Video summary

The video documents an intense five-day period in the life of a tattoo artist who undertakes two major cover-up projects for returning clients. The week begins with the artist celebrating his niece's birthday and enjoying time with family before diving into consultations with clients traveling from different states, including Texas and Montana. One client is a repeat visitor who has previously received an outer sleeve, calf, and other pieces, while another client returns to complete her inner sleeve after having done her outer sleeve earlier. The artist emphasizes the importance of routine, mentioning his gym sessions and meal prep, though he admits to missing a workout due to exhaustion from the demanding schedule. The core of the video focuses on the technical execution of these complex cover-ups, specifically detailing the process of transforming difficult existing tattoos into cohesive new designs. For one project involving an inner sleeve, the artist decides to use only solid black ink to create depth and tone through hand pressure, ensuring a dark and clean heal. He describes the challenging nature of covering up a "messy" forearm while working on a clean canvas for the inner bicep, planning to add animals like an owl, bear, and tiger to complete the full sleeve. The footage captures the progression from blocking in shapes with black ink to adding various shades of gray and white highlights, highlighting the precision required to make the new artwork pop against the old scars. Throughout the five days, the artist balances long hours in the studio with moments of rest, stretching, and dining with clients at rooftop restaurants or local eateries. He notes that some sessions are physically uncomfortable due to awkward placements but are necessary to complete the vision. The video concludes with the successful completion of both projects, showcasing the healed results alongside fresh shots. The artist expresses deep gratitude for his clients' trust and their willingness to fly in for extended periods, noting that while such weeks can fill up an entire month's schedule, he enjoys the connection and the creative challenge these large-scale projects provide.

This upcoming week, I got two big projects that I'm gonna be doing. If you haven't watched the last video, these are the two coverups I did last week. [music] Uh, but today and tomorrow are my day off. So, I'm going to be celebrating my niece's birthday. We are also going to be going to the lake, I think. Then, I'm going to have my consultation with my client. He is a returning client. He got his outer sleeve, his calf, his other calf, and I don't know what we're going to be doing, but I know I have him for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. 3 days back to back. And after him, I have another returning client. I did her outer sleeve and we're going to complete the inner sleeve cover up two days back to back. But for now, I'm going to enjoy my weekend with my beautiful wife and the family. >> Because of the speaker thing, >> you have one job. >> What? This is my job. >> Give me it >> right here. This is my job. >> Happy birthday. >> Thank you, girl. >> The John Wick shot glass right here. You got the Hawaiian one. >> Yay. >> All right. >> What? >> You're bringing socks for >> No, it's juice. >> How is everybody doing? Welcome back to my channel. Today I'm going to be hanging out with my friends. >> In today's video, >> today my client's flying out from um a different state. I'm going to meet them for some breakfast. [laughter] >> Breakfast. >> That's pretty good. >> Tell me they they don't watch your videos. [music] >> I know. >> Damn. You can barely see me. Hold on. That [ __ ] was fun. It is now 5:00 p.m. I'm about to meet my clients for our consultation. Taking him to this amazing rooftop. He's traveled with me to Miami. He's come to Arizona many times. And uh I want to thank him by taking him to a different restaurant. You already know what I need though. [music] Damn. Oh, why is it so dark, bro? What the There, there, there. The biggest compliment I get is on the subject to India. I know. Look at this beautiful, beautiful dinner with the views. O, the other side. We had an amazing consultation. I cannot wait. Uh so I'm just going to head home, relax now, cuz tomorrow we start the week off strong with the gym. I knocked out. I don't know what happened. I think I was exhausted. So I didn't go to the gym this morning. It doesn't mess up my morning, but I do feel like something's missing because I'm I'm all about routine. I like routine, but I also feel rested. But we're going with the flow. Let's get the day started with something nice. Today it is Labor Day, so I'm celebrating it. I'm working to put a good song. [music] [singing] I just got away from my client. I'm going to get him some breakfast. And it's dark in here. Look. Hey, it's >> going to be a good day. >> Hello. >> Hey, good morning. How you doing? >> I'm great. How are you? >> Good. Yeah. So, we're doing the inner sleeve this time, correct? >> And connect everything around it. Do you have any questions for me? >> Do you want me when I get back home to have my husband take a picture? >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. >> Send that to you. >> Yes, please. If you can send me a picture of the forum and the and the shoulder as well. >> Sweet. >> All right. Sounds good. and I'll see you in a couple days. All >> right, sounds great. >> I just had a quick consultation with my clients. She couldn't come in a day early to have our consultation at the restaurant. She trustes my work, so she didn't really need to meet up for for um a consultation in person. But yeah, I'm excited. We're going to be doing an inner sleeve cover up on her. So, right now, I'm just going to get ready. Uh I'm going to print out my stencil. [cheering] Mhm. Mhm. And for this project, I'm only going to be using one tone, which is just my solid black. The Mr. Coverup set, I'm only going to be using the black in this situation cuz I am only going to be using the pressure of my hand to create my different tones so I can make sure that it heals very, very nice and dark. >> Yes, sir. I want the other. No sing. Yeah. [music] >> [music] >> We are taking our first