Video summary
In this ambitious culinary challenge, the host and his brother embark on a grueling day-long mission to visit over 25 fast-food locations and rank their French fries without any sauce. The evaluation process quickly reveals that heat, salt content, and specific textures like crinkle cuts play pivotal roles in determining quality, leading to some surprising outcomes. While Freddy's earns an A tier for its consistently tasty, albeit small, fries and Arby's achieves S tier status with its perfect crinkle cut, other chains suffer significantly; Wendy's is downgraded to a C due to an unpleasant aftertaste, Burger King is criticized for thick, rubbery textures, and McDonald's surprisingly lands in the D tier for tasting bland and possessing a flaky mouthfeel.
The rankings take a dramatic turn toward the bottom of the list with several entries deemed unacceptable. White Castle is declared the absolute worst, receiving an F tier not only for its lack of flavor but also for a distinct fishy taste that surpasses even McDonald's in poor quality. Crystal Pizza joins it at the bottom for fries that taste like raw potatoes with a weirdly solid texture and an audible crunch, while Captain D's receives a C tier due to its unique and divisive fish profile. Other chains like Bojangles, Canes, and Steak 'n Shake also struggle, falling into B or D tiers for being inconsistent, too salty, soft, or simply lacking distinct flavor on their own.
Despite the numerous disappointments, the video concludes on a high note with standout performances from Popeyes and Taco Bell. Popeyes earns a coveted S tier rating for its hot, crispy, and flaky fries that lack any weird aftertaste, providing a satisfying end to the challenge. Similarly, Taco Bell's nacho fries are praised for their intense seasoning and Dorito-like taste, securing an S tier spot despite some hesitation regarding their heaviness. Ultimately, while the journey through these 24+ restaurants was filled with underwhelming experiences ranging from blandness to fishy notes, the definitive tier list highlights Arby's as a top contender alongside Popeyes, proving that even in the fast-food world, exceptional fries can still be found if you know where to look.

Today I'm going to every fast food
restaurant and ranking [music] their
French fries.
>> What is up everyone? Today we have a
little bit of a different video. So
hopefully you guys enjoy it. I'm going
out with my brother who's been asking me
to do this for a few years now since the
chicken sandwich tier list which you
guys should go watch on Rxen Live. What
we didn't realize initially was how many
more restaurants have fries that don't
have chicken sandwiches. We ended up
going to 25 plus restaurants in one day,
all in a row, and testing their French
fries. Now, a few things I want to note.
One of the rules is no sauce. If
everybody's using different sauce, it
changes. You know, you might like this
sauce better than the other one. It has
to be a naked French fry. Oh, and if you
like the video, share it with friends
and family, brothers, sisters, friends,
family, those people. So, there's a lot
of restaurants. Let's get to it. We're
headed to [music] our first stop of the
fried tier list. uh 23 restaurants.
We're not including In-N-Out. We're
going to go ahead and throw them in F
tier for fries. But that's the first
then we're going to Wendy's for the real
first. And it's going to be a lot of
restaurants today. But
23 fries. Can I get a [music] small fry
and that's it?
>> One small fry.
>> Yep.
>> All right. We do have frosties on sale
for just a dollar. And we got chocolate
and vanilla. Would you like one? No,
thank you.
>> All righty. I'll have you throw that on,
though.
>> Thank you.
>> You're welcome.
>> They're tempting us early, Phil.
>> Yeah, they're already trying to give us
extra stuff. That is not a good start.
>> Okay, Mike.
>> First fry.
>> Wait, these look these look kind of
good, actually.
>> Well, I mean, keep in mind you're
hungry.
>> Well, no. I'm saying like they they're
hot, though.
>> Okay.
>> They might have changed their fries
>> again. Yeah, for the fourth time. But
these are pretty good, Phil.
>> I think how hot it is out here is going
to make my rating go down.
>> I'm definitely failing the challenge.
Okay. Uh, this doesn't count as failing
the challenge cuz we messed up the
video. This is my first fry.
And it's really hot out here, but that's
really hurting the rating right now. And
I definitely picked the wrong one. I
picked one of the thin ones. They
changed their fries
>> again.
They're the one they're the ones with
all the uh
>> like stuff on the outside.
>> Yeah, they got like the flakes on there.
>> Yeah, that's a new thing people are
doing. And by new, I mean it's just a
thing a lot of things people are doing.
Little crispy, not too crunchy.
The flavor could be a little lacking.
It's not really there. You add that with
some sauce, though. Could be pretty
good. So,
all right. When are we doing our
ratings? You want to do it now?
>> Yeah, let's do it now. It was pretty
good, but there's there's better ones.
There's better flaky fries, whatever you
call those. I'm going to give it a B.
>> A B. Okay,
>> I'm going to give it a B.
>> All right.
>> I think you're right. Definitely better
flaky fries. There's this weird taste in
my mouth now.
>> Yeah,
>> like this aftertaste that I don't like.
And that's really bringing it down. The
cr the crisp and crunch is good. Good
for it, though. So, what in the middle
is like a C or a B?
>> Yeah, C or B.
>> I'm going to go I'm going to be harsh
today. I'm going to go C on these.
>> They're not bad, but they're they're not
D or F, but they're not really good. I'm
not like looking to get these. I
honestly don't want another one. So, I
think that tells the tale.
>> Okay, stop number two. Texas fans unite.
Waterburger is here. We are ready.
We are ready for water. You're not
ready. You're not ready for water.
>> It's going to be the first F tier. Let's
make it quick.
>> It's not Their fries are pretty good
usually.
>> Yeah, usually.
>> If you pick a Can I get a small fry and
that's it?
catch up.
>> No, thank you.
>> Okay.

>> Hey Mike, how the fries
stole it.
>> They actually are very Look how thick
that is.
>> Yeah. Look at
>> that go.
>> You said it was going to be F tier.
>> I just hate water burger. He's a He's a
water hater.
>> I ate it. I was like, "Wow, it's so
hot." Wait, it tastes like nothing.
>> Yeah, they they actually do taste like
nothing.
>> There's a little bit of salt on that
last one. They're They're They cooked
them really good. It kind of tastes like
a like a McDonald's fry a little bit.
>> That's what I always think about them.
They taste kind of like McDonald's
fries.
>> Yeah, they I feel like they should be
The thing about these is they hold up
better when they're cold. McDonald's
fries, but the their peak is not as
good.
>> Yeah. I mean, they just didn't get
salted.
>> That's definitely better than the
Wendy's one.
>> Oh, yeah.
>> Easily better than the Wendy's one. I'm
going to go ahead and fail the
challenge.
>> Wow. Failing before me.
>> Yeah.
>> All that smack.
>> I only have to
>> All that smack. No, you still ate more.
[laughter]
>> Definitely better. So, I'm going to go
B+ right now. I could move it if we end
up having a bunch of terrible ones, but
I'm going to go B+. So, top of the B
tier. What do you got, Mike?
>> I'm I'm saying uh I'm I'm staying a
little a high B tier. High B here. A
little better than Wendy's.
>> So, we agree. Water Burger pretty good
fries.
>> If Freddy's loses to Waterburger, I'm
going to be pissed.
>> All right, we got a big steak.
>> Oh, wait. There's three more people,
though. Disadvantage.
>> Yeah, but it's Freddy's. You know, they
know what they're doing. Can I get a
small fry and that's it?
>> All righty.
>> Okay. Thank you.
>> Dang, that's steep. 302.
That's like 30 more cents than Wendy's.
All right. Highly anticip Whoa. He's
going all in. That counts as one for
Freddy's.
>> That's good stuff right there.
>> High quality French fries. Solid, salty,
tasteful.
>> Now, since they're tiny, does that give
you plus or minus points?
>> I don't I would rather them not be tiny,
but just think of how consistent you can
get with a tiny fry. You know what I'm
saying? They're always good.
>> Yeah. I kind of hate that they're tiny.
