Video summary

The release of FC27 Ultimate Team has already begun with a significant shift in how players are approaching the game, particularly following the launch of the web app which provided tradable welcome backpacks. Unlike previous years where players were left with limited funds and few options, this year's early access period allowed users to earn substantial coin bonuses by completing objectives and trading bronze cards, resulting in a much more active market environment. However, the launch was not without its hiccups; EA faced initial issues regarding Team of the Week items appearing as gold cards instead of the intended Informs, alongside an unintended SBC that offered excessive value before being quickly patched. Despite these early errors and the confusion surrounding dual versions of certain cards, such as holographic versus regular Team of the Week items, the overall experience has been positive, with daily login rewards providing a steady stream of consumable packs and SP to help new players get started. As the global rollout continues throughout the day, the market is expected to see a surge in activity driven by players logging in for the first time and utilizing their pre-order FC Points. Historical data from last year suggests that when players receive their initial rewards and begin spending coins on starter teams, prices for meta cards can skyrocket, though this year's market dynamics differ due to the increased supply of tradable packs already released via the web app. The host advises that while prices will likely rise as new coins flood the system, the magnitude of the increase may be more gradual than last year because there is already a higher volume of inventory available. Consequently, the current moment presents an excellent opportunity for strategic investment, where buying lower-rated meta players now could yield significant profits as demand increases once more players can afford to upgrade their squads over the coming days. When deciding whether to keep or sell newly packed players, the general rule is to hold onto higher-rated cards that are considered meta and popular among the community, while selling off lower-rated alternatives that are prone to being quickly replaced by better options from packs or SBCs. Specific examples include keeping players like Grahame, Bremer, and Donnaruma due to their high ratings and status as essential squad members, whereas lower-tier cards like Pedro Neto might see their prices drop significantly once superior alternatives become affordable for the average player. The host also notes that upcoming Marquee Matchups content could cause temporary dips in specific card prices, creating brief windows of opportunity to buy before values climb again, but overall the trend is expected to be upward as the game's economy stabilizes and players invest in better talent. To maximize earnings during these first few days, new players are strongly encouraged to focus on offline modes such as Live Events, Squad Battles, and Rivals rather than immediately diving into competitive online play. These modes offer generous coin rewards and pack incentives that can be earned with minimal time investment, helping to build a financial cushion for trading or upgrading the squad. Additionally, the host plans to experiment with opening silver packs using FC Points to test their quicksell value against gold packs, aiming to generate extra coins before the market fully inflates. By combining strategic holding of key meta players with active participation in rewarding game modes and careful monitoring of store pack releases, players can navigate the volatile early days of FC27 effectively and position themselves for long-term success in Ultimate Team.

Hey guys, it's Nate aka the foot accountant. Welcome back to the channel. Today we're answering one of the biggest questions that we all have as we start our FC27 Ultimate Team journey. As you're opening packs, you might be wondering, do I keep that player that I just packed? Because their price is expected to go up in value or do I sell that player because actually their price is expected to go the other way. Prices are a huge topic of discussion right now in FC27 and that's going to continue today because FC27 opens up worldwide today at midnight your local time New Zealand first then into Europe then into the Americas people will be logging into this game and that means coins are going to hit the market and some more players are going to hit the market as well. It is definitely going to make the market move alongside probably our first actual content drop of the day today with one specific SBC that is expected to come out. Of course, we've got a few more tips for you guys as well as you log into F27 for the very first time and maybe focusing on some specific gameplay modes to get the most out of your time as you start this game. Let's discuss everything today, guys. If you're excited for this one, drop a thumbs up on the video, hike the video, and subscribe if you are new. Now, let's start by talking about what happened yesterday with the release of the web app. Just before 6 p.m. content time, the web app servers opened up. And surprisingly, without much lag or disconnect issues at all, people were into the web app almost right away. And of course, opening those tradable welcome backpacks right away. That has completely changed how this year's web app is looking compared to previous years. We actually have some coins and that's what we knew was going