Video summary

The speaker recounts a significant financial experience at Charlotte Collect-A-Con where they accidentally spent over $7,500, resulting in a net loss of approximately $5,183 after accounting for travel, lodging, and table expenses. Although the original intention was to purchase inventory for resale to cover costs, the decision to buy too many personal collectibles due to having cash on hand led to this outcome. Major purchases included nine *Legacy of Darkness* packs, four vintage *Pharaonic Guardian* blisters, a full *HeartGold* Pokémon double box complete with a Pokéwalker for $525, and two signed first-edition cards by Greg Abbey totaling $1,525. The spending spree also extended to acquiring $2,000 worth of bulk low-end cards containing various errors and misprints, as well as sports memorabilia such as LeBron James slabs. Specific Pokémon cards like a Larvitar and Chansey were bought to commemorate gameplay attempts, while the speaker expressed genuine excitement upon seeing the Blue-Eyes White Dragon card, screaming in delight at the acquisition. Despite acknowledging the financial hit, the speaker found satisfaction in adding cool cards to their collection for both personal enjoyment and future sales, noting that selling the bulk inventory will eventually help recoup some of the initial costs. The video concludes with the opening of one *Legacy of Darkness* pack, providing a glimpse into the excitement of unboxing new inventory. The speaker also takes time to thank various supporters, including King Tamaya, Junior Bonnie, Archlord Chris, first edition, Shang-a-lang, Crypto Poppy, and Mike, for their contributions as ultimate members. Looking ahead, the speaker announces upcoming Whatnot streams that will feature giveaways, promising to see viewers again next time before signing off with a friendly "Peace."

Guys, I messed up big time. I accidentally spent over $7,000 at Collect-A-Con. What is up, everyone? We are back with another Collect-A-Con recap, which if you've not seen already, I think the vlog is already out. There's a lot of Collect-A-Con content coming. I recorded three videos while I was there, and we have this video recapping what I bought, which was a lot, like too much. And the problem was I didn't buy enough to actually sell, cuz you know, when you're there, you want to buy stuff that you can like resell and make a little bit of money on it, cover your trip, you know, cover your costs. I didn't do that. So, if you guys don't know, going to Collect-A-Con does have a lot of costs to it. You've got to travel there, whether it's by flying, whether it's by driving, which in this case we drove about 7 hours to get there. So, there, you know, gas is pretty expensive these days. And then you have to have lodging, you have to have the tables, which if you don't know, they resell for like $700. Yes, they're reselling tables. Scalping tables is a real thing. Now, back in 2021, I went to Charlotte Collect-A-Con. We just logged on, we registered, we got a whole square for ourselves. And if you guys were to go back and watch that video, it's just a bunch of me and my friends. Well, now you can't do that anymore. You have to like have a multi-year contract or buy a resell table. Luckily, I know PCG, they're able to hook me up for way less than it costs to for these tables that are resold for like $700 plus dollars per [music] table. That's not per square, that's per table. That's one little table. So, you got to factor that in, you got to factor in all those extra costs, and then you got to factor in all my spending. So, we'll get more into that in just a second, but first we're going to give away this Master Hero Fountain Field Center Card. Like the video, be subscribed, turn on notifications. Let me know down below your favorite thing I bought. There is a wide variety here, so I think you guys are going to enjoy a lot of the things. And I'm going to let you guys know at the end just how much money I am down after this trip. Magnificent Monsters is here, and we finally have Grand Master Cards in English. So, yeah, uh there's a lot of costs up front and just the general cost of like getting there and then I I threw in certain thing I'm not going to show the plushies Chelsea bought, but that did cost $125. There's a story about that we'll get into later, but the cases, the table, the hotel, the gas cost me nearly $1,000. Oh, no problem. We'll sell that much, right? It's all good. We'll make We'll make plenty of money. Let's start off with some sealed product that you're actually going to