It's just a pain.
>> But have you ever had a bad Freddy f
>> when you I don't know. I'm about to try
them. But whenever you get to the end
and they're all this big and you have to
pick them up and try to dip them in
sauce and it's impossible. Are we going
on the shape or the or the taste or
>> it all factors into the tier list?
>> Okay. Okay.
>> Tiny fries have always bothered me as I
mentioned. I don't like how small they
are because it's just annoying. Like
you're trying to dip them in. Look at
all these different sizes I have. Look,
how am I supposed to dip that? I have to
like align them specifically to dip them
into a sauce which they have 50 sauces.
They want you to dip them, but then they
give you these fries, which is very
annoying.
Now, when you actually eat them, then
you're much happier. And I so grouchy.
It's like, "Oh, these are good."
>> And just think, we're eating them
without fry sauce.
>> Exactly.
>> My goodness.
>> Like, I don't even need fry sauce right
now. I can just eat them and they're
pretty good. And they don't have like
the weird taste a lot do. Like
waterburger kind of has. Has that kind
of weird taste to it. these.
See, if you just eat a little bit of
one, I'm not even tasting anything. You
have to have at least two.
So, that kind of is a minus. So, I can't
put them at like the top. But, they're
the best fries we've had. So, I got to
go A tier for these. What about you?
>> I think it's an easy A tier. It's like
not even close. They're They're way
better than that.
>> Not even considering the S tier.
>> No, I just didn't feel it, you know?
>> Feel it? Yeah, it's going to really blow
you away.
>> There's something lacking. You know what
I'm saying?
>> It got to blow you away. So, still a
great performance by Freddy's, even
though the drive-thru took a long time,
but they had three cars, so they did
okay.
>> Thank you for choosing Arby's you can
order when you're ready.
>> Can I get a small curly fry and a small
regular fry?
>> Sure. What else can I get for you?
>> That's it.
>> All right. Do you need any dipping sauce
to go with it?
>> No, thank you.
>> Okay. I will have a total for you at the
window.
>> Thanks.
>> Thank you. We're trying out both the OG.
There's no one in the line. Oh, this is
going to be good for their record.
>> Except it's bad for their, you know,
business, [laughter]
>> right?
>> All right. Our first chance at two
different types of fries. Arby's knows
how to try different stuff. That's why
they got 100 menu items.
>> Yeah. 100 menu items and zero people.
>> Zero people in the line at lunchtime.
>> I like And another thing, contrary to
Freddy's, they give you huge fries, so
you definitely taste them.
>> Wow. Oh, it's so good.
So, uh, nostalgic.
Well, you can see you can see the salt
particles on.
>> That's not nostalgic, but it's salty.
>> Wow. You even got the RB sign in the
background. That's That's crazy.
>> Are you blown away or are you
disappointed?
>> That was way better than I thought.
>> I kind of had a feeling looking at
those. You got to give it a second
second gander.
Double try.
>> Those are pretty good.
>> I'm getting excited. I want to try them.
>> Those are pretty good.
>> Those are
>> Anything specific besides the salt
particles you want to mention about
them?
>> About the about the crinkle? I mean,
they're they're like perfect.
>> I mean, perfect.
>> I don't I'm not saying the taste.
They're cooked perfectly.
>> Okay. Okay.
>> Perfect is a strong word to be using on
the tier list.
>> All right. I'll start with the the old
faithful. You got a big curl, so I need
>> I know.
You can't go wrong with that.
>> It's awesome.
>> They're always like not super crispy,
but it works.
They have a little bit of a different
taste than every other kind of fries.
So, if you like that, you'll like those.
If you don't like that taste, you'll
hate them. Now, look at that bad boy.
>> Look how solid that is.
>> Look at that.
>> That's beautiful.
Did you get a bad one?
>> No. That's good.
>> I was about to say.
>> Whoa. I remember these being like super
bland and boring.
>> You like them more?
>> I think I like them more than the curly
fries.
>> Wow. I don't know.
>> I think I like them more than the
Freddy's fries.
>> I think I I I think I like them more,
too.
Imagine that with some sauce.
>> I can't even think of a Like, how could
it be better? I don't know. Those ones
can't be better. Specifically,
>> I think I honestly think those crinkle
fries are S tier fries.
>> Yeah. [laughter]
>> Like I'm not even kidding.
>> Those were really good.
>> Hurlies are
How are they compared? They're better
than water burgers. So, they're like low
A tier and these are like low S tier.
These are really good.
>> Like really really good. What do you
think, Mike?
>> Hold on. I want I need another curly.
>> There is something wrong with it, but
it's just true. Eat them back to back.
>> I did I did the first time and that's
how I feel.
>> Like the curly is pretty good, but then
you put in the the crinkle and you you
try that
>> it gets diff.
>> Yeah, whatever whatever that means. But
yeah, I agree.
>> I'm not going low A tier. They can they
mid to high. They feel good.
>> All right, that's respectable.
>> Way better than some of the other ones.
Yeah, they're they're better than
everything but Freddy's so far. I think
>> Freddy's is probably comparable.
>> Okay.
>> Different, you know.
>> All right. All right. Burger King. I
have a high expect. No, I'm just
kidding. [laughter]
I do not. Can I get the best order of
small French fries you have?
>> I'm sorry. What order?
>> I want a small French fry, but I just
want to know you're really good.
>> All right.
if if that's possible. If not, I
understand. I still want the small fry,
though.
>> I got you.
>> Uh, that's it.
>> All right.
>> Thanks. He was like, "What?" [laughter]
>> Whopper Wednesday. What do you think?
>> We didn't get a Whopper, so I can't
really
>> It's Wednesday. We didn't get a Whopper.
>> I know. This is messed up. We didn't get
the $1 Frosty.
>> We failed.
Huh?
>> I don't know, man. They just taste like
rubber.
>> Rubber fries.
>> Like they're just they're so big. Like
thick.
>> It's like the opposite of Freddy's.
>> You're chewing through so much potato.
Like look at this guy.
>> That is a honk.
>> Huge.
>> That's a honk fry.
>> It tastes pretty good. Like the salt's
pretty good. They're just too big, man.
Other than that, it's okay. So, it's
probably, you know, I have an idea of
where I'd put that. Good rubbery.
>> I don't know. I kind of like it.
>> I don't I don't think it tastes bad.
>> You like a thick fry. It's not bad.
>> It's in the same tier as Waterburgers.
So, I'm going to put it as a B. It's
okay. It's serviceable. It's better than
average, I think.
>> I don't know. I I honestly I don't know.
I don't even think I like it better than
Wendy's.
>> Wow. That bad, huh?
>> It's not I don't know. [clears throat] I
think it's like a seed.
>> Okay. I think that's that's fair.
>> I didn't want to go back for more.
>> I did go back for more.
>> I feel like imagine you're eating the
burger and then your fries are like It's
like a It feels like a pound in your
stomach. Like I don't want
>> Yeah, definitely not a good combo with
your burger.
>> I don't want that.
>> Yeah,
>> it's got to be a C.
>> Okay, that's fair.
>> It's time for Sonic, our sixth
restaurant. And I have low expectations.
This car has been here since we got
here.
So, that's not looking good.
>> Okay. But they just ordered, so we're
good.
>> Can I get a small fry with a side of
extra tasty?
>> Yeah. Small fry with what?
>> Uh, just just make them extra tasty.
>> Say that one more time.
>> Uh, can you just make them really good?
You know, like I'm just in the mood for
a good fry. Yeah,
>> a fresh. Yeah, that'll work. Yeah.
>> No salt.
>> Uh, I want salt. Yeah.
>> Fresh fries. Small.
>> Yeah.
>> All right. Would that be all for you?
>> That's it.
>> So, small fresh fries. Does that sound
correct?
>> Yes.
>> Here.
>> Thank you.
>> Why do I feel like fresh is something on
their menu?