to happen after seeing those tradeable welcome backpacks as we talked about from two days ago. But now that we're actually here and experiencing it, it is one of the better web app periods that we have had in such a long time. Because guys, you're not stuck on a thousand coins or 500 coins with nothing to do. You got some coins from those welcome back packs. If you packed somebody good, you maybe sold them or you just quicksold to get a few coins. And then of course you went into the objectives like we talked about going into the milestones, going to that transfer market milestone and just buying and selling bronze cards to get yourself these easy coin bonuses. You're already up to 10, 15, 20,000 coins minimum from doing that. Now, of course, with the coins that you have there, you're able to go and maybe do a couple of SBCs and maybe start trading on the market. Maybe one of the only bad things yesterday about the web app is that you couldn't change your club name inside of the web app and you couldn't complete some of these objectives like we thought that we were going to, but it was a very very nice experience yesterday on the web app. The objectives were locked for a few people, but for most they weren't. And it's created a entirely different situation on the market with all of those tradable packs that were dropped yesterday. Guys, the market prices around this game are very, very low. We're going to continue to talk about that. But just to kind of go over what happened yesterday with the web app, there was of course the release of team of the week number one. This is the first team of the week of the year. And it's really interesting and maybe slightly confusing to note that there are two versions of every single team of the week card. Let's take a look at 91 Lin where you see, oh, it's the regular Leal team of the week card. You've also got the holographic version with his signature on it that right now has not seen the market yet. As far as I'm concerned, I haven't seen a signed Luminium on the market yet. It's just confusing because you see two versions of the exact same card, but one is a lot more rare than the other. This one is rare right now. There's only one on the market, but this one I don't think I've seen on the market at all. And if you go take a look at even some of the lower rated informs like Alvo Carreras, this version of Carreras, his regular inform, is going to be cheaper and much more common than this holographic version. So, that's just one thing. If you see a holographic version with some more aura around the card, some more shine or maybe even a signature on the card, that's the exact same card, just a little bit more rare and a special, more special version of that item. So, that was one of the good things we saw yesterday was the first team of the week cards. And of course, we'll be wanting to invest in these, but there was a problem and EA's first mistake of the year that involves this first team of the week. EA said, "We are aware and investigating reports that some players are receiving gold player items instead of team of the week items from certain packs in FC7." And I hadn't heard too much about this, but I guess allegedly there were certain players in this team that were showing up as gold cards and packs instead of the informums. And EA made their first mistake of the year. The full game is not even released yet, guys, and they've already made their first mistake. Now, they said that this issue has been addressed and affected players will be messaged in game with the corrected content in the coming days. Now, the way that EA did compensation back in FC 26, didn't think we'd be talking about this already in FC27, but alas, here we are. The way they did compensation last year, they didn't like to give out extra packs that often or even give you the item of the car that you were supposed to have that often. They would just give you your fodder back if it was like an SBC that was giving out the wrong stuff. Well, they didn't really say what certain packs were giving out the wrong cards. And the way they word this, saying the corrected content is going to be coming your way. It almost sounds like if you packed gold Alvaro Carreras yesterday after 6 p.m. you're going to get the inform gifted to you, granted to you. Whether it was tradable or untradeable, I don't know. Probably depends on the pack that you were opening. But we're going to be watching very closely for that compensation because that might actually change the market a bit around these team of the week cards and how we look to invest in them. But that was EA's first mistake yesterday. And oh guys, they weren't done. We had a second one. And this one we could actually benefit from until they fixed it yesterday on the web app. I didn't know this until you guys in the chat mentioned and I went and tried one of the SBC's. Our regular gold upgrade pack that we get every single year that just requires 11 golds was giving not a two-player pack, but instead a small gold players pack, which gave out six players. I opened one of them. I got like an 83 and a couple of 82 rated cards. It wasn't anything super crazy, but turning in 11 golds to get six back. It was actually a pretty good value gold upgrade compared to what these usually are. And of course, EA has fixed it now because that pack was too good. And they've returned it back to a 78x2 gold upgrade. And right away when I saw this tweet, I was like, "No." Cuz I thought EA was actually releasing that SBC