Video summary
The video explores the vast untapped potential within Kalimdor for a *Classic Plus* expansion, focusing on reviving existing zones without altering the map's silhouette. In Silithus, the speaker proposes converting inaccessible areas behind Ahn'Qiraj into a Horde leveling zone by adjusting level requirements and creating surface paths, while Feralas could see minor expansions around Isile of Dread or lore additions involving High Elves and ogres if world buffs are removed. The discussion extends to Tauris, where underdeveloped port cities should be built out and the Caverns of Time opened with dungeons reflecting Warcraft 1–3 lore rather than reusing Burning Crusade content. Additionally, the Gates of Ahn'Qiraj could be opened to reveal Titan-related lore, potentially leading to a new open-world zone or raid adjacent to Shadowfang Keep, while a hidden island used in the Scarab Lord quest chain remains an untouched Easter egg.
Moving northward, Dustwallow Marsh and Alcaz Island offer opportunities for expansion, including the intriguing plot point of rescuing Varian Wrynn from his cave imprisonment, which was added late in vanilla but absent from official lore. Telam Bay, referenced in *The Land of Mystery* RPG book but never implemented, is suggested as a viable addition to the South Seas. Northern Kalimdor presents the most significant opportunities, starting with fully opening Hyjal as an accessible zone that could host a dragon raid alongside Naxxramas-style content. The unfinished Ashamane zone, featuring Naga architecture and world boss spawns, could be fleshed out with additional quests and open-world activities, while Timbermaw Hold near Felwood is proposed as a raid location given its Burning Legion corruption lore. Furthermore, Ashana Crater, an unreleased battleground concept inspired by *Defense of the Ancients*, is presented as an ideal candidate for revival as a new PvP zone or mode.
Beyond Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdoms, the speaker briefly mentions Quel'Thalas as a potential Burning Crusade zone and speculates that Northrend could be implemented if executed correctly. The conversation then shifts to upcoming content plans, including coverage of BlizzCon, GTA roleplay, football content, and the return of tailgates in mid-October, with the schedule subject to adjustment based on BlizzCon events. The speaker also highlights various projects like GTA 6 and Cornwood, noting a temporary pause on "Coach Sand" before its potential return late in the season.
The video concludes by encouraging viewers to subscribe, engage with comments, and follow the creator's social media channels under the brand "SFAN TV," which includes Discord, Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok. Ah, [groaning]
I have returned from the Outland once
again. I have returned from the land of
Burning Crusade Anniversary with the
same clothes on and the same weapon and
the same streamer, same class. Guys, you
guys loved the Eastern Kingdoms video so
much that I did talking about Classic
Plus. I said, "Hey, we got to do a
Calumdor video as well. We got to do a
Calumdor video cuz there's a lot more to
talk about." And there is a lot of
classic plus stuff to talk about before
and hopefully after Blizzcon. If there
is not, then I will be sad. We're going
to go in the game and we're going to
take a look at everywhere in game that
Blizzard could implement new zones, new
areas in Classic Plus. Let's get
started. Let's move to the other side of
the map. Let's move to Calumdor. So, if
we go to Calumdor, do you guys want to
go top down or bottom up? I'll let you
guys decide.
bottom up. Okay, we'll do bottom up. We
did we did bottom up last time. We'll
we'll keep it the same. Let's start with
Sus.
Okay, so I think the first thing they
should do with Silathus is just put a
big sword in the middle of it for no
reason. What do you guys think?
[laughter]
The possibilities are endless. Let's
start here. Let's go to good old on.
So if we go to AQ, AQ, very similar to
Stratholm. There's this whole area
behind. Okay, there's a whole area
behind AQ. So this is AQ20. You can
actually see AQ20 from up top here, but
it expands beyond, right? So this this
is just some potential for an outdoor
zone. Like, do you really want to have
more bugs in this game? I don't know.
Like look at this. You have this whole
like path drawn out. Like something was
definitely done here. They were
definitely like trying to build
something here
cuz if you go and you look at this
inaccessible area on the map like
there's a path that goes up and down. I
mean they definitely like were messing
around with stuff here and maybe they
just gave up on it and they were like uh
I mean we'll just never have anybody go
here but maybe there is something you
can do back here and you can have like a
surface zone for onage
that is maybe maybe even a lower level
area like we talk about adding midlevel
content but how would you get there
because if you want to get through Sil
Silthus you basically have to be level
60 I mean dude when the game came out
Silith wasn't even done So,
it's got like a big sword.
What is this?
Like, what is this? Like, they just
built all this stuff back here for no
reason. So, maybe they do something to
Silathus to where it's like an
additional like level 50 leveling area
with like extra quests and stuff,
especially for the Horde. I think for
the Horde 50 to 60 is like a big pain
point, but maybe turning this into like
a questing area. Now, how would you open
up the access to it? That part I haven't
figured out because you do have to, you
know, go through AQ20 here to get here.
So, it doesn't really make any sense,
but maybe if you opened up like, you
know, you blow out this mountain on the
side or maybe you make it through
Feralus.