>> Yeah. She was like She was like just
changed it to something else. I hope I
didn't screw up the fries.
>> Yeah. Maybe maybe their originals are
called fresh and they're the groovy ones
or I think maybe they have two fries.
>> Was I supposed to get the groovy ones,
too?
>> I don't think so. I mean, they're just
crinkle fries. I don't think they're
anything.
>> Yeah, I didn't even think I'm I'm glad
we didn't get the groovy.
>> Those are like a special.
>> Those are a fad. They're not going to
stay around.
>> So, we got groovy.
>> I think they only have these.
>> Oh, they've retired to groovy style,
huh?
>> I think so. I don't know. They said it's
the freshest one. So,
>> all right. What are we looking at? How
groovy are you feeling? Side to Mc
Tasty.
>> Maybe Mc Tasty for the main course.
>> Wow.
>> Pretty good.
>> I said, "Have we had a Yeah, we did. The
Arby's one.
>> Is it better than the Arby's? There's no
way.
>> I'll just let you give it a taste.
>> You didn't even say anything. That's
weird.
>> It could be anything. Phil,
>> side of extra tasty right here.
>> Just feel the heat. Still the heat.
>> Double whammy.
>> Wow, it's hot. I almost can't even taste
anything.
>> Okay.
Pretty good.
>> I know.
>> What's going on here?
>> Why the the crinkle fries are good
today?
>> What happened to this thing?
>> My crinkle fry died.
>> I think so. No,
>> the taste is not
>> The taste is actually
>> Yeah, I think other than Yeah, maybe the
taste is a little a little less good.
>> It's made Well,
>> yeah, I think the other stuff is equal.
>> It's good. That it'd be good with sauce
>> for sure. The groovy sauce.
>> Side of extra tasty A tier. Pretty good.
>> Uh
I don't know. Those were pretty good. I
like that taste. I'm I'm throwing I'm
throwing in an S2.
>> Whoa. Another. What are my S's right
now? That two crinkles.
>> Yeah, crinkle them. You're a crinkle
guy.
>> I am a crinkle guy.
>> Crinkle guy.
>> I don't know. There's contention. I
don't know if they're They might be
better than the Arby's ones, but I
don't.
>> Well, my top dog right now is Arby's.
What's your top dog? You got to make a
decision.
>> Which one did you like better,
>> you know? Yeah. We're not going to be
able to remember.
>> Arby's.
>> Yeah. Okay.
>> Arby's is still the goat.
>> And they've got two good fries. I think
the Sonic one had a little bit of a bad
taste like at the aftertaste.
>> It definitely had more of an aftertaste.
I don't know if I I don't know if I
disliked it, but
>> yeah, it's got to have a good
aftertaste. I think the Arby's did.
>> Yeah.
>> And now speaking of Arby's, we're with
the sister Hardies, which are not
actually sisters, but they have very
similar names. So, let's see if these
are going to be good. I have my doubts,
but I've had my doubts before, like with
Sonic. Can I please get a small fry?
I mean, I would actually like multiple
fries, but a smallsized fry would work.
>> So, how many?
>> Just one, but like not just one fry. I
want
>> Oh, you want the whole bag of fries?
>> Yeah. Yeah.
>> Just a small fry.
>> Yes. Yeah, cuz I mean one fry. I mean,
who really only wants one fry? Not me.
>> That'd be Yeah.
>> Is that all for you today?
>> That's it.
>> 295.
>> Thank you. See? She gets it.
>> This lady knows what's up. She's trying
to have some fun today.
>> All right. I'm rooting for Hardies cuz I
like their their staff.
>> I got two.
>> We're right next to the road. It's a
little loud, but
they're pretty good. Good salt. They're
I think I think they're making them
fresh whenever you only get fries.
They're They've all been out.
>> Yeah, they know what they're doing.
They're not messing around. They're
>> pretty good.
They're not quite getting up there with
the with the big dogs.
>> Yeah,
>> they're pretty I mean, these are I'd eat
these.
>> You eat these.
>> They're pretty good.
>> Yeah,
>> they got a grease taste to them, but I
kind of like it, you know? Like
sometimes you need a little grease cuz
it can get bland if you don't have it.
>> These are I like these better. You got
Burger King in B or A?
>> I have them in B. These are definitely
better than Burger King.
>> I think so, too.
>> These are like tied with Burger King
here. They're pretty solid.
>> Yeah, I I Yeah, I agree. They're not
They're better. They're different.
>> They're definitely better than mid.
>> Yes,
>> they've got to be They've got to be like
at least
>> them without sauce, too.
>> Oh, yeah.
>> All right. All right. Good job, Arties.
>> All right. This is about to get serious.
>> Mickey De's,
you don't think McDonald's is going to
be higher than a B? Is that what you
just said?
>> I don't know. But I
>> Cuz you're liking a lot of it.
>> I'm trying. Yeah. I'm I'm thinking the
honestly is pretty strong.
>> What I'm learning right now is it's
pretty hard to mess up a fry.
>> And the more I'm eating, the the more
I'm downgrading Burger King. I think I'm
moving Burger King to see.
>> Can I get the best batch of small fries
you have?
>> The biggest batch.
>> I want the small ones, but I want them
to be amazing.
>> Oh, okay. Great. So, you want the gold
standard? Yes, sir.
>> Yes, I do. Gold standard. Exactly.
That's the words I was looking for.
>> We're going to make it cooked to order
for you.
>> Thank you so much.
>> My pleasure. My pleasure, sir. Would
that be all for you?
>> That's it.
>> Thank you very much. Please come to the
first window. Your total is going to be
251.
>> All right. Thank you.
>> Yes, sir.
>> This actually might be the cheapest for
us, too. That guy was goated.
>> He's like the gold standard.
>> He already got you. He's like bam, bam,
bam. Sweet.
>> All right. Mike energize with Red Bull.
Recommended by Mickey D's. McDonald's
plus Red Bull is not going to be great
for Red Bull.
>> Uh they're sponsored apparently.
>> These are like hard to hold. They're so
hot.
>> Yeah, that's the gold standard.
>> Standard.
>> I don't know, ma'am.
>> They kind of taste like nothing.
>> Oh no. The gold standard.
They were definitely cooked to order.
>> Okay.
>> But there's no salt.
>> No salt.
>> There's no salt. And the problem with
McDonald's is without salt, they taste
like nothing. Nothing.
>> Oh no. McDonald's flopped on us.
>> There's nothing on there. It's just some
some potato flakings.
>> Oh no.
>> No. It's
>> not the gold standard.
>> No. It's nothing. Oh,
>> looks great. There's nothing else.
>> Wow. I'm so sad right now.
>> I I refuse to believe it. I'm going have
to try it myself.
>> There's going to be some bias in here.
>> What are you feeling right now?
>> This is THE WORST CRY. [laughter]
WHY? Gold stick. [laughter]
>> I got to try one more.
>> I tried four. They were all the same.
>> I got to try one more.
>> There's nothing.
>> I know.
>> How is there nothing?
>> What about this one? This has it in the
left.
No.
>> Like I can't even in good conscious put
this at a C tier. No, it's it's worse
than every other fried.
>> I think this is an F tier.
>> F.
>> Like they're cooked well, but they they
taste awful. They just like like bad.
>> It's It's like paper.
>> Imagine these when they get cold.
>> Yeah, that's Yeah, they're like floppy.
>> Yeah, that's bad.
>> No. And I loved that guy, too.
>> It's cuz he didn't make them. He was at
the first window.
>> Wow. I don't think I think F's still
>> okay. Okay. If they were soggy, that
would be F. So, because we have to leave
room for that. So, this is a D.
>> Yeah, it's got F is F is too hard.
>> They at least the texture is good. But
>> yeah, these are they're solid and
they're hot and they're like they're
cooked good. Like they can't be an S.
>> I'm just I'm just imagining a cold one
of these.
>> Well, good thing we're not eating a cold
one.
