I Found Every New Indie Sewing Pattern Released in June (So You Don't Have To!)

All right, you guys. We have a ton of new patterns to cover from June. I know I'm a little bit behind, but so many were coming in literally till like the last day that I thought I needed to take a minute and organize them so that whenever you guys come to watch this video, you would be able to find your way through them more easily. Because I'm not even kidding, there are 35 new patterns that I was able to find this month. There might even be more that I wasn't able to find. So, I've organized them by garment type. You're going to see down here there's going to be chapters in the video. So, if ever you want to come back to this video and be reminded, oh, what were those dresses that just came out in June? Whatever. You can come and just watch the dress chapter. Um, but hopefully organizing this way will be helpful for everyone. Let me know in the comments section if you can think of a better way for me to do this that doesn't require 45 videos a month to cover, you know, all the different angles of this. Please, please let me know. I'm always welcoming you guys' constructive feedback. So, without further ado, let's get started. We're going to jump to the screen share and we're going to start with our very first pattern. All right, so our first pattern for June is the Givy scalloped lace mini dress with ruffled hem. This is a dress that was made to twirl. It's our take on the viral scallop lace mini that's been all over Instagram and Tik Tok. What they're talking about is this Givoni dress that everybody started making their own version of. A lot of people were doing it without a pattern because it is such a simple design, but um Sister Mag Patterns created an actual pattern for it. So, it's romantic, breezy, a little bit playful, fully lined and finished inside with couture details. So, it feels as beautiful as it looks. the kind of throw it on and go piece you'll reach for all summer. So, we have Let me see if I can get a full length picture here. There we go. Oh, I hate that that happened. The hem got budged up in their pictures. Darn. Um, that's okay. It probably only something that I would notice because I'm weird like that. But anyways, you have a scalloped self hem, meaning the fabric is scalloped and you're leaving it like that. You're not actually scalloping it yourself. It comes that way and you're just leaving it raw. um gathered ruffle flounce, a crafted silhouette. This isn't a simple straight cut shift. The back panels are wider and a touch longer than the front so the dress falls with extra volume and a gentle dip behind for real movement and shape. Fully lined hidden inseam pockets, concealed side zipper, self-fabric straps, and subtle bust darts. You're also going to do under stitching at the neckline and arm holes, plus bias bound seams give a clean, high quality inside. Okay. Yeah, that is a lot. How much is this? This dress is $14. Not bad. Um, sizing it comes in their sizes 34 to 50, which means what? That means nothing to us. I wish that they would put fine 34 to 50, but then put like up to x amount of inches for the bust or up to x amount of inches for the hip. I've seen some others do it that way and that's really helpful because I mean the those numbers mean nothing. Um, where would their where would their size chart be? It should also have a link here at the very least for a size chart. Oh, here we go. Is this the sizes? Okay. So, we're going to assume that letter D is the full bust, which is 38.2 in up to 52.4 in. And that would make your hip, no, not your hip. Your hip would be, they don't actually even do the hip. Maybe we can use F sort of. Um, and that would be 62 to 76. So, it is a very generously voluminous garment. You would definitely want to make it off of your upper bust size, full bus size to make sure that the volume from here is going to be plenty. Um, but you want to make sure that it looks proportionate to your upper body, which let's get a good picture of that. Yeah, we're not getting a lot of great pictures of that, honestly. And every single one of them has this issue, which I don't love. Oh, I also don't love the full screen pictures because you have to click through. No, no clicking through. We're only going this way. No, there's more. Okay, there's this one with the pockets. Yeah, it does seem like for her, at least this model, that this might be a little bit too long. So, double check that as well. The the arm side depth looks okay. um maybe a scoch shorter I wouldn't be upset with, but this might be too wide set the straps. So, just double check that if you're going to make it. But yes, this was everywhere. Everyone looks super cute in it. Um and it is definitely a really good knockoff from a very, very, very expensive uh ready toear couture $1,000 garment. Okay, next we have a new free pattern. I will be adding this to the master list of free sewing patterns that I have on my website. If you're not familiar with this yet, get with it. There's like I don't know, hundreds of free sewing patterns in this list. I'll leave the link for you down below. Um you just click that and you'll get the page. You can save it to your whatever notebooks, bookmarks, however that works, and access that anytime you're looking for a new pattern. Um, this one is the Penny Shift Dress from Tess Jean. It is designed for makers of all levels, especially beginners. Ready to sew their first garment. Relaxed fit, flattering beine, timeless silhouette. Yes, I agree with all of that. This has an all-in-one facing finish at the neckline and arm holes. Love that. Design is a simple slip-on with no zip closures, no buttons, no none of that. So, it's an affordable make, but also really great for beginners. It's an approachable introduction to garment sewing. Overall inseam pockets are included. I'm sorry. Optional inseam pockets are included for those wanting to learn new skill, but they can easily be blah blah blah. Okay. Um, first project in my threepart free beginner sewing series. So, I'll make sure to stay on top of what she's releasing so we have all of that. These are the formats that you get. Um, blah blah blah blah blah blah. Fabric. Um, you shouldn't need too much of fabric. Sizes are going to be size chart is going to be size chart is going to be oh boy. Um okay a bust of 30 up to 46.1 and the hips are 34 up to about 50 and a half. So not the most size inclusive thing we've got going on here. Um but you know she's a New Zealand designer. The Europeans, does that even count as Europe? Oh my gosh. Um, they're a little bit weird about the sizing, unlike us in America who were like, "Let's make one for everybody. Let's make it everybody can have one," which I mean, they're a little bit behind the times, but you can see it is just a little simple little situation here. It looks great on her. I do love the fit on most of these. Let me look what happened here. Yes, zoom. Zoom. No, zoom doesn't work. Um, oh, that one she had a tie. Okay, so when you add the tie and you tie it around your back, it is going to give you drag lines that point to the tie. So, that makes sense. Um, so she was using that to nip it in a little bit. Okay, cute. I mean, cute for free, right? Spend a little bit of time on the fitting. It will probably be worth it. All right. Next, we have Annie's Sewing Studio. Now, I did not do this on purpose. They look a lot alike. My bad. Um, but this is the Joanie dress. Um, and it is 7 and 12B, which I'm not going to convert. I imagine in dollars it's similar to that these days, but it is a very, very similar silhouette. The only difference is they've done this little kind of angled situation which is kind of nice. Um V-neck mini dress bias binding detailing. So I think all of this is bias binding I think. Um sew along video instruction pack seven sizes included. That's great. Um this is the fabric that you would need. What sizes does all that mean? Okay. Um, so yeah, we're not going to get to Let's see if this is it. Okay, this I think is the size chart. So 32 up to 48 in the bust and 35 to 51 in the hip. So not that much better than the last one, but you do get um this little fun like color blocking opportunity. I can't see the screen. Excuse me. Excuse me. Excuse me. Not your time to shine. Not your time to shine. Thank you. Um, so you're able to make some really cool kind of like funky looks with that or keep it all neutral and monochromatic like this. And it looks a little bit more elevated, I think. Um, so that's fun fun with bias tape. And the fit on all these people looks really good. Um, namely I'm looking at the depthness, the depth of this, um, and