Welcome to Toffee TV. It is the Everton News Daily. The day before Everton face Wolves in the Carabal Cup, there's been no press conference sadly for the game. This is because in the first, I think three rounds, uh, managers don't have to do press conferences, uh, which I think suits David Moyes fine. If there isn't going to be a press conference, he ain't going to do one. It's as simple as that. um he uh he isn't letting he isn't going to let any secrets out the bag. So, it's hard to know who's available, who's not available. Uh but again, that's out David Moyes likes it. So, um we're all just going to have to turn up tomorrow for the match and see what's what um an hour and 15 minutes before the kickoff. Uh we'll have to wait and see. So, not much news on those players at the moment. Uh in international news, Braden Graeme has been called up for Northern Ireland. Obviously started on the bench for uh our games this season. Um great opportunity if he can get on. He didn't don't think he got on the last time he was called up for Northern Ireland sadly, but it'd be fantastic if he can get on the pitch. Um be a big boost for him. uh as as obviously taking t taking part in the under21's game being part of the Everton squad and it again be interesting whether he gets any kind of involvement against Wolves you know the manager might be looking to give players a chance off the bench I don't think I don't think he'll be starting the game but a chance to come off the bench could be there so we'll have to wait and see on that one uh Tom King and Brennan Johnson have been pulled up for Wales. Uh it's nice to see Evan have a player playing for Wales. Obviously Tom King's been in squads, but obviously he's he's not starting games, but it's nice to see Evan. Nevin have always had a really really good history of having Welsh players and that's sort of gone away in the last few years. So, and we we've we've historically had a lot of fans. I don't know if anyone's ever mentioned this, but we've historically had a lot of fans in North Wales, which might be starting to dry up with um because of Rexom, but h we've always had we've always had a lot of and we still do have a lot of fans from North Wales, so it's nice to see it's nice to see someone someone that'll be starting games for them. Um so hopefully and again, Brennan Johnson, what will his involvement be in the Caribell Cup tomorrow night? Uh, could he start the game up front? Maybe. Could that be a possibility? If the manager looks to shuffle the pack a little bit, could he start the game up front? Could do. Maybe. Tom King's obviously been on the bench of late for certainly at Spurs with Everton squad um being small in the first place, but having a couple of injuries. So, we'll have to wait and see. But yeah, it'd be good to see Brennan Johnson starting for Wales being an Everton player. Another player who's got a chance of playing international football is Merlin Ro. Now, of course, he was he is a player that we don't know whether his back fit. He obviously missed the game on Saturday against Tottenham with an injury that the manager has not spoken about. The manager did say though we picked up the injury against Manchester United. So we don't know what it is but there are reports in Germany that he has a good chance of a callup um said after Jen Klopp the now German coach said he was open to offering callups to those who are uh to to those who are expecting it. Uh so we'll wait we'll have to wait and see. We'll have to wait and see uh whether he does uh get a call. But this again was something that had played a part in Milan role possibly being up for playing. Right back was the idea that Germany were were not blessed with right backs. There was an opportunity if Milan could start playing there. Merlin obviously played for Germany under 21s and done quite well for Germany under 21s. has not made that step up yet. But if he is playing regular football in the Premier League, then I suppose Jurgen Klopp will have to have a look at him cuz obviously with the Premier League being the biggest league in the world and certainly the most physical league in the world, having that physicality is is exactly what is needed for international football. So it would be it would be a massive a massive step up for him. Evan don't have a fantastic history of having players play for Germany. Um, there aren't many I can I can think of off the top of my head that have represented Everton and Germany at the same time. Um, we obviously had Thomas Hellberger, but I'm not 100% sure whether he was getting called up for Germany while he played for Everton. Some of you will have to tell me in the comments whether he did or he didn't. Um, but we haven't had a rich edition of German players play for Everton. So the idea of of one representing uh Evan and playing for the Germany sides um yeah sounds very appealing and obviously we he'll have got that off the back of playing for Evan as well. So hopefully hopefully with his performances for Evan he ends up getting a call up to the German squad. And just a bit of travel news for the game against wolves. Um Evans supporters have been advised to allow additional time for their journey due to work emergency work on Great Howard Street. Um there is a closure between on Great Street between Paisley Street and Walter Street. The closure will remain in place for the Calabok fixture and expected to cause additional congestion on routes around the stadium and the city center. The situation will be reviewed later this week ahead of Evans home game against Ipsswitch um once a further update on the works has been received um Liverpool City Council and transfer partners will also provide information to local residents, businesses, commuters regarding the closure and anticipated congestion. And this is the issue, isn't it? This is the issue when it comes to travel situation because the travel is so poor. Um the the trains are so poor and it hasn't it hasn't been sorted out. When there's a problem on the roads, it up for anyone for everyone. Uh buses will be given priority um through boundary street and uh the railway arch corridor postmatch. The pre-match drop off location will now be re reloc relocated to the current postmatch location on great Howard seat at its junction with a light body street. Um there you go. Sports is using the shuttle service should allow some additional journey time due to the wider road closures. Yeah, this is the problem, isn't it, with the si the rail network. This shouldn't be a problem. Everyone should be able to get a train. Everyone should be able to get a train there and we wouldn't have any problems whatsoever. Uh just some further news on on the transport as well. The great city closure will affect access to supporters selson dock west key and blue badge parking within the 10 streets. Revised traffic arrangements will be in place including changes around boundary street with stewards traffic management teams and police support and vehicle movements when we're required. As a result, Boundary Street from Vauxhall Street down to Great Street will be made one way heading towards the stadium from four to eight visitors booked into Nelson Dock Car Park and advised to come down Boundary Street and turn left onto Greatard Street and then turn right onto Walter Street for West Key car park. Turn right on the bottom of the Boundary Street and then left onto Bound Street and Regent Road. My god, I feel like I'm doing the Safik and travel on on the news. There you go.