>> But the thing about McDonald's is they
have that like flake that's really not
good.
>> Yes. Yeah.
>> And I can taste it right now and it's
bad. So D. It's got to be D.
>> That's tragic.
>> That's unfortunate. That dude was the
goat, too.
>> He He evenard about the gold standard.
>> Hardy's outclassing the Mickey D's.
>> Forgot to go to Hardies, though.
>> He'd never heard of that before.
>> Back to Hardies.
>> Bojangles.
Bberry biscuit.
>> It's time. Would you like to try our
legendary bacon ranch biscuit combo
today?
>> No, thank you.
What can I get for you today?
>> Are we talking to an AI?
>> I don't know.
>> Are you Are you a fake person? Is that
not part of the menu?
>> No, it's not part of the menu.
>> It's bow time. Go ahead with your order.
>> Okay, it's bow time. Could I have bow
timed it with the uh the AI or or do you
answer all the time?
>> I am a real person. That was AI.
>> Yeah. If I had just like ordered, would
it have taken my order?
>> She would have.
>> Oh, that's cool. Okay. Well, I want to
bow time it with a small fry.
>> That meal
steak fries
>> consistently bad.
>> They are hot. Yes. Consistently bad.
>> I actually normally like their fries. I
think last I had them.
Huh.
Good steak fry.
Better than normal. I don't I It tastes
like I can taste the biscuit. Like it's
cooked right next to a biscuit. It's not
which isn't bad.
>> Biscuit vicinity. You're going to have
to add that in.
>> My turn. Consistently bad. Uh steak fry.
This they put seasoning on the regular
fries, so it's not cheating. That's
>> what they normally do.
>> We didn't ask for anything except bow
time. Yeah, steak fries definitely need
seasoning cuz they're normally bland.
These are not bland cuz they have
seasoning on them.
They're still steak fry. A lot of
potato.
>> Yeah, that's very thick.
>> Lot of potato. And I can tell from
experience eating a whole thing of
these, you feel terrible afterwards. So
that's got to be negative. I don't want
to put them in C because C it's been
pretty bad. So I I'll say like bottom of
B somewhere. Now that Burger King is out
of B, I feel good in putting these in B.
Burger King and C. These are definitely
a B tier. What do you think?
>> Um
I think I had Burger King and
Waterburger and C.
I don't Those were just too basic, you
know? Like these are these are at least
different. They got something else going
on.
>> I think B is okay. Maybe low B.
>> Yeah, nothing crazy. Nothing crazy.
>> Definitely not consistently B. There's
got to be sometimes those are pretty
bad, but
>> I think low B. That's okay. That's fine.
>> That's okay.
>> They always look good.
>> Okay.
>> Micah knew the person in there. So,
we'll see if they hooked us up.
>> Make them extra good. So,
>> yeah, he did give us a little bit of
extra.
>> Are they hot?
>> Mhm.
>> We didn't get Cajun cuz that's not their
normal.
>> The occasion are good. Whoa, that's
super hot. Hold on. I got to get give it
a second.
>> Pass this out.
>> That [laughter] hurt.
>> That's the hottest one so far. Okay,
let's go back in.
>> They literally like we watched them pick
them up though. So,
>> I hate to do it. These are just not that
good. [laughter]
>> And these were made specially.
>> Yeah, they they need Cajun. That That's
usually needed.
>> Without the Cajun.
>> What were they? $645. They're like
double. But how many they give us?
>> A ton. You know, this is for three
people.
>> They do give you a lot. You just have to
know to share with somebody.
>> They're not great. Not great. I don't
really like their fries that much.
>> The Cajuns are so good.
>> Okay. They're definitely They're better.
>> Oh, yeah. They're
>> They taste like they were just me.
>> I know. It's super hot.
>> Oh, wow. Not kidding.
>> I like them fine. If you're eating with
like ketchup, these are probably pretty
good.
>> Yeah, with the with sauce, they're
definitely good. Um,
they taste actually like like real
potatoes and stuff. So like they taste a
little bit more fresh than some of the
other ones that are like grease filled
or whatever.
I feel like V has become my mid tier,
but and C is kind of like the worst one.
So I'm going to kind of stick with that
and uh just go B on these. I think
that's kind of where they belong.
They're better than Burger King. They're
not much better than many other ones.
They're definitely better than
McDonald's, sadly. But
>> yeah,
>> I mean I' I'd say
>> I'd say they're probably on par with
Hardies.
>> They're maybe a little better. So
probably still in B.
>> Yeah.
>> C Yeah. C is become like just cuz all of
them are so good. C is
>> we have to leave F open for really bad
and then S is like has to be really
good. So it's like
>> even D tier was like fresh.
>> Yeah.
>> So it's like you can't put it in C.
That's not fair. It's probably got to be
a B.
>> Okay.
>> All right. It's chicken chicken fillet
time.
>> We got your order.
>> Phil P H I L. What can I get for you?
>> I want a small fry, but I need them to
be good.
>> Okay, I got you. Any sauce for you?
>> No, no sauce. Just the fries.
>> It's going to be 240.
>> 240. That's was pretty good.
>> We're all set.
>> Thank you very much. You, too.
>> He's like, "Of course they're going to
be good." What are you talking about?
>> I don't know. He wasn't questioning at
all.
>> I've never been a fan of waffle fries.
>> They can be good. They're very in
they're probably the most inconsistent.
>> The most inconsistent for sure.
>> Yeah, they go from being terrible to
being really good. Just depends.
>> All right, time for the best fries in
the history of ever.
>> Ever. How many people are here? It
should be
>> the most people in the drive-thru for
sure.
>> Do we get the good or the bad batch?
And I'm not talking about the clones.
Well,
the bad batch is like soggy, you know.
Those were gross. These are not soggy.
>> So, we got the good batch.
>> You know, they don't move.
>> We got the clones that were uh mind
controlled instead.
>> What was that guy's name?
>> Echo.
>> I don't know.
>> Okay.
>> I don't I just don't get it.
>> Just don't understand it. Where's the
taste? There's a little bit in there,
but it's like, why do people like these
so much?
>> Just where is it? Just taste.
>> They like, you know what? They like
Chick-fil-A sauce. They don't like these
fries.
>> Yeah, Chick-fil-A sauce is pretty good.
>> It does carry pretty hard.
>> They have taste.
>> This This begs the discussion of what do
you want for fried? Do you want it to
taste like something itself or do you
want it to be a delivery of sauce?
>> It's got to It's got to have both, man.
Like,
>> if it has both, I think that's
>> It's always a delivery for the sauce,
but it's just better if it tastes
own thing.
>> All right. Good batch. Let's find out.
>> Not quite the best batch. The salt is a
little lacking,
>> right?
>> Crispy. That's good.
Yeah.
I don't get it.
That's fine. Definitely need some sauce.
>> Yeah. It's It's like the salt is okay,
but they other than salt, they taste
like nothing. Like it's
>> Yeah. This can't make it up to an A
tier. We're in the the normal the
fiddle. B
>> B is definitely oversaturated.
>> Plenty of bees.
>> B has to have the most middle.
>> No, I No, I I agree. This is a B. Just
there's so many.
>> Everything's average. That's what we're
figuring out. Everything's average
except
>> Arby's crinkle fries. [laughter]
Heading to the Dairy Queen.
>> Do you know what I mean?
>> Dairy Queen. Dairy Queen.
>> Dairy. Dairy Queen.
>> Welcome Dairy Queen. How can I help you?
>> Can I get the Queen's best small fry
that she has to offer?
>> I gota gotcha.
>> Forgot you. You get like a basket for
your fries.
>> A basket of fry. That's our first basket
of fries.
>> Yeah, this is new. Not going to lie.
>> All right. We were threatened to like
these. So, let's see. They're
>> not. You're not feeling good.
>> Are they the queen's best or did she
hand it off to the princess or
something?