This video is brought to you by
boot.dev. You guys are used to leveling
in game. Now, [music] it's time to level
in real life. If you ever wanted to
learn how to code but didn't know how,
boot.dev is a fun and engaging way to
get started. They have courses covering
things like Python, Go, Linux,
databases, back-end development, and so
much more. So, instead of watching hours
of videos, you're actually writing code,
and you're solving problems as [music]
you go. The whole thing is set up like
an RPG. You earn XP, you complete
quests, you unlock new content, and you
work your way through different courses.
You're used to leveling up an XP bar in
game. Now, you can fill your XP bar and
gain new skills in real life. The nice
thing is you can actually start from the
beginning with Python or something and
work your way into more advanced topics.
So you don't need to already know how to
code. So if learning to code is
something you've been wanting to do,
whether you want to understand more
about games or you just want to pick up
a new skill, make sure to check out
boot.dev. You can go to boot.dev/sfand
or just use the code svand to get 25%
off your first payment. Huge shout out
to boot.dev for sponsoring us today.
Let's get back to it. I mean, maybe you
just rework Silhice as a zone and you
make it a little bit lower level in
general. So, there's like just a lot of
quests and a lot of stuff for people to
do here because look, there's all this
area here that is meant to be the
surface of Enourage and it's supposed to
be like just completely overrun with
insects basically with the scarabs. But
if you go to AQ40, you're here, you're
here, and then you're immediately
underground, you know? So, you're
immediately underground at this point.
It's like not really a big deal anymore.
Wait, wait. What the
wait?
I never realized that. That's the Kathun
room. Wait, dude. That never occurred to
me that the Kathun room is right here.
When you walk in, Kathun is like on the
other side of this wall cuz you have the
the 40man here. Sorry, the entrance of
the 40man here. It never occurred to me
that he was actually like that close.
So, this is just for rep grinds. Yeah,
but what if it wasn't? You know, I think
that's something that that could be cool
if they tweaked down some stuff for
Silthus, like level range wise, at least
maybe on this side, and you found a way
to turn that into a leveling zone for
the Horde. I think that could be cool.
And again, these are just like
spitballing ideas. Now, speaking of
another idea, let's go to Feralus. So,
we're here in Ferilus. Fereralis is
where a lot of the ogres are, Dire, but
also there's like some highle quests,
especially like some kind of crazy stuff
with uh this aisle of dread stuff. So,
Isisle of Dread is an area that there's
a couple quests here, but this is like a
relatively underserved area. Now, I
don't think this this might be a little
bit antithetical to everything that I've
been talking about or might kind of be
taken as like a surprise. Even though
I'm talking about all these things, that
doesn't necessarily mean that I think
every place in the game, every single
inch of the map actually needs to have
something there or have like some great
grand purpose. Now, I think that it
would be cool to have more places with
more purpose for for sure, especially
with like a little bit of mid-level
content and stuff added in and just kind
of taking a look at like Isisle of Dread
for example. There's like some highle
quests and stuff here that you come back
for, but it's not like a huge area. Its
whole point is just an island for the
brood lord head. Yeah, exactly. And I
think that's okay, but I also think it
would be nice in that same vein to make
it a little bit more than what it
already is. So, whenever you look at
Fairlless, like Fearless is overall like
fairly fleshed out. It's one of the
first zones that had content added to it
in the development of Classic WoW with
it being Dire Mallal in the 1.3 patch
and then it constantly had like little
things sprinkled into it, right? So,
here's Dyall and I don't know if there's
anything more to do with Dire Mallal
than what's already there because Dire
is such like a impactful big zone, big
dungeon in classic WoW because of how it
ties into everything. You get your
Librams here. There's a bunch of farms
that happen here. Dol East runs, world
buffs, all these kinds of things. Now,
if they do decide to get rid of world
buffs in Classic Plus, I actually think
that kind of takes away a lot from
Direall, even though like there's still
like the Librims, there's still the
farms, there's still all that, but the
dungeon gear is still pretty good from
here. But I do think that it is going to
reduce the amount of time you spend in
Fairless and go to Fairless by a
significant margin. So, I think there
might be something that would be nice to
do here as like a little bit of a
consolation for getting rid of it, but
it's not necessarily required because
you could make up for it in other places
on the map. The purpose of this video
isn't necessarily to be a discussion on
world buffs. It's more so about places
that they can do things. They can spend
more on the lore from there with the
high elves and the ogres. That's true. I
mean, if they decide to add high elves,
maybe there's something they can do
there because the high elves and dire
and the ogres, like there's this whole
sort of like lore storyline that I'm not
an expert on. Maybe you got to ask Noble
for that one. But, uh, there's a whole
sort of like lore storyline thing back
there that is um that's absolutely
something that they could expand upon,
right? It depends. I think if they add
high elves, then it's layup. If not,
then I don't know. Now, let's run it
back down a little bit. I don't imagine
being able to do anything with Angoro
Crater. It's funny because Angoro Crater
seems like such like a it kind of feels
like it's like not it for whatever
reason. Like it's just like when you
look at it, but when you're there and
playing, it's so good. But like when you
look at it, you're like, "Oh man,
there's there's got to be something to
do here." But I think it's so good, man.
because the actual gameplay, the quests,
the things that you can do here with
like the colored crystal things like the
power, the crystal spire, whatever it's
called again, like things with the
Librams here, it's pretty cool.
