Iroegbunam Faces Huge Blow In Hull City Transfer | Everton News Daily

According to reports coming out of journalists around the hall, a move from Hull City to buy Tim Iroegbunam looks to be off at the moment due to an injury. Um there was a proposed move on the table for around 15 million pounds, but due to this hamstring injury, which could keep him out for 6 weeks, uh Hull are looking elsewhere. We've been told at Toffee TV that that might not be the case and Hull may come back in for the player. Obviously, it will all be down to how that injury settles down in the next couple of weeks. Uh it's just over 2 weeks till the transfer window closes. And this might actually give Hull City a little bit more bargaining power really cuz Tim's in his last year of his contract and only Everton are looking to give him another contract. They're looking to move him on and the the move to Hull would have been perfect for them. So, this could be just a little ploy to get him at a cheaper price closer to the deadline. Um but obviously they're saying at the moment they're looking at other targets, uh but that's maybe not quite as accurate as it sounds, but he will not be moving obviously maybe for the for till closer to that deadline day. So, um disappointing for the player. Obviously, picked up the injury against Stuttgart. He went off after about 10 minutes, I think it was or 15 minutes. Um And this this move has been muted for a while. It seemed like Hull were keen on the player, but were waiting till a bit closer to the start of the season to to actually bid for the player, but Everton obviously, as he's our player, continued to play him in the preseason game. So, it is what it is. Injuries do happen. They can happen at any time. So, it's disappointing for him and it's disappointing for Everton as well, just wanting to bring in that little bit of extra money, um which could have gone towards a right back. Or, you know, or just filling team's place in the squad um, for someone they feel is more what we need. So, we'll have to wait and see. I'll keep an eye on it. I don't think that one is dead, as I've said, and we'll keep an eye on that one and see how it develops. Young midfielder Melvin Mallus has signed a his first pro deal with the club. He uh captained the under 18s side last season, playing mostly for them. He did under 21s as well. He's been at the club for a couple of years and has signed his first contract, pro pro deal. So, good luck with him this season. I would imagine he'll play more for the under 21s this season. Everton have confirmed the squad numbers for the upcoming season. No real surprises after we already knew that Jarrad Branthwaite was had been wearing the number four all all summer, and obviously we knew that Keane chose to be Hall would be wearing the number eight. There was no real surprises. I wasn't sure whether maybe Hayden Hackney would try and sneak in that number seven shirt, but that is vacant after Dwight McNeil left the football club. So, um, it is as it was, really. No shocks, no surprises. The number seven, the number three uh still available if Evan were to bring in players. I mean, obviously, if it's not a left back, don't give him number three. Uh but the number seven is available if Evan were to bring in that kind of player. Um, so, as I said, no surprises. The only thing that has come out of this is Evan have said, "If you have bought a shirt in the summer with a player with Dewsbury Hall or Branthwaite, they're the only ones who've really changed their squad numbers, um, Evan will give an exchange, a like-for-like exchange. So, if you've bought the shirt, a home shirt, with 22 Dewsbury Hall on, you can go and swap it for a home shirt, which is the home number eight on. If you've got badges on, they'll put badges on. If it's the pro version, they'll give you a pro version. Um one of the two Everton stores, just not on a match day. So, don't think you could take it down to the two two Hill Dickinson tomorrow and get a swap. It'll have to be on a non-match day, whether that be whether you know, whether that be town or or Hill Dickinson. So, but that's good cuz obviously every year we get a little bit of drama when people swap swap players a little bit of drama online, people complaining. Everton just got said straight away, you can have an exchange. And all the kits that are brought back will be donated to Kit Aid as well. So, that's that's really good as well from the football club. Um fair play to them for sorting that out and sorting that out so quickly. Everton do play tomorrow against Lille. There are tickets still available for that game if you're humming and arring whether to go or not. Uh if you want to go, get down there. Get down to Hill Dickinson. Certainly if you've never been before, this could be a fantastic opportunity. Road closures for the area have changed. They used to be 2 hours, but through consultation, they are now got it's now going to be 90 minutes before kick-off. So, and I know that's caused a few problems with people getting dropped off. Um people who can't walk obviously the distance um from where the closures are. The closures, certainly from the town end, are just a just past Costco. So, obviously it causes a lot of problems then people feel like don't want to be there 2 hours before kick-off. So, it is now 90 minutes. So, if you ask do struggle to get to the game, and you want to be dropped off, whether it's your own car or or you know, in a taxi or whatever, the road closures are now 90 minutes. So, now now you know. Uh Carabao Cup details have been released. Everton playing Preston North End away. It isn't at Goodison Park. Um the game is on the 26th of August, 8:00 p.m. kickoff. Uh, the tickets go available on sale on Monday at 10:00 a.m. for anyone with 18 plus credits. For anyone [snorts] with 15 plus credits, if there's still any available, that then it will be 2:00 p.m. on Monday. And if it drops to 10 plus credits, that will be Tuesday morning. But, I can't see it getting past the 18 credits, if I'm honest. So, that will happen on Monday. So, uh, I'm sure anyone who's already got them will be fully aware of it. But, but now you know. So, as I said, tickets are still available for the game against Lille tomorrow. Um, Champions League team, so should be a good game. Good opportunity to see the likes of Brennan Johnson play his first game in an Everton shirt. He only started training this week. Jordan Pickford back as well. Hayden Hackney will play his first game. Ellis Hill Dickinson as well. I don't think we're going to get to see Christian Nørgaard sadly. I don't think he's ready yet. Um, some reporting that he mightn't even be ready for the first game of the season next week. Um, we're not sure if we're going to have James Garner back as well, but good opportunity to see them. And obviously, Mel and Roll, Thierry George back as well. Um, paying the signs now, they know what it's all about. But, we'll get a good idea of what the team will look like for this first game of the season next week against Crystal Palace. So, yeah, should be a good game actually. And Olivier Giroud will be playing. And who doesn't want to see Olivier Giroud? Let's be honest. Who doesn't want to see that? 39-year-old Olivier Giroud. That's all I'm [music] saying.