>> They might be the queen's best, but I
don't know. I don't know what the
queen's max performance is.
>> Her max performance is pretty low.
>> Not impressed.
>> You just can't you can't give them a
good rating for being cooked well
anymore. They're all cooked well.
>> Yeah. So far, no one has dropped the
ball on cooking them. So, I got to The
fast food game is on is on today.
This is barely better than McDonald's.
>> Oh, no.
>> It doesn't taste like I'm telling you,
it doesn't taste like anything.
>> Wow. We haven't seen anything below B in
a while. So, okay. All right. I got to
try these now.
>> I mean, it's just nothing.
>> You just get nothing out of them. Okay.
>> Maybe maybe a maybe a rank up. Maybe a
rank up.
>> Let me try these. Barely better than
McDonald's.
>> They they have a little bit of taste.
>> We got threaten. You got to keep that in
mind. Yeah, they're they're they're
better than McDonald's, but not by a
ton.
>> The only taste is grease.
>> Yeah. So, do they really have taste? I
don't know.
>> I honestly think they're just they're
just low B.
>> No, they got to be Ctier. Every
>> They're worse than everything in B. They
don't taste like anything.
>> They're not bad. They're just
>> Well, it's not that they're bad. It's
just they're worse. Okay, I think my
list was a little messed up because I
have Wendy's in B, but looking back on
those fries that they add that stuff on
them but really don't taste like
anything. And compared to the Dairy
Queen, I actually think I like Dairy
Queen better than those. So, I'm going
to move those from Wendy's down to C
below the Dairy Queen. Uh, kind of where
they belong where they're like edible,
but like you wouldn't really pick them
over really anything else unless they
were like really bad like McDonald's.
So, I think that makes my list make a
little bit more sense. So, we're gonna
move one more thing. Okay, Taco Bell
time.
>> Are you taking with your app to earn
reward points?
>> I'm not.
>> Whenever you're ready.
>> Can I have the best batch of nacho fries
that's ever been made at a Taco Bell,
please?
>> So, you wanted a regular large fry?
>> Regular, please.
All right, this is your highest hopes
over here. The biggest Taco Bell fan in
the world. It's probably cuz he's 19
years old, so checks out. It'll pass in
a couple years.
>> Oh yeah, those are good though. Burning
hot.
>> Burning hot.
>> Oh yeah.
>> Check out that's a man enjoying the
fries right there. S tier, baby. Slap
him IN S TIER.
>> OH, YOU DIDN'T EVEN WAIT.
>> NO, no reason.
>> No reason, Phil. Just get it. Just get a
taste.
>> An S tier. Oh,
>> get a taste.
>> Strong. I don't know about that.
>> Yeah. Yeah, you do. You will get one of
them. Oh, yeah.
>> Wow.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah, it is.
>> It's like a Dorito fry.
>> Yeah, it's sweet. Look at that.
>> Wow.
>> Look at the crisp.
>> When you're 19, that's really tasty.
>> Oh, it's so good. like me. It hurts.
>> It's awesome.
>> S tier. Throw it in S tier, Phil. You
know you want to.
>> I don't think I can eat all those.
>> But just think how good they are.
>> They taste good.
>> Yes.
>> But like just eating one and a half of
them, I feel like I might have clogged
an artery right there.
>> That's awesome. What do you want from
Taco Bell?
>> That's a good point.
It's hard to compare them because
they're so different. They're actually
kind of like the Bojangles because they
have so much seasoning on them.
Definitely better than those cuz they're
a real fry.
>> Personally, I got to put them in a tier
cuz I don't want to die.
>> Oh, so close.
>> So close.
>> See how you if you can inhale these and
live afterwards, then maybe.
>> And just think with cheese. Oo,
>> cheese. You have the cheese in
>> the cheese.
>> Very heavy. I I'll put them in a tier
though. They're good. Oh, so tasty.
>> We are about to enter the box, the Jack
in the Box,
and we're going to see just how tasty it
is. This is a restaurant I've only been
to a couple of times ever, and I can
tell you they're tacos.
>> What about them curly? Can they compare
to Arby's?
>> They look a lot like Arby's.
>> Hi
on Instagram.
>> Yeah. I don't know what he said.
>> The king kangaroo, I think.
>> All right. The kid kangaroo or king or
something.
>> You can't go wrong with the curly fry.
>> Those are probably They're probably just
as good.
>> As good as what? Arby's.
>> Those are Arby's. Yeah.
>> Yeah. Okay.
>> These are mint.
They're just like They're fine. You can
eat these and not really remember
anything about it.
>> You don't remember anything at all? It
just wipes your brain.
You got mind rubbed. That's kind of how
I'm feeling after however many fries
you've eaten.
>> Yeah, they're not standing out as much.
>> I mean, yeah, they're like not nothing
about this is bad. Nothing about it is
like I want to I would never eat this.
Like it's just like okay. It's a filler
sauce holder.
It's whatever.
>> All right.
>> This one was terrible. Oh,
>> okay. I was I didn't get a bad one.
>> It was like It was like hard. Where's
the curling f?
>> Mine aren't curly back.
>> Oh, you missed missed out on the curls.
>> I drop a curl.
>> I can't get this.
>> Yeah. Get Get a real curly one.
>> You're getting screwed over here.
>> Yeah.
very similar to Arby's. It's hard to
differentiate.
>> Yeah. I don't really know how they even
make those. They taste pretty much the
same.
>> I think they are the same. So, I guess
I'll just put them next to each other at
a tier. I don't really even have a
preference. They taste exactly the same.
>> Yeah, they I wouldn't know the
difference if you put them in front of
me.
>> These might be a little more crispy than
the Arby's ones were. So, I'll just put
them ahead of Arby's because these are
slightly better. Slightly. The other
ones are they're a skincare.
>> Yeah. Like they're just nothing.
>> The newly remodeled Zachbies. Wow. Looks
completely different now. Are they open
is the question.
>> We have a test subject.
>> This test subject will let us know.
>> Thank you for choosing. My name is
Justin. Can we get $10 today?
>> No, thank you. But can I try the new and
improved fries?
>> Uh, I'm sorry. Is that the fries?
>> Yeah, small fry. New and improved
building. New and improved fries. It's
got to be good.
>> Oh, yeah. All right. You want to order
fries? Do you want regular or large
fries?
>> Regular, please.
>> All righty. Order regular fries. What
else can I get for you?
>> That's all I want.
>> All righty. I'll be 327 at the window
for you.
>> All right. Thank you.
>> I feel like now we're getting to
everything's over $3 now. It was like
two something at the beginning. Now
they're all like 320 39.
>> Look at all the sauces on the building.
>> Look how cool this is.
>> I like the new and improved.
[laughter]
>> I was I didn't know what was about to
happen. Oh, yes. Wait, they gave us
sauce, too. But
>> they gave us sauce with the fries. No
extra charge.
>> Remember the old days when that was a
default?
>> Oh, yeah. Here we go.
>> Let's see. Let's see those.
>> Okay. I don't know.
>> One of the best restaurants of all time
right here.
>> Look at the new and improved building,
too. It says Zach.
>> Let me get some seasoning.
>> They shorten their own name to say
Zachs. That's pretty bold.
>> I might not even I wouldn't even know
what this place was. Yeah, it didn't
have Zax on it.
>> Man,
the seasoning really helps. I can tell
without the seasoning I would
>> There's like a seasoned tier, too.
There's the Bojangles, there's the Taco
Bell nacho fries, and there's these.
>> It would be It would be the same problem
as a steak fry because there's so much
potato.
>> Yeah.
>> But since they're seasoned, they're
okay.
>> Okay. That's not starting off great for
Zach's bees. Well, you know, they've all
been none of them have been bad except
McDonald's.
>> Whoa. Whoa.
>> That's pretty good. I don't know. It's
just a lot of potato.
>> Lot of potato.
>> You can tell it's the seasoning.
