JUST DROPPED AT SEPHORA (its a lot) THE ULTIMATE GUIDE TO FALL/HOLIDAY LAUNCHES! Part 1

If you are feeling overwhelmed by all of the makeup launches right now, I do not blame you. Take a deep breath. This video is going to help you out. Today, I am speed reviewing 37 of the newest products that just dropped at Sephora. And hopefully, I can break down everything for you and help you make your purchasing decisions. If you're new to my speed review series, this is kind of my final opinion for you guys. All of these products I've tested multiple times with multiple wear tests, with multiple other products, and I'm here to give you my final reviews on these. So, these reviews are actually thoroughly tested products. And I mean, this video has been in the making for a while. These are mostly all of the fall drops at Sephora. Now, the way the makeup season goes is fall drops and holiday drops kind of blend together, but most of the fall products have already launched. And come September, which is September now, we're actually in the thick of holiday drops. And holiday drops tend to be some limited edition products, but also mostly kits. So these are mostly those limited edition products or fall drops. You'll see. So the majority of these products are pretty new products, but I have thoroughly tested these. I do not put a product that I have not tested in a speed reviews. All of these products have been worn multiple times with multiple wear tests, worn with other products using different techniques to apply, and I'm giving you my final thoughts on these. So, I can guarantee you these are truly reviews and not just first impressions, and hopefully I can break down and make all of these new launches more approachable for you. I love this series. This is to me my most important series on my channel. I take my job very seriously. So, I'm excited to share with you guys my thoughts on these products cuz they're all very new, very popular, and I have some thoughts. So, hopefully I can save you some money or lead you to products that you are going to absolutely fall in love with. So, let's get started with complexion. The first two products that I have are from the brand Wise. They recently changed their name. It was just Yse, but everybody was pronouncing it wrong. So, they added a little metallic eye in there. So, the packaging of the skin glow primer just says YSC, but now we have the new label here, Yisc. But the first product that I demoed is their brand new Extremely Quench Peptide Instant Glow Moisturizer. This is beautiful. This is advertised to be perfect for a makeup primer. If you have dry skin, I really think you will like this. So, it's supposed to be a moisturizer and a primer in one. Kind of both in one situation. If you have dry skin, I think you will like this. It's pretty thick. It's pretty deeply moisturizing without feeling too heavy for putting your makeup over top of it. So, I really would mostly use this on days where I've already applied my skinincare in the morning and it's been a few hours between actually applying my makeup because this will have more hydration than an actual makeup primer because it leans more towards moisturizer. It's very, very nice, but it is very, very expensive. So, I don't necessarily think it's worth it maybe during the Sephora savings event, but it does a really nice job of hydrating the skin. It's definitely on the more thicker and highly moisturizing side. But another product that I've been using from them that I absolutely love, this isn't necessarily brand new, but it is new to me. It's the Wise Skin Glow SPF 30 primer. Now, this to me, it is still very, very expensive, but this is a little bit more worthwhile because I think it's a little bit more unique to what's on the market. So, first of all, it's SPF 30. It's probably not enough. You probably will still need, well, you do need to apply a natural SPF before using this, but this is a great additional layer, something to reup on, but this is very hydrating as well. It is thinner than the moisturizer, but it leaves the most gorgeous glow that is stunning on its own without any makeup underneath or putting makeup over top. If you wear something sheer like a tinted moisturizer, that glow will peek through. I'm going to let the demo speak for itself. I really love this. Neither of these help with longevity, but they do make the makeup sit prettier on the skin, and I enjoy both. I mean, these are the first two products that I've tried from Wise. Well, that's not true. I've tried a couple other things, but these two products are the products that I've definitely tested the most thoroughly, and I really do enjoy them. They are on the pricier side, and I do think the Skin Glow SPF 30 primer stands out a little bit more to me. I fear that was not very speedy. Okay, I'm going to go a little bit quicker now. I actually have six foundations. Six. And I have very different thoughts on all of them. So, the first one that I've been testing is from Beauty of Josan. This is their tinted mineral daycreen. It has SPF 30. So, it's a tinted SPF. And you know what? This is pretty