see in another Collect-A-Con video, but I am going to show off that we bought them. There are nine Legacy of Darkness packs. These are unlimited. So, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine. And because you guys know I have problems, we are going to open one of these packs in this video. So, keep So, stay around. We're going to open one. It's going to be fun. These were available at 15 a piece, which I was like, okay, vintage unlimited. it is loose." So, it's like 99% probably nothing, but not a bad price for an old school pack and the experience. And because I bought all of them, I basically got one pack free. I asked for $15 off, which is how much the packs cost, and they accepted it at $120 for the nine packs. So, we are going to open one of those later. Pretty cool pickup, right? Then I had another guy come up, and he had some vintage packs as well, and you guys know I can't resist them. First Edition Pharaohnic Guardian. These were actually at a pretty good price. Like I ended up paying He wanted He start He said he was selling them at one like 110 or something like that. I think I ended up getting them for 90 a piece. So, about $20 off per blister cuz I bought all four of them. Uh which was a pretty nice price. So, I figured I'd pick these up. They're actually in really good shape. So, I think we got them at a pretty good deal. Some of the stuff on here will be on rooksandrd34.com, but as I alluded to in the uh intro, a lot of this I bought for personal. Which is not what you're supposed to do when you're vending. You're supposed to buy stuff to sell, right? You're supposed to buy I have a problem. I just like stuff, you know? >> [laughter] >> And I got a little carried away. I brought cash to the thing. When you bring cash, you're like, "Oh, I got cash." Like it's like free money, right? And then you spend it all, and you're like, wait, I was that was like yeah, not supposed to use all that. So, I got four of these. I think these will probably go on my website. Uh probably, you know, I don't know what they're going to be at, but you know, a little bit over 100, 120, 125, somewhere in there. I think these are in pretty good condition. There's one This one might get like a discount cuz this one's got a bend. So, that one might be more toward like a hundred. So, I don't know exactly numbers yet, but hopefully these will help me a little bit with my $1,000 cost and all my purchases, but we'll see. Then we have a couple more purchases that I made. Uh these are in a later video. You will see me pick these up during a uh vending video. If you guys like the Ask Amelie Vendor if they sell Yu-Gi-Oh, I did that again at Collect-A-Con. And by the way, there's a lot more like card vendors at Collect-A-Con than there are at Gen Con. So, it took forever. Took a really long time. So, it might be a long video. Uh then it'll be cut up, obviously. But, I asked probably 100 vendors. It was insane. And uh luckily, as you can tell, spoiler alert, there wasn't zero vendors with Yu-Gi-Oh. We got some cool cards here. We got a DD Warrior Lady and a Black Chaos. And uh there might be more, but I don't want to uh spoil anything else about that video. So, keep an eye out. That'll be coming out soon. Then we get into stuff that I absolutely did not need. Uh we get into a LeBron James uh 2003 Jim Mint 10. And I have no idea what's going on with this slab. But, like it is like a raised. I've never seen a PSA slab like this. And it is somewhat It seems like it was graded recent like recently, like this year. So, I don't know what's going on with this slab. I don't know if the card's like thicker or something. But, it's definitely really weird. But, it has a LeBron James, you know, I had to get the goat. And uh the guy was was like, "Oh, you like the goat? How about this one, too?" And then he give me a I he got me a select 10 out of 25 blue disco LeBron. I had to grab them because, you know, that he's about to be, you know, retired soon. My goat is is ending his career in the next couple years. But, had to grab those. I have one LeBron already. So, now I have three. I'm not going to buy the original rookie card. I just can't do it. It's too expensive. So, I'm going to have to just get this kind of stuff instead. There wasn't that much sports. And I wasn't even looking for sports. And I ended up buying that. That's the problem with having cash. You know, you're like, "I can just buy it. Let's go. I got cash right here." And uh shouldn't have bought those, probably. But, they it will be cool in the collection. I think