>> Okay.
>> Season of fries.
>> Oh, yeah. Lot of potato.
>> Yeah.
>> Seasoning is the best of all the
seasonings, though. I really like these
though. as a huge Zach fan
and it's purely because of the
seasoning.
So, my bias has this in A tier, but they
don't belong up there.
If you don't like the seasoning, you're
going to hate these. But, I I like them
a lot more than all my Btier ones. So,
I'll put them in A tier.
>> I think I think with with the seasoning
and with like I have to average it. It's
probably a B. Yeah, I think it's
probably better way to do it, but
>> I can't I can't let down.
>> It's hard. It's hard to put Zach's below
a It hurts.
>> Yeah, it's pretty.
>> I got I got to do it.
>> Oh, they got special.
>> When I think of fries from Crystal, I
think of literally a raw potato.
>> The last time I was here, I got food
poisoning. Not this specific one.
>> But I different.
>> We should just get a baked potato.
>> Dude, this is going to diff everybody.
>> You know what I'm saying?
>> Yeah, it is. It is. It's going to be
better.
It's going to be easily It's going to be
diff easily diff.
>> It's going to be diffed. Hi Crystal. I
have a Crystal craving and I think the
only way to fill that is a small fry
from Crystal. So that's what I want.
>> You said a small way
>> French fry. Just the fries.
>> French fry.
>> Yeah.
>> Gotcha. Small fry. Anything else?
>> That's it.
>> I got a crystal craving.
>> Stonefaced.
>> She just didn't even react.
>> All business. All business just like
Jack in the Box.
>> She doesn't waver. I got to give her
credit. Nothing makes her falter.
>> Straight straight to it.
>> Nothing makes the masks.
>> It's still on.
>> Is it a mask or is it just
>> Maybe that's just
>> pure composure.
>> Yeah, that's just how they might roll.
Composure.
>> That's impressive.
>> How they look?
>> Like cookouts, old fries.
>> Okay,
>> I see some salt.
>> [laughter]
>> There's like an audible crunch
>> in a bad way.
>> Yeah.
>> Oh no. Did you get a bad one?
>> No.
>> That's how it's supposed to be.
>> They're just that bad, huh?
We just saw a crystal.
>> Okay. Look,
they have taste. It tastes like crystal.
>> I got to try. I got to try.
>> That's the worst part.
It's like weirdly solid.
[laughter]
>> It kind of tastes how I thought it was
going to.
>> I know.
[laughter]
>> Let me try a different one.
>> It's very distinct.
It
>> Wow. [laughter]
Can I I would never eat these again.
>> That's a fry that makes you think, what
am I doing with my life?
>> It makes you appreciate the ones that
taste like nothing.
>> Wow. I'm like trying to decide if I'd
rather have the McDonald's nothing
fries.
>> I would. This is an F tier.
>> There is a taste to it.
>> No, it's a bad taste. It tastes bad.
Like that. It's
>> You got to respect.
>> I'd rather it be nothing than taste bad.
It tastes It tastes like the the fish
fry from Captain D's.
Like it smells like it.
>> Yeah, these don't need to be eaten.
>> No,
>> I think we found our worst.
>> It's got to be an F tier. McDonald's is
free.
>> Yeah, that these are These are bad.
Nothing. [laughter]
>> F.
>> Crystal, come on, bro.
>> Okay, we forgot to mention that. What
was it? 7:14 in the drive-thru.
>> Yeah, it it it was actually like 7:34.
>> That's the new record, right? By a lot.
>> By like 2 minutes.
>> Yeah. Like literally the slowest one.
>> Yes.
>> There was two people in front of us. Not
even the most people we've had.
>> Canes isn't too packed.
>> Can doesn't have 100 people here. Let's
go. All right. So, we've done 15. So, we
have 10 left. 10 left. Canes is about to
step up and rid us of the taste of
>> Easy Crystal.
>> Come on, Canes.
Let everybody know. It's not just
because of the sauce.
>> Let them know. People say it's all about
the sauce and the bread, but they don't
know.
>> They don't know.
>> They don't understand.
>> You're no ball.
>> Can I get your best and tastiest order
of a small fry?
>> Yeah, I got you. Anything else?
>> That's it.
>> Did you want any sauce or anything for
that? Nope.
>> All right, Mike.
Only not eight left after this. So,
we're getting serious now.
The best fries in the business.
>> Canes better than Crystal?
>> Is Can's the best fry you've ever had?
>> No. That's too bad.
>> No.
No. Can sauce? Is the propaganda true?
Is it all about the sauce?
>> I can literally like taste the sauce
when I eat these. I've never had it by
itself. You've only had it with the
sauce.
>> I'm not Yeah, they're not very good with
that sauce.
>> Yeah,
>> the salt's good. The salt's pretty good.
>> Yeah,
>> you know, they got a good amount on
there. They're cooked pretty good.
They're a little wobbly.
>> I don't know. It's pretty mint.
>> They got an interview going on behind
you.
>> Really?
>> We should tell them about the fries.
>> Yeah. Hey, how do you think about these
fries?
>> I mean, you know, nothing special here.
>> All right.
Best fries in business.
>> Trying to make sure they're not in
frame.
>> Pretty solid.
>> I like these fries.
>> There's nothing There's nothing bad
here. You know,
>> I like these fries.
>> No.
>> If you eat all these, like a bunch of
these by themselves, I probably get kind
of old.
>> Salt's good. It does have a They do have
a little bit of that weird taste when
you eat too much of them and it kind of
just sits.
>> So,
I think these are probably a B here.
>> I don't even know. I don't even know if
I'd go far enough for a B.
>> Wow. You got to put down C.
>> I think
>> B.
>> No, not D. Not D. I'm not that crazy.
>> Okay.
>> I don't I don't know. There's just like
there's nothing going on there. They're
They're way And okay, think about this.
They're crinkle fries. They're way
worse.
>> That's true.
>> They're way worse. They got They're not
D like they're not like freaking
McDonald's, but I mean just
they so lackluster.
>> All right. Well, well, put them
somewhere.
>> Put them in C.
>> Also, you never made your official
designation.
>> Nacho fries is the goat.
>> Nacho fries are your top.
>> Nacho fries is the goat. It's not even
close. Where else are you going to get a
nacho fry?
>> That's a great question. I'm looking for
the best fries in America. Do you think
you can help me with that?
>> Said the best what?
>> Best fries in America.
>> The best fries?
>> Yeah. You think You think they might be
able to get me some?
>> Yeah, I think we got the best fries.
>> All right, cool. I want those small fry.
>> A small fry.
>> Yep.
>> Any ketchup?
>> Nope. I just want the fries. I want the
best ones.
>> All right, give us the update.
>> Okay.
>> Are they the Are they the best fries?
Did not guarantee, but
>> didn't guarantee it. Signs of doubt.
>> Signs of doubt. Yeah. I'm not sure he
believed in himself or not.
>> I feel like everything at this point is
going to be like minus because I have to
eat more fries, you know?
>> I know. It's hard. Got to stay
consistent.
>> They uh
they're pretty uh they're pretty quality
fry.
>> Okay. All right. You expected bad.
They're cooked really good. Like all the
other ones pretty much except for
Crystal.
>> Okay.
>> They're they're Whoa. Big guy.
>> Pretty good fries.
>> You eat like five of these bad boys.
>> It's better than
better than mid.
>> We've got a few crinkles.
>> There's been a lot. People have just
been devolving to crinkle
>> fries. Move. I'm putting canes. I'm
moving up Canes
>> to what?
>> NBA.
>> You're crazy.
>> All those versus some of the other
>> Yeah. Versus Try this one, Phil. It's
way better than or these are way better
than that.
>> Are they?
>> Yes. You kidding me?
>> Might be disagreeing.
>> I don't like these.
>> Really?
Is it Do they taste bad?
>> They have that grease taste which is not
terrible.
>> It's not that aggressive.
