Video summary
The video follows Matt Meeks, a fictionalized version of one of college football's greatest tight ends, as he attempts to import his legendary career into Madden 27. Despite boasting an absurd resume with multiple national championships and Heisman trophies, the game's mechanics unfairly penalize him by projecting him as an early third-round pick due to a glitch where accolades lower his legacy score. This bug results in him entering the NFL with a significantly reduced overall rating and import bonus compared to his actual achievements. Undeterred, Meeks proceeds to export his player, customize his archetype to be a physical specimen at 6'6" and 252 pounds, and manually upgrade his stats to focus heavily on catching and speed while de-prioritizing route running and blocking, which he dismisses as myths.
Before officially starting his NFL career, Meeks participates in the virtual NFL Combine, where he impressively lifts 18 reps on the bench press and completes various drills, though he notes that some combine results do not translate into significant stat upgrades this year. He is subsequently drafted by the Baltimore Ravens with the 68th overall pick, a result he accepts as a fortunate twist of fate given his flawed draft projection. Upon joining the team, he immediately faces the reality of being a backup behind Mark Andrews and dealing with frustrating game-breaking glitches related to the "no huddle" offense and the unpredictable catch meter, which often fails to register open passes correctly during preseason games against the Eagles and Vikings.
As Meeks works through his preseason roster battles, he utilizes new features like the "Go Journey Tracker" to manage wear and tear and unlocks various specialties that enhance his ability to break tackles and secure contested catches. He expresses frustration with the game's monetization model, which forces players to purchase virtual items like taped fingers and custom cleats, but remains optimistic about his potential impact. By the end of the preseason, he has improved his overall rating to 82 and is on the verge of becoming a starter, setting the stage for his official NFL debut in Week One against the Indianapolis Colts, where he aims to prove himself as a monster tight end capable of leading the Ravens to a Super Bowl championship.

This is Matt Meeks, the greatest tight
end in college football history. At 6'6,
227 lb, he has multiple national
championships, multiple Heisman
trophies, and an absurd college resume.
Starting out at Florida State as a
freshman, he put up 2,300 yd and 18
touchdowns. He transferred to Notre Dame
for a sophomore season and closed out
his junior and senior years with the
Ohio State Buckeyes. But his college
career is over and it's finally time for
the big leagues. TODAY, I'LL BE
IMPORTING MATT Meeks into the National
Football League. I'll be competing in
the combine, getting drafted to a team,
and hopefully adding to my trophy room
with my first ever Super Bowl
championship. However, there's one
problem. So, gentlemen, you look at my
stats. I'm literally the greatest tight
end who's ever lived. Yet, somehow, I'm
projected to go early in the third
round. There's a super frustrating
glitch in College Road to Glory where
every time you have a really big
accolade, it actually drops your legacy
score. You can see right here in my
junior year when I won every award in
the books and then I immediately became
a worse prospect. In fact, EA actually
has a legacy score to compare it to and
the best of the best they have is Vernon
Davis with 19,000. Compare that to my
65,000
and um somehow that worked against me.
Don't worry though, EA is a small indie
company with only a few employees, so
let's cut them some slack.
>> He's already dead.
>> SO, WHEN I LEAVE FOR THE NFL, I can
import this entire player, but it's
going to import him as a projected early
third round pick. This might work in my
favor. Maybe I'll go to a better team. I
really don't know. But my college career
is done. So, there's Matt Meeks, the 95
overall Ohio State Buckeye, and I'll be
exporting my player to Madden. Export
successful. Now, we'll boot up Madden 27
and from Superstar, we're going to start
a new career. And there is Matt Meeks.
Now, you're supposed to get a big import
bonus, but that import bonus is also
directly related to your draft
projection. So, that's why I'm a little
pissed about this bug. Like, I really
should be coming in as a 78 overall, but
we're just going to go where the wind
takes us. You got to love that I am a
mid-round draft prospect that is likely
to begin as a backup. You see a tight
end put up 77 touchdowns and 7,000
yards, and you're just going to throw
him in as a backup? I'm going to keep my
college number of 87 though, that's for
sure. Now, it's time to pick an
archetype. I do not have to be the same
archetype I was in college. I think I
still want to be 6'6, but a little bit
stronger. I'm going to go up to 252.
