Lake Michigan, a mysterious and enormous lake long rumored to possess crash UFOs or possibly a secret base hidden somewhere beneath the waves. However, it is not only the extraterrestrial activity which this lake is now famous for. The use of remote sensing technology is thankfully becoming more common within modern archaeology. Scientists [music] now routinely survey lakes for hidden structures, and Lake Michigan is no exception. At a depth of 40 ft in Grand Traverse Bay using sonar techniques, archaeologists discovered sunken boats, cars, [music] and even a Civil War era pier. But among all this, they found a spectacular prehistoric ruin. When you see it in the water, you're tempted to say, "This can't be real," said Mark Holly, professor of underwater archaeology at Northwestern Michigan University College, who made the discovery. "Clearly some form of Stonehenge." "If this site could be confirmed as having been man-made, it would give credence [music] to a theory of people building complex ancient structures within Lake Michigan back when it was just a dry basin well [music] over 10,000 years ago. Thankfully, during the investigation, a large [music] rock was spotted with what many at the time suspected was an ancient illustration of a mastadon. During a conference in 2007, photos of the boulder from further investigations were displayed, these clearly showing this prehistoric drawing. However, [music] Mark stated that experts were yet to come in and verify it beyond doubt. We couldn't believe what we were looking at, said Greg McMaster, president of the Underwater Preserve Council. Specialists [music] shown pictures of the boulder holding the masteredon markings have asked for more evidence. [music] They actually want to see it. Unfortunately, he added, experts in petroglyphs generally [music] don't dive. So, we're running into a little bit of a stumbling block there. [music] If found to be true, the petroglyph would be well over 10,000 years old, confirming early post [music] ice age presence of both humans and mastadons in the upper Midwest. If authenticated, it [music] would become an outofplace artifact. Like many other stone circles and other petetroglyph sites, this one dated [music] due to the age of the lake. Just who could have built the Michigan Stonehenge? How did they [music] build it? As further investigation is undertaken, we will of course keep you posted on any future developments. On the 30th of July 1967, a group of seven sponge divers were exploring the bottom of Rock [music] Lake within Wisconsin. What they found, however, is more precious than sponge, or indeed golden relics. [music] They would make a discovery so perplexing some specialists are still struggling to explain it to this day. One of the divers, John [music] Kennedy, stumbled across a large triangular rock formation near the middle of the lake. [music] A structure which towered up from the deep, almost breaching the surface. He estimated that the structure, [music] which still existed above the mud, was around 20 ft in diameter and around 40 ft from the edge of the lake. John collected several small fragments from around the structure, specimens which would later aid in collaborating their claims. Although rumors of an ancient pyramid existing in the lake had circulated [music] since the 1930s, this was the first time in modern history that evidence had successfully been [music] retrieved. It must be noted Rock Lake is extremely ancient and the area that is said to house an ancient pyramid has remained submerged for well over 10,000 years. Due to this geological fact if [music] it were not for Jon's physical evidence, the site may have been successfully overlooked by mainstream archaeology. Heated debate regarding Jon's and other claims from the 30s now [music] raged on for several years. Many mainstream archaeologists predictably rejecting the premise that a pyramid of over 10,000 years of age is resting or more precisely hiding at the bottom of Rock Lake. They claim some enormous structures lay there. Native American legend records that they were built by an ancient peoples who were driven away during a flood. [music] Although evidence was mounting, skeptics continued to insist that those involved were mistaken. It took a [music] flight by aerial photographer Jack Latonio to silence such rhetoric. According to mainstream academia, the site simply shouldn't exist. Yet, it does. It is another valuable relic of our [music] past which tell of a history drenched in antiquity. A history we are slowly unraveling. Although most of the world is familiar with the mysterious events of the Bermuda Triangle, the many paranormal and unexplainable disappearances which have occurred within its invisible borders, a triangular stretch of water which lies within the North Atlantic Ocean attributed to extraterrestrial encounters, and countless unexplained phenomena through its known history. What many may not be aware of, however, is a triangular patch of water that lies within one of the Great Lakes, Michigan. a stretch of water which may quite possibly be responsible for even more mysterious events. Events which have been successfully kept under the radar of many paranormal investigators subsequently and conveniently the triangle within Michigan Lake has lacked worldwide renown in the process. Now however it is quickly becoming known as the Michigan Triangle and the true extent of the effect that whatever is there has had on the local fishing population among others is beginning to become apparent to all. stretching from Lington to Benton Harbor to Michigan and to Manawak, Wisconsin. Whatever is causing the events within the Lake Michigan triangle began or perhaps arrived in 1891. The first report was of a schooner named the Thomas Hume, which set off across the lake to pick up lumber. Yet somehow halfway across the lake, it disappeared along with a crew of seven sailors. After the turn of the century, strange events began being reported at steady intervals. In 1921, 11 people inside a ship known as the Rosa Bell, who were all members of the Benton Harbor House of David disappeared without trace. The ship was later found overturned and floating in the Great Lake. While evidence would suggest that the ship had been damaged in a collision, no other ships had reported an accident and no other remains were ever found. As local rumors spread, historical reports of paranormal events taking place in the area began to surface. An enormous variety of strange occurrences have now been reported to have happened during passage through the Michigan Triangle. Some have claimed the triangle is a time portal and that it can either slow or speed up time immensely during a passage. Reports such as these are always intriguing. Whenever there are reports of the warping of time or deja vu within the vicinity of possible extraterrestrial technology, you tend to find these to be the most authentic and detailed of