the arm size situation because that's usually a problem with sleeveless garments. But all of these look really good on everybody. Two thumbs up. We have the wardrobe by me June dress sewing pattern. This, let's look at it this way. Yeah, this is a sleeveless dress and top with relaxed alien silhouette back closure, clean facings at the neckline or a standing collar. Perfect for lightweight woven. I'm surprised to see that. Linen, cotton or viscous and okay, all of that great model wear. Okay. Yes. Yes. Yes. Style with these other patterns of theirs. That's cute. This is everything that you get with it. Fabric and notions are going to be one or two small buttons. So, this says light to medium weight woven fabrics. And up here it says lightweight. Well, it just says use them. Use fabrics in right lightweight woven fabrics. But so, that's a little bit confusing especially for the beginner. Um, but I think that it surprised me. Anyways, I think you could make this out of probably literally any fabric under the sun. You just got to remember the heavier weight it is, the more structured and crisp it is, the less the more it's going to stand away from your body, especially that mock neck will get, you know, kind of stiff. Not that that's a bad thing. It could be a really good thing. If it's really drapey, that mock neck is going to fall down, which is why I was surprised to see kind of drapey fabrics there. But because you have the zipper opening, you don't need to worry about getting it over your head. It's going to be fine. Um, okay. I still don't see their sizing is 0 to 24. I don't know what that means. Oh, here we go. A 30 to 50 inch bust measurement. Yes. Okay, let's look at these pictures. It is in black. Oh, here's a green one. Okay. Okay. Another little shift dress. Simple silhouette. Here's a blue one. I think that the facing is kind of deep on this one. Like a good one in. Oh, there she made it into a top. These must be the matching shorts that she's mentioning somewhere in here. Cute little set. Cute little set. Here is the um body measurements and fabric requirements. So again, yeah, that 30 to 50 in bust and 32 to 53 and 1/4 in hip. Still not size inclusive. That's not what we like to see as the standard, but it's better than some I've seen. She's like in the middle somewhere when it comes to size inclusivity. And then you even get um finished garment measurements here, too. So yeah, it's not bad. It's cute. Again, three little simple ones in a row, though. I was looking for a line drawing. Yeah. So, you get the little darts. I didn't This is the only one with the mock neck is the black one. Yeah. Is that No, I can only zoom in that much. Yeah, it is nice. This would be great in like a double knit. I can see it being kind of an allseason type of garment, too. I mean, you could definitely wear it in the summer without the mock neck. Add the mock neck for fall. In winter, you can wear like a a sleeve top underneath it. You know, it could really just take you all seasons. [snorts] Okay. Chalk and Notch came out with the Bora. Oh, how much was that one? By the way, did we go over that? Oh, 1474 US. All right. So, the Bora pattern from Chalk and Notch. Chalk and Notch is known for having expensive patterns. That's their prerogative. $18 for a dress with two views. You get puff sleeves gathered at the shoulder and elbow with an optional back tie. Or view B is a sleeveless tank and has a wide scoop back. Both views have a V-neck fitted bodice with princess seaming. V-neck fitted bodice with princess seaming, an empire waist seam, and an A-line skirt available in long or short length. Both both these have a center back invisible zip. And the skirt pieces can be placed on the straight grain or bias cut. Great. So, we have sizes 0 to 30 to four bust cup options. It does look like the hip is kind of fitted in this one. Like there's not a ton of ease there, so you do want to still check the size chart. Recommended fabrics are all of these, which are a lot. Um, you'll need interfacing, an 18-in zipper, elastic for VA. That's it. Not a ton of crazy notions. Um, oh, and a hook and eye. Okay, great. Fabric and notions chart is here. Oh, that's interesting. Okay, we have fabric and notions. Oh, fabric and notions. No, I want the size chart. I want the size chart. How do I undo this? Go here. Um, where's the size chart, guys? Scrolling down. Scrolling down. Scrolling down. We'll get there. Nope. Gosh, I wish it was easier to find these things. Pattern details and illustrations. Oh, here we go. Okay, that should say size chart, but whatever. So, 30 in to 54 in bust, high bust, cuz remember you have those four cup sizes. And then the hip is 35 to 59. So, we'll call that size inclusive. And then the finished um hip has 3 in of 4 in of ease. So, like I thought, it is um a little bit snug in the hip. So, you'll want to make sure that that skirt fits you and then bring it in at if you're hourglass like me, bring it or pear-shaped, bring it in at the hip and then make sure the bust fits you using those bus different bust cups. So, I mean, $18 for a pattern that you don't have to spend a lot of time fitting, that you do have a few different options on, you know, it can be justified if you want. Okay, we got a couple patterns from Daughter Judy um that we'll see throughout this series. This first one is their dress. It's the Bash dress. This is an everyday throw it on simple piece for when you need comfort, coverage, and a little edge. Structured but not stiff. Hang straight with just enough shaping to remind everyone there's a body underneath. Okay. Wardrobe staple. Um blah blah blah. This it's a let's see. The double D range comes in sizes extra small to 2X and the double J range comes in sizes 1X to 5X. Do Oh, DD and JJ for daughter Judy. Okay. [snorts] They do an interesting kind of like pay what you can type of um pricing model. You can read more about it in their about section, but basically they offer a few of them every release at this like starter price that just covers what it costs to design the pattern. And then if you want to cover some overhead, you can pay this secondary price tier. And then if you want to like go the most, then you pay the full $20. It really does help you see inside kind of why everything costs what it costs and helps you understand where your money is going. Um, which is interesting to think about because how come the basic cost of developing this pattern is $14, but the other like the first pattern we looked at that cost $14, assuming with all the overhead and extra, how come that one costs less? Are they spending money on like a larger staff? Are they spending money on a pattern drafter? Like are they drafting their own patterns? Like how much does this website cost? You know, all of those kinds of things go into what their base price costs. And that's why I think the pricing varies so much from sewing pattern to sewing pattern. All right. from our friends at Etsy. Um, June Pattern Studio, they release a pattern, I want to say like every couple weeks. They're they're on it with their patterns. Um, and I am planning on doing a video about Etsy and Etsy sewing patterns in general because with the onset of AI, it's gotten even more confusing to navigate Etsy. So, I will be doing a video about that. But, this is their midi slip dress. They the names aren't super descriptive. Um, a little video. I do love the bias binding. They're really good at using bias binding and really creative and beautiful ways. They've done it with a few of their other patterns and always looks really good. But it looks like you have this like um empire waistish type thing with the gathered bust cups and then the the real detail is this like fold over button snap situation. You might have fisheye darts in the back and also this. It's kind of hard to tell from the line drawing. Um, but there she is on a tree and beside a tree. That is a cute little detail, right? It's kind of like sailory 1940sish. Oh, this I wanted to see the back. Does it look like there's That's all I can zoom. I actually don't think there's I don't think there's fisheye darts there, but you could put them in and have the strap do the the belt do a little bit less of the work if you wanted. Um, here's some other versions. That's an example of what the instruction booklet looks like. If I remember, her sizes weren't that bad. This is fabric usage. You'll need four buttons in addition to your fabric. Um, okay. Here are the body measurement charts. So, in inches, we've got roughly 31. This is the bust. 31 to 46. And in the bust, and the hip is going to be 33 to 50. So again, that like middle range where it's not like