nice. This definitely has more coverage than other tinted SPFs that I've tried. It gives a light coverage. Nothing crazy, but definitely more than I thought. It's not the most smoothing. The first time that I used this, I really liked it. I would say now after having tested it more, it doesn't smooth the skin very nicely. It's just when I put on a foundation or something, my skin looks better with it than it does than with this. So, when I've used it, I've enjoyed it. The wear time on this is pretty good. Do keep in mind I do have dry skin and don't really struggle with wear time. It's just I pay attention to how the product breaks down and if it breaks down gracefully. I haven't been upset with the wear time on this and I've been mostly impressed with the coverage, but it does not smooth the skin. So, I feel like my skin looks a little bit textured if I don't pair it with other products that are more flattering on my skin. So, I like it, but I don't know that it's a product I would repurchase. I have had a couple requests for some updates on the new Tower 28 foundation. This is a serum foundation. Honestly, it does not remind me of the serum concealer. I think the serum concealer has a lot more coverage. And honestly, I think the serum concealer is much prettier as a foundation than the actual foundation. They don't really remind me of each other. That said, this is still a good foundation. It's very thin and watery. It gives a lighter coverage as well. It gives just a little bit more coverage than the Beauty of Josan, but I was definitely expecting more coverage based on how the serum concealer is. It's just unrelated if you ask me. But overall on its own, it is a pretty foundation and it does leave the skin feeling pretty smooth, but it's not like a toprunner foundation. There are other foundations that would that I would prefer over this. However, I do like this a lot more than the Tower 28 tinted moisturizer. I think that this one is much much prettier. So, I definitely like this foundation. Again, it's probably not a top tier foundation for me, but I enjoy it if you like something lighter coverage that feels lightweight and that really does smooth down the skin nicely and it has good wear time, too. I didn't notice anything crazy with it. It's not like super longwearing, but on my dry skin, my skin enjoyed it and it didn't look dry throughout the day. Then, we have this guy, which is one of the most expensive, if not the most expensive foundations in today's video, the Westminatilier Supreme Bio Complex Liquid Foundation. I have the shade Ailier L2, which by the way, I'll have all the shades that I use linked down below. This is a pretty thick foundation. It's a pretty heavy duty honestly. It gives medium to full level of coverage and it looks like makeup on the skin. Not in a bad way, but I don't know. With Westminatilier, for some reason, I was expecting something more natural. This isn't natural, but it does sit really smooth on the skin. I do think it's a bit heavy for mature skin, but the way that the finishes, I think, will fill in the fine lines really nicely and leave a really smooth base, but it feels a bit heavy at the end of the day. It's not bad at all. I actually think it's a beautiful foundation, but it is very, very expensive. So, I hesitate to recommend this because around this price point, there are foundations that I like better. It's a good, beautiful foundation. If you want the look of like I'm wearing makeup and my skin is perfected and smoothed and hydrated, but with a lot of coverage, this will give it to you. And it also is kind of like a glowy finish. Not too glowy. Satin glowy hybrid. I would say it's gorgeous, but it's very expensive. And there are other foundations I recommend around this price point. But I have been enjoying this one. I'm not going to lie. For days that I want like coverage, it's been nice. Now, I feel like this is an underdog. I haven't heard a lot of people talk about this. This is the Drunk Elephant Camo Triple Peptide Cover Drop. So, this is actually formulated to be mixed in with their moisturizer and you can thin it out that way. But honestly, this foundation is so beautiful. I've loved it on its own. I did try it a couple times with a moisturizer. not their moisturizer because that one breaks me out, but just a K's moisturizer and it was pretty, but I think that this foundation is prettiest on its own. If you don't mind a little bit of extra coverage, it has this very plush cloud-like consistency. It just feels really really soft and lightweight and airy, but it gives about a medium level of coverage, and it wears pretty well. It's not the most amazing wear that I've experienced because it does break up a little bit around the mouth. It's kind of like a roller coaster with this because the wear the way it sits in the beginning is really really beautiful and then kind of in the middle of the day is when it starts to break up around the mouth and I'm like not that great wearing of a foundation but then it ends up hours later wearing down really gracefully. So then the wear quality goes up just