reports. Some locals maintain that UFOs are often seen in the area and report bright lights in the sky frequently. With such a localized area of paranormal events with reports of the warping of time, a technology which would be essential for long space travel, could there be an alien base beneath Michigan Lake? I have in the past covered the littlest studied and even lesser explored submerged pyramid within Wisconsin, or indeed the incredibly old pyramid hidden [music] within Dakota. Yet like that of the long claimed Great Pyramid, [music] which once sat tall within Salt Lake City, once somehow constructed of solid copper blocks, our next item of interest was also seemingly quarried out, or possibly simply destroyed in this ongoing effort to hide the true grandeur of our planet's lost civilizations. Found within Pyramid Lake, one of the largest lakes within America, [music] is a strange yet uncanny rock formation. This formation not only dated to over 300 million years old, but within the original documentation and indeed illustrations of the area [music] created by the first pioneers, just like that of the surviving evidence for the recently covered copper pyramid, which once [music] stood within Salt Lake City, can be seen to have itself indeed once been a clearly man-made pyramid, [music] which once stood proudly within this ancient lake. perhaps even once utilizing it as a water source. The question is what happened to this mysterious [music] anomaly? Could the many other artifacts we have found often discovered perfectly preserved within prehistoric [music] strata and coal seams dating to this exact same age not only supporting the existence of human civilization spanning [music] back to these times but corroborate the claim that this along with the great [music] pyramids which still stand within Egypt specifically its core stones [music] ones I have long postulated are now obscured and covered by later conservation efforts not a mere few thousand years but quite possibly hundreds of millions of [music] years old. Perhaps this along with the original purpose [music] having long ago been unraveled surrounding the past function of these ancient structures. the actual true motive behind why this pyramid along with many others I [music] have encountered during my research for the channel not just within the states but worldwide destroyed hidden or attached [music] to civilizations clearly incapable of such feats. This then perhaps all in an effort to conceal their true past function. There are countless ancient ruins found throughout Sri Lanka which are all indicative of a lost technology and thus a lost civilization having once been responsible for their creation. One of the most striking of these being the Sigiraa Mountain, an ancient stronghold made a top natural plateau, a sanctuary far away from the troubles that would have presumably been occurring below. Yet, one of the most astonishing relics found within this ancient land is a rather well-hidden one. Although the water reservoir built into the Siguria site could offer one a subtle initial clue as to their existence, one would have to investigate the surrounding environment very carefully or be given local knowledge to ever find our next ancient anomaly in question. Hidden close by to the ancient mountainous stronghold and now almost completely submerged into the surrounding landscape. gargantuan ancient water reservoirs first documented by a Mr. Tenant from the UK and noted upon by William R. Corus within one of his many volumes regarding lost civilization describing enormous water tanks found with the aid of the locals all completely aligned with equally cut square blocks. One of the tanks, which the locals knew by the name Pythariaorn, has since been measured to be around 7 miles in length, 300 f feet broad, with 60 foot high earthworks along its biggest embankments. They are largely believed [music] to have been constructed to gain complete control and subsequent mastery of irrigation throughout an impressive span of land. We approached an expert engineer to find out just what sort of feat these giant tanks would be. We received back an estimated price [music] of around $4 million to merely construct the largest sections of the earthworks. They were undoubtedly an unimaginably large undertaking, one which we believe was beyond the capabilities of any ancient group [music] known to modern history. Perhaps the sheer enormity of the undertaking, along with the fact that they would have been far easier to conceal than that of the Great Pyramids, for example, is a possible motive as to why there isn't more known about these marvelous groundworks, or why there is very little documented study, and why any that has been done was by independent historians. Regardless, we find these incredible gigantic hidden ruins highly compelling. Although much of the world has focused their attention and awe upon the unquestionably advanced ancient feat of the ancient pyramids of Giza, Mexico, along with most of southern America, also possesses many equally astonishing feats of a now lost ancient civilization. Gigantic cities perfectly created to house those who built them. Along with what is probably the most significant of ruins, now known as the modern Mexico City, it [music] was once the origins of the settlement itself, although the age is unknown, this magnificent and mysterious place was once known as Tinachtitlan. Quoted as the Venus of the Aztecs, an ancient capital of the Aztec Empire, it initially started as an isolated settlement created on natural islands within the lake Texoko. [music] What makes it special, however, is that it eventually expanded out with a now lost builders of the site, constructing an entire city's foundations, complete with giant pyramidal structures upon artificially constructed floating islands. It contained the palace of Monteuma II said to have once consisted of over 300 rooms [music] as well as hundreds of other temples of considerable proportions. It was eventually destroyed by the Spanish concistadors under Hernand Cortez in 1521. At the time this amazing floating city had an estimated population of 400,000 people. It eventually spread over onto neighboring lakes and also the land surrounding them, covering a span of 5 square miles. It was connected to the mainland by several causeway dikes that terminated in smaller lakeside urban communities. [music] Along with the many pyramid temples, the original construction is still highly debated, clearly due to its inexplicable architectural design and the clear advanced capabilities of its creator. one which does not coincide with the modern paradigms of history. The great market in the burial of Telatoono was reported by the Spaniards to have had at least 60,000 buyers and sellers on the main market day. How did a claimed primitive culture create such an astonishing artificial island city in addition to the ancient pyramids which surrounded it?