come on, get with it, but it's also not size inclusive. [snorts] Okay, next up for the dresses, we have Sinclair Patterns Lena woven dolman style dress with ties. It is a relaxed through the shoulders bust and waist woven dress cut in a dolman style with princess seams running from the shoulder to the waistband. Four fiveish cup sizes. Round neckline finished with bias binding. Fabric ties sit at the natural waist on both sides um or left loose. Skirt is slightly gathered for gentle fullness. comes in three lengths. Um inseam pockets. There's sleeves. The relaxed dolman sleeve finished with a cuff or gathered sleeve with a gathered cuff, which is this um seams can be finished. All right, great. Um lightweight woven fabrics techniques to master. I love this when they do this. You're going to be doing French seams, gathers, inseam pockets, under stitching, and cuffs. So, if you've not if you've done all those before, this will be a breeze for you. If you've done most of them, but maybe one thing would be like a new skill, that would be a skill developer. If a lot of these you're like, "What the heck does that mean?" Then this isn't the pattern for you just yet. Come back after you've got a little bit more um garment sewing underneath under your belt. Is that how you say it? In your belt. What's that saying? Um okay. The sizing. They do have three lengths. US0 to 30. What does that mean? Yeah, it shouldn't be that hard. Let's see if it's up here. No. Oh, I do love a dolman sleeve both because it looks relaxed and easy to wear. Also because it's super easy to sew. you don't have to worry about a set in sleeve. I also feel like this one's kind of hackable, right? Like you could leave the gathers off, maybe even remove the waist seam altogether and just extend the bodice into like a really roomy dress with like no waist definition. Um, you could change the neckline a bunch. I don't know. I feel like there's a lot of options. Okay, I think we've gone Gosh, there's a lot of pictures. Yeah, this is the beginning. And no Oh, here we go. Sizing. Um, okay. So, we've got a 31. No, 32 1/2. Well, it's the upper bust cuz they have these bust cups. Okay. So, 31ish to 54 1/2ish on the bust and then 34 to 63. So, that is a size inclusive pattern if I've ever seen one. Um, it's even got cups and lengths for petite and tall people. So, you can't ask for more. It's on sale right now for 974. I don't know if that's tied to its release or if it's like end of summer sale. I'm not entirely sure. So, if you like this, go and get it while it's still on sale. Okay. Next up, we have the Arabella dress from Rebecca Jane Patterns. Uh, perfect sewing pattern. I wonder why this looks different. This is the Etsy UK. Never seen it before. I wonder, can you not find her in America? Anyways, um it looks like I can still buy it, obviously. Um perfect sewing pattern to wear for any occasion. A line midi dress with princess seams. Bias cut skirt with knife pleats. Now, that is interesting to me. Is it necessary? Like I've only ever seen bias cut skirts on like slinky dresses. If you have volume in the skirt from the knife plates, what's the benefit of bias cut then? Does it just give you like a more beautiful like body at the hem or something? I'm trying to think why. I mean, obviously it would create like folds that would be prettier than not, but it does take up a lot of fabric. So, I would consider cutting it on the straight grain for sure. Two options. V A is a spaghetti strap and VB is a wide gathered strap. There's a video tutorial. Two bus cup sizes. All right. So, let's find a size chart in here. Yeah, princess seams through the bodice. They are an interesting shape. This little hourglass looking shape. You can see how it goes like that. That's interesting. You've got your dedicated waist seam and then your knife pleat in the back. You've got pleats like a lot more of them. And then here's the gathered. This is what the gathered ruffle graded strap looks like. Okay. Cute. All right. Here's the size chart. So, centimeters, cime Oh, inches. Okay. So, 29 1/2 to 55 1/2. If you're doing the D cup, you've got 35 and 12 to 55 and 1/2. Interesting. Okay. Oh, the waist probably matters, too. The waist would be The waist would be [laughter] waist would be 24 and a half to 50 and then 30.3 to 50. I don't know why it's so different. Oh, because we're starting at size 14. Okay, that makes a little bit more sense. Choose based on your high bust and waist measurements. Perfect. Okay, here it is on her. This is Rebecca Jane. So, this is her sample. Looks pretty darn good. I do love this little trim detail. So, if the skirt is cut on the bias, I can see how we would get these beautiful folds here. But, was the back not cut on the bias? Cuz that's they're looking like two different skirts front to back. This is much slimmer than the front. It does say optional here. I would like to see the pattern pieces. [snorts] Okay, here it is on a tester. It looks good. It looks very fitted. Very fitted. And possibly a little bit long in the bodice. Can you see how it's like got a I'm talking half an inch slicing that out. And plus, you want to also make sure that these open up as your bum starts to get bigger. Not not these look too long to me. I would want them to be a little bit shorter so that these knife plates are are gradually opening over your bum. But you can see on her the back length is just fine. So, it really is a very individual thing. Um, I'm always checking bodice length though because I have a short torso. But yeah, again, it's feeling a little bit fitted, so maybe the ease in the bodice isn't there just isn't that much. Um, I'd want to have like at least a positive 1 in of ease. And then you can see here how it's a little bit too long for her in the back. Also, the pockets aren't giving. That shouldn't be what an inseam pocket looks like. But all in all, across the board, oh, here's the the spaghetti strap. It does look like two totally different dresses. Eyelet obviously, but yeah, across the board for everybody, the fit looks very acceptable. And this is I mean, anything that I have to say about fit is just me being super super picky. So cute. Okay. All right, next we have the Good Day Pattern English Rose Ruffle Maxi Dress. Well, if this isn't just right up my alley, um $6, less than $6.50. It is on sale, but normally under $10, so that's not that bad. The design I get is not revolutionary. You can probably hack this from something you might already have at home. But gosh, she's beautiful. And it really does lend itself to thrifting your fabric. The volume of all of this, you probably, if you're going to go get a sheet from Goodwill, I a queen sheet is like 2 and 1/2 yards wide and 2 and 3/4 yards long. So, for something like this, just to be safe, you probably want to get the flat and the fitted sheet and maybe even the pillow cases because you could cut the straps and this out of the pillowcase [snorts] and then just use all of this for the sheet and the flat sheet. Um, but I don't know the measurements of a king or twin or whatever, so you'd have to look those up. But it is really cute. Oh, here she is in movement movement. Gosh, you know, that could be I mean it is a simple design, but like you could make that for many different occasions, you know, maybe not like black tie, but maybe even black tie if you got the right fabric. You know what I'm saying? Like maybe not a sheet for black tie, but you could make this out of so many things and it would it would carry you to many different occasions. That's that there's some value in that too. [snorts] Okay, here she is in the Okay, measurements. So, we have a bust of 31 and 12 up to 62.2. So, very size inclusive there. And oh, these are what the instructions look like. I know on Etsy we're always like, what's it going to be like? Um, but this looks pretty good. Look at all these illustrations and the call outs and all of that. It does seem very thorough. So, love to see that. That looks good. And then, yeah, there's the design. I will say it does look like a rectangle on top from the front, but there is some shaping happening here. There is some design happening with this bodice piece. Do you have a bodice piece like that in your stash already? Probably. And then you just add all your tears. I wouldn't be surprised if she did like a 2:1 ratio on the tears. 