Joint practice is here and the preseason
is heating up
for your Tennessee Titans as the Titans
head west and we get ready for Titans
and 49ers today on the practice [music]
field and Thursday on a football field
in preseason.
>> Game day.
Game day.
>> [screaming]
>> It going to be a long day when I let
them get started.
>> [cheering]
>> Hey, uh all right guys, listen up real
quick. Great job. We'll see the tape.
All right, I know on that field guys, a
lot of great competition. Uh but looking
forward to seeing it. Looking forward to
seeing the style. We said just one
thing, said be physical. I know defense
answered the bell. Can't wait to look at
it on offense. All right? Um
big lift. All right, don't hold back. I
mean, you guys should be ready for
another practice with all this beautiful
weather.
All right, get your facilities in. Great
freaking work. All right, be attentive
in meetings and we'll get this walk
through done this afternoon. All right?
>> This is just the first step working
against another team, seeing what you've
got, but um
overall, I think it was, you know,
feisty,
uh good work on both sides.
>> I think our number one goal today was
just put it on film and be physical. It
felt good to unleash Glazer against
another opponent today and get some work
in.
>> Did this feel like a reality check for
you guys?
>> No, it didn't feel like a reality check
at all. I mean, we went out there and
proved to them who we are.
>> Anything else?
>> And who who who are you guys?
>> Uh we're the Titans. We came here to
play fast and violent.
>> It is a picture-perfect
night. Santa Clara, California, the
first proving ground of 2026 for your
Tennessee Titans. Who makes a name for
[music] themselves? Who makes the big
play? How did Cam Ward and the starters
look when this ball is kicked off?
>> For the first time ever, the Tennessee
Titans are wearing a shield. There's a
new six-string stripe that runs down the
center of those helmets, and inside the
collar tab is the word "we".
>> Time to get money.
>> Last time we going to do it alone. Let's
get changed right now. You want to win
good this year, we want to fight now.
Everybody lock in and let's get this
done.
>> Tonight is the first step in a bunch of
guys chasing their dreams. [music] I'm
excited for this team and this
organization, and most importantly, man,
I'm excited for the entire Titans fan
base, man, to get an opportunity to walk
this journey with them, [music] be in
this step-by-step, and see the product
that's been working our butts off all
the training camp.
>> You made so many sacrifices to put this
helmet on and this jersey on. You missed
so much family. You worked so hard. You
made so many sacrifices. Don't put your
hand in the dirt and waste it. Put your
hand in the dirt and prove all the
people that believe IN YOU RIGHT.
>> HEY! YOU KNOW WHAT TIME IT IS.
>> THIS kickoff it starts with the first
play of the game and it's this right
now.
>> It's 2026.
Ball in the air. Press play.
>> Titans defense bends, they don't break.
>> It's off of the field forcing a Corliss
Waitman punt for the 49ers. [music]
>> And this is how we kick off season
number two for Cam Ward.
>> The off-season was a lot about getting
good weapons around him and increasing
what he has in the offensive line.
>> Tony Pollard, the veteran, kicks it out
right. It's a nice run on first down.
>> Tajae follows belly AND HE STANDS AND
STAYS UP. 30, 25, 20. HE'S INTO THE
SECONDARY DOWN past the 15 and it's
another Titans first down to the 11-yard
line.
Pollard in the backfield. Ward is under
center. Camp turns, hands to Pollard.
Pollard patiently into the end zone.
That is a Titans touchdown.
Good tackle there
before he got to the 15.
>> I mean, take a little bit of James
Williams right there, man. [music] Going
underneath an offensive lineman. There
he said he played for God as he used to
playing this space.
>> Trying to put the Titans up by six here.
Looking good.
Drilled it.
55-yard field goal from Joey Slye at the
end of this first half.
>> We're doing a good job up front, getting
on edges, everything we're doing. Just
keep it going. Keep doing your
base fundamentals at a high level. We're
going to be okay, man. You guys have
been doing a great job in the run game.
>> Letting some other guys get a turn here
in the second half.
>> Guys got a lot to prove still tonight,
Taylor.
>> From the 3-yard line, Will Polling has
been busy on special teams. Big hit as
he got to the 25.
Robert Saleh on the field to celebrate.
>> Man, Julius Chestnut right there with a
tackle on that play, man. Again, good.
He's making a case for himself, not even
at his position, but on special teams.
You got more young guys in here, TC.
Coach Saleh and his staff let us know
that this is the group this game they're
trying to evaluate. So, we're going to
keep it simple so these guys can play
fast and
>> That's a miscommunication. He wanted to
hand it off. Instead, he throws it and
it is caught and absolutely crushed.
James Williams.
>> We've spoken a lot about James Williams,
man, in this training camp. Good on him
for using his length and his
athleticism.
>> A fake this time to Herbert. Facing
pressure, Martinez. They got him.
Manny Powell, the rookie, Timmy Horne,
and the Titans will get the football
back on a second and eight. Chestnut
into the secondary. Daylight, 30, 35,
40, and dives over the 40-yard
[screaming]
line for big Chestnut. That is a 34-yard
run for Chestnut. Titans up 16-10. It'll
be fourth down.
And Joey Sly is going to come out again.
Good snap, good hold, ball put down.
Sly!
BOOM! MAN, WHAT A NIGHT JOEY'S HAVING.
>> [cheering]
>> My goodness, 19 to 10 Titans. Sly has
made three kicks over 50 yards. Titans
football victory formation, the best
formation in football. It's nice to
taste the victory,
especially for a young football team.
One, I do think we're really, really
young, and I do think these guys need
some game action. As you saw, they have
to feel it in live bullets. They've got
to feel the angles, they've got to feel
the tackling.
>> Hey, great winning, San Francisco, baby.
You know what I'm saying? That's one and
one, but we got many more to go. Tighten
up, baby. Let's go. We out.