Now, EA is saying I'm a yak specialist
and I play like Sam Laporta. I don't
know if I want to agree with that. I
want to be Gronk, right? So, I'm 6'6 252
and my max catching, break tackle,
catching traffic, and trucking are 99. I
don't care about route running. I think
that shit's a myth, so I brought these
down to 81. Blocking also a myth. My
maximum speed's only 93. Wish that could
be a little bit higher. Might change it
around. I'll change my exceller up to
90. My jumping is 99. My agility is up
to 90. Keep in mind, these are my
maximum overalls. They will not start at
this. It also shows you the maximum
abilities that you can get with those
stats. So, I can get truck elite to
gold. Love that. Sticky fingers gold,
significantly more likely to catch any
pass. Iron grip is for catching
contested catches. I can get that up to
gold tier. Mid-air winner, significantly
more likely to hold onto the ball during
mid-air catches. There's a couple of
interesting ones in here that I've never
seen before. Stiff arm mastery, you know
why I love that one. Two-step terror,
fresh legs. These are all new. I've
never seen any of these. X-factors are
of course important, but as soon as we
unlock double me, this is all that we
are using. My starting upgrades are
going to be all about catching the
football. I can actually take my catch
in catching traffic up to 90 to kick
this thing off. That's kind of crazy to
have these two. Now, I have pitiful
route running and my break tackle,
trucking, run blocking are all also very
pitiful. But, with five skill points
left, feel like I'm going to be running
a lot of short and medium routes. Let's
take these. I'm kind of confused why
deep route running is not an option, but
I guess we'll find out. Also, for the
first time, and I'm just now noticing
this, physicals can be manually
upgraded. Last year, you could not
manually upgrade things like speed and
acceleration. The game just kind of did
it for you, which was really stupid. And
these are different buckets. So, my
skill points for physicals are different
than my skill points for core. I'm not
sure how this is going to be
implemented. This is my first ever
superstar on Madden 27, but already I
can get 87 excel, and I can max out my
speed and excel to start out my career.
That's really interesting. I can also
get afterburner and high-speed getaway
silver tier. Stamina might be important.
If there's a slider for stamina, that's
not going to be that important. Okay.
So, I really just did like what I
believe to be the most important stats.
I've got 90 speed and excel, and I've
got 90 catching and catching traffic.
I'm kind of a one-trick pony, but that's
pretty cool to start out like that. Now,
mentals, specialties, and X-factors,
I've no skill points on. So, there's
nothing we can do here yet. And
specialties, by the way, is brand new.
If you look in that bottom right, there
are so many abilities down there. It
looks like they go up to platinum tier.
I don't know any of those. I've never
used a specialty before. So, I'm kind of
excited to see how this is implemented.
You can choose to be on any NFL team.
I'm not doing that. My agent wants to
have a chat with me. What do you think,
Brooke? Morning, Mr. Heisman. Heisman
for what, Brooke? I'm going in the third
round. Combine's coming quick. Couple
teams are already asking about you.
Yeah, I'll be there, Brooke. I'll be
there to do the same combine they've had
for five straight years of Madden. I'll
be there, Brooke. The NFL combine, we're
in Indianapolis, and I'm going to show
out here as best as I can. In previous
years, the combine actually gives you
some pretty big stat upgrades. I'm not
sure if that's still the case this year,
but it can be worth doing. We're
starting out with the 40-yard dash. I
mean, I already upgraded all my speed. I
wonder if that even matters for this.
Come on, Matt Migs. 3
2 1 Get out there. Got to alternate LT
RT LT RT LT RT.
DID I JUST COOK? You get a tight
end run a 4-3?
Would a Jarvis Landry run a 4-4-7?
Number one tight end in speed. I don't
think this matters at all. Oh, no, I do.
I get three physical skill points. So,
yeah, this is actually worth it. I put
on some weight since college. Let me
tell you what. I'm going to bench out
225.
I'm looking for 15 reps. See if I can
get this puppy for 15. These go up. LB
RB your bumper. Slow it down on the way
down. Keeping that red bar off. Has
anyone ever got hurt at the combine?
Like has anyone ever tore a pec bench
pressing? I feel like that would just be
the most criminal end to a career or
start to a career, I suppose. I
certainly can't here. 12 13 I'm going to
get more than 15, baby. They were
expecting 11 out of me. 15
16
17 Think deep. 18 Think deep.
Think deep. Uno mas. Por favor.
Oh, I'd count that. I'd low-key count
that rep. Wow. I mean, I did better than
I expected, but look at the numbers out
of the tight ends. Who is number one?
Who is the strongest tight end? Matthew
Hibner? John Michael Gillanborg?
Foreshadowing. Let me tell you right
now, you're going to see John Michael
Gillanborg. Not in this video, but in an
upcoming video. This one's really
simple. You literally just spam A and
then shoot in a direction. 9 ft 5 I'm
still That's still too short for the
dating market. Did not cook on this one.
Little 20-yard shuttle. I've always
wondered, what is this drill? Lateral
quickness, I guess.
