INSANE EARLY GLOOM XP FARM / 2000 Per Run / How To LEVEL UP FAST Guide - Mortal Shell 2
Watch on YouTubeVideo summary
The video presents an efficient early-game farming strategy for Mortal Shell 2 that yields approximately 2,000 Gloom per run, making it one of the most lucrative methods available at the start of the game. To utilize this farm, players must first acquire the ability to dispel corruption by collecting Over Eggs and siphoning them using Maru's Keep. The easiest way to achieve this is by defeating the boss known as the Lady of the Woods in the Corrupted Gate area; once defeated, the player is teleported to Maru's Keep where they can collect the necessary eggs to cleanse corruption. This ability unlocks access to specific areas and allows players to bypass certain obstacles, significantly streamlining the farming process for subsequent runs.
The core of the farm takes place within the Kingdom of Fols, specifically at a beacon entrance that contains roughly twelve stationary enemies who are kneeling on the floor. These foes deal minimal damage upon contact and can be quickly dispatched with a heavy weapon, yielding about 100 Gloom each. In addition to these static targets, players should also eliminate three mobile enemies around a corner and a coffin-wielding enemy nearby, which provides an extra 400+ Gloom but requires caution as it grabs the player if approached too closely. The creator notes that while using a slow heavy weapon is sufficient for this method, optimizing damage output can push the total earnings closer to the promised 2,000 Gloom per cycle.
Efficiency is further enhanced by managing the lift system and avoiding unnecessary resource expenditure. Players are advised to keep the lift down after each run so they do not have to wait for it to return, saving valuable time. Additionally, players should conserve firearm ammunition for the coffin enemy rather than wasting shots on the stationary foes, as the heavy weapon is effective enough against the rest of the group. For those who have already cleared the boss and unlocked the beacon, the route involves descending steps, exiting through a specific entrance while hugging a building, and riding the lift back up to repeat the loop seamlessly.
For new players who have not yet unlocked this beacon, the video provides a detailed walkthrough on how to reach it from the very first beacon available in the game. The route requires navigating across hills, dodging lunging enemies like birds, and traversing specific paths to reach the Abbey Entrance beacon at the outskirts of Mammon. The creator also mentions that some early-game farms from the beta may eventually be removed by future patches, so players are encouraged to take advantage of this Gloom farm while it is still active. To further boost earnings, players can use items like the Blue Baron Stone and the Sear Stone, which provide buffs for extra Gold and Gloom respectively, though these are optional enhancements to an already powerful strategy.

So guys, I am back with yet another
Mortal SH 2 video. And today guys, I
showcase you what has to be the best
early game farm. There's no too much
worse about it. Per run, you'll get
about 2,000 gloom. It is insane, and you
can do this more or less right off the
bat. Today, I will explain all. Let's
go. How's it going, guys? My name is
DPJ, and if you do enjoy the video,
leaving a like really helps out. And if
you like what you see and want to see
more, be sure to subscribe. Okay, so the
one requirement in order to do this, you
need to be able to dispel corruption.
That means you need to have collected
enough over eggs and siphon them with
Maru's keep. Um, if you haven't done
that yet, the easiest way to do this,
guys, is to take out the boss of
Magdalena, the lady of the woods. This
is a boss that can be located right here
within this place right here, guys, the
corrupted gate. So, from the very first
actual beacon, if you come this way,
I'll show you at the end of the video,
guys, a quick route to this boss. Once
you take out this boss though, um you'll
then guys be teleported to Maro's keep
and then uh you'll go to the egg over
room. You'll siphon what you have and
you'll now be able to indeed uh despite
that corruption. And from that point,
guys, you can use the lift here and come
down to this point here, the outskirts
of Mammon, which I'll show you as well
in a quick second. I'm going to show you
the location of how you get to this
beacon. So, the beacon is the abbey
entrance. If you've got this done
already, that is good. Um it doesn't
matter if you already cleansed it or
not. Now, if you've already cleansed it,
it makes the farm more efficient, more
quicker. Uh, but if you haven't cleansed
it yet and you don't want to take out
the boss, it's still quite efficient.
And I'll show you either way how you do
this farm. So, yeah, enter the actual
beacon. And what it is, what's great
about this guys is actually
about 12 or so enemies that actually do
not move. So, you can hit them and you
get like 100 per one per enemy. They're
actually like on the floor on their
knees and you can hit them and basically
take them out before they even lay the
shot down on you and actually don't hurt
when they hit you anyway. They don't hit
that hard. So you come here guys into
the Kingdom of Fols and you'll see these
guys right here and there's 12 of these
in total and again these will all give
you about 100 of that gloom
per one. Now what I will say is as well
I'm using a slow heavy weapon. I mean
you can make this way more efficient.
I'm not even joking
around 1,800
uh gloom in regards to a total here. Uh
from these guys here, you'll get about
1300, but there's a couple more enemies
can take out. Uh what I will say as
well, guys, is don't waste your ammo in
regards to your firearm. Keep that cuz
there's a coffin dude just around that
corner there who gives us like 400 plus
for taking him out. You can take him out
with three shots quite easy. So yeah,
so just take these guys out. This I've
noticed. You know what? This heavy
weapon, the actual the heat detection on
is pretty bad. These enemies can be
right in front of me and my weapon will
still help me
just just like that. Okay, so those are
them enemies taken out. I'm taking my
time here. Then guys, what you want to
do is you want to run around this corner
and take these guys out. So there's
three here. They'll give you a bit of
gold. Nothing major in regards to that.