Southwest of Angoro is pretty useless.
Yeah, but maybe that's kind of just what
it's supposed to be. I think Angoro is
probably okay.
You know, you go right up into Taurus.
You go right up into, you know, ZF is
right here.
I mean, there's some area right here,
but I can't imagine you could fit
anything in here between I think
there's the area up to Zilthus. I mean,
there's all this area to use here.
There's I think that's fairless. And
here's the thousand needles. I mean,
maybe there is something you can do
here, but I don't have like a lore sort
of like what makes sense to really add
here. Maybe something with trolls. I I
don't really know cuz you have ZF cuz
we're talking more about things that
like people like really expect the real
layups cuz I think that's important to
hit. I think it's important to land the
layups for that area south of Sus AQ.
Did I? So this is AQ. So south of AQ is
here.
Oh, this is interesting. What is this
place called? I I actually totally
forgot about this. I didn't know this
was here. I've seen this place. I mean,
I don't know if there's anything
specific that you should put here. I
think this is more of just like a little
a fun little Easter egg area. Kind of
similar to the to the hen house area
that we were talking about earlier.
There's a cave back here.
Interesting.
I mean, this is like a pretty deep cave,
but there's there's really nothing to do
here in particular. I mean, talking
about like an entry point to like a like
a leveling zone. Maybe Oh, I got an
idea. Maybe you can turn that into a
port. You can you can cut into this
mountain here and it's a port for
where
the boat here that's in Feather Moon
stronghold.
But Feather Moon, this is Alliance area,
right? It's Alliance only. I think you
could put a I think you could put that
boat and it runs right along the coast
and then you add another boat or a
zeppelin there.
and it's a it's a port town for level 50
to 60 to do like this whole quest area.
I think that could be cool. So, let's
talk about the next thing. So, let's go
for a layup. Let's talk about the
layups, right? I think the layups are
the most important thing, the things
that people expect. Let's go to Tenaris.
Tenaris very iconic zone for a lot of
reasons. Okay, you have Gadget Xan right
here. You have Gadget Xan.
I think building out these like there's
so many of these different port cities
that are not built out. I think it's
super important to build out port
cities. I don't necessarily think you
need to add like fast travel in other
ways. I do think having shortcuts and
having some a little bit of
accessibility and and building some
choke points here cuz this will this
will add traffic, right? And like having
traffic is good because you want to see
other players and you want to see people
come in and out. So, I think that like
building out a lot of these ports is a
good idea, and I would like to see them
do that. There's a lot to talk about in
Taurus, by the way. Uh, the next area is
this is all the pirate stuff right here.
You see that? The caverns of time. So,
right here you have the caverns of time.
So, I think the caverns of time should
be opened and they should flesh it out,
but it should be completely different
dungeons of what we see in Burning
Crusade and on. Like, I don't think they
need black morass. I don't think they
need Hyel or uh the culling of Stratholm
or any any of that stuff, right? I think
what they need is they should cover
other historical events in Warcraft
history or maybe like stuff that's
missing in the history. This we don't
need all this. You have the calling of
Stratholm here. You have Black Morass
here. I believe this is Hyel here,
right? And then this is Durnhold, right?
No, maybe that's Durnhold and this is
Hyel. I always forget. I think there's
stuff that you can add in Caverns of
Time. I think Caverns of Time should be
opened up and I think there's a lot of
really cool things you can do in Caverns
of Time to highlight either iconic
battles or moments in Warcraft 3,
Warcraft 2, Warcraft 1 even. I think
that should be a theme of like a classic
plus. Whether you want to do classic
minus idea where it's a prequel or
whatever, I hope that they call back to
a lot of like the lore things or the
factions of the original Warcraft games,
Warcraft 1, 2, and 3. I think that would
be cool. So, here's the next point.
Everybody knows it. This is this is
another layup. It's got to open. So, you
do a quest in Badlands where you go to
Alderman and you do all this stuff. You
know, you eventually come here and you
get like like a level and a half from
doing all of it. And you turn this quest
and then hey, what's in here? Nothing.
These are the gates of old. Okay. And
this is a lot of stuff with like the old
gods and the titans and the lore and
this and that. I think opening up old
makes a lot of sense. You come down here
and then that quest just kind of stops.
like it just it feels super incomplete.
So, I remember this was like a key thing
in Cataclysm that they opened up and it
was a whole another zone out in this
area. Now, my general sort of thought
process behind all of these things has
been, hey, you don't need to change the
silhouette of the map. You can add a
bunch of stuff without really changing
the whole geography. Now, does that mean
that they can or that they shouldn't at
all? Not necessarily. And I think if
they were to add something like in here
and turn them into something, maybe is a
raid even. Maybe ends up being a raid.