Guys, does the combine even matter? Do
you think NFL scouts really give a
about the combine? That's a serious
question. Got the A grade, though. All
right, we're going to run a couple
routes. Who's that throwing me the
football?
Does anyone know who that is throwing me
the football? This might be a good time
to test out some meter catching, though.
I currently have my meter set to only
for 10 yards plus. On these little check
down routes when you're unguarded, I
hate timing up the meter cuz if you mess
that up, you feel so stupid. But on
something like this, if you're
contested,
All right. All right, QB. What What the
I'm sorry. What am I supposed to
do there? 1 2
Bang. This is an interesting little
little deep out here.
They're going to count it and I go
orange little wheel route. The wheel
tech, I got to time up the call.
Beautiful. Bang. Oh, you know what I got
to do? I got to do a one-handed catch.
So, if you hold the left bumper when
you're catching the ball, you will
automatically go for a one-handed catch.
Let's do it right here. Hey.
WHY WOULD I DO THAT RIGHT IN FRONT OF
THE SCOUTS? I'LL take it. That drill
actually doesn't matter. You get no
skill points for that drill, so. So, I'm
still an early third-rounder, you know.
I guess I didn't show them enough in
college, really. That's on me. It all
comes down to this, gentlemen. This will
literally determine our full team. Now,
you can request trades, but you can only
request trades once you've gotten good
enough. Once you've built up enough
repertoire with your coach or with your
agent. Whatever team I land on here is
my full team for the full season. Drum
roll, please. We are entering THE NFL
DRAFT. On the board is the Baltimore
Ravens.
Tell me I'm going to the Baltimore
Ravens.
Round three.
No way.
Oh, my god. That's a dream. Are you
kidding me? WAIT, WHAT? WAIT, the
Broncos with the 66th pick. They said
the Ravens were on the board. With the
66th pick the Denver Oh. Oh, I just got
cocked. Oh, they blew balls me. With the
68th pick, the Eagles select What the
IS GOING ON?
THEY KEEP BLUE BALLING ME. Am I
actually going to the Ravens? With the
80th pick in the 2026 NFL draft, the
Baltimore RAVENS SELECT
OH! TALK TO ME, MINTER. Am I ready to be
a Raven? Are you me? Yes, I'm
ready to be a Raven. Mark Andrews bum
ass could never do what I'm going to do.
Holy I'm going to the Ravens.
Dude, we're winning that.
We're winning that sucker, no question.
Ooh, and we're going to get to use those
uh dream scenario for tight end. This is
literally the best case scenario. And
like I said, you know, that draft
projection being all screwed up kind of
sucks. But if I was correctly projected,
I probably would be round one pick one
or two or three, and then I'm going to
Arizona with Trey McBride. That wouldn't
make any sense. There would be so many
bad places I could have landed. I could
have been on the Raiders. This actually
worked out so well. I ended up going in
the middle of the third round, which is
really good for us. Early third round
would have been a worse team. Round
three pick 16, I'm getting 6 and 1/2
million bucks for 4 years, and I'm
winning a Super Bowl. I've signed with
the Ravens. Oh my god, let's go. Wow,
that is so awesome. All right, we got a
press conference. Congratulations and
welcome to the Ravens. Thank you very
much. Well appreciated. Jump from
college to league is real when you walk
in the building, when you focus on
proving first. I'm ready to be a pro.
Honestly, I'm ready to be a pro. 4 years
in college, I could have left as a
junior. I want them to know I'm dead
ass. When your career is over, what do
you want people to remember about you?
Help my team win championships. More
like that I single-handedly won my team
championships. Thank you, go Ravens.
Come on. So, this is the goat journey
tracker. This is new this year. It's
really just a visual to show your stats,
but as you earn new things, you do
unlock cap breakers, just like in Road
to Glory College. If my speed gets maxed
out at 90, I can use a cap breaker to
bring that maximum to a 91. Pretty
simple. Before you can even get started,
EA starts like telling you to buy
Superstar battle pass. If you ever buy
that, you're a chud. Featured
store skill starter bundle. If you ever
buy that, you're a jobless chud.
Okay, so we do have some skill points
from the combine. I think break tackle
is going to be really important. So, I
think this will be one of the next
things I work on for my core. Take it up
to 78 for now. For physicals, I got to
imagine wear and tear is going to be
really impressive this year, too. So,
I'm going to take recuperation early.