1 and 1/2 to one at least is just so much volume. And then I also bet that these are not rectangles. Actually, I bet there is more volume down here. Oh, cuz this is flat. Okay. Okay. I'm overthinking this. So, yeah, a 2:1 ratio will give you tons of gathers and give you all this beautiful flowy volume. The fit is like pretty simple. You just fit this bodice piece and the rest falls into place because you just adjust the ties for length. Was there like a zipper situation or is this going This can't possibly go over your head. There has to be a zipper. Let's see. Did we get any notions or any Oh, here we go. Here we go. Here we go. [snorts] Do we see a zipper? No. Is that just going over your head? That's kind of crazy. Did this have anything? No. No. Okay. Well, if it doesn't have a zipper, my gosh. You would obviously um shure the back piece, like make it a little bit longer. Sure it. And then it'll really even fit you even closer. So, I don't know. It's simple design. I get it. You can probably hack it, but 650, I mean, come on. Okay, next we have the in May Daria top and dress. Uh, wardrobe edition you'll cherish forever. Delightful blend of sweetness and allure. Adjustable gathered bust line and captivating deep V- neckline are sure to draw attention and make it a year- round favorite. Adjustable in the bust line, making it a great top to wear loose or tight over swimmers on a night out or any or for any occasion. Beginner friendly sizes 6 to 22. Dwing tutorial materials sizing. Okay, here's our size chart. Uh 6 to 22. So, I guess we Oh, they're in centimeters. Shoot. I don't know what the conversion is on that. So, you'd have to do the math, but let's look at some of these pictures. Okay, so we've got a V-neckline and this drawstring casing. It's open. It's completely open like a vest. And then the casing is what ties it together. So, it's I mean, it's um not revealing, but it's definitely not modest. [laughter] I don't know how to say it. Um I do feel like the casing is a little bit deep or wide, whatever the word is, for this skinny drawstring. And that's what's keeping it from having all the folds look really even. Do you know what I mean? Hers looks okay. But like this, this looks sloppy to me, you know? Like that doesn't look very polished. Um, and then this is I guess the top length. And then you add on this ruffle skirt, but the skirt doesn't even look that ruffled. Okay, here's a closeup. Yeah, hers looks okay. Here's another one. Oh, so the dress is also open. Like half of the half of this is sewn closed, but then you finish it and it's still open through here. Interesting. I wonder what happens when you let out the tie. What does that look like? Did anybody do that? Why would anybody do that? Um, yeah, it's it's golly. You know, you probably have some kind of V-neck top or dress that you just cut up the middle of it, add a drawstring at the underbust, and call it a day. You might even have a pattern that already has like elastic here. I think I'm looking at this and I'm seeing very hackable or very yeah hackable from another pattern that you might already own. If you're new to sewing, maybe you're looking at this and thinking, I don't even know where to begin to hack this. Oh my gosh. So, in that case, yeah. Well, how much is it? $22? No. No. I don't know. It's cute, but It's cute, but [sighs] could I mean, we can't even really hack it into much other than a longer dress. My brain my brain is not going to allow this for me. For me, it is cute though. And you know what? Me 15 years ago would have definitely spent $22 on this. So, no judgment if you buy it for full price, but I think I could just hack it. Very inspirational. Thank you for the design, but it's a little too simple for me for $22. All right. Tilly and the Buttons Leah top and dress. This is 19 and 12B. Um, pattern format. Oh, wait. Not printed. We want PDF. That should get cheaper. Oh, okay. [clears throat] 15 pounds. I thought it was going to be a lot cheaper than getting it printed, but all right. Description, Leah. The pattern you'll make and wear on repeat. Everyday shift top or minimalist mini dress to throw on and go. Fancy more whimsy. Add the gathered skirt to make a pretty pleum top or floaty tiered midi dress. Optional playful tie sides. I do feel like the tie sides are something we saw in this pattern, too. They had tie sides. So, that's a a fun little trend that's emerging. Um, confident beginners pattern sizes. So, we've got high bust of well, there's no bust cups on this one. So 30in bust up to 60in bust and then a 33in hip up to a 61 in hip. So that would be considered size inclusive although you might still have to do full bust adjustments um if you have a fuller bust. Um, notions wise, you just need one button, ironon, stay tape or bias cut interfacing and then bias binding or make your own and then obviously a sewing machine. So, not that many supplies, not that many notions. Um, mediumweight woven fabrics that hold their shape, linen, cotton, twill, lightweight canvas, or jacquard for other versions. Oh, that's a shift dress. For other versions, light to midweight woven such as cotton popppllin, lawn, sears sucker, double gauze, linen blends, and viscous rayon. Okay, there's your fabric requirements. All right, back to the top and we'll look at some of these pictures and we get a little video. Let's see. I thought that was going to be a video. Maybe not. Yeah, the side ties are really cute. I think that I think that they're unlined. Like there's not a facing back there. That's like her skin and her bra, I think. Um, so keep that in mind. And this is one of the ones where, you know, if you need a full se a full bust adjustment, you're going to have to do it on this one. Otherwise, the it's kind of actually happening on her where this kind of is shorter in the front than in the back. I don't think that that's the intention. And then you're also getting a lot of like sideness happening here. Let's see if we get another model. Okay, hers is better. Hers is better. They had to have done a full bust adjustment on hers, but well, I'm assuming that. I don't know. But the dart, you can see, is not in the right place at all. But at least it's level here, and it doesn't show a whole lot of that. So, that's good. On its face, it looks like a great little top. I do think that we have a lot of tops like that already in the sewing world. Um, even on the free side of the sewing world. So, I don't know. We need another one of those. But yeah, it's just fitting weird through the bust, I think, on her. And we just hope that that's not for not happening on everybody. This one feels just really low. You can see how low that's going. Let's see if we get a Oh, yeah. That's Nobody wants to see that on themselves. Not I didn't mean to zoom in. It happened on accident, I promise. But yeah, we want that to be up here. So, yeah, definitely some fit issues going on. I'm actually surprised to see it on Tilly and the buttons. She's been around for so long that I would have figured she had all this figured out by now. Um Oops. How do we get out of this? Let me out. Let me out. Oh, here we go. This big giant X here. Um, so yeah, for 15 pounds, I don't know. I don't know. It feels like a little bit of a basic design that doesn't fit well if I'm going to be keeping it 100 with you guys. All right, this is another Etsy designer patterns by Lilia. This is her lake halter. And I do really love this kind of unique take on a halter. It's kind of a halter, but also not because the strap doesn't just get super thin and then stay thin. It gets thin and then gets wide again. So, I really like to see that. But it looks like it's going to be a top, a kind of shift dress or a dress with a really long gather on the bottom. Here is her size chart right up front. Love to see that. In inches, we've got 29 and a half. Nope. We've got 31 and a half bust to 62 almost. And then the hip is 35 and a half up to 606 almost. So very very size inclusive. Love to see it. Not all Etsy there are a lot of Etsy patterns that are not that are not even close to being size inclusive. But it looks like Lilia is going to be the exception, not the rule or the rule. Whatever. You know what I'm saying? She's an exception to what should be the rule. I'm still not saying it right. You guys know what I'm trying to say. Um, okay. It is an elevated staple you want to reach for all summer long. Halterette creates a unique overlap shoulder detail and the pattern includes four views. Hiplength top, flirty dress, midi dress with side seam slits, or a maxi dress with the fun ruffle tier. Um, if you love pretty guts, this one is for you. Entire construction is designed to be completely serger free, giving you the clean finish of your dreams. Love that. Um, fabrics are going to be midweight woven with drape. I wish she would have listed some. Um, balance of structure and drape with zero stretch such as linen, cotton, and viscous blends. This feels like a generic like