the cost was like 215 and 250 or something. I didn't even research this price. I just bought it. That's That is a bad idea. Do not do that. Do not be me. Look up the price of a card before you buy it, especially if it's $250. Then this one I was like, "Oh, if I'm going to spend more, I better look this up." So, I looked this up, and we ended up on two 215. It was kind of hard to comp that thing. Then we had one of my favorite products come up to the booth, the Kaiba Collector Box. Someone walked up like, "Hey, anybody want this?" And I was like, "Yeah." And And he's like, "60 bucks." And I was like, "I got you. Sounds good." I think they go for about 80. So, he offered it for 60. I'm like, "I don't even need to negotiate." It's like, that's 20 bucks off an $80 box. That works perfectly. And uh I This will not be for sale. This will be one that In about 6 months, we'll open this up and we'll recap how this brought me back into Yu-Gi-Oh! and so nostalgic for me. So, I've got this thing waiting in the wings just waiting for the video. It's going to be super fun. There's a Chaos Emperor Dragon and a Pot of Greed ulti and probably Ring of Destruction here as well. Just throwing that out there. Maybe Cyber Dragon cuz there's an error in one of the packs. Don't worry, there's still a lot more to come. Uh next we have another purchase that has nothing to do with buying, selling. Oh, it has to do with buying. I bought it, but uh I will not be selling this. This will be going straight into the collection. A full, complete inbox HeartGold version. And this is, if you don't know anything about Pokémon or the HeartGold version game, this is a double box. So, this has this outside box right here, which has like texture on it. It's like an ultimate rare or something. It's really cool. And it has all this cool little like art on it. It's got Suicune over there, you know, Ho-Oh over there, Chikorita, Totodile, Cyndaquil, the main characters there. I think they're called like What is it? What do Don't they have names in the newer ones? That they I don't know. I don't know their names. But uh then there's a Pokéwalker, which is the goat. You know, I've got mine on me right here. This is my SoulSilver one. Now I've got the one from HeartGold, so I can rock both. And that means the last route is not going to take 2 million steps, only going to take 1 million steps cuz I'll have two different Pokéwalkers running. Crazy. So, I haven't actually pulled this one out yet because I wanted to wait for the video, but uh this was quite expensive, actually. Quite expensive. I did check the price. I think I got like around market, maybe a little bit under. >> [music] >> Uh but it comes in this box. It has a little bit more about the Pokéwalker in there. And this has a smaller box, which is the one you usually see when people have this game in a box. They have this normal DS box. They don't have like the extra inserts. So, we'll show this off. This has the insert with the Pokéwalker number two, which I'm going to be pulling out of here because I'm going to be using it. Got to rock the Working on Soul Silver right now. Whoa. It has this in it? Has it ever been used? This might be a brand new Pokéwalker. Or they just kept it. Either way, that's insane. Okay, W. Then there is the clip, which is what you use to clip it on your shorts, which I will be using cuz I have to rock two of them at once, which is incredible. So, that is awesome as well. Then we have the more like Pokéwalker you know, manual, which if you don't know, one of the the best pedometers of its time. HeartGold version, same exact back it looks like. And then inside is the game, which apparently is a little bit grimy, I think. It doesn't look too good, but you get the manual. You know, we might be able to That kind of just popped out of there. Oh, there we go. Okay. So, that one could use definitely use some cleaning up a little bit, but I will probably end up playing this at some point because I'm I'm working on my Soul Silver, but with Soul Silver you need HeartGold. I do have HeartGold, but I haven't really been playing that one. So, I might use this one because of the one I just picked up. And then you trade in all the extra Pokémon and you know, you have to start another game to get starters, etc. I want to complete the Pokédex at some point. So, very cool. I think this was $525. So, avert your ears. That That one hurts, but it was 550 lowest listed and then the sales were kind of all over the place like 600 something. So, I'm guessing condition mattered, etc. but overall, you