>> I didn't really get much of the grease
taste.
>> I'm not getting much at all from grease.
I'm not going to lie, I have these in C.
>> I think I like these better than the
Canes ones. I might
>> We're disagreeing on the last two.
>> I put Canes in C.
>> I feel like these are like a
>> I don't know. B is pretty stacked.
>> Are you considering higher than B?
>> No, I'm considering B or C. Okay.
>> They're not A. They're not that good.
Like they're not really anything
special.
>> I don't know. I feel like I feel like
they're better than my C. I'd rather eat
this in Burger King. Rather eat this in
canes and water burger.
>> These remind me of Burger King a little
bit.
>> I feel like they're B.
>> Okay. B. All right. All right.
>> I can't abandon my Canes. They're
better. They're better than B.
>> All right.
>> We're at Steak and Shake. Seventh to
last.
>> Steak and Shakes advertising by putting
Tesla chargers in the back of their
restaurant.
>> A ton.
>> It's the only way they're going to be
able to show up here. Can I get the best
batch of fries you've ever made?
>> Sure. What size?
>> Small, please.
>> All right.
What else for you?
>> That's it. That's all I want.
>> All right. So, just one small fry, but
it's the best batch.
>> Yeah. The best batch you ever made.
>> Okay. That's going to be 251.
>> Thank you.
>> The best batch.
>> They're ready. These look like they're
going to taste like nothing. Look at
[laughter] this. This looks
>> That looks like McDonald's.
>> This is a McDonald's fry.
>> I don't see any salt, though.
You getting anything?
>> I I bite it and I'm like, "Wait, there's
salt." And then nothing.
>> Just gone.
>> It feels like salt.
>> Or you can even You get the texture of
salt.
Maybe they put like a different thing.
Maybe they put sugar on there instead or
something.
>> Dude, this is just McDonald's fries.
Like they cooked them in different oil
or whatever.
>> I know.
>> [laughter]
>> They're about to be uh extinct just like
Electronic Express back there.
>> Okay, we missed the review of me, but
it pretty much tastes like nothing. Mike
decided D tier. I decided bottom a C.
They they have the salt taste you think
and then it's not there. Kind of tastes
like nothing. They're super skinny.
Don't have a lot of mass to them. Not
something that I would I would be
looking to buy. You think we can just
stop here? Five left.
>> No, [laughter] we're right there.
>> May take the order, please.
>> Can I get the best order of cookout fry
in the history of cookout?
>> I'm so sorry. You said order fries.
>> Yeah, but I want them to be the best
fries ever made by any cookout location.
>> Always. Of course. What else can I get
for you?
>> That's it. It's like obviously it's
going to be the best.
>> Duh. Duh. They're going to be the best
ones.
>> Everybody knows that.
>> I don't want to eat another fry.
>> You have to.
>> You don't even have a choice.
>> I can eat five more. That's them.
>> Yeah.
>> Five more.
>> Frenchie fry.
>> It's going to be windy. You got to speak
up.
>> Oh. Oh.
>> Hot.
>> Oh,
>> you took one for the team. Burned his
mouth.
>> So good.
>> Did you even taste it? Oh, wait. Really?
>> I don't know. I couldn't taste it.
[laughter]
It's too hot. Oh yeah. Oh, I'm getting
really tired of this.
That was like two fries.
>> I'm getting really tired of fries by the
end of this thing. Good thing we saved
the best for last. KFC.
>> White Castle. Actually,
>> oh my gosh, I forgot about that.
These are pretty good.
Like I could eat these without the
sauce.
They're not the best. Crinkle.
>> Crinkle's been carrying.
>> I mean, how do you really How do you I
don't really know how you get much
better.
>> Wow. That's That's a high bar.
>> It's so hot, though.
>> Yeah, it's 98°
plus a French fry. That's burning hot.
>> Sprinkle. That's one of the better ones.
>> All right, I'm intrigued now.
>> That's one of the better ones.
Hot.
Pretty
salty, pretty crispy,
pretty cringly.
Um,
I don't know if I like the taste.
>> It's not horrible. It's a little weird.
>> They're definitely pretty good, though.
>> I think I'd put it in a tier. I like it.
You've got Freddy's, Arby's curies, Jack
in the Box Curies, Sonic, Taco. Oh,
wait. Is that me? No, that's you. Sonic,
Taco Bell, Zach Bees,
>> and Kes. Um
>> Oh, yeah. You moved Cans,
>> you know.
Wow. I might have to reorganize. Zach is
definitely my favorite out of all those.
Um, this is a lot like the Sonic one.
>> Yeah, it's just bigger.
>> It's similar to the Sonic one, so I'd
probably have it right next to the Sonic
ones. They're They're noticeably decent.
Like better than these Btier ones, I
think. So, pretty good. Bottom of A,
though, just because of the taste is a
little weird.
>> I think I'm I'm going A. They're pretty
good.
>> They literally yelled at us through the
drive-thru speaker asking how the fries
were. I wish we were recording for that.
Um, so yeah, they they put in the
effort. I got to respect that. And they
followed up. That's the first person to
follow up. So, that's pretty good. Give
him a bonus credit for that at cookout.
>> Welcome. We will be with you in a
moment.
>> Very well.
>> Hello. Welcome to some chicken. What can
I get for you?
>> I need a small order of fries made to
perfection.
>> All right.
>> That's all I want.
>> Yep. That's it.
>> All right. 327 then.
>> All right. Thank you.
>> Perfection. I don't know. I don't know
if I don't know if they understand.
>> I don't think she was very uh enthused
about making a perfection. She's like, I
I was kind of thinking more like 98%,
you know. I don't even know if 98. Maybe
less. Yeah, maybe less than that. Maybe
less. That is a lot of fries.
>> Dang, man.
>> Fresh. Brand new.
>> That She did say they were brand new.
>> Phone battery's running low.
For the sake of phone battery, I'm going
to do I don't mind this. I don't mind
this.
I I got to say they're unique to pretty
much everywhere else.
>> They're pretty good.
I like it. It is different. Yeah, I see
the fruity weird thing you're talking
about.
>> If you eat too many, they start tasting
like fruit. I I don't know how to
describe it.
>> It goes good with the swim sauce.
>> Do you just chuck a fry in a bush?
>> I didn't want to finish it.
>> Was that That's not a good sign.
>> No, I just That's cuz I've eaten however
many fries.
>> All right. What are you thinking tier
listwise? I I'd slap it in the B.
>> That's exactly what I was thinking.
>> That's pretty good.
>> Don't eat too many. You're going to
start tasting fruit. But other than
that, B tier. Solid.
>> How can I help you?
>> Uh, can I get a order of fries?
>> Incredibly made.
>> All right. Anything else for you?
>> That's it. I just want really tasty
fries.
>> All right. Would you like that on five
butterfly shrimp for $1.99?
>> I don't. I just want really tasty fries.
That's it.
>> 404 out the window.
>> Thank you. It's getting windy out here.
We're battling through. You almost
didn't put this place on the on the
list.
>> I forgot.
>> How would you forget about these?
>> I forgot. You see how forgettable this
is?
>> How did you forget about these?
>> Forgetable.
>> Look at it.
>> Taste it.
>> I will.
Let me tell you, nothing tastes like a
Captain D's French fry.
>> Unique.
>> Because it tastes like fish. It
literally they cook them in the same
fryer. It's unique.
>> Like,
it's not even that it's bad. You can't
get this anywhere else.
>> Exactly. It's special.
>> But like, when would I ever want this?
>> Uh, whenever you're feeling fishy. So,
for you, pretty often.
>> What does that even mean?
>> I don't even know. I I don't know where
to put those.
>> All right. I'm feeling fishy.
They have their own taste. Yeah, it
doesn't taste like anything else.
>> Sometimes you eat this, you're like,
"This is just good. This is good stuff."
>> Sometimes.
>> Other times
you might not think so much. They're not
good.