That's probably what it should be. Like
it's it's like a continuation of old
man. Like all these dungeons, not all of
them, but a lot of the dungeons have
some sort of raid that they build into.
Like and and not all the content should
be raid content. There should be a lot
of open world content. There should be a
lot of uh midlevel range content, like
leveling content, stuff like that,
right? New dungeons, new raids, all this
sort of stuff. Uh, but I think that
there's like a lot of potential existing
areas that have like an adjacent sort of
dungeon or something attached to them.
And I think old man tom makes sense.
Shadow Fang keep to Gilaeas and the
Greyman wall kind of makes sense. So I
think there's a lot of opportunities for
that. And not everything necessarily has
to be attached to a raid. It could just
be attached to a big open world zone.
And I think that'd be cool. Look,
there's this area right here. Is there
anything here? There's a crash plane. Is
this There's a whole area out here, by
the way, for You see this? You see this
island? This is for the Scarablord
quest. This is kind of cool. You have to
drink a potion that makes you swim
really fast in order to make it to this
island that's just like off the coast.
It's not even on the map, I don't think.
I don't I don't remember. I think I
think I think if you go on the map, it's
like out here randomly. But you do this
for the Scarab Lord quest chain. You
have to come out here. Yeah. Yeah, you
have to wear like a the speed belt and
yeah, all kinds of stuff. So, a lot of
people don't know this exists because
they didn't do the scare question. You
can go back and see my Scarablord videos
from years ago. They're so good of me
doing the quest chain. You can go go
back and like see videos from like the
like six years ago when whenever I got
scarboarded. I recorded a lot of it off
stream because I was I was taking a
break. I was so tired, man. I was like
that was the first time I ever took a
break. I took two weeks off to finish my
grand marshall grind and to get
scarboarded off stream. That was
something. That was that was crazy. You
don't need to touch this area. I think
this is pretty cool. The scarab lord and
all that. Like this is kind of like a
special thing. It's funny. I saw this. I
saw this plane. I was like, I remember
this and I turned this one. I was like,
I think it's here. [laughter]
Okay. Already we've covered a lot of
potential areas to have in Calumor. And
it's only the bottom of the map, man.
But I think that's a pretty like meaty
portion of the map to cover. As we go up
a little bit, it's going to get a little
bit more spread out. Let's go ahead and
start heading on up north. that I think
the next place to look at where they
could potentially add something I think
is Dust Wallow Marsh. So if you go here,
this is Dust Wallow Marsh and this is
where this is where Enixia is. There she
is. So this is where Enixia is. This is
the entrance to Enixia's tomb because
she dies. Does Marsh is like a pretty
empty zone generally speaking. Like
there's not a whole lot happening here.
You have Theramore which is like a which
is a port city. I think I think the the
emphasis on port cities and like boat
travel. I think I think any sort of like
fast travel should be I maybe some
zeppelin but I think a lot of boat I
think I think there should be more of an
emphasis on that that type of travel of
anything. Where the hell is theore?
There it is. So there's not like a whole
lot going on. There's like some higher
level there's some higher level mobs and
stuff like that going on here. I think
there's some fishing stuff around here
if I remember correctly. The alliance
first aid quest in there. But Dus Wala
Marsh is pretty heavily it's it's pretty
heavily like like sparse. Yeah. We used
to go up here. This was like the
shortcut to NX. Yeah. We would we would
take the water and we would jump up here
and we go right in here. There are some
more things in Dustalla Marsh. Is this
uh where's the cave where Varian Ren is?
I can't remember. There's like Varian
Ren is in a cave somewhere in Dus Walla
Marsh and like I did not know that years
ago. He's imprisoned. Let me let me see
if I can find him. Oh, he's Oh, he's on
Alcaz. Oh, yeah. Okay. Alcaz the next
place in Dust Marsh. I mean, I was just
kind of showing off a little bit Dusa
Marsh, but I think Alcaz Island, which
is like Alcaz isle, that's like
Alcatraz, right? It's a big prison. So,
you come out here. There's a bunch of
stuff out here. You know, the different
palm trees, stuff like that. This these
places where you can grind some mobs and
you can level out here, right? But this
is Alcaz Island with a bunch of giants
and there's a lot of action here. Now, a
lot of the places that I'm covering are
places that ended up being used later on
in vanilla for like the Scarablord quest
chain, and this is one of them. But
you have this whole area here as well
with uh Dr. What's his name? Dr. Weevil.
Dr. Weevil. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So, like
Dr. Weevil is out here and this is a
pretty like hot area. So, there's a
little gnome. He's We call him Dr.
Weevil. So maybe there's something that
they could do with Alcaz Island. I think
most of the stuff with the Scarablord
quest chain, it really depends on what
they want to do with AQ40. It depends on
what they want to do with like the
Scarablord, that whole thing. If they
even want to do something like that
again, I don't know. Now, what's funny
is so all this place existed, right? And
then it was used in patch 1.9. But you
know what's funny about Variant Ren? And
I said like I didn't know he was here in
original vanilla. Like I I learned about
it playing on private servers later on.
