Video summary
The video features a 72-year-old content creator sharing her current favorite makeup products, emphasizing that she has personally purchased almost all of them except for one gifted item. She begins with the IT Cosmetics Do It All Balm in light neutral, which she praises for its sheer, water-like texture that provides natural coverage without feeling heavy or cakey. Unlike full-coverage foundations, this balm allows her skin to breathe while offering enough pigment to even out tone, and she notes that it remains intact throughout the day without needing frequent touch-ups. She also highlights a budget-friendly alternative to the discontinued Mally Poreless Age Defender: the Catrice Shine Eraser Gel-to-Powder, which she discovered through another beauty influencer. This $8 product effectively controls shine on exfoliated skin and works just as well as the expensive original without disturbing underlying makeup.
Addressing a significant skincare issue she faced with peeling eyelids, the creator shares her journey of trying various remedies like castor oil and Vaseline before finding success with Bee Naturals Queen Bee Peep Keeper Eyelid Balm. This beeswax-based ointment healed her dry, flaking lids within a week, allowing her to wear eye makeup comfortably again. She also showcases the Lisa Eldridge Liquid Silk Eyeshadow in the shade Sylvia, a product she received as a gift from her sister. She describes it as a magical one-and-done solution that smooths out wrinkles on mature eyelids without requiring a primer or setting powder. Additionally, she raves about Glam Girl Gabby's eyeliners designed for mature eyes, particularly the steel gray and champagne bronze shades, which glide smoothly onto the skin and stay in place all day thanks to their built-in brushes.
Moving on to lip care and color, the creator expresses her love for drugstore options that offer high performance at affordable prices. Her top picks include the ELF Glow Reviver lipsticks in Mauve Mentality and Vine and Shine, which she praises for their glossy finish, comfortable wear, and attractive magnetic packaging. She also recommends Morphe Lip Lock Lipsticks, specifically the shade Tied Knot, noting their exceptional longevity and moisturizing properties that last up to six hours with just one swipe. For lip hydration, she is particularly fond of the Edem Peptide Lip Balm in Fig Sauce, which she considers a worthy dupe for the discontinued Bite Agave Lip Mask due to its luxurious feel and superior applicator. She concludes by mentioning her habit of discarding mascaras monthly to prevent bacterial growth, currently using the Kosas So Gazer Mascara for its sensitivity-friendly formula and lack of flaking.
Throughout the video, the creator maintains a humble and practical approach to beauty, often crediting other influencers like Tamara from Tamara's Timeless Beauty and Laura Rae Beauty for introducing her to these hidden gems. She explains that while she used to try many new products, she now sticks with items that genuinely work for her aging skin, avoiding unnecessary clutter in her routine. The video also serves as a personal update where she reaches out to a viewer named Terry Sanchez regarding a gift card claim and invites others to contact her via email for similar opportunities. She expresses her desire to return to creating "chatty" get-ready-with-me videos despite finding them challenging, as she typically prefers quiet moments during makeup application. Overall, the content reflects a mature perspective on beauty that prioritizes comfort, simplicity, and effectiveness over trends or full coverage.

Good morning. I don't remember the last
time I did a makeup favorite video. And
with the exception of one item,
everything today is makeup and I am
wearing everything on my face today.
These items I have purchased myself.
They haven't been sent to me except for
the eyeshadow and it was a gift from my
oldest sister and I've had it since last
winter. I'm going to talk about the
makeup that I have really been enjoying
and I also want to I need to get in
touch with one of my winners that hasn't
been able to get in touch with me and
I'll do that toward the end. The first
item is from It Cosmetics and I haven't
bought a lot of It Cosmetics recently,
but I am so glad I bought this. This is
the It Do It All Balm
and I have mine in light neutral and
I'll tell you exactly why I bought it.
The minute I saw Tamara from Tamara's
Timeless Beauty put it on, I knew that I
I wanted to try it. It is sheer. I'm
wearing it today. I don't have on any
powder. I apply a small amount on my BK
Beauty Nikki La Rose in 19
and I just go into it, dab it in the
areas that need it
and then I will go with my Angie Hot and
Flashy uh
Paul Kitten Paul brush. It's I think
number 506
and put it right in my inner corners
right here. That's where I'm the darkest
and it just gives to me the right amount
of coverage. The older I get,
the more I do not want full coverage. It
feels wet when you put it on. It It's
just an interest There was a lipstick
that did this and I can't remember what
it was, but it was something I bought
one time and you put it on and it felt
wet. It felt like water.
It goes on so easily and I just really
like it.
