Video summary

The speaker returns to his YouTube channel after a week-long absence due to vacation, addressing the audience with humor about being missed or ignored while dealing with a persistent fly inside his truck. He explains that this break was necessary for him and his family to reset following a difficult year filled with significant life changes. During their time away from work duties, they focused entirely on spending quality family moments at home, utilizing a small inflatable kiddie pool in the backyard to cool off during hot weather and celebrating Micah's first birthday party. A central theme of this update is the recent passing of his dog, Weini (also known as Frankie), who passed away around July 14th after serving as a loyal companion that helped Brit through many hard times before he met the speaker. The loss has left their household quieter since they are now down to just one remaining dog named Chevy, but the family has found comfort in setting up a memorial space at home featuring a wooden urn and memory table for Weini's ashes. Despite the emotional difficulty of losing such a beloved pet who was essentially Brit's primary attachment figure, the speaker emphasizes that time is helping them cope with this grief while acknowledging the bittersweet nature of their recent experiences. The vacation period also highlighted the contrast between his personal life and professional obligations, as he admitted to spending more money than usual because work income had stopped during his absence from filming and editing. He reflects on how having a newborn baby like Micah doubled the workload compared to previous years, bringing both stress regarding initial health issues—which have since resolved—and immense joy in seeing their son grow into perfect health. Ultimately, he expresses relief at finally finding their groove as a family unit again while noting visible signs of aging like new gray hairs that accumulated over this challenging but rewarding year. Now that the vacation is concluded and finances need to be stabilized through work, the speaker announces his return to the regular posting schedule with plans to catch up on missed content immediately. He intends to dedicate himself fully to creating videos again tonight, aiming to get back into a productive rhythm after prioritizing family relaxation for an extended period. While he acknowledges that balancing job demands and parenting is tough, especially when working from home involves being away so much of the time, he remains optimistic about moving forward with renewed energy as they navigate life's ongoing challenges together.

What's going on everybody? I'm alive. I know I haven't been posting for the last week or so. I've been on vacation, but I'm back at it here in the truck now. So, uh, I'm going to get back to posting my my videos every day. Did you guys miss me? Or did you even notice that I wasn't there? [laughter] You didn't even notice. Who's this guy? Oh, sorry. I got a fly swatter, man. I'm trying to catch a fly that's in here. I'm a fly hunter. But yeah, so it was a really good uh vacation time. I did film a little bit while while we were there. We went to Tinker Town with the kids. That was a lot of fun, actually. And uh a couple of other things. For those of you who don't know, I don't think I announced it on YouTube yet cuz the next video in my line in my series is the day uh we we lost our little wiener, our little dashed Frankfurter. He passed away on uh I believe it was the 14th. No, was it July 14th? So, it was a little while ago already. And I haven't really said anything on YouTube about I I announced it on Facebook. So, many of you probably saw it there. Uh so, that's been uh very difficult in our house. We're down to just Chevy now, which thank God for Chevy. He's a he's a great dog. And uh so the house is a lot more quiet now. Not that Weini caused a lot of noise. He was actually very, very quiet. He was a really good boy. He was Brit's boy, though. He was a oneowner type dog. She had him longer than she's had me. And I would argue she loved him more than she loved me. And that's okay. Uh before Brit and I met, uh there was many hard times uh in life, in Brit's life, uh that Weiner got her through. We call him Weiner, but his name was Frankf Furer or Frankie. But uh he got her through many tough times and he was always there, her constant companion, just like Diesel was to me, right? So, it's been especially hard on her. And uh you know, as time goes by, each day gets a little easier. But we just uh we got his ashes back this last week, too. And she's got a a nice setup at home. I'll show you yet in the videos. Uh, nice ern. It's like a wooden box urn with a little memory table of him. So, that's been difficult. But, uh, the vacation nonetheless was was pretty good. We just stayed at home. It was a station. Uh, spent a lot of time in the backyard. It was so hot. But, we had this little kiddie pool that we bought. It's like a blowup one and we filled it with water and I could put my feet in there and walk around in there a bit. the kids could splash around in there. That was a lot of fun. We had Micah's first birthday party. That's all coming up in the videos as well. So, it's it's been a busy week. And I didn't post anything all week. I didn't edit anything. I didn't post anything. I just tried to make it completely about uh just family time and relaxing, getting away from everything. I really needed that for myself. I I needed a a reset. It's been a difficult year, but very rewarding. like the passing of Frank recently that was that's difficult but also the past year we had a newborn we had Micah he had some health issues at the beginning which were very stressful thankfully he's past all that and he's 100% healthy now and uh dealing with a lot of other things like that throughout the year you know two is twice as many as one and it's twice as much work [laughter] but we're doing fine we're doing fine and we found our groove I think and uh That's what we've been up to. So, it's been I got some new gray hairs, though. Look at this. This is this last year. This is what I'm talking about. See all that? You've seen it in my videos already, right? Go back to my videos from this time last year in my playlists. You won't see any of that. I think I had like what, one maybe pop out every now and then after this past year. Look at this. So, a vacation was nice just to sit at home, relax with the kids, and uh you know, with my job, I'm gone so much. So, just being able to just wake up at home and be there for everything for an extended period of time. It was really cool. But now that that's over, I've got to get back to work cuz, you know, I wasn't making money. So, I was spending money. We spent a lot of money, more than we probably should have, but uh I'm back at work and it's time to make money. That's where I've been. Videos are coming back. They're going to be back to their regular schedule. I'm going to catch up. I'm going to try tonight to start getting the ball rolling on that. I've really got to put my nose to the grindstoneone here and get that done. But you can expect more from me uh in the coming days. Thanks for watching this everybody. Just wanted to check in and say, "Hey, I'm back.