know, with that Pokéwalker actually being really good shape, I think we did okay. Then we have one of my favorite purchases of the entire probably my favorite purchase, which is hard to say. I mean, hard to beat that Pokéwalker, but yeah, I think I did. I picked up two cards from TCG Misprints on Instagram. He had a Trap Dustshoot that I've been looking for for goat format. I need three of these for my Warrior deck. So, if each CP is going to be brutal, but this is the first of three. I picked this up about $425. I think it's like max price, like full value on this thing. He was like, "I don't want to sell it, but if you get me full value, I'll sell it." And I was like, "Okay, you drive a hard bargain." And I just bought it for full price. So, I did that. Then he also had another card in his binder, a card that I didn't even know that I needed until I saw it. I realized I needed it. A signed first edition Stardust Dragon by Greg Abbey. And if you guys remember, I do have a signed Greg Abbey Yusei Stardust Dragon, but it's unlimited in my Edison format deck. And I also have this right here, a Black Rose Dragon first ed that I got signed at Collect-A-Con. So, I had to pick this up. I bought this to go with this in my Edison extra deck, and I am so hyped about it. Absolutely hyped. I think Greg Abbey should take like a note from Akiza. If he was signing in like a green or something for Yusei or Abbey or something like that, I don't know. It'd be really cool. So, Greg, maybe you try maybe try out the the green at some point. That could be pretty cool. But I mean, it still looks absolutely amazing. So, I have both of these. This thing was $1,100 cuz it's a first edition. And yeah, as I mentioned, as you notice, a lot of these are things that I am keeping. Like this. This was $1,525 for this and this. Yeah, it's pretty brutal. This is not near mint though. It is super clean. The The corners are all pretty beat up, but that's perfect for a playable copy. So, like it's like around mod play, maybe a little like nicer if you consider like the fact that the front's really good, but the the corners are pretty bad. But doesn't matter because we're playing it in an X. So, absolutely hyped about that. Those are going to be in my Edison deck for good, those two signed cards. I love them. Now we get into the last purchase, and it may seem like the video's almost over, but this purchase was a lot of cards. A guy came up. He was a viewer of the channel. He's like, "Hey, I got a bunch of Basically, he said bulk." And I spent $2,000 on bulk. Yes, $2,000. I think he wanted It was like 20 He said he added up a binder that was like 2,800. He wanted 1,800 or something. And then he pulled out the real bulk cuz like $1 cards. And he said he wanted 2,200 or something like that. I said I'd do 2,000, which I instantly regretted. Not that the cards aren't good. It's just going to be a lot. So, let's go through it. He accepted it, by the way. So, uh yeah, obviously, it's a ton of like little tiny stuff. Like $1, $2, you know, there's a few cards in here that's like, "Oh, that's a nice like $8 card or something, you know." Uh there's a few in there that are like, "Okay, that's pretty cool." You know, there's a Turbo Cannon from Ancient Prophecy. It's not a lot of insane stuff. Battle Pack Breaker. I mean, it is a lot of fun cards, I will say. But the sheer number is scaring me. The fact that I spent four digits to more than four digits. I mean, it was four digits, but we were way past just a thousand on little tiny cards that are going to like I don't have time to do anything, much less go through little tiny cards. But now I'm going to have to be doing that. So, cuz I bought these. I don't know why I did, but I did. Oh, that Wait a second. I didn't even look at all these. Like I I barely glanced at them. He's like, "Yeah, these are $1 cards." That might be glossy, so we might have a banger here. We might have a banger find here. Yeah, that's an unlimited glossy Trap Hole. It's destroyed still. But that is definitely more than $5, so that's good. Uh I don't think it's going to be too crazy in that condition. And it's a Trap Hole, it's not a Blue-Eyes, but hey. I guess I feel slightly better about my $2,000 I spent. >> [laughter] >> We have Red-Eyes. Uh the good thing is there's just a sheer number of cards, like a massive number of cards. [music] So, in the end, if I take the time and go through all of them and, you know, put them up on my my uh website, probably more like Whatnot. These are like cheaper Whatnot cards, then eventually we