I have given away a quite a few of my
foundations. I'm lucky in the fact that
I usually know somebody that can use
what I'm not using because once I find
something like this
that's so easy,
I tend to stick with it. That's why you
don't really learn about a whole lot of
new products for me. It has never
gathered in any of my lines
and I would say
I mean, I don't need anything to last
more than 8 hours
but I've always when I've cleansed my
face at night, it always looks good. I
usually use the BK Beauty 101 brush for
foundation but with this light coverage,
I just need that smaller brush that
works so well.
I think it sells for $34. I know I
bought mine the first part of April and
I found it for 30% off and you can
usually find a sale on It Cosmetics
somewhere.
And I try to put I put links below. I
don't know anything about the YouTube
shopping. I know sometimes they'll stick
things in there but what I try to do is
put links to somewhere that they have
sales. So, I'll put it in the
information below and also in my pinned
comment. And if I can, I'll put it on an
Amazon link, too, cuz sometimes that's
just easier for somebody to go look it
over and see if it's something they're
interested in.
Those of you who have been here a while,
I think the first year I was doing
YouTube videos, I found out about Mally
Poreless Age Defender or Line Defender
or something like that. It's a clear
product
and I I bought I think I bought three of
them
and they were wonderful.
Well, it got hard to find and I was
watching Laura Rae from Laura Rae
Beauty. I had tried several dupes, and
and none of them worked, but Laura Rae
was using something from Catrice, and
I've talked about this on a video
before, but I love it, and it has worked
so well through the summer. And
sometimes if I'm not wearing foundation,
but because
I guess because I keep my skin
exfoliated,
it kind of it shines. And so I use a
wedge and the Catrice
Shine Eraser Gel-to-Powder,
and I love it, and I'll demonstrate how
it works. What you need to do, you put
You can probably use your fingers, you
could probably use a brush, but I like a
little wedge, and I just go in and dab
it and get just a little on there, and I
just press it wherever it needs to be
pressed, and it has just really been
as good as the Mally, and this was $8,
and I bought it from Amazon. It doesn't
come with the wedges, but you can find
these anywhere. It's just like a little
velvet wedge. A a powder puff probably
would work. I'm I haven't tried that,
but this is really a winner, and I'm so
glad that Laura Rae
talked about it and I bought it because
like I said, I had tried some dupes.
They weren't dupes, but but this is
every bit as good and for $8 you can't
beat it.
It doesn't disturb anything underneath.
It it never has for me cuz I dab it, I
don't rub it.
And something else I found out from
Laura Rae, and I'm not picking
favorites. These are just things that I
have purchased because
of some people that I watch. I was
having problems with my eyelids.
In May, they it peeling, and I mean
peeling. I couldn't wear it, you know, I
said I hadn't worn makeup very much.
Well, one of the reasons I had peeling
eyelids.
Well, I quit, you know, making I made
sure that I didn't put Retin-A anywhere
close to my eyelids. It wasn't
underneath, it was just on top.
I tried everything. I quit using things.
I started I used Aquaphor Healing
Ointment. It didn't do anything. I tried
castor oil. I have the good castor oil
in the dark glass bottle.
It didn't help. I try I mean, I would
try it for
several days.
I tried just plain old Vaseline.
And then I remember Lora Ray talking
about and I've got to look down cuz I've
got to read it from the thing.
The Bee Naturals Queen Bee
Peeper Keeper Eyeball.
Well, Lora Ray always used it underneath
her eyes.
And I thought to I looked up all the
ingredients. All it is is all different
kinds of oil and beeswax. It's beeswax
and it had no water.
So, it literally within 2 days, it
started easing up.
And probably within a week, my eyelids
were
not peeling anymore. It has a hole in it
because I had used I have some eye
contact lens holders
and I wanted one in my purse. I wanted
this in my purse and I wanted it in my
living room and this is in my dressing
room.
So, I scooped out some and put it in the
little contact lens container and I
learned that from Ellis for Living. I
thought that was a great tip. So, I just
used the brush and dabbed it on and now
I can use eye shadow and I I'm very
happy. I don't know why I don't I don't
know why it happened. The whole peeling
episode lasted about 2 months, but I
will make sure I always have the Be
Naturals. And this I think is around
$20, and I bought it on Amazon. And if I
start to see any dryness at all on my
upper lids or anywhere, I will I will
use that.
The one item I didn't buy myself I I
I want to buy another one. But this is
from my oldest sister, and she's the one
that introduced me at an early age
to that more expensive makeup.
Well, I love Lisa Eldridge. I think she
is fantastic, and I love her videos.
She's
does She's just such an interesting,
beautiful person, and her makeup I've
had lipstick, lip gloss, lip pencils.
All of them were gifts
um
in the past and that I that I love. And
she's from the UK. I know that you can
buy her products here, but I I think you
have to do it online or go to a pop-up.