Well, what's super interesting about it
is a lot of people didn't know he was
here in original vanilla because he
wasn't put into this part of the game
until like the last like seven or eight
months, I think, of vanilla. Wow. Was it
was patch 1.10 whenever patch 1.10 came
out. If they don't make something with
this in classic plus, I'd be pissed. I
mean, it's it's cool. Like, you know, I
think it would be cool if in classic
plus you rescue Varian Ren. I think that
would be cool. Anyway, so this is Alcaz
Island. I think there's stuff here that
they could add. We'll keep to southern
Kalindor just a little bit and and we
can take a look at GM island for fun.
Telabbeam, the old Telabe banana. It's
off the eastern coast of Kalindor, east
of Tenares. I know like some private
servers cuz this is another one that's
like a layup, right? And I know I know
private servers have added this in
finally. People have talked about Telam
for years. Telam being a place. Maybe
they add an island here. I don't know
how or what. You have this area with the
pirates and you have this area that I
said I think they should they should
make it like a they should open it up as
a port city. But I think adding Telam
here somehow. Oh, this is the edge of
the map in the southeast I think could
be cool. I think it could be cool to
have a a Telam island here. What is
Telam? Telam is I mean it's part of like
the South Sea stuff. Telam banana. Uh
wait what? 3%. That's in retail. So, so
these Telebeam bananas have been in the
game from the very beginning. So, I was
like there's been talk about this
forever, but they never actually put it
in the game. I think Telam should be
like right here. Like geographically,
it's right here. And we're talking about
like the South Seas with like Colus and
and Telam. Like all that's like kind of
in the same sort of vein. And I think it
would be cool to add it. So, look at
this. Telam is an island shown on the
map the South Seas in the RPG book Land
of Mystery. Telam is as of yet
unavailable in World of Warcraft, but a
few items refer to it. That's crazy. I
have kind of a crazy take by the way. I
wouldn't be opposed to them eventually
adding Northrren. They're just going to
copy Turtle. Wow. I think that phrase is
kind of stupid because I don't think any
of these ideas, and I'm just being
honest and this myself included, I don't
think any of these ideas are
particularly creative because all this
stuff already exists in the lore and
it's already all mapped out and it was
already all done in Cataclysm. A lot of
it, not all of it, but a lot of it. And
we're just being honest with ourselves
like who's copying who, you know? Okay,
so we talked about this. We showed
Alcast Isle. Um, next,
now we get to the juicy part. Northern
Calumdor is kind of where it gets real
juicy. I think there's maybe something
that you could do in Des, but nothing
really comes to mind. Northern Calumdor
is where the juice is at. You could do
something with the Centaurs. Maybe like
add a D like maybe another dungeon there
or maybe a raid there, but we're talking
a lot about adding raids and I don't
necessarily think that's [music] good.
Northern Calumdor. Okay, this is where
the juice is. This is where this, you
know, we're talking about layups, things
that you easy. People expect this.
People want to see this from Blizzard. I
think whenever you get up to northern
Calumdor, you have to start, you have to
start talking about Hyel. It's a raid in
Burning Crusade. It's the first zone in
Cataclysm. Whenever whenever they redid
the whole world map, you got to start
with Hyel. So, let's go there.
Here it is. All this area in the game,
this isn't just something that you see
in Cataclysm, by the way, or in Burning
Crusade in the raid. This whole area is
in the game from vanilla. Now, it might
not be quite as fleshed out. There might
be there might be a few things different
here and there, but this area is in the
game, and it's and it's accessible
through uh some clever maneuverability.
It's accessible, but it's not meant to
be, right? So, all this is Hyel. Now,
Hyel is this big big plateau mountainous
plateau area.
So, you got another you got another
dragon mouth here. Very similar to
Enixia. Now, what's interesting, this is
not an interactable object like the
Enixia one. So, if you go through it
doesn't let you uh it it it's still
here, right? So, when we went to Enixia,
this was open. I think Hyel is an
absolute layup. It's something they 100%
have to do. And this was always meant to
be something that was going to be
available. They just never really
figured it out until they eventually
turned it into a raid in Burning Crusade
and then again turned it into a leveling
zone in Cataclysm. Now, how do you get
into Hyel? If you guys remember in 2019
Thanksgiving, we did like a Thanksgiving
event with some Horde and some Alliance
where we actually came and we ended up
having like a a feast, a Thanksgiving RP
feast with people on the Horde side in
Hyel. And then I, if I remember right, I
think it turned into a blood bath. I
can't remember. [laughter]
Yeah, that was back in 2019. Yeah, it
was with Aftershock. That's right. It
was Crusade and Aftershock with Crom and
and everybody. Uh, now I'm trying to
remember. I'm kind of circling the uh
the wagons here like the Buffalo Bills.
I'm circling the zone. All this is in
the game, dude. Like in vanilla. Wow.
This whole area was built and they just
never used it. So, let's leave. Okay.
Winter spring. Beautiful Winter Spring.
So, Winter Spring kind of borders this
until you get to Dark Whisper Gorge.