and they're like, "Hey, this is going to be what the actual gold upgrade is this year." Sounds like that's not what it was meant to be and that's not what it is going to be. It was intended to be the 78 by two that is out right now and they have fixed it to be that. So that's a bit disappointing after that upgrade pack yesterday was like surprisingly good and we were kind of excited to rip those at any time you had some extra gold cards in your club. Now the last thing to mention from yesterday's content would be the fact that we're getting daily login rewards. There's no objective that you have to like uh do or anything that you have to get done to obtain these. It just says that you have to log into the game and we all got a 75x2 untradeable and a small silver players pack for the first daily login. There's going to be a consumable pack and a five match loan. Day three is a,000 SP. This was the actual message that showed up in game and you guys will see this as well when you log into the game today. 1,000 SP on day three is sick. Four days as an untradeable, 78 player pick, a one of two, and then another 500 coin boost for the next five matches at the very end. 1,000 SP though, that is actually very nice. Again, they all they say all you have to do is log in for 5 days to progress through your daily login rewards and I'm guessing that is during the early access time period here. So, that is a nice touch actually from EA. GG's for releasing that one as a part of content yesterday. Now, back to the market. Once you did all the SBC's and objectives yesterday for the web app, you're probably feeling like, unless you really like to trade. Okay, Nate, what do I do next? Well, that is where today changes everything with the market and with the way that we all interact with this game, right? Once you log onto the game, you can play the game, you can make a whole bunch of coins, you can build your squad, do SPCs, get objectives done, and the like. Now, today at 100 p.m. UK time, the world will start getting on this game, especially those who are on Xbox, who are in New Zealand. That rolling release will continue throughout the entire day until everybody is on. And of course, that means that you'll be logging in for the first time and maybe getting some pre-order content today, which I've just noticed like literally an hour ago when I sat down here at the setup, I saw I have 4,000 FC points. I had zero as you guys saw yesterday. So, we're supposed to get 2,000. I don't know if I got lucky somehow and I got 4,000. I definitely didn't pay any money cuz you guys know I haven't bought FC points since FIFA 18. We're RTG all the way. I don't know what happened here. I got double the FC point rewards like two years ago in F24. That was super random, but maybe I got like my first two installments. I don't know. I don't have an explanation for that. It is random and I don't know why they did that or how it happened. But I think as you guys log into the game today, you will be getting your first 2,000 FC point installment as that's what's expected, only 2,000 FC points right today. That should be a part of the login rewards when you get into the game today. Whether you're logging in on New Zealand time or whether you're logging in at a different time later in the day, that should be a part of the pre-order content that we get. Now, I went into the fine print, right, of EA's details of the Ultimate Edition pre-order, and they said that the international icon player item, that's the 85 plus icon pack that was involved with the pre-order rewards. Um, and all other Ultimate Edition content will be available from September 18th, unless otherwise noted. Now, last year, the icon packs didn't drop right away when you logged in for the very first time. They dropped on Friday at 6 p.m. content. So, these two things are kind of listed separately, and there's no specific time here that is mentioned um of when it's going to actually be released. I looked through all of these details, but I'm going to guess it's going to be the same as last year. So, right away, you'll get those 2,000 FC points. You'll get your like extra evolution slot and stuff like that, but then the icon pack and then maybe the Hall of Foot player pick would be on Friday. We will just have to see that question will be answered once we get on to the game today. But a part of that, of course, is the 2,000 FC points. And that means coins are going to hit the market. And guys, last year, I'm going to show you some graphs because holy freaking smokes, did the 2,000 FC points that came out last year. And just people getting onto the game really, really moved the market. I'm expecting the same thing to happen today. Last year, 83 rated Ugo ECTK was 6,000 coins. This very time before New Zealand and Xbox and everybody else started getting on the game. Throughout Thursday last year before early access Friday, Ekit TK went from 6,000 coins to 36K. The whole entire market exploded. Specifically the meta cards though, those starter team players, those middle tier players that people are starting to buy for their teams as they got coins as they logged onto the game, those players exploded. Now, last year was a very different market. Like I said, these cards didn't get packed a whole lot and nobody had coins to start off the game last year. I think that's why you saw some of the prices go crazy because once people were able to get into the game, they opened those 2,000 FC points that they had, they were starting to get