Hey guys, Bart here from Drum History Podcast. Uh, I am very excited today to show you my brand new electronic drum set that I just got from my friends at Donner. They sent this over. I was in the market for an electronic kit and we partnered up and they sent this to me. I've been playing it for the last week and I absolutely love it. This is a Donner DED 2000X four symbol setup. This thing sounds absolutely fantastic. So, the reason I wanted to get an electronic set is because I have kids. it. Right now, it's it's 9:51 p.m. and I can still play as loud and as hard as I want and it's not going to wake anyone up. That's obviously one of the big benefits of electronic drum sets. So, before we talk about it a little bit more about, you know, kind of my impression of this drum set and and and my experience with electronic drum sets and how easy it was to set up and all that good stuff, let's play a little bit. I'm going to show you the first drum set that's on this module, which is super nice, and then we'll go from there. >> [music] [music] >> So, the setup on this drum set was super easy. It took me probably about 30 minutes all in. If you're new to the drums, this might take you a little bit longer. Follow the instructions. Once you get the feel for it of setting up the rack, then it's very easy and it's very plug-andplay. The module, the the snare, I will say if you're setting it up, the snare pad is a little bit different because it has a rim on it which you can get different tones out of with that. The other three toms are are identical. And then the um symbols are labeled on the bottom. The module itself, you plug in the wire harness on the bottom and then out of that is a very clearly labeled it. You just literally plug and play high hat, crash one, crash two, uh, ride, bass, drum, high hat, controller. It couldn't be easier. On the module itself, there's a bunch of different sounds. I believe there's 31 sounds. You get some really cool ones like this. >> [music] [music] >> So, you get some cool musical tones there. Let's try another one. Let's go further in. There's drum and bass. [music] Different parts of the pads [music] make different sounds. So, it's really responsive. One thing that I plan to use a lot is the click function because no matter how I've played the drums for 30 years, you can never practice to a click enough. So, it' be something like this. Get the click going. [music] >> [music] >> So, you can change the tempo. Obviously, there's songs in here. There's all kinds of things. There's a coach. There's different settings you can do where you can affect each individual drum. You can record, you can play it back. The amount of stuff you get in this drum set is is very cool. Is going to be a great drum set for me, but also I feel confident that my kids can learn on this and have fun and also play with headphones on and be quiet because drums are loud.