can get our $2,000 back, but there'll probably be some pretty cool cards in here that I might just snipe. Like if they're goat format. There are some goat things in here I think that I probably want to grab. Obviously the Breaker we saw earlier. There's a few more Oh, there's Oh, I forgot about all that. This is not the last purchase. I forgot about all this, too. I take it back. There's a lot more. All right, I guess I will I will get to that in a second, but we have a ton of those. And these Collector's are pretty cool. They're not like big value or anything, but it is cool to have those. That is cool. Red-Eyes Zombie Dragon. I like literally like bumped through a couple of these like, "Okay, that looks fine." You know, and then I definitely should have looked a little harder because you know, a lot of Chibi's, cool stuff, but you know, when you spend that much, you should probably like pay attention. This is a lot of lessons for me, guys. Don't do what I did in this. I was just I was just having a good time at Collect-A-Con. I was like feeling the vibes, you know, hanging out and I just like, "I'll take it. I'll take it." I was just buying a lot of stuff I didn't need. Okay, let's see what else we got. The Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon, Black Rose Alt Art from Maximum Gold, everyone's least favorite set. Silent Swords Slashes pretty cool. Uh Super Rares we got Dark Hole Secret Rare, Smashing Ground, Little Edison Action. Oh, Little Winged Dragon of Ra Sphere Mode. Well, like I feel like with there could be like an awesome duel video out of these cards. Like just put them together and duel. That would be really cool if I had a space to do something like that, wouldn't it? Huh. All right, next we have I was going to say something else, too, about Collect-A-Con. I can't remember. I mean, shout out to all you guys who came by. There is still a couple more videos, but the vlog will show a lot of Oh, there's a Zombie Ra. This actually I don't know if this is considered high rarity. I probably wouldn't just cuz it's not the prettiest rarity. I'd probably just consider the common high rarity, but I do need a Zombie Ra for my Warrior deck. So, like very close. Uh cool stuff. I haven't even gotten to the binder yet. There is a binder, too, that we're going to rifle through because you guys know how it is with binders. It's very hard to show them off, but I want to show this stuff quickly at least. So, if I miss anything that's like cool or something, let me know. It's like, "Oh, that was a $6 card." I do want to know that. Hey, that's a new card, Star Eyz Evil. It's pretty I say new, I don't even think it's good anymore, but Dark Paladins are in there. Stardust Charge Warrior Very cool. This guy also had a spreadsheet for the binder and I forgot to have him send it to me. I'm so mad. I was like, he had all the prices and I didn't even I asked him to send it to me. So, if you see this video, do me a favor and hit me up with that spreadsheet. That'd be insane. Uh that that's not on these little that's on the it's on the binders. So, the binder was where most of the value came from. So, I didn't pay, you know, a ton of for these. I think it was like he wanted like what was it? 400 bucks or something for these. They're like around $1 per card or something like that. Uh we we kind of estimated the amount of cards in there because uh he's like, "Are we going to count all these?" And he's like, "Nah." He like measured them with the top loaders. I was like, "You know, that seems scientific to me. That'll work." So, it kind of it kind of did work out. I was like, "All right, that's fine." Malicious was also nice in there. There is an entire like massive sec If I had just found an error right there, I would have gone crazy. That would have been so sick. I need that error still. And TCG misprints had all the cards I needed, but he would only sell me the two cards I showed you. He's like, "Yeah, that's it." Order of Chaos has an ult Oh, that's Tour Bus. Okay, I thought that was I was like, "What? I've never seen this." Phoenix Gear Freed we have Animas. The best ulti of all time over there. There's a Deusa. Sinister Serpent, Graceful Reriyoku. Is there an Abyss Soldier in here cuz I know Kyle was really looking for one right now. Uh what is that? Starlight some lower end Starlight's Logia. This is going to be a longish video because there is a lot to cover. I did, you know, I did buy a lot of stuff as you guys can tell. Honestly, like there is some really good stuff in here, you know. I think we actually