we're just going to say linen and cotton are good for everything. But, you know, as we know, there's a lot that happens in the linen world or in the cotton world. Um, when you start blending it and talk about weight and stuff like that, um, fabrics of more structure will emphasize the clean lines of the silhouette. They'll stand away from your body more and those will softer drape will kind of fall in on your body, closer to your body. Interfacing and one small button are the only notions you need. There's your fabric requirements. Yeah. And then this, it doesn't look that hard to sew, honestly. There is some bias binding. That's probably what's bringing into advanced beginner. But I mean, it's a cute little dress, right? And I do also want to point out that it is a halter top, but it's not aggressive on the shoulder. You know, sometimes the halter tops can be like they cut in so much that I don't know, it feels like a little bit linebackery to me. Um, this one feels actually like purposeful and really feminine still. And so these are all the versions that all her testers were able to make. So pretty. Yeah, I don't see any fit issues yet, which is great. Okay. Love it. 1765. Don't love that. But [laughter] sometimes you just have to have it. Okay, this is the so bake make baker barrel leg pants pattern. That is hard to say. New favorite pants. relaxed, effortless, structured enough to structured enough to look intentional. These are the ultimate cool girl, cool guy, cool mom, cool person pants. High-rise elastic waist utility pant that is perfectly slouchy. The shape comes from curved side seams and darted inner legs. Both views have front and back patch pockets, cargo pockets, elastic waistband, drawstring, fun top stitching details. Okay. And then you get two different leg views. A I can't really tell them apart on the line drawings, can you? A has a more traditional straight leg shape. I guess this is a I don't know. Um, and then B is the barrel leg view. more curved barrel shaping, much more relaxed, oversized silhouette, and shorter inseam. Okay. Up to a 66 in hip. So, very size inclusive. All right. Let's take a look at these pictures. Yeah. I mean, that doesn't look nearly as obnoxious as you would think, cuz I think we've seen some barrel leg pants in ready to wear and they just aren't doing it. Um, but all of these, this is like a a much drapier fabric that I would have picked for barrel leg pants, too. But it does look great. The crotch seam looks good. The high waist looks good. I'd wear these. They don't feel so Now, this must be view B where it does really get into the full barrel of it all. VA is not that bad, though. That seems very um wearable. It doesn't look like clown pants to me. This is getting closer to that. Um we also have some drag lines here, but I don't know if she was like midmovement. She's turned over turning this way. So, I'm going to give her the benefit of the doubt that that's why that is happening cuz why else would it be happening? There's your top stitching. Beautiful, if I do say so myself. Here's some uh I guess tester versions. Hands and pockets. That's actually so impressive that the first person I saw hands in pockets was so close to the end of this um how do I go back? I'm stuck. Where did the arrows go? Oh, there we go. That was so weird. Oh, here we go. I glitched for the first time I'm seeing hands and pockets is all the way this late in the slideshow. I love that. Okay, here is another pair. Those feel kind of oversized. Yep. A hand and pocket, but still a cool look. I love the belt. I think people were feeling like a little bit goofy and so they're like, "We must take goofy pictures." But [snorts] I think that the the fit on everybody, all these different bodies and genders and everything looks really good. I really don't hate them. I think I'm I think I might have to try. I think I might have to try and then maybe we'll hate it, but and it'll just be pajama pants or lounge pants, but maybe I'll love them. You never know. Okay, and these are 1562 US. Don't love that. Um, next we have another free pattern. It was really strange. I found her on Instagram. It is um God is her name even on here. The name of her pattern company is I thought it was like oh LS Stitch. I was going to say Emma, but it's LS Stitch. Okay. And then you just click on this link on her Instagram bio and you just get the pattern. You don't have to give your email. You don't have to add it to cart. Nothing. Um it is so 100% free. So, it's these lounger pants. Um, elevated take on basic elastic waist lounge pants. Breezy widele fit feature a hidden waistband. Optional drawstring waist, top stitch side pockets, bias bound back pockets, and a deep hem. So, it feels a little bit like um pajama pants elevated just a little bit. Uh, sizes size chart. Okay. So, we've got in the hips 34 up to 57 and 1/2. So, very close to what we would consider size inclusive. Um, finished measurements are going to be that. That's your pattern layout. I don't think we're going to get any pictures or anything cuz yeah, this is the instruction booklet. So, that's that. But, I wanted to show you them because they're free and great little pants, I assume. Maybe on their Instagram you could find. So l_l stitch this here. Okay. Now notches patterns has the tiki trousers and shorts. So again another kind of barrel shape. Um go to for modern comfort with fashion forward twist. Choose between a statement barrel leg trouser or an easywearing pair of shorts. Both designed with relaxed fit, effortless style, and all day comfort in mind. Um size chart is going to be we'll do the hip in inches. So 34 and 5/8 up to 63 size inclusive. And then some of these pictures. Can we make these big? Yes. Okay. Great. So, you see the different versions you have here. Oh, the little ruffle on the bottom is interesting. I don't know how I feel about this little extended middle piece. It's almost like a crotch go day or like a extended gusset. I don't think that I hate it. I don't know that I would accentuate it in the fabric like this. I'm more of a let it all blend in kind of girl. [laughter] So much more subtle on the barrel leg situation. Oh my gosh. You add a ruffle to anything and it becomes instantly cuter. Instantly cuter. I also wonder what that middle piece does for fit. Is it easier to fit? Harder to fit? I'm so curious about that. Yes. Yeah. Oh, faux fly. Okay. All right. She's at a weird angle, so I can't totally tell how the crotch curve is in the back. It's looking a little flat. The front looks good though. Is that the beginning? Nope. Still looking at fresh new pics. Okay, that's the end. So yeah, eight sorry 1534 um US on this one as well. All right, now we have the Tudi fabrics Gracia cools pattern. Um comfortable pull- on pants with a swish of a skirt. High rise. Waist is flat at the front, elasticized at the back. Graceful style features cropped wide legs, generous inseam pockets, top stitch back yolks, forward side seams, hem facings. I mean, it's not the most revolutionary pattern we've ever seen, right? I feel like we all we've kind of been there and done that. Um, cool lots are not, especially widelegg ones are not necessarily super trendy, but they're also not really a basic necessarily. It's an interesting design to put out. Interesting silhouette to put out at this time. Um, but I do like the This is hard. Uh, I do like the yolk. I like the elastic in the back only. These seams seem like they would be helpful. So, of the cool lots I've seen, if you don't have a Coolots pattern, this one's as good as any, um, but you probably have one or a pair of trousers that you would just shorten to cool length. Okay, next we have the Silver Saga Patterns Leah tank top. I'm sorry, tank, top, pants, and skirt. Now, take that in for a second because this pattern is almost $35. I'm going to tell you that if you are brand spanking new to sewing and you're just now building out your sewing pattern collection, this is worth every bit of $35 cuz you get four very different garments. You get basically two tops cuz the armsai on this one is very different than this one. So you get kind of like a grown on sleeve one and then you get like an actual sleeveless pattern. Then you get the skirt and you get the pants. So, if you take 35 and divide it by four, I'm not good at math, but it ends up being sevenish for each of those designs. You see where I'm going with that? It does have separate B and D cups. And I believe it is size inclusive, a 59page instruction booklet, instructions for a full bust adjustment and a fitting guide. Um, yes, this. So, we're looking at 34 and a half [laughter] up to oh, 54 and 