You're like, "Oh, this marshmallow sucks. I hate this marshmallow so much." And the color on this, it's like he's trapped in like the a pyramid and like imagine they're wandering around in the pyramid and they're like, "Oh, watch out for the scary monsters." And they uncover a little marshmallow guy and they're like, "Oh, look how cute he is." You know, he attacks like a horror movie. Incred. I need these. I need all of these. There's not one I haven't liked yet. I think just like some of the ones with the OG artwork are not as good, but I still really want them. Swords are feeling like this is the uh Bandai artwork. So, this is super cool cuz the Bandai card for this is absolutely amazing. I You definitely need some color for the swords, I think, to look a little better. I kind of wish this was more green, honestly. I just like the green. I know the OG was more yellow, but I think the green looks really good with it. It's usually a spell, but they both look good. They're awesome. They're awesome. Uh oh. Harvey's feather duster. Is that what this is? Oh my gosh. Wow. I'm saying OG artwork as in TCG artwork, by the way, because I know a lot of these were in the OCG and probably all of them because they're called original artwork, but I've never seen this one. This is incredible. This is incredible. This is insane. I love this one. I love this one so much. Yeah, we never got this. So, that artwork is really awesome. And then, oh my god, I did see this one from Quick Panic. And some of these are absolutely per. Look at this cute little scapegoat. And then you throw in the color with them. Oh my gosh. I'm almost at a loss for words for how good this set's going to be. I can't even believe how good this set's going to be. Wow. Shout out Yugi Market, by the way, because they're going to have some. And use my code 5% off. This is going to be such a good set. I've got to get my hands on this. This is incredible. This set is so good. And when it comes out in English, I'm guessing it'll be 2027. It's going to be some, you know, ear first half of the year set that is going to explode just like these last two sets we've got. Oh my gosh, this is really, really good. Really, really good. Oh, the polymerization. the polymer. The You got to have this one. You got to have this one. Look at this. [laughter] These artworks are so good. And then, oh my I I can't I can't imagine hating on the manga cards. If you're sitting there hating on the manga cards in the chat right now, I can't imagine being you. I just can't. Look how good this is. I am all in. And I love that there's no text on it. Like, it's just cool. It's just cool. It's just the art. 100% appreciating the art. I mean, there is text at the top on some of them, but like that's that's incredible. Fiend sanctuary. Cool. Scary. Oh, that's ominous. That dark that light and dark green right there is ominous. Wow. These How many are there? They just keep going. We get a mirror force. Oh my gosh, this one. The color style of this. This is insane. This is insane. This is insane. This is insane. I can't even say it enough. I don't This is insane. These are two I love mirror fors. These are two of the best looking mirror forces I've ever seen. How many of these are in here? Is there going to be like one every pack at this rate? There's so many magic cylinder. Literally Yugi's ace card against Ash Ketchum. Literally the way he defeated him in death battle. One of my favorite cards in the old days as well because I was all about trap cards. I was You attack yourself, buddy. Attack. That's insane. And I love this. Oh my gosh. This whole video is just me like reacting and being like, "These are insane." Insane. What else can I say? The colors, they killed the colors on most of these. Almost all of them are just like blowing me away with how nice the colors are. These are the most like collectible looking cards ever. I have to have all of these. Oh no. I really don't want to complete a full set again, but this is one that's really calling my name. This is like, please complete the full set, dude. You need all of them. Oh, is this a Exchange of the Spirit, a Shizu special? Okay. Okay. This is not like one of my favorite cards ever like all these other ones have been. But this looks infinitely better than the original than the the trap card version where it's just I mean it is cool looking, but compared to these, I think the color really brings out some of them. I like the the full like white and black better and some I like the color better which I think is good. They like not all of them are like ah I don't want that version I want this version. They there is a mix and match to it. Is that all? Okay, that's all of them. Wow, that was a lot. Okay, 1 2 3 4 5 6 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 manga cards. How many full arts were there? Three. Are there only three or more? Three and 15 is pretty good. Then we have some other reprints that I want to run through really quickly. The BLS that was the uh the big wasn't it was it metal or not? I can't remember. But you'd mail in and you could potentially win it and it was like a $1,000 card that's getting reprinted in here. So we're seeing that again. Shocker. I I can't believe that's getting reprinted. Uh we're going to see uh the Full Metal Dragon. We're going to see the Heart of Blow. Okay. So just some some nice uh reprints for some cool cards that came out in the last couple years. Metal