Is The WWE Women’s Championship Cursed...Chelsea Green Is Now Injured

But we're going to check out and see what Chelsea had to say for herself involving her injury. >> Hey guys. Um, so I was trying to keep this kind of [clears throat] private, but the internet knows everything, so I thought I'd come on here and clear um clear things up. I did get injured last night. Stuff happens. It's live television. It's wrestling. It's an occupational hazard. Um, [clears throat] I ended up in the emergency room and I have a broken orbital bone. >> It looks amazing all things considered. Um, it feels awful but looks pretty amazing. I have no idea what that means for me. You know, usually you guys have seen me like play into every single injury. Um, but like this feels different. Obviously, this feels very different. It feels frustrating. I'm upset. I feel like if I didn't have bad luck, I've had I'd have no luck at all. Um, so I just need to take a little bit more time to like process and to kind of heal from obviously like the head trauma that is going on right now. Um, and then >> damn, man. >> We're just going to take it day by day. So, world domination continues. We've just had a minor blip. I like the her being optimistic, man. I do. Fact that she's being optimistic about the whole situ situation. I I do appreciate that. The only problem is I think the writing's on the wall. Uh I think you guys can kind of tell where this could possibly end up leading to. Um, even before the injury, like I said earlier in the video, the way they had her get pinned in that match on Smackdown, you're a WWE women's champion getting pinned as soon as she gets the belt. The writing was on the wall then. You can you can tell, okay, she's not going to be holding this title that long. And then with Nia Jax coming into the mix, I do think she's probably going to end up being a transitional champion. and Nia Jax will end up, you know, taking the title from her. Granted, we don't know, you know, the status of, you know, what she's going to be able to do with that uh um orbital broken orbital bone. Maybe they could have her wearing a face covering. That's something they could do depending on how severe it is. Not sure, especially if she's feuding with Nia. Y'all know Nia got some heavy hands, so I don't know if that would be the best option either. Um, but it does seem even before the injury that they weren't going to have the title on her long. Um, and with Nia being inserted into the mix, uh, I can definitely see that, you know, her dropping the title relatively soon. Now, with this injury, she may be forced to relinquish the title, and that's going to be also unfortunate. Yeah, she ended up, you know, winning it at SummerSlam and she was the interim champion and then we found out that Ria Ripley had surgery on her knee. So, she's going to be gone for quite some time. So, they took the interim part off and now she's the official WWE Women's Champion only to lose, get pinned on Smackdown and then get injured on that same episode. And now this could be a situation where she is forced to relinquish the belt. um depending on the severity of it, what WWE's willing to do there. And you know, Nia Jax could be the new women's champion. And here's the thing about that. If they were to take the title off of Chelsea, which I see that coming in relatively soon, um I'm not really looking forward to Nia being champ. Only if it leads to something to maybe Lash Legend uh feuding with her. Maybe. I'm personally not looking forward to it, but maybe there's some other people that would like to see Nia as champion again. Me, I'm kind of like, h [clears throat] it's not moving the needle for me. Um, but I think this is just unfortunate, bro. She She's had some pretty bad luck. And not to mention the people in the back. It's the people in the back that, you know, kind of control her destiny in the company. And the fact that Michael Hayes has come out and actively said she's not one of the top people in our business. She's just there to enhance other talent only for her to finally get to that moment and get the title then get injured right afterwards and be booked to lose, you know, after winning the title, getting pinned. It's just like there's a lot of external forces that just, you know, be kind of hindering Chelsea Green. But the one thing I can say, she she stays positive. She seems positive in this situation and ultimately, you know, trying to make the best of it. And it was cool to see so many fans dress up like her and and give her give her some love. But I also understand that with WWE, if you're not one of their favorites, they they'll give you a bone, but that's about it. And then afterwards, you know, the questionable booking happens and ultimately you end up even though you're supposed to be the guy or the girl now cuz you have the title. If they don't really back you, you can have it's just a placeholder. Hey, here you go. we got this for you until you know somebody else, you know, gets better like a aka Ria Ripley or we'll just substitute you for somebody else that we want to have on the roster for Ria to come back and beat. I don't know. It's that's just how it is in WWE. It's been like that for a long time, even before uh Vince McMahon left. So, this is nothing new. But hey, I'm wishing her a speedy recovery. It's something about this women world uh women's uh WWE Championship. It's just man like [clears throat] man Maria getting hurt with it now. Uh Chelsea getting hurt with it. The women's division on Smackdown is you know they're trying to find something you know to kind of build it up. Uh but it's you know injuries is also you know it's been a been a a issue for sure and hopefully they can get things squared away on the Smackdown side of things but with Chelsea Green a speedy recovery. Hopefully she doesn't have to drop the title too soon. But the way WWE is, oh, you're injured. This gives us more of a reason to put the title on somebody else. Like, you know how they are. You've seen it before. We've seen it with like people like Dolph Ziggler. He got injured and they was like, "All right, well, we're gonna have to go ahead and get the title off of you." And he never saw the world title scene ever again. It It sucks. It's really unfortunate. They be like, "You get injured, that's it. You're you're cooked." They ain't really We ain't going to give you another chance. It's It's unfortunate. But hey, comment down below. Let me know what do you guys think they should do with Chelsea's injury. Should they allow her to keep the title? Uh maybe wear a face mask or some face covering or do y'all think um they'll have her drop the title ultimately to like Nia Jax relatively quick because of this injury?
