Man, honestly, I wouldn't be surprised and I'd be happy for him because [music] WWE literally has this guy planking on production crates for six plus months. So, if he wants to leave and he's able to leave, I say, hey, go somewhere where they'll probably actually use you. But, we're going to check this out. Let's get right into it, man. Now, first story looks at a wrestler suffering a medical emergency during a match. At the Ring of Honor Death Before Dishonor main event briefly came to a halt when Athena was suddenly forced to deal with a serious issue outside the ring. Footage from the event showed the Ring of Honor women's world champion down on the floor with Billy Starks and a member of the staff checking on her and providing an inhaler. At the time, the reason for the interruption wasn't immediately clear, but then Athena later revealed what happened, explaining that she suffered an asthma attack during a championship match against Hizuki. Athena mentioned on X, "Yeah, so I had an asthma attack mid-match. Glad my minions had my back. A major thank you to AW Ring of Honor staff for the quick response, keeping the Ring of Honor Champ in peak condition." Now, the revelation gives a footage an entirely different context, especially because the match didn't even end there. Despite the medical scare, she returned to the fight and continued battling Hizuki. She eventually hit the OAC to secure the victory and successfully retained the Ring of Honor Women's World Championship, recording her 38th successful title defense. Her title defenses actually lasted longer than Roman Reigns's. And if you didn't know, Athena is not the only one who suffers asthma in the ring. This was a big issue for Batista during his run in the WWE. Batista would need his inhaler during matches and it was stored under the ring. Next up is Johnny Gaga. >> Hey, shout out to the speedy, you know, response cuz that's a serious thing, man. Like if your asthma flare up, you can actually die from that. So, the fact that they got out there, gave her inhaler, and she was able to continue the match, it's really impressive. Shout out to Athena. Shout out to everyone involved making that situation, you know, better. So, shout out to them, man. done with WWE. And Johnny Gagano's character in WWE has been an absolute mess. He hasn't wrestled a match in many months and now all he's doing is lying down on television looking depressed. It's clear that WWE has zero plans for him and now things have taken a bit of a dramatic change as on his ex account, Johnny Gagano has removed all mention of WWE in his bio as well as in his Twitter handle. It also mentions that he's accepting bookings. Only just recently, Johnny Gagano shared a WWE'se's video of his return to the company after 4 years in 2022. So, was this now a hint that he's completely done with the company and his contract has now run out? What do you guys think? [music] Next up, TK. >> I hope so. Get him out of there. They're not doing nothing with him. Get him out of there, bro. That way he can go do what he loves. Get him out of there, bro. It sucks. It really does suck. Once Tomaso left, he was cooked and they literally had they could have gave him something, but they just didn't give a damn and said, "Hey, just lay on some production crates with your wife trying to get you out of it and we're going to leave it at that." That's it. Was spotted at AW Dynamite had some unexpected visitors last week and they weren't part of the advertised show. The 12th August episode of Pearl Theater in Las Vegas reportedly had TKO reps in attendance. According to Brian Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer, he mentioned there were TKO reps at Dynamite last week. I think they're just checking it out. They weren't comped, obviously. Alvarez also clarified that the visit wasn't connected to a secret business meeting, a potential merger or any attempt to tamper with AW talent. The TKO reps were simply there to get a firstirhand look at AW's live television product and experience the show for themselves. The report also noted that AW management reportedly didn't know the TKO reps were there until after the show, which would have been a big surprise. I'm sure seeing the representative from the companies that oversees WWE and UFC inside an AEW show is naturally going to raise some questions. I'll say this and I know this will never probably happen and I hope it don't happen but say for the sake of just creating a horrible alternate timeline where TKO are so greedy they want to own all the majority companies of professional wrestling say for whatever reason they found a way to acquire AEW. We're all doomed. All of us are doomed. I mean, absolutely all of us, the major companies, at least AW and and WWE owned by TKO. Oh my god, [laughter] that would be horrible. Absolutely horrid. They would, man, they would spike those damn ticket sales for a AEW show through the roof. There'll be ads all over the map. It would be egregious. >> [laughter] >> In another timeline, Tail owns all of professional wrestling. In another timeline, I'm not going to lie to you. [laughter] Next up, Kevin Owens breaks his silence on his loss. And Kevin Owens clearly isn't ready to move on from what happened on Smackdown this week. And his latest comment suggests that the loss has only made things more personal. At a subsequent WWE live event, Owens addressed the defeat and made it clear that he still believes the undisputed WWE Championship should be his. I was screwed out of winning that championship. What happened to me is a travesty, a tragedy. I was hoping when I showed up here tonight, I was hoping to have a shiny WWE Championship around my waist. Nah, nah, not around my waist. It wouldn't really