coins from rewards. They were able to go out and buy those players and those players didn't have a lot of supply and they went up like crazy. This year, it's different. Everybody has opened two tradable packs already from opening the web app, Welcome backpacks, and that has brought a lot of supply to the market. And I think you're going to see prices that rise today. I really do. But I don't know if it's going to be as drastic as last year. But one thing that's different this year compared to last year is there are more coins that we can earn from gameplay, from objectives and from rewards, especially in these first couple of days. And that's bound to cause a little bit of inflation on the market as well. We're bound to see prices rise because of that, too. I think right now is a fantastic time to buy. We were talking about this in the stream yesterday. I've made some investments myself. It ended up being Liverpool players because of prices that I thought were good at the time. I picked up two Barcas at 10,000 coins. I just bought another one. He's extinct, right? Very low price range. I picked up a Soly for 10,000 coins as well. And I bought a little early on Grab Birch. He went as low as like 18 17,000 coins. I bought him at 23,000 coins. Those are just cards that I think people are going to be able to afford today in the next couple days that are going to really really really increase in value. And there is a lot of value around the prices on this game right now. As I look at some players, Jamal Musiel is 19,000 coins, right? Admi is an 82 rated card is 19,000 coins and he's probably going to go up. But there's one of those cards that I would like to sell sooner than the later and that would be the AMI card. I would much rather hold on to the Mousiala. But I mean, look through like Rodrigo is 13K. Last year Rodrigo was like 70,000 coins. Embumo was like 30k. He's 11. Florian Vertz. I know he got a downgrade from last year. He was like I think we were looking it up last year like either 100k or like 90k and he's 11,000 coins. Now I'm not saying that all those cards are going to go up to the exact same prices that they were last year. We know how the market worked last year. It peaked like right now today and tomorrow of last year and then it dropped a whole bunch. I don't think that's the way things are going to look this year because of how the market is completely different to what it was last year. I think prices are starting off low right now and with people getting coins from playing the game, prices are going to go up. So, I like investing, guys. As you get onto the game today, watch the market. It's going to be very interesting to see how these player prices move. I do expect them to go up. Will they go up a crazy amount all at the same time like last year? Probably not. It might be a slower bit of a rise because there's more supply on the market already. But I like investing in those higher rated meta cards because some people are going to get coins today and say, "Wait, I don't need to go buy Estava as my starter team player at rightwing because I can afford a better player." Maybe like Pedronetto who's still kind of low rated. Maybe like there's an 84 rated card in the prim as a right mid that they could buy for like 5 to 6K instead of paying 3K for a card that's going to get packed a ton in the next couple days and kind of get forgotten about in the first couple of days of this game. Let's be completely honest. So that's why I like investing in those cards and understanding all of this market movement and how we think things are going to go today. Helps us answer the question, do you keep or do you sell? Now based on what I just said, let's talk about the keep cards first. You kind of know what I'm going to say. I think you want to keep cards like the Grabin Birch, like the Bremer, like the Donnaruma, like the Kchawi. cards that are 8345 rated and above that are those meta players that you don't necessarily look at and think that's a starter squad player, right? You don't think that Nico Williams is going to be a guy that you're going to be able to afford day one. But 31,000 coins for one of the fastest leftwing left mid players in the game with a fivestar weak foot, that's a dude that a lot of people are not going to be too far away from being able to afford with all the coins that we can get after a day or two on this game. I think his price is g going gonna go up a bunch. That is a card that I would keep. As you're opening some of your packs today, your 2,000 FC points, I would absolutely keep some of those mid-tier meta cards that are right now kind of cheap that we expect to go up. Like that's why I have the Barcola, the Solo Sly, the Grain Birch in my team. There's so many cards that would put into this category. Just to name a few, Lauren James, Rya, Uber McConnell. I'm big on him. I know that we've got the Laqua card in the season past that is very good. I've actually used him for a few games and he's very solid. I think Ubakano is going to be a very good with jockey plus player in this game. Mariona is looking really good. You know, Bruno Fernandez, even Shumeni, Florian Veritz, as I mentioned, would be a good one to keep on to and hold. There's a lot of these cards, but I think you got to get the notion here. Higher rated is the key. They're getting packed less. They're bigger name players. They're more popular, and those are cards that people maybe are not able to afford right away, but they will be able to in a couple