Wear and tear is so bad in college and
you can't turn it off. So, we'll see how
that's impacted here. And then stamina
for the exact same reason. But, she's
got a lot of physical upgrades from the
combine. Damn, I'm already an 80
overall. I can't even imagine if you're
round one pick one, you probably start
out as like an 84 or something. I think
jumping, agility, and change of
direction I'm just going to have to
concede for now, but jumping for going
up for contested catches is going to be
really important. So, we're going to go
here. Now, I've got jumping, catching,
and speed. And now, we do have some
mental skill points. These are ability
buffs. Harder to knock out of the zone
once I have double me X-Factor will be
gigantic, but I don't have that yet.
That's going to be really good. Film
study will let me see the play art of
linebackers. I'll see what kind of
coverage I got on me. And then, locked
in lets you easily enter the zone. It's
kind of badass. I think for now,
important thing for me is going to be
film study. See the play art of
linebackers on third and fourth down.
So, I'll know what coverage I'm looking
at. Specialties, this is the brand new
one that I am not familiar with. Chain
mover, first down machine, legendary
chain. It's kind of like a skill tree in
a game like Borderlands or Skyrim. I
like this. Automatically reach out for
first downs and touchdowns with
significantly reduced chance of
fumbling. I feel like there's got to be
something better than that. Ball carrier
elite, use elite spin, juke, truck, and
stiff arm animations. So, even without
any investment into my juke moves, I'd
be able to get this? That's kind of
crazy. I'm shocked that's an option.
Call for loss, influence the strength of
the pass when calling for the ball. So,
you get down field and get a heater.
Call for dots gives your QB an accuracy
boost when calling for the ball. I don't
know that I'm going to need this cuz
Lamar is so good. If I had a shitty QB,
maybe. Significantly improved catching
when attempting a catch after calling
for the ball. That's really good.
Highlight reel, request one-handed catch
animations. How the hell is that going
to work? These are all crazy. I think I
want Backlash, extreme fatigue penalties
when tackled via a non-conservative
tackle, and then Snip Out of It is an
improved chance to break diving cuts,
and then the other end is Break Strip
and Hit Sticks. So, you basically break
every tackle that's not a conservative
tackle. I like this one a lot, but for
the start of my career, Call for Ball.
I'm going to be calling for the ball
every single time. Let's go Called Catch
1 and Called Catch 2. So, we've got
silver tier Called Catch. Really liking
this system so far. We'll see how it
gets implemented, but I'm a big fan. And
then Tackle Breaker. I'm going to go
Shake Hit Off. I think hit sticks will
be a problem, especially for fumbling.
So, really, before my career even
starts, we've got a lot of abilities.
Iron Grip and Sticky Fingers, bronze
tier. Mid Air Winner, Afterburner,
Recuperation, Fresh Legs, and High Speed
Getaway. Mentals, I've got Film Study. I
can see linebackers on third and fourth.
And Specialties, I have a improved
catching chance when calling for the
ball and a better chance to break strips
and hit sticks. I'm slowly building my
Gronk. There are tattoos in the game,
but you have to purchase them, which is
ultra corny. Also, a really bizarre
assortment of tattoos. So, only like 15
tattoos, and you're either cultural
Samoan or Japanese. Okay. Now, one of
the crazy new things this year, too, you
can ask the front office to trade for
someone. But, my team and my agent and
everybody needs to trust me more, and I
haven't played yet. So, obviously, that
can't happen yet, but you can demand a
trade. You can get one of your teammates
traded if someone's playing like do-do
dog influence free agency. It's
pretty sick. Also, I don't usually like
buying but I think these cleats
are actually so sick. You got
these pink Kyler Murray Vapor Edge. I do
have enough like cred to equip this.
Those are actually sick. I kind of like
it with the Ravens purple, too. Did
Ravens get new uniforms? Ravens uniforms
look so sick. Damn, you have to buy
everything now? What kind of is
this? I have to buy taped finger white?
I could go down to CVS and get
tape for like 99 cents. I make six and a
I'm on a six and a half million dollar
contract. You want to pay for taped
fingers? Dude, somebody at EA went and
played 2K for the first time ever and
then they just started jerking
themselves off. Like, oh my god, they
make these guys pay VC for a haircut. We
got to do that. idiots. I'm
going purple gloves on the home
uniforms. Tell me I got to pay for my
like arm brace. I'm going to be pissed
you make me pay for my arm brace. All
right, man. I think I want a black
shooter sleeve. Dude, I actually
love these cleats. Dude, those cleats
are sick. I like what we're rocking here
big time. Okay, so that's the dark gear.
I'll rock the dark visor for the dark
gear and light gear I'm going the prism.
But now I got to do the arms all over
again. Got to rock the all whites here.
Damn, when did the Ravens get new
uniforms? These are so cool. I like
this. Here's our light gear. Oh wait,
where's my Where is the whips, bro?