fit over my shoulder. I was hoping I'd have it over my shoulder, but Sammy ruined those plans. Now, Owens clearly hasn't accepted Punk as the rightful champion, and he's placing the blame squarely on Sami Zayn for preventing him from leaving Smackdown with the title. Now, the bigger question is what happens when he finally confronts Sami Zayn on next week's [music] show. Next up, Tony Connor. Here's an interesting thing, and I thought someone that brought this to my attention on Instagram, uh the homie Cornelius, uh and someone brought this to his attention. If you really think about it, this is a full circle moment with Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens because if you guys remember, Sami Zayn was at the match when um KO was going against um Cody Rhodess. I think that was at the Royal Rumble if I'm not mistaken. in that ladder match for the WWE Championship, he was there and he didn't stop uh um Cody Rhodess from packing him up. And from then they ended up having their feud, I believe, at Elimination Chamber, that unsanctioned match because Kevin Owens felt like Sammy betrayed him because he didn't help him when he needed him. Now the roles are reversed. Sammy comes out there to help Kevin win the title. Now he's actually actively helping him win the title now, but Kevin doesn't want to win it that way. And then Sammy portrays him. And I find that very funny how the roles of switch cuz Kevin Owens a while back would have loved for Sammy Zayn to help, but now he didn't want to help. He wanted to do it a different way. Circumstances have changed. I thought that was a very interesting story that they can hopefully bring up uh in these upcoming weeks. >> Is Ilia Dragunov's potential AW future and Tony Khan has now addressed the possibility of AW bringing in Ilia Dragunov following the former WWE stars departure from the company during the Ring of Honor Death before Dishonor post show media scrum. Khan was asked whether he had any interest in signing Dragunov. I'm not sure about the contractual status but that's a tremendous wrestler. I don't know what his contractual status is, and I can't keep track of that for people that don't work here, but he's a tremendous wrestler. Now, the timing makes Khan's response particularly interesting. Dragunov's WWE contract expired on August 20th, meaning now he's a free agent and notably is not subject to the traditional 90-day non-compete period. That gives Dragunov the freedom to explore his Next Destination immediately, with AW naturally becoming one of the promotions worth watching. however, can't stop short of confirming that any discussions have taken place and his comments shouldn't be interpreted as a confirmation of an AEW deal. There's been many wrestlers who have had issues with Triple H over the years, and former WWE star Paul London's issues with Triple H go back nearly two decades. But the story behind the infamous WWE segment may explain why the former tag team champion still remembers it so vividly. Speaking of rewind, recap, relive, London was asked about the night he and Brian Kendrick came up to Triple H's aid only for the game to turn on him and deliver pedigrees. But before revisiting that moment, however, London made it clear that his opinion of Triple H hasn't softened with time. And it's a problem that he has even today. Hunter's like one of the most insecure people you'll ever come across, which is probably why he got into bodybuilding because he's pathetic. Just he's not a good person. And so he hides behind all this You know what I mean? like a fake body and like a fake personality and like a fake, oh yeah, we're on the same team. Oh yeah, it's for your best interest. Like he's just such a snake. London then recalled arriving in Columbus, Ohio for Raw with Kendrick and unexpectedly finding Triple H waiting for them. And according to London, that was unusual because Triple H wasn't normally someone who went out of his way to spend time with the pair. What he told him got really strange. He revealed that he'll be involved in something later that night, but London remembers Triple H repeatedly emphasizing that the idea had come from Kevin Dunn, not from him. And we're going to be doing something today on TV. It's going to be live, but we're going to be working today. Wasn't my idea. Just remember, it's Kevin Dunn's idea. Wasn't my idea, by the way, but we're going to be doing the thing later. We'll get with you guys later, but it'll be, you know, it'll be good. I think it's going to be good again. I think it's going to be again. It wasn't my idea. It was Kevin Dunn's idea. Like, I was just like, "What the f?" London and Kendrick eventually came to Triple H's aid, only for them to turn on both men and hit them with pedigrees. London viewed the angle as burying the two of them and later calling Triple H a coward. But now, 20 years later, it's clear that the backstage conversations is what made the segment so memorable for London. Triple H's repeated instance that it wasn't his idea, followed by what happened once the camera started rolling clearly left a lasting impression. But it's not just the insecurities that are the problem with Triple H. It's also what they're looking for in WWE. And what they're looking for right now is just viral moments. According to Fightful Select, it was stressed to Fightful that WWE is looking to get some viral moments emerge from their live events, even if they're basic talent interactions. And that would explain some of the unusual moments that have certainly resurfaced from WWE house shows, whether it was LA Night and Ober Fei doing Ober's signature struck before hitting LA's gesture, Cody Rhodess and CM Punk double kissing Dan Hen on the cheeks, or more recently Grayson