a little bit because it does wear down very gracefully. So I think a bit prematurely it starts to break up but then as the day goes on it doesn't get too much worse than that. So, um, that's just my thoughts. I know that was a really big explanation, but I needed to share that. I really like this. I think this is underrated. And I'm like debating which one is prettier. They're different. This one is more lightweight, but I think because I hadn't heard anybody talking about this, I really wanted to mention this because it's really gorgeous. And then, of course, we have the Hung Veno red carpet skin. This is like a nice satin finish. This is absolutely gorgeous. I think it's a foundation that's going to work for all skin types. It looks really velvety on the skin. It has like a medium full coverage. Not quite reaching full, but medium full. It wears really, really nicely. It's pretty perfecting. A little bit goes a very long way with this. I noticed when I overapply it, it can look heavy. You only need a little bit to get a good amount of coverage because it really does give a high level of coverage. I really love this. I heard Nicola Rose say that this was the modernday Armani Luminous Silk. I haven't put them side by side to decide which one I like better, but I can definitely see the comparison. And then the last foundation that I have is the YSL Skin Affair Soft Glow Cushion Foundation. First of all, the standout for me on this is the packaging. I think that this packaging is absolutely gorgeous. If you do not like a glowy foundation, you will not enjoy this. A good one that came out around this time is the L'Oreal. It's much more affordable and it is more of a matte finish. For my dry skin, I do like a nice glow. This isn't a smoothing glow. Now, glow typically means it's not going to soften the pores or anything. So, I knew that going in. But just know this doesn't break that rule. But it it looks really really gorgeous on the skin. Honestly, I enjoy this. It's lightweight, but it has about a medium level of coverage and gives a pretty glow. It looks very healthy. So, I've enjoyed this. It's a luxury price point, so you know, you're paying for the packaging. You're paying for the name, but performance and everything is fantastic with this. I don't have a lot, if any, luxury cushion foundations. So, this is the best that I've tried. I mean, there's a lot of foundations to go over today, and I like so many for so many different reasons. I love the Hung for coverage. I love the Drunk Elephant for something that's a little bit higher in coverage, but also has versatility and feels lightweight on the skin. I like the Westminatilier because it's more heavy duty but glowy and really hides my freckles and whatnot and smooths over the skin. I like the Tower 28 for something a little bit more lightweight. I like the beauty of Joan because it's a tinted SPF and I think the YSL of this bunch is definitely the most glowy. But I'm thinking none of these really wear bad. I would say Beauty of Justan probably the worst and it's not even that bad. And sometimes Westpinilier can read a little heavy and Tarot 28's kind of middle of the road. The others were pretty good. Next up, I have this product which I think is really amazing, but there is a drawback here. So, these are the onesize ultimate color corrector stains. Very unique because they're very creamy, but they quickly set down and don't budge, which I think makes them really great as an under layer if you need some intense color correction. Because you know how sometimes when you color correct, you do the color correction first and then you put your foundation over top and it moves around underneath. If you struggle with that, you are going to need this because if you let it set, it is not going to move. Now, my favorite shade is the peach shade. The official name is ultra peach. This is the most beautiful color to color correct a little bit of blue right here in the inner corner. I think the pink is just a little bit too bright to do that. It's more brightening, but for actual color correction, I like to go peach. And again, since it doesn't budge, it's really great because it's actually hydrating. It doesn't dry you out, but it also doesn't budge. And I'm not a big lover of color correction. I don't do it often, but I actually really do enjoy this underneath like a lighter coverage concealer. And I'm sure it will be great for acne and all of that. I haven't really used the green one. The drawback to this is it stank. It smells funky. So, I remember the first time I used this. I like I was like, "What's that funky smell?" And then I smelled my brush and I was on the brush and then it was this. So, if you're very sensitive to smell smells like feet. A couple concealers. So, this first one is from Benefit. This is not new at all, but it had been in my drawer, so I thought I'd throw it in. This is the Porefessional concealer, and I really do like this. However, it is not flexible, you guys. So, I can't really recommend it. I like it because it does do a good job out here, you know, with the creasing and the