Flame Swordsman, the Golden Guards. Yeah, these are all part of the same archetype. This and this and this. You know, they need all those together. Use the Millennium Enk, the Millennium Shield. Yeah. So, we're going to see Shield of the Millennium Dynasty again. Shout out Millennium Shield. What an awesome time. Uh, good to see you again. Gazelle, the king of mythical behagetic warrior. That's actually an old card. I guess it's just supporting some of the new cards. Metal illusionist. I actually loved this card when it first came out. It's actually a few years old. Uh, Unstoppable Exodian Incarnate with the Millennium Enk. Is Enk not in here? Maybe it's later. Uh, Cyber Harpy Lady. Uh, the That is That's a pretty old card. That was a dual link card. There's Millennium Enk. There's Chimera Fusion. Spell card. Monster Reborn. I like how it says spell card. I wish they'd just do Monster Card. Blue Eyes White Dragon. Uh, Wu Temple. That's also in there. I played that deck a little bit. I actually made a video on that deck when it came out. Um, which is pretty fun. Exod Fires of Rage Maxomorph. So, a lot of the anime style stuff is being reprinted in here. This is just going to be an anime banger. This is going to be an anime banger. Let's just go back to my absolute favorite of all of them. And let's just look at this guy, the Buster Blader. Absolutely incredible. Insane. This set, by the way, releases September like 26th or something like that in the OCG. So, it's like in a month and two weeks. It's right around the corner. By the time we hit Magnificent Monsters, have all that hype. as soon as it's not I don't know if that hype will die down like it's like two weeks after that this set comes out. So literal insanity in Yu-Gi-Oh coming up. Maybe it's 3 weeks after Yu-Gi-Oh is going to be at an absolute peak in terms of hype. I don't know if we're going to be like, you know, so crazy you won't be able to get your hands on anything or not because Walmart has been coming in clutch with some of those pre-orders. Same thing with I think Target had some. Best Buy. There's been some pre-orders at MSRP for Magnificent Monsters. I don't know how this set's going to going to be in the TCG, but I'm going to imagine it's going to be absolutely insane just like those, especially if they announce Grand Masters in there. I think Grand Masters really does make the difference for if the scalper slash casual, like I used to like Yu-Gi-Oh, but really I'm more a Pokemon guy. I'm grabbing some of these off the set or whatever. Like, that is mostly going to be on those grandmaster sets. Like, I really just want to have a chance to pull something crazy. Uh, I don't know if there are no grand masters in this set, if people will hop in it or not. But if grand masters go crazy enough, then people might just go all Yu-Gi-Oh sets are good and start grabbing into them. I really don't know how that's going to happen. But all I can say is this set's going to be absolutely amazing. It's going to be awesome. I'm super excited for it. Like, I didn't see one card that was a flop. They're either way better than any card I've ever seen, as good as some cards, like the best cards ever, or just like really great cards. Like, there's nothing bad in here. I am so excited for this set. I didn't think anything could be more exciting than Magnificent Monsters. I think I'm even more excited for this set. How is that possible? They already overhyped Magnificent Monsters. They beat that. And then Maestros comes out after this. Wow, guys. Yu-Gi-Oh is so bad. Konami, you're doing a great job with these new sets and hyping us up and having a lot of amazing things. Uh, next thing, work on the print quality. That'd be incredible. If we could get these looking pristine, our cards looking amazing, you know, not like completely destroyed right out of the pack, that would be great. Uh, foil bleeds, get rid of those. Like, I'm just putting in some extra requests so we can like keep killing it because Konami took 2025, one of the worst years of Yu-Gi-Oh probably ever, and then made 2026, one of the best years of Yu-Gi-Oh ever. So, they completely turned it around. And I cannot say enough how happy I am about that. So, if you guys enjoyed this video, you want to see more news updates, there was a lot to cover today, so I tried to make it, you know, fairly watchable uh and not too long. So, like the video, subscribe, of course. Check out my website, rxenom3.com, where we're consigning sealed and uh graded cards, uh sealed product and graded cards, and then I'm also selling other things as well. So, go check that out if you want to consign your stuff. You want to buy stuff that's been consigned, you can check that out there. And check out some other videos. I've started a new series, Duels Kingdom Conquest. We've got real anime tournament. We've got childhood Yu-Gi-Oh. Will anime tournament will be tomorrow, by the way, because of this video. We pushed it back. But there is an awesome episode coming up with our friend [music] Luke Von Karma. So, there's a lot of good stuff on the channel. Check it out and I'll see you guys next time. Shout out to Brandon Cheney, Adams, Be Training, King Tamaya, Junior Guard, >> and Arch Lord Christian first edition, >> Shangalang, and Cryptopy Mike for your support as ultimate members. [screaming] >> OH MY GOODNESS. THE BLUE EYES WHITE DRAGON. [screaming] OH, [screaming] >> and I'll see you guys next time. Peace.