Where my Kyler Murray whips? Yo, I don't
care if you don't like them. Debatable
wall, purple pink, black white. That
goes hard. WELL, WE'VE GOTTEN
DRAFTED, we've dripped ourselves out,
but in the National Football League
we've done exactly nothing. Right now we
got to fight for the starting job. We're
taking on the Eagles in the preseason.
I'm going to be totally honest with you
gentlemen. I'm actually really excited.
I was a little frustrated with road to
glory in college, but so far I'm loving
everything I'm seeing here. Keep in
mind, EA has not patched the no huddle
glitch. If you attempt to run no huddle
in superstar, there's a chance every
play that it'll completely brick the
game and your quarterback will auto
fumble or you might not be able to snap
the ball. So, I'm not running no huddle.
First team look, defenders have improved
coverage, players have less stamina. My
very first play in the National Football
League, playing for the Baltimore Ravens
is play action scissors. Lamar is in
right now and Mark Andrews is still on
this team.
Let's go run this as Oh, I'm open.
That's my NFL debut. LAMAR GETTING
PANCAKE PICK SIX BY COOPER DEJEAN. You
saw the vision though, right? I thought
I was open. I blame Lamar. If he floats
that over it, you know, not such a
bullet, I definitely blame Lamar. I
could see how that's entirely his fault.
I am not calling that my NFL debut
because this is just a preseason.
Preseason isn't real. Jesse Minter, it's
not my fault. Blame Lamar. Blame Lamar.
Blame Lamar.
So, it turns out on this team, I'm being
considered maybe the third string wide
receiver. Or maybe this is just I guess
I'm starting in over Mark Andrews here.
Play action wide receiver in. Give me an
easy one, Lamar. Yeah, no mistakes now.
Dude, Cooper DeJean is owning me. He's
got that pick six and just made a really
good uh really good tackle right there.
I thought for sure I'd run through
Cooper DeJean. I don't have the trucking
stats I need yet, though. Go jet touch
pass and I'm just blocking Zach Baun
here.
No, I'm not.
Zach Baun is blocking me.
Jacoby Land broke the tackle, thank god.
Wow, I'm off to a rough start. I am the
primary on this play, which is nice.
Being the primary is huge, they always
look at you.
I totally lied. I don't think I have the
uh no, I'm not good enough to audible
myself on routes yet, either. Can't
really change up anything.
Just got to be a team player. Ooh, but
I'm open enough.
Hey.
The air truck of destiny gets me more
yards than I probably should have gotten
right there. Bench could be nice if I
get single coverage. And look at that,
I'm already using film study. I can see
that that linebacker in the middle is
just on a zone. So, we're taking on zone
defense.
Am I going to be open? Probably not. Get
a fourth and two, coach. We should go
for this. Good call, coach. Good call,
coach. I am the primary. It's a really
weird route. Timeout, Eagles. We're
going to run motion quarterback power to
try and keep this drive alive here. I
just got to block for Lamar. That's a
good block.
Lamar got some good yards on that. Two
receptions, 16 yards. I got to use my
green meter. I got speed and catching,
that's all I got. Let's get down there,
call for the ball, and make a big catch.
That's what we got to do here.
Okay, that was so bizarre. I don't know
what just happened.
>> Going right back to scissor smash. This
time I am the primary. I got to call for
this. Oh, they're not covering me
underneath. I'm just going to switch it
up a little bit. Tariq Woolen was
cheating inside. I'm honestly okay with
that cuz I just want to keep the chains
alive. It's preseason so I think I only
play the first and second quarter. So if
I'm going to get a touchdown here, kind
of got to do it right now.
WHY NOT? WHY NOT? DID I CATCH THAT? I
CAUGHT IT. I didn't think I was going to
catch that.
>> Okay, I might have made Lamar throw a
pick six, but I did just get a really
nice catch right there. That's probably
it for my debut. I don't think I'm
coming back in. And we're putting up a
good fight. It looks like Philly's going
to take this one. Preseason doesn't
matter, you guys. 34 to 20. I'm not
calling it my debut. This is my This is
a little warm up. It's nothing crazy.
Four receptions, 38 yards and a
touchdown. I'm not mad about it. All
righty, preseason game two. Taking on
the Minnesota Vikings now. Defense will
have improved coverage and offense has
distorted play art in third and fourth.
I don't like that. I am the primary
here. Wow, that just looks beautiful,
man. It genuinely looks beautiful. Let's
go down there. Oh, I'm open.
What the just happened with the
meter? I might be able to take this. The
meter THAT WAS SO WEIRD. The meter
popped up, but it didn't move on the bar
at all. I caught it, so it is what it
is. That was so weird. We got a huge
reception. First and 10.