38. So, again, that middle range teetering a little bit closer to size inclusive in the hip. Bust is 31 12 to 51 and an eighth. So, pretty size inclusive as well. So, but for the rest of us, I understand that's going to be a hard pill to swallow if you've already got woven tanks and you already got pajama pants, which is essentially what that is. Elastic waist skirt. Again, not revolutionary here. $35 is a lot. It's it it just is. Um, but if you're new, I do think there's going to be a lot of resources here to help you. And the cost per pattern is not that expensive if you already don't have those. But don't buy these and then go start buying other woven tank patterns. Like this will be your woven tank pattern. Okay. Okay. Next, we have the summer set top and bottoms from Love Notions on sale for 950. Again, I can't remember if they have a sale going on or if this is part of the launch, but either way, if you like this pattern, go get it now. $3 off and it is a knit top and woven bottoms. I'm pretty sure you can make the bottoms and the knit too. Um, crossover front top with three sleeve options, coordinating baby barrel capri. So, this is their version of barrel pants. That's three now in this one month. Some set gives you wardrobe staples. I know that they are in size inclusive, so we can just trust that with a full bust adjustment already included. And meant for knit fabrics, bottoms can be knit or woven. Okay. And then two-piece set. Top and bottoms and capri and short options. Sleeve lengths, yada yada yada. Okay, cool. So, let's look at these. Nice and big. All right, there's the top with this interesting like I don't know cowlenecky yolkish design. Pretty little drapey knit she's using. And then you get the four buttons here. The pants capri these barrels are again not I don't think they're barrel enough. I think you can call something a barrel pant and it is because it has these darts in it, right? But if it's not giving the silhouette, then what's the point? Might as well make straight leg pants. But I get that you also don't want to go full barrel like those other ones. This feels like a baby step, which they did call it baby barrel, a baby step into it. Then the other two that we've had have been like wearable barrel and then the one was like fully barrel. Do you know what I mean? So if you're really easing into it, you can do these, but I just don't think you're going to get the real barrel effect at all. All right, these are those were the shorts. Okay, I do like this that they did. That's a really nice detail. A little bit hard to pull off, but they always have good instructions. A little low on the rise, too. I don't love that the very tip top of this still isn't at her natural waist. That for me, I'm just not comfortable with shorts sitting at that place. But every time I see her, she reminds me of my vet, the girls vet trarian. They are a little long. Actually, the inseam is quite long. even though we have this maybe fooling the eye into thinking they're a little bit shorter than they really are. And then here are their testers. Thanks for showing us the waistband. Do appreciate that. If you'll notice, that little detail is on the pants as well. Yeah, I would have leaned into that more so than adding the barrel situation to it. Cute, cute, cute. All right. I think they're going to have a gajillion pictures. You guys can come look at these. But sweet, right? All right. Now, we have the forive Nico skirt and skirt sewing pattern. $28 Canadian, which I don't know what that turns into. I think it's around like $15. This original style came from watching my sister Nicole navigate endometriosis. Wow. personal story. It's a waistband with elastic at the sides and double drawstrings. All right. Are they going to I've seen this all over the internet how it works? Are they going to show us? Basically, you create this like gigantic waist skirt or pants and then these drawstrings are done like oh god. But have you ever seen like a pouch or something where the drawstrings are going opposite of each other and you pull them from the sides and it cinches it in? That's what's happening. I might be doing a bad job of explaining that, but that's how they work. So you have, didn't she say skirt? Skirt and skirt. So, do all these skirts look like have shorts inside? Well, here's the size chart while we're at it. So, the waist is totally negligible, but the hips are 34 to 60. So, we like to see that. Um, flat waistband front gently elasticized sides are allowed. skirt has with a slight A-line shape, pin tuck seams down the front and back, short and long lengths with the option of adding shorts or a skirt lining. Okay, so that's what's happening. Optional shorts on the inside. I don't think you would ever know there's shorts under here, though. It's not that kind of skirt that shows it in the back. I don't think it is quite a cute skirt. Yeah, maybe here you can tell a little bit what what's happening. Hold on. Is that That's not really helping show. It is very interesting. I've seen a bunch of different people um doing like tutorials. I haven't seen a pattern yet though. So, this is the only pattern I think I've seen. Most people are like just cut squares this size. And you can totally do that. But if you like to have a pattern, here you go. Okay. Now, we have the Sabrina skirt from Blackbird Fabrics. This is a $16 um paired down romance with soft, laid-back feel. That's the Sabrina skirt for you. Beginner friendly gathered skirt with a cool curved yolk. Comfy classic waistband. Delicate side ties. up to a 67 in hip and all of this information. This is fabrics notions. You don't even need a lot. Just the elastic really and some interfacing. All right, let's take a look. This is the curved yolk. Ooh, it's cute in that little shirting. It is at the end of the day another one of those that tie on both sides. The same exact thing as the last pattern. I swear I'm not putting these together on purpose. So I think it works the same way, but that one has elastic in it. So maybe you just tie them on the side and it's not actually functional drawring. It is kind of cool though. It's It's a cool yolk without being too western. The play on the stripes is really helping too. Yeah, great. Okay, next up we have the Palens Closet Breakwater Swimsuit. $18. Um, comes in two different bust cup sizes. Sleek strappy swimsuit with an open front and modern playful feel. pattern includes two options. A one piece with bold front and back cutouts and or a coordinating two-piece with separate top and bottoms. The top features angled front panels, narrow elastic elasticated strap, open back. Front panels can slide along the strap so you can customize the positioning and fit. The strap can be secured at the back or tie behind the neck. Bottoms feature a high cut leg. Cheeky back coverage. Swim elastic is used to finish the edges. Whether you're lounging. Okay. Wow, that was a lot of details. Cute little swimsuit. I got to give it to them. Um, pattern details. Yeah, you will need a stretch needle and specifically swimwear elastic and then yeah, swimwear fabric. I know that she's size inclusive, so we don't have to worry about that. But it's a cute little swimsuit design. No, let me see. Yeah, I kind of like that it's like a high-waisted but still open one piece. Okay, here's another Daughter Judy pattern. This is their Hudson bralette. Um, truly it's about the process of refining until it feels so natural it disappears. Because when it comes to bras and bralettes, we all have opinions. The Hudson was designed with this in mind. Remind you that good fit is rarely about perfection on the first try. So, she's already telling us that it's not going to fit on the first try. Um, okay. uh offering multiple areas and opportunities to tweak and customize the fit until it feels entirely your own. Intentional seaming guides and contours without feeling restrictive gives you ability to build structure and support through fabric choice. Not feeling the most confident with that description. This is the starter price and then they're only offering one higher price. Um, but I would think, is it just me? Am I that naive? I would think making a bralette would be one of the easiest pieces of lingerie to fit. Maybe um, central darting, forward side seams, elast encased elastic straps, um, extra small to 2X. and then 1X to 5X. Are there bust cups though? I don't think so. Okay. Um I I don't I don't have a lot of exposure to bralette patterns in general. So, I don't know. I don't even I can't even tell you other than Meline, who works with Simplicity, what other company to go look at for a bralette. But to me, having maybe in the