did okay buying this. It is just going to be a little bit of a grind, but I mean, that's what that's what we do is we grind, right? That's what we do. So, shout out to that guy for working with me. Uh to be honest, I don't blame him though. It's like you you don't have to do all the work, you get paid out. I mean, that that is something that people underestimate like when selling collections. They're just like, I just offloaded it, I get a full 100% payout, you know? Maybe not 100% value, I guess, but but you don't have to ship it, you don't have to pack it, you don't have to do any of that. You don't have to worry about people returning your stuff, which happens, or like saying you they they was damaged or lightly played, not near mint, or whatever, you know, all that annoying crap that happens when you ship cards. Like, you just don't completely avoid that when you just you especially low-end cards, too. It's like, they take up so much more work, you know, because they're super cheap, and they buy like somebody buys like one, and you're like, okay, I got to, you know, ship one 18-cent card, you know, it's kind of weird. Okay, Exodia. Exodia the Forbidden One. Odin, Thor. I mean, there are some cool stuff in here. Fluffal, we have a Magnum Hut, that's got to be decent, right? Miracle Fusion is like $1, but it's such a nice-looking print. There's so many like with Yu-Gi-Oh! so weird because we do so many reprints, there can be like clean-looking cards. You're like, that's got to be expensive, and it's like 13 cents. You're like, that's such a sick card though. So, it is kind of a good way good thing. You can collect some really cool-looking cards, and you don't have to spend a lot of money on those. Not like in Pokémon, which when I was looking around at like, oh, that's a cool Larvitar. Oh, it's $70. Why? Why is it so expensive? It's like, oh, that common right there is 50 bucks. That's because it's from, you know, Skyridge or whatever. I'm like, oh, that's terrible. I don't want to spend all that. I really want the card, but not that bad. Wait, I thought that was full art. Okay, this is the regular one. Okay, Trap Dust Shoot. These are sticking together. No Abyss Soldier so far, which is pretty sad. Pèdra, Diabellstar Vengeance. I mean, that's pretty cool from that's the original set, I think. And we got Jagged Jaggernaut. I don't know what that guy's name is, but cool. I remember Ryan telling me he's going to be the next thing, so I still have a Starlight. Baldrake, we have the Junk Armor. We have Sidewinder. Oh yeah, here was actually really cool. These are the coolest items that I noticed when when like flipping through real quick. LOB Flame Swordsman's also cool. But, there are two errors in here and I was like, "These like I don't know why these are in the $1 to $5 box." I was like, "That's cool. That's going to add at least a little bit there." Secret rare misprints. It's literally missing the top of the T and the R. Rocket Tracer, that's how it shifted it is. Then you get Lordly Load, which I've had an error Lordly Load before as well, but this one's way cooler. The other one was crimped. This one literally has Lordly Load at the top. By the way, that will be going in the modern deck, which I'm using in a Charizard deck box. Yeah, I know. Pre- pretty epic, to be honest. But, I do play Lordly Load because I am playing Prime I Blue-Eyes and I bring this around just in case anybody wants to duel. I learned my lesson at the LA event in RG where I didn't have a deck and I was like, "From now on, I will have a modern deck everywhere I go." Is this in a Okay. See this? This Lordly Load? It's getting replaced. It's being upgraded. Prime I Lordly Load shifted [snorts] name. Check out that bling. This is the lowest rarity deck I have. I just have random things. That's my flex. Check that out. That's so cool. It's hard to fully commit to modern my rarity because, you know, everything changes so much, but that's going to have to go in there. That is going to have to go in there. So, all three decks got an upgrade. We got the Trap Dustshoot for Goat. We got the ghost rare Stardust for Edison. And we got the Lordly Load for the modern. So, this one I don't play Rocket, so this one will probably be on Whatnot at some point. Pretty cool. Pretty cool error card. All right, we'll do the binder last because it's going to be the hardest to do, but then we picked up two Pokémon as I mentioned Larvitar. This was like six $6 to $7. Yeah, I know. Okay. And then I got a Chansey. This I We ended up paying 10 bucks, I think. I