Oh. Oh, I love this coverage. What the
is going on with the meter? It just
did it again. It's showing me the meter,
but the bar is not moving. Is it going
to do this all game? Second and 10.
Let's try this again. Let's just see
what happens.
Yeah, it's literally going to do this
all game. Look at that. YEAH, YOU SUCK
DICK AT MAKING video games. GIVE IT UP.
LET SOMEBODY ELSE MAKE THIS GAME FOR
GOD'S SAKE. Genuine tragedy that these
monkeys oversee this game. I've got to
throw drag
Lamar. You're Lamar Jackson. You can
throw the drag. That was a touchdown.
I've got to catch everything under 10
yards for this game because if I can't
see the meter, I can't catch it. It's
the equivalent of putting on a blindfold
and trying to time it. I'm hoping that
that was just like a single drive bug.
I'm going to try and call for a pass
here. Also, I don't know if you can call
for a pass with B in this game.
You cannot. That did look like my meter
was going to attempt there. This is an
RPO.
Caught on that one, no meter needed.
Beautiful, we get third and one. All
right, MM blocker. Holy I'm ass.
Oh my god, I forgot about Derrick Henry.
This team is cracked. I should scout the
team and just see how good everybody is,
you know. First and 10, oh I'm very
open. Meter's back, huge. Okay, so I
guess for just for that first drive it
was bugged. That will certainly be
annoying in the future and it ain't
going to get fixed, so we're just going
to have to fight through it. First and
10, little motion wheel route here. Oh
my god, am I open?
And Lamar actually waited on that, which
was better. And we're in the end zone.
Lamar played that better than I did. I
called for the ball. I probably called a
little early and Lamar made up for it.
That was huge. My game day objective is
to win two run blocks, which I kind of
hate. Come to my side.
Come to my side, I'll put up a block for
you. Hey!
I assume they're counting that as a
block win, right? First and 10, just got
a little out route here. We take what we
can get and I'm going to get around the
corner.
Oh my god, why was my juke so good? That
was cracked. Dude, the juke in college
sucks and I don't have any juking stats.
I'm so shocked I just juked that well.
I'm about to keep doing that, especially
until I get my trucking up as high as I
want, until I get my break tackle as
high as I want. Maybe the juke in the
open field is kind of kind of nasty. My
jumping's high, too. Maybe I can hurdle.
I'm a check down machine right now. Take
a huge hit right there, but dude, we're
moving the rock. Oh darn it, Hipner's
the route here. I'll just be a good
blocker.
Yeah, buddy. Okay, second and 10. Deep
crosser.
That was almost a money ball out of
Lamar. I respect that. Mesh spot. Just
got a little little mesh route here and
we can see with film study that they're
in a zone coverage. And I'm really open.
Though it was fourth down, that should
be enough for Tyler Lockett though.
Ooh, that's a great route to run right
there. Blake Cashman, get get to me.
Damn, Josh McTellis. Josh McTellis just
hearing me, but that was perfect. We're
having a really good game right now.
Let's keep this up.
Okay, first and 10. Once again, I don't
know what these coverages they're
running, but we're super open. Okay,
we're going duo here. I'm just a good
blocker for my boy Derrick Henry. That's
all I am. I'm going to let Lamar just
run speed option because I'm just such a
good teammate.
Kind of interested to see how they play
this. Oh, that was great.
I mean, I like low-key helped a little
bit with that block. 20 to 10, this game
is virtually over. I might be able to
catch one more pass if I run no huddle.
Don't get the glitch and just kind of
cheese myself a pass here. Oh, pitiful
blocking.
I gave that up. Derrick Henry is good
enough to keep it alive. Oh, yeah, we're
going to get a play here. Play action
halfback wheel. Maybe they run commit. I
just get something free here. Oh my god,
they do. Oh my god, they do.
No meter. Meter is not working how it's
supposed to. That was well past 10.
Either way, made my life real easy.
Maybe the catch was so open no meter was
required. I don't know, but that's a
really fun thing. The defense will run
commit in scenarios where it just seems
so obvious they would run the ball and
you can get free touchdowns like that on
wide receiver, tight end, running back
if you just call a pass play. Another
touchdown. That was a monster game. We
only played like, what, the third and
fourth quarter? We had 11 receptions for
221 and two Oh my god, that was a
monster game. I don't even think I fully
appreciated how big that game was.
Silent count adjustments. Go Journey's
looking good after that. Damn, I'm close
to a team captain. My go tier went up.
11 221 and two progression looking
gnarly. Damn, we are big balling.
X-Factor skill point earned. That's
huge. Let's meet with our agent and
upgrade our player. Got to see what this
is yapping about, bro.