pattern instructions, it's easier to see um how to adjust for size, but I would think having different bus cups right out of the gate would be like the bare minimum. Um okay, so that's that. Okay, now we have the Julie mix and match swimsuit sewing pattern from Ellie and Mac. Um, looks like we have a bunch of different pieces, none of which are giving swimsuit. That's looking like a little pepleum top and legging shorts. This looks like workout wear, like you'd wear that to the gym. Probably. I've seen people wear even that to the gym. So, this might be one of those. There's the real like bikini of it all. This might be like a little bit more of a workhorse than people are realizing, at least that she's selling it as. I mean, yes, you've got your swimsuit whenever you pair it with the swimsuit bottoms, but when you pair it with shorts, you could easily lengthen this and then have matching shorts to go underneath it for modesty, also for shaping. If you know, you know. Um, maybe not the rooouched ones, but the rooouched ones could be cute for like lounging, you know? Maybe you could make it out of different types of knits. Like I feel like the dress could be made out of all kinds of knits. The swimsuit is obviously swimsuit fabric. If you wanted to lounge, you could probably get something like rib knit, pointel, something like that. And then if you were going to make the gym version, the sports bra and shorts, then you'd get like athletic knit. These are really cute swimsuit fabrics, though. I need to know where she's sourcing her swimsuit fabric cuz this stuff's cute. Um, but yeah, I think this is Well, and look, under $10. So, and you get a lot of different options. Let's see. Obviously, we have the mix and match of it all. So, that's just going to lend itself to lots of different swimsuits. But, I also think that you could just use different knit fabrics and wear this out to different places, the gym, out shopping, you know, whatever. I don't think it just has to be smaller fabric, if you ask me. So that's that's great. Cute underbust bow strap detail cup size bikini and tankini options which I'm sure have some kind of support in them. So you wouldn't even need to wear a bra but maybe you could. Mix and match fully lined high waist and low waist bottoms. Roo shorts. Regular shorts in two lengths. Fit guide. Photo instructions. video sew along which is this. So yeah, I don't know. I mean, seems like a lot of value in this to me. If you take out swimsuit and just have Julie mix and match knit sewing pattern or something, you know, like that would that would be very valuable for $10. Lots and lots and lots of options to make this from. Next we have the Just Patterns Camille top. Fitted fully lined sleeveless top with a shaped bodice defined waist and soft flare toward the high hip. It is designed for women fabrics, two views built from the same base with two quite different personalities. Vue A has a keyhole opening below the collar and a center front closure with fabric covered buttons and delicate loops. View B is asymmetric overlapping fronts secured with ties creating a more diagonal line and a bit of movement. And then two cup sizes. Okay, great. Drafted for a height of 5'5. If your measurements are at least one full size outside the chart, smaller than 34, or larger than 60, I grade at no cost. Wow. Okay. So, if you're outside of her size chart, no, you're not, cuz she'll just make you a pattern just for you. What is the size chart anyways? Okay. Here's the top, first of all. So, we have the keyhole with like the little collar stand, the little buttons. I'm pretty sure there's like a flap, like a facing underneath here for modesty, and then you get this little opening. It is really beautifully fitted. Um, let's see. Okay, here's a chart of some kind. Sizing body measurement chart in inches. Okay. B 31 12 to 57 and 1/2. And then the waist is 23 and 5/8 to 49 and 1/8 or 49 and 5/8. So, that's already pretty inclusive. And then, like I said, she'll draft for you if you're outside of that. That's so cool. I wonder what the turnaround time is. Okay, here is again the keyhole. Super cute. I will say it does look like Is that it? It does look like the arm size might be a little bit low. Yeah, you can see it better here. So, I do love how this is cut in really beautifully. the finish on it, whether it's a facing or lining. Beautiful. But yes, we want this to be a little bit higher here. So, flatten this out and not so much of an angle. And I think we will be spot on with the fit. Let's see it on somebody else. Okay, here we've got her. This is interesting because she's got a completely different body shape than she does. She's got more of a defined waist whereas she's more of an apple. So, really interesting to see how it fits her compared to the other woman because it does look like it's pretty high up in the arm seam in the in the arm side for her. Right. Let's see. Also a little bit long for her, especially in the back. But this all looks nice. Let's see. Oh, here's a closeup. Yeah, for her actually. And it might even be a little bit small. A little bit small through the high bust. Yeah. I wonder if because she's got some fullness in her back here. I wonder if a combination of letting these darts out or these princess seams out right at the very top and raising the arm side in the back would help a little bit. Here's somebody else. No, that's the same person. No, it's not. This is the same person. Okay. Again, little bit long on her, which we already knew. This is the same fabric on a different body, but she's still got a waist. So you can see what that's like on the skinnier, smaller woman or on her size, the arm side on her. Yeah. Can you see in the back how it's just really kind of long? I want to bring this all the way up. But I mean, kind of looks good on everybody, though. Again, I'm being super nitpicky here. Oh, it is fully lined. Look at this. That's cute. Oh, and you can see how it's constructed. Those look funny untied, but yeah, that's how you do it. It's not that hard, I guess. I don't know why I thought that would be more more than that. Okay, cute. We got the picture, right? How much is this? This is Oh, $17. $17. Gosh, do they ever go on sale? I wonder. I mean, it's I like it. I really like it, but it's only like it's not that many options, especially even for hacking. I mean, I guess you could lengthen it, but even that I'm not sure would look right. Um, you could possibly leave I'm trying to think of ways that you can make this. Oh, we've got a ton more pictures. I didn't even realize um ways that you can make this into other garments cuz it's kind of a very specific look. You really don't want to be making too many of the same version or else people will be like, "This is the only shirt she knows." But I wonder if you didn't do the bows. You don't have to do the bows. It can just be this one tie down here and none of these other ones. Then you could lengthen it maybe into like a a wrap dress is essentially what it would be. Um gosh. But other than that, I don't know. I don't see too many options. And that's where the pricing gets me. If you want like that other pattern that was like $30, but you got four different garments that you can hack infinitely, that to me has more value than one that's a little bit cheaper, but you really only you only have you're so limited because of the design. But it's also a unique design, so that makes it more interesting. Do you see? Do you see? This is why it's so tough. It's possible to sew on a budget, but I think we need to give ourselves a little bit of leeway for things that are special, I guess, will be my final verdict on that. Okay, next we have the Merchant and Mills Cirrus top. Float around with this light, airy batwing top. It's loose and comfortable with an optional drawstring, waist, and rib cuff. How much? Okay. Okay. Okay. Perfect example to to piggyback on the idea of value in sewing patterns. This is there's probably a,01 tutorials for how to make this online. They're probably free. $26 for this. This what is that? An octagon, you know, with a drawstring bottom and a simple round neckline. No, that's that's a pass. That's a pass. That's just No, it's not happening. [laughter] It's not happening. I don't care how great your instructions are. I don't care like how like renowned your brand is. I don't know where they're getting $26 for this. That's insane. That's No, I'm not advocating any of you. We're not even going to look at any more of it cuz it's angering me so much. We're going to move on. All right. Another Etsy pattern. We've got the Kala shirt by LS Stitch Store. So, this is the same person that did those free pajama pants that just came in like the dry form. These here, the lounger pants. This is the same person. 