Waller calling Zilla Fatu Nepo at the 15th NXT live event. WWE'se's already produced several moments perfectly suited for their social media. That's all WWE seems to be looking for nowadays is those viral moments, those out of >> That's that's what it is now. Instead of just letting the moments happen, they kind of nudge those moments to reality. They they push those moments out. And granted, that's part of the company's business to make sure that it's being seen everywhere at all times, but you can sometimes tell this is this is not genuine. Viral moments need to just happen in the moment like they're supposed to be. Like it should be just like a, oh, okay, this makes sense. You know, this this this is why it's gaining so much traction because it was a dope angle or whatever. Like the whole situation with Solo, you know, giving Roman the the Samoan Spike, you know, to the throat. That was a great viral moment. That's part of the story. It was supposed to happen that way. It doesn't seem forced and it works. But when you start doing some of these house shows and you can it comes off like every moment, every show has a viral moment, which every show shouldn't, it comes uh it comes off a little bit rehearsed. And that's WWE. they they will sacrifice a lot of logical sense or you know even you know some good storytelling for a viral moment. That's how they are. >> Pocket moments that will make sense for just a week and then go back to normal. It also wouldn't surprise us if WWE wanted to buy these viral moments from fans who captured at live events so that they can own the copyright to them. We're for sure going to get >> Oh, damn. That's interesting. Con man was at Smackdown and he was live streaming on Twitch. He was at this recent Smackdown. That's interesting. Look at moments that will make sense for just a week and then go back to normal. It also wouldn't surprise us if WWE wanted to buy these viral moments from fans who captured at live events so that they can own the copyright to them. We're for sure going to get a lot more goofy moments at live shows that probably make no sense at all, but it's just so WWE can make it a viral moment. Next up, AJ Styles son set for TNA. AJ Styles son, Avery Styles, is now about to take another major step in his young wrestling career with TNA officially announcing that Stylesson will appear at Lockdown. Avery is scheduled to appear at TNA Lockdown tonight from Credit Union 1 Arena in Chicago. And although TNA has deliberately kept his role in Mystery, at this point, there's also no confirmation that Avery will actually wrestle. He made his professional wrestling debut in June of 2026 and has already began gaining experience on the independent scene, including experiences for GCW. There has been some controversy involving his name and not setting up the ring because he's well AJ Styles son, but right now it's unclear what TNA has planned for him. Next up, WWE continues to bury. >> Interesting. That's I I did see there was some issues with and I don't know the logistics of it like the extra details but I it was maybe a couple weeks back he was uh AJ Styles son was w son was wrestling at a uh indie promotion and somebody had came out and said he didn't like help set up the ring or take down the ring and you know they basically you know came at him as if oh nepatism you know is kind of big you know made him feel bigheaded and and it was just like I don't know. It it was kind of a weird situation to insinuate because he's AJ Styles stunt that he didn't feel the need to help set up the ring or take down the ring and he should have been doing that to pay his dues when it's like the way I look at it just from that surface level. I mean if he's in in the independent scene he's obviously AJ Styles son. I don't think that was necessarily needed for him to have to take down the ring or help set it up. That's it's not his job. Like I can understand if you trying to get into the business, but let's be honest, if your father is AJ Styles, people are going to automatically book you because of who your father is. Is that call it nepotism or not, they are. So there's a good chance you're not going to be taking down the ring or setting it up. You're not because not everybody even people that are trying to get into the business without you know that lineage they don't I don't think they're required to as well if they want to to learn more there's nothing wrong with that but it's not a requirement that's what you have other people to do that for. I think it would it came off as people trying to hit the, you know, put the nepatism stigma on AJ Styles stunt and kind of put some dirt on his name. That that's how it looked off from the surface level. But y'all can let me know the extra details behind that. But when I saw that story, I was just like I don't I don't doesn't seem like he was told that he needed to do that per se. You know, this seemed like just someone had a gripe that it was AJ S's son. He didn't do this. Even though I don't think it was required, but that's neither here nor there. Ricky Starks. Ricky Starks has finally resurfaced in WWE, but the circumstances surrounding his return may be more revealing than the appearance itself. Saints appeared in a backstage segment alongside Ray Phoenix and Frank Schum on this week's Smackdown. However, the segment didn't even make the 2-hour broadcast and was instead released through WWE'se's digital platforms. This actually marks Saints first WWE appearance since United Champions 2026 where he lost to Trick Williams in the United States Championship match. Saints has been absent from WWE television since late June, making the return noteworthy. But being limited to a digital exclusive also raises questions about