[laughter]
>> They're like, I don't know, like a C.
>> Yeah, C tier.
>> It's a It's so It's the only C tier
that's different.
>> Yeah, it's like a C tier that if I had
to eat it, I wouldn't be that mad, but
it's not good. So, I can give it a B
tier.
>> Yeah, C tier.
>> That's That's all right.
>> C's, baby.
>> Bang.
>> They approved.
>> KFC.
I'm not looking forward to this at all.
Be Manian. I'm not looking forward to
those.
>> Just like the Wendy's ones.
>> Can I get some Kentucky French fries?
>> All right. Would that be all for you
today?
>> Yeah, that's right. Just a small
individual.
>> Just Just individual, please. I got you,
brother.
>> Thank you. All right.
There you go.
He's celebrating Friday or Whopper
Wednesday. I can't remember which one.
>> Oh, impressed. Has it got seasoning on
it?
>> It's like the crispiness.
>> Interesting.
>> You know, it's like
>> That's good.
>> Oh, KFCian's
going to be happy about this.
>> We'll see what the aftertaste is like.
That's good. That's
It doesn't taste like nothing.
>> That's a great start.
>> Doesn't taste like fish either, though.
>> No, it doesn't.
>> You got to get a minus for that.
>> Yeah, I guess I guess it's not. It's not
enough.
>> Your list is actually shifted because
everything but Captain gets a minus for
not being fish.
>> Yes, there are no S tiers.
>> Oh yeah,
>> they're pretty good.
>> I don't have an aftertaste.
>> Is that seasoning or is that just
>> I don't know. It's like the the they
fried it. Weird.
>> It's not crazy good, but it is. It's
better than I expected.
A B for me.
>> I think it's an A.
>> Wa.
>> I think it's an A. I like those. I could
eat all of those.
>> Okay. All right.
>> I don't even I don't even really think I
want sauce.
>> Can I get some tasty fries, please?
>> Is that how many?
>> Uh, just one small fry, but I want them
to be tasty.
>> One small fry. That's it. That's it.
>> Thank you.
>> They are not having fun here. She said,
"I don't want it to be tasty." That
sounds awful.
>> They're making sure it's not tasty.
>> Crinkle fries have been promising all
day.
>> Look at this. It's beautiful.
[laughter]
What was that?
>> What is this? [laughter]
It's beautiful that you just see. Let me
try another one.
>> Conveniently a trash can right here.
They're like soft.
>> Ew. I don't like They don't taste bad.
They're just
>> Why is it soft? I don't get it. And
they're hot.
>> Hot and soft. Just how we like them.
you.
>> It's when you're chewing it. Like when
you bite it, it's crunchy. When you chew
it, it's soft. It's like porridge.
>> The outside's hard. The inside's soft.
>> I don't Yeah, but like
>> Wow, guy.
>> Red Bull car. Interesting.
>> Red Bull gives you Stop chucking fries.
Got to pick those up.
>> Why are we picking them up? The birds
eat them.
>> The birds eat them.
>> Yo, I'm
>> Birds ain't eating this. That's not
littering, Phil. It's food.
>> Not everything decomposes.
>> Fries decompose.
>> Not as bad as Crystal.
>> No,
>> not as bad as
>> It can't be as bad as Crystal. The
McDonald's crime was not having taste.
This tastes bad, but not bad enough to
be an F tier.
>> Tier.
>> Yeah, that's right.
>> Tier. Don't worry, we can throw away all
our trash now. White Castle pulls it
out.
>> All right, Mike, this is the last one.
How are you feeling? I can't even see
you.
>> I don't want it, but I'm doing it.
Popeyes. Popeyes. Lock in.
>> Hi. Welcome to Popeye's. What can I get
for you today?
>> I'm just wondering if you have like a
life-changing fry. Like I eat some of
these fries, my life changes.
>> Yeah, we got some for you. Kaj fries.
Regular size and a large fry.
>> I want the regular size.
>> Regular size. All right. Anything else
for you?
>> That's it. Finally,
the last harra. Where are you going?
>> Doesn't look the greatest, but I know
it's got
>> She told us that it would be
life-changing.
>> I just like Popeye's fries, man.
>> He just likes them.
>> They're just good. If you like them
after 24 restaurants, I think we can we
can say for sure you like them.
>> Double dipping. It's so hot, though.
>> We can say you definitely like them.
>> What?
They've got They've got the in the flaky
thing.
They're hot. They don't have a weird
aftertaste. They have a good aftertaste.
>> Yeah, that that's that we've learned is
very important.
>> No aftertaste or good aftertaste.
>> Yeah, that's what you want.
>> I don't know. These are good, man. I
could eat I could literally get the
large Not right now. I could [laughter]
>> right now.
>> I could get the large box and eat all
these.
>> Okay, I respect that.
>> These are an S tier.
>> Oh, wow. Okay,
>> ending on an S. I like that.
>> Yeah, you It's got to be good if I'm
ending it on an S.
>> Okay, I've been disappointed with a lot
of places today, so let's let's end it
on something good.
>> Wow, those are hot.
>> Yeah.
I don't like how they're
they don't really crunch.
>> Yeah.
>> Kind of go together.
>> Yeah. They're not They're not They're
not like They are crispy, but not like
that.
>> Yeah. It's a weird kind. Um
taste on them is different. It's pretty
good.
I had so many in B and what I've learned
is everything in B I don't even want B
anymore. I want A and above. That's the
ones I want. I think these these
probably belong in the A tier. They're
not bad enough to be there's too many
average in the be. They're above
average. They're different. They don't
have a weird taste. Which, by the way, I
forgot to mention on the way here, which
is a few minutes away, I was chasing
that White Castle. That's definitely an
F tier. It might be above crystal.
>> But is Yeah,
>> it's above crystal.
>> Oh,
>> but it's still it. Those are disgusting.
>> White Castle barely squeaks out the
wind.
>> Those are awful. Those are actually
awful.
>> All right, Mike. Quick word before we
end it. Final thoughts. What stuck out
to you? I guess your winner was was the
Taco Bell.
>> Taco Bell.
>> Mine was Arby's. I just want to say my
number one winner, probably the best fry
was the Arby's crinkle fry. I got to say
my favorite Sila Zach fry. Okay, I know
it's not the top. Still my favorite.
>> I've realized if you're not making a
crinkle fry and you're not locked in on
the fries, they're going to suck.
>> Do we have other than crinkle? Well,
curly.
>> The only bad crinkle fry was White
Castle.
>> No, there was another one that wasn't
that good.
>> It wasn't There were no bad ones.
>> Yeah, the the White Castle. They went
crinkle and they crinkled too hard.
>> I I went I I see a crinkle fried. I'm
like, "Okay, we're safe." Until White
Castle.
>> White Castle changes all things. It's
like they break all the rules.
>> But also, curly fries, those are just
good. They're just good.
>> Yeah, they're consistent. Curly fries
are good. I always like those. I think
those belonged in the A tier. I think
that made sense cuz B tier for me ended
up being pretty average. Ctier ended up
being kind of bad and anything below
that was like awful. You should never
eat those, which there was a few sadly.
So,
>> a few.
>> End of the day, I was shocked by Arby's.
Not shocked by White Castle or or
Hardies. I mean, uh, uh, what do they
call? Crystals.
>> We We ran the gauntlet and we found we
we found the answer to who's better,
White Castle or Crystal.
>> That was the most important question.
>> Everybody's been wondering. We We did
it.
>> It's been answered. Now you don't ever
have to eat at either of those places
again.
>> If you wanted to, White Castle,
>> don't do it. Shout out to Brandon Cheney
Adams Beating
Lord
Shang and Crypto Poppy Mike for your
support as ultimate members.
[crying and screaming]
>> OH MY GOODNESS.
THE BLUE EYES WHITE DRAGON
[screaming]
>> and I'll see you guys next time. Peace.