Well, my sister got me the liquid silk
liquid eyeshadow. And the shade this is
is Sylvia, and it's the only thing I
have on my lids. What is wonderful about
it, it makes your lids smooth, and I'll
put some on the back of my hand and so
you can see how liquid it is.
And I tell you what, it just
smooths out beautifully. It doesn't hang
up in any wrinkles. It just makes it
more of a smooth canvas. It's a one and
done. I don't have anything else on. I
don't need to use a primer, and I don't
need to put anything over it. But I love
it, and I want to order it in some more
shades. And if I do order another one,
I'll let you know because I really do
think this is magical and I think it's
$38
for one thing of eye shadow. There's a
channel I watch and the channel name is
Glam Girl Gabby. She came out with
eyeliners for mature beauties. I watched
her and several other people demonstrate
them
and even though they didn't have navy
blue,
I ordered some and I ordered all five.
And I'm just going to show you three of
them. The black and the chocolate brown
are going to go to a friend of mine
because I I really won't use them. I
really only use, as a rule, navy blue
and Victoria Beckham's still my favorite
navy blue, but hopefully
I like these so well, I'm hoping that
Gabby comes out with another color.
I'm going to go ahead and just show you
one of them. There is a brush right
here. But right there, there is a shade
of the pencil and this one is the steel
gray. Having this brush attached to it
is so handy. When I want to put on my
eyeliner, I open both ends and I'll
demonstrate this on my hand.
It is so smooth.
And you have time
to work with it. When you put it like
today, I have on the brown and I just
put it right here on the the outer sides
and I took the brush and brought it in
all the way in, but once it set, it
won't move anywhere. And I used the dark
brown as liner and underneath my
eyelashes, I used the champagne bronze
and I'll swatch that for you. And you
can go to I'll put a link to Gabby's
channel so you can actually see some
good swatches. But this is a
That's not a bad shade. That's not a bad
swatch.
That's the champagne bronze and it has a
little bit of a glimmer to it. So,
that's a champagne champagne bronze,
the dark brown, and the steel gray.
And I really, really think these are
excellent. And I think they sell for $25
a piece.
She does have sales, and sometimes, like
if you order several, you'll get a less
expensive. But, she did a great job, and
it does not budge. For years and years,
I used Superhero
mascara, and I bought it from QVC. I
think it usually sold in like $24 or
something like that, but I'd always get
them when they had specials, and
sometimes I paid as little as $8 for
one.
Well, probably about 18 months ago, they
quit doing that, and you can't you can't
find it on QVC, and I think a tube now
is like $28.
Well, it made me interested in trying
other mascaras, and I will in an
upcoming video talk about other mascaras
I've tried the last 18 months.
Well, when my eyes got so sensitive with
the
um
peeling,
I bought something from Kosas, and it's
called Kosas So Gazer Mascara.
It is supposed to be for sensitive eyes.
I love the wand. It works really well
with my lashes.
And
although right now my lashes I hadn't
been using growth serum on them since
like May,
but this is 10 swipes.
10 swipes, and it just builds up very
quickly.
It does not flake. I bought the small
size, just the
I think it was $17,
but I throw my mascaras away the first
day of every month. So, this one's going
to be going bye-bye, or else I'll put
this in my empties, because nothing is
worth it to me to get something going on
with my eyes. I don't want to have any
problems, and mascara is one of those
areas, you know, you you use it on your
lashes, and your lashes I know were
clean, and you put it back in here, and
it's a and it's a wet, dark area,
and I have just seen people that have
had bad eye infections because so that's
just like one of my rules.
With the other things I do the first day
of every new season is um I just throw
away my mascara, but I really do like
it. I would repurchase it. I have It
doesn't come in brown. It just comes in
black.
And I don't I've tried brown mascaras
before, and I just didn't like them on
me. That to me that they just it just
didn't look very good. That mean I won't
try them in the future, but I have loved
this mascara from Kosas.
It looks as good at the end of the day
as it does in the beginning. It that
that didn't smudge at all,
and it dries quickly, and it's supposed
to have some lash serum in it. I don't
Now I'm going to talk about my favorite
category, and that is lips.
And the two first two I'm going to talk
about I don't have on today, and they're
drugstore. Both of my lipsticks are
drugstore. It's kind of to make up No,
what not to make up for anything because
I love the Lisa Eldridge eyeshadow, and
I love these lipsticks that I'm going to
be talking about. The first one is from
Elf, and here are the tubes, and they
are magnetic.
And the shades are beautiful. These are
Elf Glow Reviver lipsticks,
and they're $10, and they are really
good lipsticks.
I will purchase them again. I purchased
the first one in Mauve Mentality.
I liked it so much that I ordered
another one.