Ah, and my game crashed. It's a classic
issue I have with EA games. When you try
to just play them, it doesn't
work. Sorry, is my brand new Xbox not
strong enough to play your piss-poor
doo-doo dog water tiki hut Nepal
monkey game? Is it not, EA?
All right, more preseason action. This
time, it's Ravens-Commanders.
I was like a little Ravens.
By the way, that's why blocking is a
myth. Like, I have a blocking stat and
my blocking is like 68. I still just
pancake people.
And we're on the hardest difficulty.
Although, interestingly, when I started
this up, I set my quarter length to
4-minute quarters since I figured I'd be
playing a lot of games and it still came
out in 6-minute quarters.
So, not sure if it's just different for
preseason. It's kind of an assy route I
just ran. First and 10. I also play with
excel clock on. Um, there's just so many
games and I want to get myself to the
playoffs. I'm sure some of you really
appreciate love the grind. I like the
big moments. Also, it is kind of crazy
how even on like four-ish minute
quarters, you know, if you're calling
for the ball, you're still going to have
11-12 catches and 100 some yards. Okay,
first and 10. I'm the primary on this
one.
Lamar gets it out quick. Going to second
six. Honestly, with the speed I've got,
oh, this is perfect. Look at this
scenario. Is there a chance I really get
single coverage here? They can double me
down the field.
Hmm,
I could still get it. No. Checks it
down. A big pancake just for fun. This
is single coverage. This could be an
opportunity use that green meter. LET'S
FIND IT. OH!
OH! OH, Mat Meeks! Yo, the sun was in my
eyes. I'm not CeeDee Lamb. I'm Mat
Meeks, baby. I can catch those.
Huh? Simple route here. Oh. whoa, whoa.
I didn't know he threw it. That's my
bad. It's my fault, OG. A lot of motion
plays in this Ravens playbook. Bateman's
going to come over. Let's scout out our
squad after this game.
I'll take a little one. No truck. Darn
it. Third and one. Going to go lay the
hammer here.
Going to go lay the hammer here. I'm in
the dirt doing nothing. Yes. My
teammates need to pick me up after that
piss-poor block. I need to get chewed
out by somebody. Uh, play action cross
here. I have no route. So, I'm an MM
blocker once again.
But, I'm a good teammate.
And I'm not above that.
This is a crazy play. That's a wicked
route combo.
I'll just take the easy one. Out and
ups. Ooh.
Sure. A little post route on this one.
This could be nasty.
Holy
Lot of collision. A cool ability would
be no collision. Just let me run
straight directly through people like a
ghost.
Okay, that was my worst idea yet. I'mma
be honest. Lamar didn't throw that to
me. Picking on my ass, Lamar. Here we
go. Since we know it's zone, I should be
able
Ooh.
That was the worst route known to
mankind. I should have ran my damn
route. Those were bad reps. But, I first
want to tell you, I need one more catch
and five more yards to get my game day
challenge. Should be easy enough.
Mark Andrews, I'll be a teammate. Oh.
No, I won't.
Hey, anytime Mark Andrew fumbles
is a good case for me.
Every single time he does that, that's
how I become the starter. He's going to
do the 6-7 on me. Get cross.
He's going to do the 6-7 on us. Brutal.
Not sure if I'm playing this whole game
or just the first half. So, let's make
sure we get our catch here for 5 yards.
Easy.
I think the worst part about the meter
in this game is it cannot figure out
when it wants to pop out and when it
doesn't. Like
sometimes you'll be like clearly 10
yards across and it just won't pop. And
then sometimes like that it'll pop up
super late. Honestly though, it's my
fault. I got to be ready for the meter
every single time. That solves it.
Whether it's a check down that it
shouldn't be on or what, I just need to
be ready for the meter. First and 10,
Lamar's getting hot. Tell me I got a
deep one here.
Nope.
Good ball. Motion, wide receiver angle
post. So weird play.
Oh.
Lamar, Lamar, you know I'm open down
there. Primary. Love being the primary.
This could be a really good opportunity.
Marky Mark comes over. Oh.
I just dusted him.
What are you doing, buddy? I mean, I am
pretty fast though. That's that 90
speed, 90 excel to start the season.
Love to see that. I'll take an easy one.
Looks like I'm playing the whole game.
Try and get an A+ teammate grade.
Oh, wowzers, I'm open.
Can't eat the hit, but damn I'm open
there.
Oh.
Had Sunny Styles on me. Sunny Styles is
really good. I don't know if I would
have gave that one away.
Ooh. Ooh.
I just glazed Sunny Styles and I tried
to take a catch right in front of him.
That's my choke, coach. That's on me.