fine lines when you smile. However, it's not very flexible in here. So, I don't know if you can see like just, you know, from doing this, it leaves permanent marks in here. So, it is a little bit dry, particularly in the inner corner because it does set down and it lasts a really great time. I do recommend this for oily skin, but I don't think it's very good for dry skin, but like I like it because it looks so good uh and wears so well with the smile lines, but for some reason it always looks really patchy and into the fine lines here. It just doesn't flex with my face. And then I've also been testing the new Marc Jacobs Nude Awakening concealer. I'm not impressed with this. I really wanted to be. I got the shade 135N. I don't like the packaging of it. It's cute. aesthetically, but it has this brush which I think holds too much product and there's a bunch of product that just gets all over the tube and not the spoolie. I don't even know what this is. The the applicator, the packaging is a mess. And then the concealer also just doesn't wear great. It spreads beautifully and when I first apply I think it looks really nice, but I always find at the end of the day all of my fine lines are showing and it it's not great in performance honestly. Like it's fine. I've continued to use it. I don't dislike it, but there's a lot of other concealers that I simply prefer. I've been testing the Artistry Sticks from Patrick Ta. I picked up three shades. The first one, Structure, I love to use to contour down my nose and underneath my lips. It's a very very natural color. And then I use spotlight, this brightening shade kind of in the middle of the nose, sometimes on the side, sometimes if I need to brighten an area. And then I have the shade shape, which I use today on the outskirts of my face. I think it's just a little bit too deep for like nose contour or anything. By far, if you love a nose contour, you need to try structure. If you're around my skin tone, blends beautifully. So, I really like this one. I did not need the darker shade because I don't like this product for the outskirts of my face. While I can make it work, it's you got to literally like draw it on. It's just too thin of an application. Um, and Spotlight's fine. I have a lot of products that work just like this. But honestly, Structure is my favorite nose contour shade ever. So, I love this one in particular. This is one that I absolutely would repurchase. The other shades I could do without, but they do perform well. They do blend out really easily. This is the least amount of blushes I've ever had in a speed reviews video in the last few years. But I did try the Armani Doi blushes. I did see some discourse online because they're like, "What? It's like the incorrect amount of product in here. You don't get much product for a big price point. I cannot confirm nor deny that. I'm just talking on the formula alone. This is a cream to powder balm formulation and it's really nice. It melts into the skin very beautifully. I don't think it's anything special. It's hard to create a special blush. There's so many blushes out there, but I do think this range is very beautiful. So, while I wouldn't say you need to get this blush formula, it's incredible. No, but I do want to share my favorite shade because for me, I would purchase this blush for this shade in particular. I think this is the most beautiful everyday natural anti blush. if you're into that trend. This is the shade number two. I think it's like caramel is the actual name. So, there is a hint of warmth to it. But this is such a natural caramel everyday blush. It doesn't really look like you're wearing blush. It's goes against the trend of that bright pink blush that's really popular right now and it blends in beautifully into the skin. So, while the formula isn't anything super special, this color has been an everyday go-to for me. It's one of my new favorite blush colors. So, I do recommend this. And then you saw I haven't tested this like a bunch a bunch. That Sephora video that I posted testing this, I had filmed it a while before I posted it, but I just I first of all, do not buy this blush from Prada. This is the cream to powder blush in the shade Wisteria. And I have mixed feelings on this formula. First of all, the packaging is awful. The formula, it can go really good or it can go really bad. Like for some reason today it looked broken up and really dry when I applied it. Now it's easily fixable with other products that I pair it with. Uh but I've had other days where I applied it and I think that it's beautiful. However, it's a Prada price point. It's very very cheap packaging. I know you they have that stupid bracelet thing. Whatever. I don't have the band. I'm just talking about the blush here. It is a true cream to powder formulation. It's kind of got that plush consistency to it, but when you warm your finger into it, it really is a cream. Blends out like a balm. Kind of a soft matte finish. It disagrees with some bases and looks really dry. I like it with other bases. Anyways, this color Wisteria, I mean, you have to know what you're