This is Mauve Mentality and then I
bought it in Vine Vine and Shine. V I N
E and Shine. And there they are swapped
swatched. Mauve Mentality Vine and
Shine. And they're glossy. And they last
a little while not a long time but they
do last a while and they're just really
comfortable to put back on easy. And
their packaging could not be more
attractive. So
I love the $10 lipsticks from Elf. And
the other lipsticks are from Morphe and
this is the first Morphe product I have
ever tried.
And I was watching Tamara from Tamara's
Timeless Beauty. This was another time
she had received all of the Morphe
lipsticks or she bought them I don't
remember but I love them. I thought they
were absolutely beautiful. I saw how
effortless they were to put on.
And they are long-lasting.
I bought and what's interesting
usually
what if the shade that Tamara wears like
with foundation or like if she tries on
blushes or lipsticks usually whatever
looks good on her looks good on me and
our coloring isn't the same. But I knew
I wanted Tied Knot and that's what I
have on today. And you do not need a lip
liner but I do have on Dangerous Dolly
from Buxom. I I put that on and I I just
like to wear it. I I don't overline my
lips.
But I put this on. I've had my makeup on
probably 2 hours and I have not touched
up the lipstick at all. And it will last
I am guessing 6 hours. It is so
comfortable.
Like one swipe and another swipe. You
don't have to build it up. You could
build it up. I think I'll put a little
bit more on.
Oh, it just feels good. These are $15.
The packaging isn't as good as the Elf,
but it's not bad at all. But, these are
the best lipsticks I've tried in
probably a year. I just really like
them. I bought one that is a little bit
warm. I'll go ahead and swatch them.
This is what I'm wearing. It's called
Tied Knot. And this is Heart Riveting.
And I think you can see that it has is a
little bit warmer. And I but I will have
another occasion to wear it, I'm sure.
But, they are so moisturizing. The color
lasts so long. I will definitely
repurchase. And the last lipstick was
called Morphe Lip Lock Lipstick. And and
it's a good one. And for anybody out
there who loved Bite Agave Lip Mask,
like I loved Bite Agave Lip Mask, I have
found something that is so close to it
that since it's been so long since I've
used it, I think it's a dupe. And it's
from Edem, E A D E M. I don't know if
that's how you pronounce it.
But, this is their
Peptide Lip Balm. And I love it. It has
a really nice applicator.
Better than Bite Agave, for sure. And
this color is Fig Sauce,
which is right there.
It's a cool mauve. It doesn't look like
it there. It's kind of next to the
eyeliner.
But, it feels like a million dollars on
my lips. I have a clear one that I will
use at night. It is my favorite lip
balm. I mean, the Bite Agave was, and I
have tried so many. And I absolutely
love this. I love the way it makes my
lips feel and I will repurchase it. I
think it's $24.
And I don't know if you can get it
anywhere other than Sephora. I'm usually
an Ulta shopper because I do love their
deals. I get really great deals on Ulta.
Watch out for the 10 times points if you
get a
a email for 10 time point 10 times
points. If there's something you're
needing, that's a good time to buy it. I
did receive PR from several different
companies last winter, early spring that
I accepted. They contacted me and they
did not want I didn't have to do
anything. And I tried them all and I
will do an upcoming video on on PR to
see what lovely companies have reached
out to somebody who's going to be 73
next month and wants let me to try their
products and not ask for even a mention,
you know, and and I really do appreciate
that. So that's an upcoming video.
And every year somewhere around my
birthday, I do a get ready with me. And
I want to try to do that. I am not on my
game. I'm really not. But I want to try
to get back on my game and get my
mojo going again. I I I um
It's just been kind [clears throat] of
hard.
But if you can think I what I'd like to
do is do a chatty get ready with me
where I talk about something and that's
really hard for me to do because
makeup time was always kind of my peace
time. I always did it by myself in
quiet. And I really admire the people
like Mary Glitzy Fritzy who can talk
through anything [clears throat] and uh
in her get ready with me. I kind of keep
going back to the products that I'm
using.
And I before I forget, I want to tell
Terry Sanchez, if you haven't gotten in
touch with me, you claimed your gift,
and I sent you my email address, but I
didn't send it in a clickable link, cuz
sometimes those go to spam.
So, what I want you to do is I'm going
to put my email address up here,
and just send me an email, and in the
subject line, put $100 winner,
and I'll make sure that you get what
kind of an e-gift card you want, or a
Venmo, or PayPal.
But, it is all good. I will be back, God
willing, on the last Sunday of the
month. This is an extra video.
I'm going to try to do one twice a
month, and uh
we'll see how that goes. I will see you
in my next video, and take care.
The week, we'll see.
Mine of I Oh, no, she didn't. In fact, I
have not I'm just really
In fact, I have not
I'm just really [music]
And I went into it, but it lasted about
2 months.
I told you my sis Well, and if I do,
I'll tell you about it.
said have uh