Okay. And right here is Dark Whisper
Gorge. And here's what's very funny. A
lot of you guys probably already know
this, but if you don't, this area Winter
Spring where there's a lot of high level
content, there's a reputation grind to
get the tiger mount and all kinds of
stuff, right? If you go all the way down
into Dark Whisper Gorge through all the
level 60 demon elites, everything, this
place is scary. Okay. Scary, scary
place. You eventually get into one of
these caves, one of these tunnels.
Is it this one?
Which way? It's been years since I did
this. So, I got to find the path.
But eventually,
I think it's this one. I think it's this
one.
So, you have this area and it's got
these like special special things.
Oh, it doesn't show here, but there's a
raid portal. Okay, there's actually a
portal for a raid here. But in the game
itself, right here,
there's a construction like a like a do
not enter construction thing. That is
totally like out of place. Hyel entrance
vanilla. Wow. Higel was an unopen secret
during vanilla and no official legal
entrance for players. Physical
obstruction. I want to see if we can
find Oh, I was wrong. It's not here.
Okay, my bad. It's not actually here.
Blizzard Construction Company. So, I
think I think it's actually on this side
that the that the thing is I think on
this side is just a gate and behind the
gate is a portal.
Yeah. Yeah. So, this is a gate here, but
beyond the gate is this is is a
construction sign. So, the way to get up
here, there's some way to like wall jump
here and and we would go up the rocks
somehow. I think it was here. We'd go up
the rocks and you have to jump up here
and then and then eventually you would
get up and then here
and then you would come down here and it
was like bam, you're in hydrol. Pretty
cool. So, yeah. And then this is Hydrol
that we were talking about, right? So,
again, this is another expected area.
This is an absolute layup. I I really
hope Blizzard does flesh out Hyel. And
maybe there's another dragon to kill
here.
You know, maybe they don't use this at
all. I mean, this is just randomly here.
I mean, who knows? They could have just
thrown that down there for no reason.
But there's just there's a massive
massive zone. I think this could be a
highle open world area with a raid
attached to it, right? Like maybe that
dragon raid. I think it would be cool to
add another dragon raid other than other
than Enixia because Enixia is your only
dragon raid in in vanilla, isn't it?
Like there's dragon bosses. That's your
only like dragon. I mean, unless you
unless you talk about like the world
dragons, you know? Sorry. Whenever I say
a dragon raid, I'm talking about like
Grul. I mean, Grul is two bosses, but
something like that where you just go in
and it's just a boss, but I think you
could add something there. Dragon raid
across your face. Thank you. Now, Winter
Spring. I think Winter Spring is pretty
good. Okay, so we saw Hyel right there,
dead center in northern Calumdor. It's
time for the big juicer here. Okay,
big big big juicer. Ashara.
So, Ashara is another zone that was
never actually finished. There's some
highle raid stuff like quests that come
out here, getting your dow quest done,
whatever. There's also very similar to
Grimatl Timber Hold is right here and
this is right off the the edge of
Winterring. So, the Timber Maw Wolves
are in Felwood and you have to run
through the Timber Mall wolves in order
to actually get to Winter Spring by like
normal travel means. Ashenville.
All right, Ashara. So, we just took a
look at Winterring, which is right here,
and Hydrol right here. So, this is
Ashara. Ashara is a mostly incomplete
zone that left a lot to be desired. It's
a cool area and there's a lot of like
lore here with with the Naga with like
Queen Ashara and and stuff like that. I
love content like this. It's
educational, simple, so relaxing. It's
nostalgic. Love you, buddy. Thanks,
dude. Yeah, I mean, I think this is just
like fun fun stuff to go through and
just look at like how much potential
there could be for like a classic plus,
right? So, you have all this area and
and like I said, Ashara left a lot to be
desired. There was a world boss here.
There was this is a high-end like highle
area. Uh there's some good farm spots
for like demonic runes, but just like
generally speaking, I would say that
it's not a zone that's like ready. But
you can see it's like a lot of this sort
of like naga night elven architecture. I
don't think I've ever even been inside
of this area. Have any of you guys ever
been in here? I've never been inside of
this. I don't know what it's for. If
it's just here and it just looks cool
and kind of looks like a naga night elf
area. There's one quest for this. Okay,
there's all this kind of stuff, right?
You have you have a world bosses ponzier
Azeros. You have this area outside of
here where there's there's a bunch of
Naga to kill. There's some freaking
crabs. There's some giants out there.
And then eventually you can fly out.
We're going to go zoom zoom zoom. We're
going to go fast mode. Where's the rock?
It's like way the hell out there. The
place for uh to get your douse. That
actually might be it. Wait, this looks
like a turtle.
Look at that. Doesn't that look like a
turtle? Anyway, so here's the thing with
Ashara. I think Ashara can definitely
have some more content added to it. Uh,
not just like for leveling stuff, high
level stuff, all that, right? All that's
great. Oh my gosh, I just had the
craziest flashback.