It's preseason. If I want to call for it
and give us a loss, I'm over it. I can't
be doing that in the playoffs, so that's
for sure. MM blocker, I'm not above it.
I'm not above it. I'm not above it. I'm
not above it. Nice. Wow, I'm really not
above it. I am MM blocking today.
Those are great blocks though. Third and
inches, that's actually a pretty good
opportunity for play action.
Especially if they bite hard.
Ooh.
Green!
That was a nasty catch. Okay, rookie.
What are they going to say to the rookie
now? Oh, I'm open.
Sort of.
See like there, that's like 11-12 yards
downfield, no meter on that one. I don't
know how the game decides. 26 in the
fourth quarter here. If our defense
stops them, we have a really good
opportunity.
Contested. Damn. Sticky fingers plus
getting that specialist boost for
calling it. I'm going to be a scary ass
tight end.
When it's all said and done. Lamar, do
it, buddy. We had that. See what kind of
coverage this is.
Leo Chenal is going to talk Go
make the Kansas City fraud. You ain't
winning with Washington. Third and
10. Quick little Leo Chenal stray in
this video. You know, you never know
what to expect. Here we go. Here we go.
Oh, he's so little, Matt Meigs. Fourth
and inches now. You can't get got like
that. Oh, huge. Where's Derrick Henry?
How the Derrick Henry not in for
this? I guess this is preseason.
Honestly, Lamar shouldn't even be in.
And that was a damn good run by Justice
Hill. We'll take it, boys. 21 to 21. We
can win this game. We can absolutely win
this game.
Easy underneath. Dot to Mark Andrews.
Nice play, Lamar.
I'm open.
I'm
Was that really red? That felt so green
bean.
It's not messing up. Honestly, I think
the meta is to release a little bit
early cuz the bar seems to lag a little
bit. Cuz I could have sworn I was green.
I just got to keep getting reps. So, the
first and 10, tough drop. Game ain't
over. We'll survive.
I'll take the check down, Lamar. If
we're going to do a little check down,
I'll do it, you know. I'm not above
that, either.
Ooh, I'm so open.
Took a huge hit from Sonny Styles,
though. Got to get in the end zone.
First and 10. We got three time outs.
Damn, I am wow.
The angle of the century. I'm getting
laid out though. My wear and tear, I'm
sucking air. You can see that left side
bar is the wear and tear bar, and I'm
about half drought right now. But
honestly, it's definitely better than
college football cuz I'd be absolutely
dead on arrival
if this was college football, just
straight up. Big play.
Oh, he's in.
He's in! It's our fourth string tight
end.
Oh my god, what a play. Wow. I mean,
it's preseason, so let's not go crazy.
That's pretty darn big win, bro. Move up
the depth chart. We're almost there. We
honestly got a lot of upgrades to use,
so we should use them. I'm close to
unlocking silver tier catching. I think
we need trucking and break tackle.
That's what I'm going to spend on here.
Okay, so break tackle's up to 81,
trucking is up to 81, and we've got two
brand new abilities from that.
Physicals-wise,
I can get 93 speed, and I can get 81
stamina. Beautiful. I can also get I
think we will need some agility
eventually. I'll keep I'm going to go
agility. I'm going to go locked in.
Easily enter the zone and persistent,
harder to knock out of zone. That is all
for the fourth quarter. We've got a lot
of specialties to use here though, like
a lot. We got 10 points here. I think we
go call for ball gold tier. And then
we're also going to go call for dots all
the way up to gold tier. Damn, if we get
two more specialist points, we will have
what? Platinum tier call for loss,
influences strength of pass when calling
for the ball. And I can get an X-Factor
now. Looks like there's tiers of double
me. That's new. I've never known there
to be tiers of X-Factors. We're
obviously going double me. I am
genuinely so confused. It doesn't seem
to say what the extra tier does. So,
double me, when in the zone, increase
success rate on agg catches against
single coverage. How can that get
better? I'm excited to see if you can
take a look at our active abilities now.
We've got double me, call for dots, and
call catch gold tier, three mentals. I'm
really liking this. I'm liking this a
lot. And with that, we are officially
into week one of our NFL career. Our
first real game. We're going to enter as
the backup. It's 14 to 14 against the
Colts. It's going to be a big one. But
damn, are we off to a good start or
what? We're an 82 overall already. And
Matt Meeks for the Baltimore Ravens is
looking like a monster. My go journey is
certainly going to need some work
though. I'm simply a rising star. We've
got a long way to go to where we go. But
this should be fun, boys. Next episode
for superstar tight end, I think I'm
going to play through my entire first
season in the National Football League,
and we'll see where that takes us. I
love you boys. Thanks for watching as
always, and I'll see you guys in the
next video. Peace.