And then guys, you want to come around
this corner and come up to this coffin
dude. Don't get too close cuz he'll grab
you and do some dirty damage. So when he
pops out, literally just shoot him.
Now, if you're running this for the
first time, you'll grab this key uh
that's hanging on that chain. You come
back around this corner.
And then guys, you enter this gate here
and drop down into the boss room, which
you can take out the boss. If you've
already come down here, if you take out
the boss, if you opt to do it this way,
it's way quicker because then, guys, if
you've taken out the boss, you can rerun
this much, much faster. I'll show you
how you do it, uh, if you haven't taken
out the boss, you don't want to fight
the boss or the boss is too hard for,
you can still farm this. Uh, so you go
back into the beacon, go to cleanse
beacon,
and then what you do is you run down
these steps, as you'll see me do right
here,
run through here, jump down. I always
leave the lift down, especially if
you've taken out the boss. It just makes
your life a lot easier jumping down.
Make it more efficient on yourself,
making it quicker the runs.
And then what you do from here, guys, is
you simply just farm away
just like so. And I'll actually speed
this up cuz you don't really need to see
this again.
Just making the video longer. We don't
necessarily need to be
And then when you've taken out that guy
and you've taken the gloom, you then
guys again, if you don't want to run the
boss, leave the key. And it's simply
guys just want to run out of here where
you come in. So come this way, hug this
big building on your left and exit
through this entrance. Simple as that.
Then because the lift will be down, you
simply just catch the lift back up. And
if you are planning on running this way,
what I do is once you get to the top in
regards to sending the lift back up as
you exit, you want to send the lift back
down. So when you come back in, the lift
is already down. So you haven't got to
mess around waiting on the lift and
things of that nature. So yeah, just
makes it a little bit more efficient on
yourself. So yeah, and that is simply it
guys. That is simply it. Almost 2,000
per run is absolutely wild. So, what
I'll do now, guys, is I'll show you how
you actually get here if you haven't got
this beacon unlocked already. So, I'm
just going to go to, in fact, I'll go to
the Maro Keep.
So, what you'll quickly see on screen
now, guys, is I'll show you the route to
Magdalena there, lady of the woods from
the very first beacon that you will
indeed unlock. So, yeah, you'll see that
on screen. Now, we'll speed it up. You
can slow it down using YouTube's uh
feature. So, do that.
Okay, so once you've taken out the boss,
guys, obviously a beacon will indeed
spawn in. Go inside of the beacon, um,
cleanse it, grab it over, and then
you'll be teleported to Maro's Keep.
Once you're in Miles Keeper, then go to
the egg room, which is this way right
here.
>> Harbinger.
Then you'd siphon what you have in
regards to those um I don't think I got
any on me. Have I not? No, I haven't got
Oh, there we go. Right there. And you
siphon. And then guys, you'll get a
couple of uh new features pop up for you
in regards to being able to fast travel,
etc., etc. Then guys, what you'd want to
do is come to this lift
just like so and travel up within it.
And now any corruption you'll see on the
map in regards to like black thorns, you
can actually go up to now and dispel it.
So yeah, and when you're up here guys,
you'll come to this point right here,
which will initially be uh locked off
for you, and you'll be able to dispel
these thorns. Then guys, you simply
activate this
and then you'd want to go to this beacon
right here, the outskirts of M. And
we're just going to fast here and I'll
show you the route to this beacon.
Come on. I don't know what this is
supposed to be here. I really ain't
sure.
Okay, so we're about to land.
I'm pretty sure in a patch soon that
will be this will be sped up. Although
you ain't really going to be using that
often to be honest. You can fast travel
between beacons which you're not reach
anyway. So yeah. Okay. So we're now at
the outskirts of Mammon which is this
right here. Now guys, we're going to
make our way across to this beacon abbey
entrance. So we're just going to come
down this hill. Avoid these enemies.
They will try and lunge at you. So just
dodge when you get near them. So yeah.
And you want to come over this way.
And you want to head down this small
little hill just like so. And see them
forks right there. We're actually going
to traverse through them. Now the thing
about this guys is you actually have to
lock in the direction of where you want
to be going. If you don't initially the
issue I had, I was wondering why they
weren't working for me. It's cuz for
some reason for me anyway, I have to
look where actually going to traverse
to. So yeah. Now guys, run through here.
Avoid that bird. Run past all three of
these is why they all will lunge at you.
So yeah, just be careful.
Come through here.
See the big guy take a right at the end.
Now you can explore all of this if you
want to. That's completely up to you. So
yeah, then guys just going to traverse
up and then guys on your right hand side
is indeed
the abbey entrance beacon. And there you
have it, guys. Take advantage of this
while you can. Some of the best farms
from the beta have been taken out. So
yeah, I've no doubt guys, farms like
this may indeed
eventually come to an end. So yeah, also
if you missed my farm from yesterday,
I'll link that in the video description.
It's a little easier in regards to um
fighting sheep. You get like 400 per
run. It's quite quick as well, but you
won't earn as sufficiently as this. What
I also say guys is as well, there's a
couple of items that you can indeed use
to buff your uh your gains here. There's
a blue baron stone [music] as well as
the just a sear stone. This will give
you extra gold. This will give you extra
gloom. You can get get these both early
on as well. I'll link that video in the
video description. So, check that out to
people. But yes, enjoy the farm. I hope
it helps you out. If it does, leaving a
like really helps me out. And hopefully,
guys, I will see you on that next one.