Oh my gosh, it was amazing. I'm not
going to go into this whole story, but I
remember the day my private server
guild, raid 3 was the name of the guild,
broke off from the other guild we were
in called Sanctum. And it was because of
a world boss fight. This was on
Allesium. Yes, it was an Azeros fight
that we had and we were sitting here and
I remember just for hours this Azeros
fight is going on and we're trying to
hold the bridge. There was multiple
coalitions back then. It wasn't like
eventually what happened in classic is
everybody kind of just started working
together. But back then there was like
multiple coalitions that were fighting
against each other. Alliance versus
alliance, horde versus horde, right? You
had kill groups, you had I mean it was
it was so sick. so sick. Now, I didn't
really have an appreciation for it back
then. But what ended up happening is we
had people who are part of my raid group
who which I I wasn't the leader of, but
by I was not the leader, by the way, at
this point. I was like a random that
joined the guild. They invited me to the
guild because I I performed [music] well
in raid. I was like a pug rat that the
leader of Sanctum said that I wasn't
allowed to join the raid because I was a
rat paladin. But he wasn't in the raid
and there wasn't 40 people and they were
like, "We need people anyway. Why not
just bring this guy? He has like
Arcanite Reaper. He has a Lion Heart
helm. He's obviously put in the effort.
Just bring the guy. And that guy who
invited me was Deputy. Okay, this is a
fun little just side note. So, Deputy
invites me to the raid and then
eventually I get invited to the guild
and the rest is kind of history. So, we
end up raiding in raid three uh of
Sanctum and then some people in my guild
were or my raid were pissed. So, they
ended up leaving the guild because they
said that people in my raid in in raid
three were not allowed to get world boss
loot at all. they would never have a
chance at it. But then that we we were
like required to go to the world boss.
Like I understand like prioritizing
certain people. I I totally get that. I
was just kind of there and I was just
checking it out. I was like, "What is
this world boss fight all about?" But I
remember just holding this bridge for
hours with people. Some people left the
guild. So then what ended up happening
is my raid group started to be like,
"Okay, well like we just all need to
leave." So I'm like, "Okay, fine." So we
ended up leaving and we ended up making
another guild called Raid 3. I said,
"Let's just call the guild raid 3." Uh I
still was not the leader at this time.
It was it was another guy uh who was
leading the guild. His name was Ythl. He
was a priest. So Yethl is leading. Uh
and after a while like Yithl can't
really play anymore, keep up with I
can't remember what happened, but Yl
ends up ends up not playing anymore. And
then he passes lead to uh another guy
named D the Lion. D was super nice guy.
He was our prop tank. We had a fury tank
and a prop tank. Over the course of this
time, like I was kind of becoming more
and more involved in like uh no not
[laughter] Dildo Lion. Dill the Lion.
[laughter] Dildo Lion. So Dill was
great. He was super super nice guy. He
was our prop tank. D ends up he has to
take a break for some time. He like had
to go out of town for like 2 or 3 weeks.
And in the meantime, like over the
course of like this this period of like
maybe 2 months, I was getting more and
more involved. And like a lot of people
were joining the guild because of me and
I was like recruiting and I and I had
just started streaming. I was like on
YouTube. I was kind of working on like
trying to really help the raid group
pick up a little bit because I was like
a I was like a high performer in the
raid. But our raid group sucked, right?
I I was kind of slowly becoming in
charge of the raid group more and more.
And then eventually what happened is
whenever Dill took a break, I was like
interim guild leader while he was gone
and then I ended up being guild leader
after that which is like so then then I
ended up being the guild leader of raid
3. And it was like this whole story arc
was like trying to like whip these guys
into shape and like getting this raid
group to be able to clear blackwing
layer to be able to do this stuff. It
was just funny. It was such a meme on
lazium to watch my streams because my
guild sucked. It was so unbelievably
bad. Like raid 3 was a complete dog
raiding guild, but everybody on the
server was watching our raids because it
was like it it was like it was just,
"Hey, Thursday night, turn on turn on
the SMAN raid because it was so funny."
Yeah. And it was like obviously you have
this rep paladin who's a pretty good
player and doing all the things right,
but he's playing like a bad class and
he's stuck with all these and
he's like trying to whip everybody into
shape, but he's like it's just funny.
Like the whole thing was just like it
was just a big meme. So that's kind of
how it all got started. That guild was
great and some people from Raid 3
actually raided with me in vanilla and
Burning Crusade in 2019 and some people
are still around from back then which is
like which is pretty cool. But yeah,
dude, Raid 3 was that was a fun guild,
man. Those were those were great guys. I
I really really enjoyed that whole sort
of experience. So hopefully some of
those raid three guys come back and and
play Classic Plus. I think it'll be fun.
That wasn't even 20. That was 2017.
Anyway, that's a fun little little side
story time. So yeah, I think Ashara is
definitely something that that should be
expanded upon. Okay. And Classic Plus.
Wait, what is this? How do you get up
here?
I didn't even know this area was up
here.