where he currently stands. [music] He appeared to be building strong momentum after moving from NXT to the main roster following Wrestlemania 42. But that momentum has seemingly slowed down a lot since then. Smackdown's 2-hour format could explain why certain segments are moved online, but Saints being kept away from the live broadcast still makes his current position difficult to overlook. There's also another problem as Saints has lost 10 consecutive matches at WWE live events, making his current WWE situation even more difficult to ignore. Next up has a former star been banned from both AW and WWE. A Chris Masters may have reached a point where he's no longer waiting for WWE or AW to give him another opportunity. Masters remains on the independent scene and still carries name recognition from his WWE run. But another major opportunity has never materialized in his career. During an interview with Hannibal TV, Hannibal asked Masters about the situation, prompting a surprisingly candid response. Masters explained, "Hannibal, I appreciate you bringing that up, but to me, basically in my mind, you know, I just feel like, man, I feel like I mean, I haven't even been invited back to WWE. So, the way I see it is I'm pretty much unofficially black bowled, I guess, from Pro Wrestling, which you know, it is what it is. But the frustration wasn't limited to WWE. When AEW was scheduled to run the forum in Los Angeles, Masters reached out directly to Christopher Daniels, hoping to simply receive an invitation to appear at the event. And according to Masters, that attempt didn't go the way he expected. You know, I did hit up Christopher Daniels, but he kind of was very passive and kind of blew me off. That response is crazy because Masters had known Daniels long before either the man entered the wrestling business. But, you know, to get that kind of response from somebody you've known since before you've even entered pro wrestling, going back to when I was 17, it was just disappointing. Masters emphasized that he wasn't asking AW for a contract or demanding a major role. He just simply wanted an opportunity to appear at an event in his hometown. During the interview, he didn't reveal exactly why he believes those opportunities haven't materialized. Instead, he acknowledged that he's reached a point where he's prepared to accept that another run in either WWE or AEW may never happen. I'm just kind of at peace with the fact that I might not get a shot with, you know, WWE or AEW. For now, Masters continues building his career on the independent scene rather than waiting for a major promotion to call. Should WWE bring him back for a one-off, maybe in the Royal Rumble? Next up, a WWE star looks Man, I doubt that. I doubt that, especially if there's something going on where he can't even, you know, make an appearance in AEW as well. That's something going on there. I don't know. Maybe more to the story than we know. But hey, he's at peace with it. As long as he's able to still get some work on the independent scene and keep doing his thing, that's all you can really do. >> Unrecognizable. Now, is that Zelina Vega or is that actually Tiffany Stratton? And she's now sporting a new look with pink hair. Is this a way for Tiffany to bounce back with a new look after losing the Women's United States Championship? And finally, Liv Morgan is still affected by her injury. Now, what seemed like a minor moment on WWE television has now turned into a monthsl long situation for Liv Morgan with the effects still lingering. The issue dates back to the April 6th episode of Raw when Stephanie Becker attacked Morgan during an inring segment. Morgan was shoved into Roxan Perez causing the two women to collide headto head. Speaking on the girl meets pod podcast, Raquel Rodriguez recalled initially treating the incident lightly. In the moment, I you know because she was okay and she was standing and everything seemed fine. I was kind of laughing inside just because a couple of months before I had a match with Stephanie and with Nikki Bella. Nikki Bella pushed me into the steps and I also hit my head and also got a little egg. And that night she was laughing right and we took a picture with her pointing and laughing at it and it was like oh payback right. However, the situation became more concerning as her swelling refused to completely disappear. Rodriguez explained but then to see how serious it was and how it still hasn't gone away and all those things like in the moment I feel like I should have felt a little bit more concerned. But you were just so excited that all three of us Judgement Day girlies now each had an egg. You know what I mean? It was like we're even now. Rodriguez later revealed that Morgan still has some swelling despite undergoing treatment. No, not fully. Like she still has a little tiny bit, but they've been doing a lot of therapy and stuff. So, it is it's coming down thankfully. Lymphatic or cupping, I think, is what they're doing here. I think she talked about getting maybe like a lidocaine shot just to help it as well. Now, what initially looked like a brief collision on RAW has now become a monthsl long recovery with Morgan still dealing with the lingering swelling. We're wishing her all the best. But there you have it, folks. The wildest news. Think about that, bro. That happened months ago and you can still somewhat see the the egg there, the presence of it. That's actually kind of crazy when you think about it. Honestly, when you go back and watch that segment, that was insane, bro. Like, legitimately, she got blasted. I mean, absolutely blasted right into Roan's head. Oh my god. That was honestly one of the better view uh buildups for Wrestlemania uh this year. It was just straight.