getting into when you purchase a color like this, right? I'm not going to say, "Oh, I hate this. It's ugly." Like, look at the shade that you're getting. Uh, it can look surprisingly really pretty with the right products. But it's overpriced. That long story short, overpriced. I have three powders. So, this first one, one size, came out with like a new color range of their oh jeez, ultimate setting powders. And the shades that I kept for myself were cute lilac and baby pink. And I was worried particularly about the lilac shade that this was going to be a repeat of the ube birthday cake from Hoda Beauty which was straight purple on my under eye which is my own fault for falling for that trap. It was literally a purple powder. What do I expect to happen? So this one I was hesitant to try cute lilac. I was like, "Okay, this is going to be purple." And it actually is really pretty for my skin tone. It doesn't look purple, but it does give that brightness and a little bit of a hue, but it's actually flattering and works for my skin tone. I Today I did demo the shade baby pink. But you can see the video where I did demo cute lilac. So, I have a question. Why do I love this powder so much? Did they change the formula? Because I say this because when I wear this formula or these colors, I love this powder. It lasts all day. It stops my concealer from creasing. It doesn't look dry. It's very lightweight. It's basically the opposite of how I feel about some of the original powders that I have. I went to a wedding this weekend and I brought the older formulation or one of my older ones eye setting powders as my under eye powder because I've been loving these. But I'm not going to pack these. These are really big. And that powder made my under eye look dry. That was my original review of these. I said I think they're more for oily skin because they look a little dry on me. They're a little bit more heavy duty. So, that one did confirm it looked dryer on me. But for some reason, these shades, new formulation, question mark, because these I feel completely different about. They don't make my under eye look dry at all. They're very, very blurring. Honestly, these have been holding up better than my beloved Hooded Beauty. In fact, I've been liking this better than the Hooded Beauty. It's been stopping my concealer from creasing. So, if if you know, will you let me know? because these are amazing and I did not feel that way about some of the older ones that I have. I've also been testing, of course, the new Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Loose Setting Powder. I mean, this is like top of the game, top of the market setting powder, honestly. Uh it's right up there with my favorites as well. One size is Charlotte Tilbury. It has that blurring technology. It's very lightweight. It lasts a really long time. It's extremely blurring. I did a video testing this against other powders. It is highly competitive at the same caliber as my favorite setting powder. So, needless to say, I've been loving this. It's entered the everyday rotation. So, yeah. I mean, that's worth the hype for sure. And then the last powder that I've been using is a pressed powder. This is from Ilia. This is the soft focus finishing powder, and it's very Hourglassesque in that it's this baked formulation. I got the shade light translucent. Honestly, I don't really care for this powder. For me, I'd much rather just reach for an Hourglass ambient finishing powder. I feel like the Hourglass is a better veil over the skin. It blends all the cheek colors together. This to me just kind of feels like an extra step. I've been using it to finish off my makeup. I've been using it to touch up my makeup and I haven't been overly impressed with it. It's fine. It does the job of setting the makeup without mattifying the face. But sometimes I feel like this color kind of sits on my face and makes me look a little ashy. For me, it's just like a why use this when the Hourglass exists. And then the very last complexion product that I have is from one size. This is the Until Dawn Bronze Veil setting spray. Caramel Glow. Seems like a gimmick to me. It's actually incredible. It is incredible. It does add this bronze veil over the skin. If you're somebody who self-tans or you just love that bronze look, it's very natural. It's very subtle. I've seen you can build it up. I just do a little bit of a spray and I see the instant bronze glow to my face and then of course it is the one size formula. So your makeup is rainproof. Maybe not necessarily with this because I'm not like putting a ton on. I just want that bronzed veil over the skin. So, it will help with longevity, but not so much as if you use the original and just put it everywhere. It's just as potent, if not more potent than the original. Like, it makes my eyes burn. But for this bronze glow, I've been putting up with it. This is incredible. It is not a gimmick, you guys. It really does the job of putting that gorgeous glowing bronze veil all over the face, gorgeous all over the body. Just burns my eye a little bit. But beauty, beauty is pain, right?