days. That's why I think you want to keep those. And guys, the way that this market kind of feels to me, we might be able to hold on to some of these cards for a week or two weeks, and that's almost unheard of in these past couple of years of FC where the market is just dropping time in and time out. I think that holding on to a few of these cards would actually be something that we can do if they're higher rated than if they're meta. So, I would keep those higher rated meta popular players as I do believe they'll continue to rise for at least a week or two. Now, cards that you want to sell. I'm looking at cards like this Pstra. I'm looking at cards like 80 rated Jed Spence and even 80 rated Aralo. Sure, those are good starter team players and they're going to go up today in price as well. They are because people are going to build starter teams today around these cards with the coins that they get, but I'm talking about in the next week or so, I'm good to hold a Grabin Birch. I'm good to hold a DKU. I'm not good to hold a Pstra or an Arjo because those cards are going to get passed up on so quick. Somebody's gonna buy a Ralph Ho for their starter team today. They're going to pay whatever he is like three 4,000 coins. Bro is going to end up being a thousand coins or maybe even less than that, like 750 within the next four to five days. That's the type of card that you want to sell because players like this are not always going to be this expensive. We know how this goes. There's going to be SBC players. There's going to be, you know, better cards that we pack from objective packs and untradeable rewards. There's even going to be some EVOs probably that we'll all be able to do in these first couple of weeks. And those lower tier players that are lower rated, those are the ones that you want to sell. Here's an example, right? Estvau 3,000 coins. He's not going to stay at 3,000 coins for very long. Pedro Netto, very good card. He's actually starting in my team. Great starter card option that a lot of people are going to buy. Even today, they're going to buy this card today, right? He's 5K, bro. Might go up to like 7 to 10,000 coins today. He really could. There could be some nice price rises. I'm not saying you sell right now. I'm saying you sell this weekend. But you know what's going to happen, right? This is Pedro Netto's card last year. He went to 8K last year and then what was he a week later? Three. Because you pass up a card like this from your team and you move on to the next item so much quicker than you would even imagine, right? So that's my summary for the market. You want to sell those lower rated cards that you pack. You want to keep the higher rated ones that people are going to be upgrading to in their teams. Now today the market is expected to rise again. How crazy is that rise? We'll just have to see. Might be stretched over the next couple of days, but there should be some drops, small drops in those rises as well. Here's my plan for my Soy, for my Barcoola. I am going to be tempted to sell them because their prices are going to be going up. But I'm going to try to hold them for as long as I can because the longer that we hold these cards, in my opinion, the more that they are going to go up again within this first two weeks time frame. The only thing that could cause a few dips on those cards today would be marquee matchups. And that would be our first SPC content that we would be expecting today that maybe would cause a card like Grain Birch. Let's say right now Grabin Birch is like 20,000 coins. Let's say he goes up to like 35K today. He comes back down to 30K. Boom. There's another window where you could get involved in Grabin Birch. And then you know what? 2 or 3 days later, he's up to 40 45,000 coins. I think that's a possible scenario for how the marquee matchups packs could impact things today. But that's going to be a, you know, harder on the market content release, more tradable packs. That's going to hurt a card like Pedronetto. His price is going to be affected a bit more than a card like Makano or David Rayo would be um because he's lower rated and he is more packable and he's more common to get in those marquee matchups packs. So market matchups is going to maybe cause a little bit of a dip in the market today. But overall, I do think prices should keep going as people log onto the game, get more coins and rewards. And of course, guys, this goes without saying, but the number one thing that could change prices at any time on this game and on this market are the store packs. And EA has said this year specifically, and I quote, "From launch, we're taking a more focused approach to store content. you'll see fewer promotional pack offers available alongside lower user limits on those offers as well. They're saying they're going to release less store packs. This is a day in the past where we have gotten 25K or 45K packs in the store, the first promo packs of the year as the Ultimate Edition at midnight does roll out for people on this day Thursday into Friday. We'll see if they do that today. Last year, I don't think they dropped them, but then on Friday, they dropped the 100K packs that destroyed prices. So, there's a little bit of PTSD in our minds from last year about how that impacted the market. I don't think they're going to do that, but I would be shocked if they didn't release anything. I think they're going to put out like some sort of pack. Maybe it's a 15K pack. Maybe it's a 25K. I don't think that would do