break. Uh it's been about an hour, an hour and 30 minutes. Uh so that's as far as we got. [music] [music] >> [music] >> Grab my boy. I just the owner. Yeah. >> Successful day. Day one completed. I'm going to go grocery shopping so I can make my meal prep for the week. And I have to wake up tomorrow. I cannot believe I didn't wake up this morning. Embarrassing. [singing] [music] [laughter] >> I lowkey took a a small nap. I don't know what happened. I don't want to wait too long. So, I'm going to go to the grocery store. But before I go to the grocery store, I am going to go pick up my father-in-law because his car overheated. So, I'm just going to give him a ride first so he can pick up his car and I'm going to head to the store. This is why his car overheated. Man, it is hot out here. >> And there it is. We got it to work. Now we're going to go grocery shopping. >> This is our baby. >> Good morning. We're about to start our day. It is 5:20. I'm about to head to the gym. After I'm done with the gym, I'm gonna come home, get ready, and I'm gonna go have some breakfast with my dad. >> Actually looks beautiful. Good workout. Let's go. [music] [music] It was a nice breakfast. It was nice catching up with my dad. Let's uh get my stencil ready. Day number two. [music] >> [music] [music] >> Okay, first break that we are taking right now. We went at it for about 2 hours maybe. Uh almost 2 hours. Uh I think we got pretty far. >> [laughter] [music] >> Day two completed. I didn't get to record a lot cuz it was very uncomfortable. It was an uncomfortable placement, but I got just enough. I also only took two breaks and we finished. We took a break just to stretch and then we took a break to eat. And then next thing you know, I'm done. So, I'm just going to head home right now, rest up, and get ready for tomorrow. So, let's do it. Walmart. >> So bright. >> It's hella bright. >> That one. [laughter] Look at this. How about I'm Chalula and then you're Tapato. >> Where's Tapato at? >> I don't know. We have to find that. >> I'll be Fireball. Look, >> look at that one. Good morning. We're about to go to the gym. We're now ready. Final day with my client Thomas. And we're going to finish it off with a cover up. So, [music] >> [music] [music] >> Okay, first thing I'm doing is basically focusing on the background of the wolf so I can be able to see the whole shape of the face. After that, I'm going to start with the chin area and then move my way up to the nose. Heat. [music] [music] Hey, heat. Hey, heat. >> [music] [laughter] >> It was an amazing three days. I enjoy my time with Thomas. We always have a good time and I think he's gonna be booking again for November. We'll see. He's gonna let me know. But tomorrow we have another project, another cover up project. I'm going to be doing an inner sleeve cover up on my client flying back in for the second time. And uh I'm excited. I know it's going to be an amazing project. But before we continue with this video, let me go ahead and show you how these projects turned out. How my tattoos look healed and how they look fresh. >> [music] [music] >> Heat. Heat. We are home resting. Let me show you what I'm working on the next two days. And here it is. This is what I'm covering up. It is the inner forearm. We already did the outer sleeve. So, all we got to do now is that and the inner bicep on the top, which is a clean canvas, thankfully. The inner bicep, but the forearm is a mess. So, that's what I'm going to try and figure out what to do as far as the project. Wo, wo, wo. Today, it is day one of the inner sleeve, one of two. First thing is first, I think it's leg day today. Damn. Leg day makes me hate the gym even more. All right. [music] [singing] >> Today it is day one of this project. Uh my client just got here. She is eating her breakfast. She already has a tiger here. She got a lion down here. So now we're going to do an owl on the inner forearm. And then we're going to do a bear on the inner bicep and it's going to complete her full sleeve. >> This is a cover up of a cup, huh? How did you know? >> I could tell [music] >> [music] [music] >> We are now on our first break. Uh, we got really far on the owl already. I got pretty much the whole wrist area with a little bit of the face. Um, I am just blocking it in. Just adding my black so I can see some shape. So I can figure out where I'm going to be adding my grays and my white highlights. [music] >> [music] >> The owl is already looking really bright, so I'm going to focus on adding 40% gray, 15% gray, and some white highlights. [music] >> [music] >> Just got home. It was a pretty easy day. Uh, all I'm going to do right now is just uh do a couple chores and uh get ready for tomorrow. Came to Michael's real quick to look for some Halloween decorations. And these are lowkey saucy as hell, bro. Come on now. Look at this. >> And now I'm just going to edit the video that I'm going to be posting on YouTube uh tomorrow and start thinking about how to post on my Instagram, my Tik Tok, and my Facebook. Trying to figure out what projects to post, how to post it. And yeah, buenos. Last day of tattooing. It was a really good week. >> [snorts] >> It's hot today. Today's the last day of five days of tattooing. This is why I only book like six to eight clients per month cuz two clients can take up my whole entire week, which I do not mind at all. It's a Friday today. So, what should I play on a Friday? Yeah, this this is a Friday. [music] >> Last day of this two days back to back cover up. Uh today we're going to be doing the inner bicep and we're going to be doing a bear today. [music] [music] >> [music] [music] >> Hey, [music] hey, hey. [music] >> [music] >> We're about to stretch. Uh we're going to give it about 5 minutes. Arms started falling asleep. You know, I'm pressing a lot on that inner biceps. So, we're about to order some food, too. Uh and then that's going to be our second break. And then after that, we might just finish the whole piece. [music] >> [music] [music] >> It was an amazing 5 days with my clients who came for the second time. They flew in from Texas and Montana. So, I really, you know, I appreciate them for trusting me with my work and continue to working with me. And thank you guys for watching my videos.