1370 for this little buttonfront top. Um, oversized casual button-up shirt. Features a collar and collar stand, short sleeves, back yolk, and a panel of gathering on the back of the shirt. And then these are your fabric requirements. Oh, okay. I see. Yeah, that's a cute take on a um on a button down. I do want to see Can we see? Yeah, this are these. Is that a seam? There it is. Okay. So, it's interesting because it's got a lot of volume as you can see here, but the sleeves still sit on the shoulder. So, it really is kind of well fitted through the shoulder and then it gets bigger throughout the rest of it. So, that's a nice design detail. Lots of funky fabrics out in the world, am I right? Oh, the eyelid, of course. Cute. Okay. And I don't think we saw her size chart from before. Yes, we did. Yes, we did. It was like in the middle. So, the bus for this one would be 31ish to 54ish. So cute. Yeah, I bet it would. It's going to be more of an intermediate pattern, but I think I like the shape of it a lot. I'm surprised to see this is the front and then this is the back. That's cute. That's cute. Okay, so now we have the open studio top. $16. Sleeveless, collarless, clean front button closure, front well pocket, back yolk, center back plate, simple and silhouette considered in its details, elevated finishing options throughout, including French seams, bias bound arm holes, welt pocket tutorial with two methods. Yeah, this is um designed as a companion to the willow skirt. Let's take a look at that. Oh, she's actually wearing it together. Okay, I bet that's what she has in these pictures. That's what that is. Okay, good. Um, X 2XS to 5X. This is her size chart or their size chart. Bust measurements in inches are going to be 31 to 65. And then the hip measurement, if you're curious, is 35 to 69. Doesn't get much more inclusive than that. That is that is about as inclusive as I've seen. So, here's the back yolk. Here's the pleat giving you like volume this way. Yeah. Can you see how like open it is on the bottom? That's really adorable. And it's hitting exactly where it should if it's meant to be paired with this skirt. The shoulders have a little bit like cut in a little bit. The arm side depth. I'm gonna check closer here in a second. But this little um is it jewel neckline? Look, who came to see us? She hardly ever makes an appearance. Okay, this is what I if it were me, this is what I would be concerned with would be this gaping and then this being just like maybe half an inch too low. But the buzz dart ends here. That feels right. It's hard to tell, but yeah, this arms eye opening, again, not the end of the world, but if we're getting picky, this is what I would be looking at. This feels more like an armhole that was designed to have a sleeve attached to it. So now when you're doing sleeveless, it doesn't lay flat um like it should. Is that Oprah? It's like Oprah. Is that you? Oh, here's a good shot of the dart. So, it's coming from the arms eye. That's very interesting. Okay, cool. And then there it is from the back. Cute. Yeah, again, we've got arms eye issues here. Let me see. Oh, boy. Oh, boy. Sorry. Um, you can see a little bit of gaping here. You can just see the shadow even. And then it feels really low down here. So, yeah, we just want to be checking the armsai on this one. Cool. All right. Next we have Oh, that's the Willow skirt. The last of the daughter Judy patterns is this Von top. Um Von top is minimal construction yet shape defining from the waist tucks that release like paper folding. Huh. Once on the body, creating structure without stiffness. release like paper folding not following quietly sensual showing just enough skin to feel deliberate yet secure. [laughter] Okay, these are funny. Um, okay. Here is the prices on her. It does look like we get a really deep V and it only has buttons through here. This is all open which you can see here. This is a grown on sleeve. I need to see a line drawing. Oh, thank you. Oh, see it all clicks in place with a line drawing. So basically, you have a boring old dolman sleeve or grown-on sleeve top and then you put in these pleats that open at the top and the bottom. Six of them going across and that's what gives your shape. There's not actually a horizontal seam anywhere on this pattern. But doesn't it look like there would be one right here? That's This is fun. This is really cool. How much is this one? Oh, 14 to 20 depending on how much you want to support them. Fabric recommendation. Fabric usage and measurements. It cannot be that much fabric. [snorts] Fabric requirements. Yeah. 1 and 3/4 for for both 45 and 58 inch fabric. H, that's cool. That's an interesting design that I can get behind. I can also see it being made in like a gajillion different fabrics. So, that's why that's happening. Um, and then there's a little review. Okay, that's I like that one. Um, next we have the Style Arc Lumi knit dress and top. So, we haven't seen that many knit garments. I mean, Love Notions had that top, but other than that, I don't think we've seen any. Um, so here is maybe our only knit garment from the whole month of June. Um, it is one of those things. We've seen this before. This little side tie thing was super super popular a few years ago. Style Mark, Style Mart, uh, Style Arc has a million different patterns in their catalog. So, I get how like maybe we're just like running out of ideas or something. I don't know. But, you know, we've definitely seen this kind of design. Nothing nothing new here, right? Can we make this even bigger? Yes. Oh, too big. But yeah, we remember that everyone was doing it here. We were doing it here. We were doing putting those things everywhere. Um, it is a really unique detail. I just don't think it's maybe it is not unique. Maybe the word is it's a fun detail but not that unique anymore or something something like that. So yeah, I guess I could say I really like the asymmetry of this one, but again we saw that before too. You do get a lot of options. So if you don't have one like this, this one's as good as any where you get the top and all the different sleeve options and everything. So um but it is they do get pricey. So 23 Australian other currencies. So yeah, 15.86 US. That's a lot. Um for a pattern that feels like it's already like a little bit not pass say, but like I've sewn that before. You know what I mean? Okay. Sinclair patterns. This is their they had one earlier. This is their Emma woven blouse with princess seams. Cute. Semi fitted at the shoulders and bust. Reflect relaxed at the waist and hips. Woven blouse features a modest V- neckline. Front princess seams running from the shoulder over the bust to the hem. I love that. Um the same five cup sizes they had before. Center front has stitched down placket with five shirt buttons. V-neck and placket are finished with combined front facing. Back features two waistline darts. Separate back neck neckline basing. All facings are interfaced. Oh my gosh. Neck neckline can be left plain or finished with a narrow ruffle. Um set in sleeves come in short, shorter, 3/4 and long lengths. Okay. Yes. Lots of different details in there. Don't lick my forehead. Um okay. Picture-wise, I do love I do love a pattern that has the princess seams starting at the shoulder. A lot of times you'll see them come from the armsai, which is nice, too. But the shoulder one is a little bit easier to sew because that curve is less dramatic. Will you get out of the way now? My gosh. Um, but yeah, you have this like sleeved option. You have this one with the cuff. You have this little ruffle detail. Lots of different options included in this one. Now, this is borderline giving me scrubs. Are y'all seeing like nurses scrubs? Maybe it's the fabric pattern. Well, that's adorable. That looks like um Reese Witherspoon's clothing line. God, I did that whole series last year and now I can't remember it. Oh boy, I can't remember the name of it. It looks like something you would get at like Ann Taylor Loft. Very ready to wear. Draper James. Draper James is what that looks like. Yeah. And you do get the back darts as well, which I love as a pair myself. If you are hourglass, you would really love that. It's going to really make you have a lot of shape, which is beautiful. Oh, you get this little notched option. Yeah, there really kind of are a lot of different options. I wish that this picture reflected what we were seeing here. Not that I can't figure it out, but like why do we have this everywhere if it's not changing with the design that she's wearing?