too much damage to the market as long as they don't do a 45, 50, or 100k pack, which I don't think they will. if they're going to stick to their guns like they said with a slower power curve, a 20% slower power curve or whatever and even mentioning by name store packs in the pitch notes. Hopefully that is not an issue today. But that is going to be the way that I expect the market to go. Hopefully that helps you guys out. If you have any questions about who to keep or sell, drop them down below in the comments. And hopefully this helps you understand the market a little bit better. Last thing I want to discuss is what you should do when you log into FC27 today. Guys, I talked about this a bit yesterday, but just to reiterate, when you get into the actual game, I think you got to start playing games because there is a lot of coin reward. There's a lot of pack reward that you can get with not a lot of game time spent in objectives. I would play live events first. I'd play the ones we watched offline modes because you get some really good packs just for playing a couple of games. play two matches, you get a little bit of coins, you get a consumable pack, which could have a draft token in it. And then, of course, you're getting an 82 plus Premier League gold player pack there. Uh, the ones we watch challenge that I'm partially completed with right now, the kickoff challenge gives you a couple of coins and packs as well. Um, and then of course, you're on the way to getting the Savio done. And those are all offline modes. A good offline mode to start playing before you get into the more, you know, competitive online stuff there. So, I would focus on the ones we watched and the ones we watched um objectives here, those live modes and those objectives. I'd focus on that one. Also, guys, from there, I'd play squad battles because that is the next set of rewards that will be coming out on Sunday. If you go into the core modes section here, rewards are in 3 days. Right now, I'm in bronze one after playing only one game. Um, you know, these games are squad battles, so it's a good way to get into the game slowly as well. You don't have to get like elite one or elite 2. Getting into elite 3 or gold one. I mean, you get some solid rewards. 11,000 coins, a 75x10, and an 83* 3 on tradeable. That's good. 15k for elite and a 75 by 11 and an 83x4. These are some really good rewards. Even if you get like gold 3, which does not take that much effort, 8,000 coins, a tradeable and untradeable pack, that is worth your time. Especially because there's not that many people on the game yet. There will be more today, but there's not as many as there will be in like two weeks. Highly, highly recommend getting into uh squad battles today because that will be a good mode to play. And then of course rivals. Got to mention rivals. I'm getting my first rivals rewards today. Don't worry, it's like nothing good. I'm getting an 80 plus pack and then an 80 plus player pick. That's it. They're both tradable, but it's not a whole lot of rewards for Div 7 uh for me right now. Need more people to log onto this game so I have more people to match in rivals other than Zback and pros for the most part. But Rivals gives you really good coins. Like I played probably five or six games of Rivals and I made about 15k to 16k. It was about it was about 12 to 15k from those games of rivals getting my last few games in in my points right there just from playing a couple of games. That is way more coins than we would have gotten in the past. And that is one of the reasons why I think the market is going to move pretty positively today. And that's why I think that Rivals is a good game mode to play as well as you're logging into this game for the very first time. Now, what I'm going to go do to get some more coins before the market hopefully rises up today and into the next couple of days is I'm going to go open up some of my FC points from the pre-order on silver packs and test out that quickell theory. Do these silver packs actually give you more quicksell value than gold packs? How much quickell value do I get right here? I get 1653 times by times that by three. Yeah, that that checks out. 1653 times three. Oh my gosh, that would be 5,000 coins if I get that same level. That'd be 5,000 coins for three of these, which would equal the same FC point cost as one of the gold packs. That one's 1654. Oh my gosh, that's crazy. I'm going to make almost 5,000 coins from opening these silver packs. And that is a whole lot more value. 1632. Yeah. So, I'm going to spend 2,000 of my FC points on these. And then I'm going to come to the stream today and I'm going to open the other 2,000 FC points on the uh gold packs. I'm going to quick sell everything because I'm just here for the value. I might be able to sell a few of these cards here or there, but I'm just here for the value. And then we will spend the other FC points today on the gold packs to see if we do get anything good. Anyway, guys, good luck on your packs today. Good luck as you log into F27 for the first time. I can't wait to get this game going and get this market moving. It's going to be a good day today. Happy Thursday. Come to the stream. We'll be talking about all this stuff, getting into the market and opening these packs as I just mentioned as well. It's been Nathan. If you enjoyed this video, drop a thumbs up on it. Oo, 1,900 coins. Let's go. Subscribe to the channel if you're new and I'll see you in the stream today. Catch you there. Peace