It's a little like mountain plateau area
that I didn't know about. Okay. So, the
next thing I want to talk about in
Ashara is another place that's like a
like a layup type of place. It's a place
that a lot of people talked about
before. Yeah. It's called Timber Mall
Hold. So, this is a place right here.
So, Timber Maul Hold, as you can see, is
right here on the map, right outside of
Winterring. And in Winterring, there's a
lot of action with like the the
furballs, right? With the Winterfall
Firewater in Felwood, you see a lot of
action with the with the different fur
balls and stuff like that. So, Timber
Hold is right here. And Timberwall Hold
is another place that you can see. It's
closed off and they never really did
anything with it. They didn't do
anything with with Timberwall Hold in
retail ever, did they? So, this is just
kind of like a a place that just exists
in Vanilla WoW. It's on the map. It's
here. It's named like it has a name on
the map itself. You scroll over and it's
it's programmed to show Timberall Hold.
And it's like, well, what the hell do
you do with Timberall Hold? I think this
is another place that you could
potentially make as a raid area. I think
even like if I go to Timberm hold I
don't even think that this place has
like a whole lot of Oh wait actually it
does have a decent amount of history
like look when the corruption of the
Burning Legion crept into the sacred
forest of Calumdorf Furbogs fell into a
corrupted influence of the Burning
Legion. Since Cataclysm the Ashara
entrance to the hold has been replaced
with the Black Maul hold with the Black
M tribe having a schism with the Timber
Mos. There's like a little bit of lore
with this with the Burning Legion
corrupting the Furbul and then it
eventually gets changed into Black Mold
because I guess the the Blackm and the
Timber Maw end up separating. But yeah,
I think it would be cool to do something
with Timberm hold. Maybe I don't know
why they didn't do anything with it.
Maybe Blizzard ultimately thought that
the furball just weren't very popular or
interesting enough to be able to make a
raid out of them entirely. I I don't
know. I don't know. I don't know why.
But yeah, that's Timber Mold. I think
that's another place that they could
easily address and have something be
made out of for sure. The last part of
what I want to talk about with Calumdor
is a special unreleased area. Actually,
it's a zone, but it's related to Ashara.
So, this is called Ashara Crater.
Ashara Crater. What is this? Obviously,
it looks just like Ashara. Like, it's
the same sort of color and and and style
and all that. Ashara Crater was an
unreleased battleground. And you might
have seen like screenshots and pictures
of the two dragons here in the past, the
broken dragon and all that. Like this is
kind of like an iconic sort of like
leaked image that people would see.
It's unfinished, but I would love to see
Blizzard implement and bring back Ashara
Crater in some way. Now, what was Ashara
Crater supposed to be? There's been a
lot of talks like I've talked to
different devs and stuff in the past.
There just there's just all kinds of
different answers cuz people like, "Oh,
we thought maybe it would be this,
thought maybe it be that." I think the
main answer that I had gotten over the
years was Ashara Crater was essentially
supposed to be Blizzard's answer to the
popularity of Defense of the Ancients.
So, this was supposed to be like a MOA
battleground essentially. Yeah. So,
Defense of the Ancients is Dota, right?
Dota was a Warcraft 3 custom map which
eventually got turned into its own game.
They essentially wanted to make like a
MOA. And you can see when you when you
look at it in that scope, like look at
it as like a moa here. I'm going to zoom
out and take a look at this. You have a
base there.
You have a path and it goes all the way.
It keeps going, keeps going, keeps
going. And then it goes to this side.
And then there's stuff here. Like I
said, this area is unfinished clearly.
Like I mean, this looks so unfinished
right here. I would love to see them add
this as a battleground done the right
way or even like in in some other
fashion adding a shara crater I think
would be super super cool. So it's it's
an area that got tabled and it got kind
of got thrown in the trash and they
never really got used. This is a sh
crater and I I'd love for them to
utilize this somehow. So anyway, those
are all the different places that I
think you could take in that are
currently in the world. Like you just
you have so many options. You have so
much to work with. And you know we
talked about Eastern Kingdoms in the
other video. We talked about Calumor.
Now I think there's even more, [music]
right? We we mentioned Qua Loss a little
bit, right? Then that's a Burning
Crusade area. Who knows? Maybe they find
a way to someday somehow implement North
Rend into a Classic Plus. I think that
would be okay if it's done the right
way. More discussions for another time.
Make sure to check everything out.
You're going to want to see my BlizzCon
coverage. You're going to want to see
the classic coverage. I'm going to be
doing everything. There's GTA roleplay
coming up. There's football content
coming up. You know, we'll see what
happens at Blizzcon. And then we're
going to have to adjust the schedule off
of that. There is so much happening
within the next four months. It is going
to be insane. Everything that I do, it
all kind of got crammed at the end of
the year. GTA 6 is coming in November.
Cornwood is back. Tailgates are going to
be back in in probably middle of
October. I haven't decided when I'm
starting tailgates this year, but
tailgates will come in October. Coach
Sand is has been here. We're probably
going to move away from Coach Sand for a
little bit before bringing it back
towards the end of season. We'll see
what happens. Again, everything is
everything is kind of moving around