say we cuz myself and Lewis bought like a bundle to try to get a discount. This place had way too high of prices. Like, their TCG low was like half of all their prices, but we bought a bunch, so we I ended up paying a little bit more than TCGplayer. Uh, which I don't know why we did that cuz there's many million options, but I bought this. You're going to see why in the vlog. I am hunting for a Chansey with lucky egg in the Safari Zone in Fire Red. And if you don't know, there is a 4% chance to encounter this, then there is an 8.75% chance to catch this, then there's a 5% chance that it's holding lucky egg. So, we're talking very, very, very, very, very, very rare. I've encountered over 100 of them and caught like 13 or something. They're extremely hard to catch. So, I've been doing that for a few weeks, and I was doing it at Collect-A-Con, so I had to buy this kind of to commemorate that. And it was super fun because Lewis Vintage Yugioh just took the Game Boy and started playing. He's like, "I got this. I got this." So, he was like helping me hunt, which was fun. So, I love Larvitar Gen 2, and then this was to commemorate the moment, which was super fun. Then we got a few things that walked up. We had a guy with a Diamond Dude. He told me this was in great condition. I think I looked at it. I can't remember. It's supposed supposed to be like pretty good overall, I think. Let's see. Destiny Hero Diamond Dude, ultimate rare first edition. It was out of his collection originally as a kid or something like that. And honestly, it does look good. I think the corners have like a little whitening. It's always hard to tell in the show halls cuz the lighting is super weird, but it's pretty decent overall. It's a nice first edition Diamond Dude. Then there is a Cosmo Queen. I'm getting mixed up, but I think that was the same guy as the Diamond Dude. This one is very beat up, but very cool. I can't remember what I bought this for. I think this was like valued at like 75. I might have paid 60 on this, something like that. And then this one was like 10, so I paid like $8 or something like that. I can't remember the exact numbers. Then there was another guy who had two cards including an Italian Ghost Rare Rainbow Dragon, which was in pretty good shape. I think he had it like lightly played. The corners are pretty rough, but outside that it looks decent. I mean, it's it might be a little worse than that. Depends on how how harsh you are. I think it's pretty close to lightly played. The foil on this is definitely like different for the Italian one. It's pretty cool. And then he had he kind of had it valued at a pretty good price. I think we ended up it was like maybe 150 or something I bought it at cuz like lightly played English is like 210. And you know, English is obviously going to be more popular. This is probably rarer, but like not as many people care. So it's like a weird niche. I had to pick it up cuz I didn't I don't think I've had ever had an Italian Ghost Rare Rainbow. So I grabbed it. I figured it'd be kind of cool to put in the binder. I don't know if I'm even going to sell that. Then this was uh this was in the binder that we're about to cover, but I pulled it out cuz I put it in my case. Uh QCR Dark Armed Dragon, very cool. Same thing here. This was a Pot of Sloth that was in the uh the binder. So cool. Uh another cool guy came up. He had some cards for sale that he we traded actually. I think he traded for He traded for something. Now I can't remember what it was. So we got a Dark Magician that is see a little messed up there. Uh I got another Dark Magician, a Blue-Eyes, a QCR Dark not QCR. This is yeah, this is QCR. Blue-Eyes 20th anniversary and a sealed Exodia. There also was another thing that I put in the binder that I'll show you guys in a minute, but that was cool. Then another guy came up and was gifted a Super Poly Full Art Starlight. Gifted. Someone gave it to him. And he found out the price and was like, "Yeah, I'll sell it." Now it wasn't like a friend gift. It was like a guy just he like mentioned that's a cool card. I think I was like, "Nice. Here you go." and just gave it to him. And then he sold it. So I I It's kind of weird. It's like he sold the gift, but he It's not like he knew the guy or anything. So I think the guy apparently according to his friend needed money or something. And it was just like perfect timing to like sell it or whatever. So I was like, "Okay, whatever. I don't know about all these stories, but I will buy it." So I ended up paying 190 on this, I think. What, 200? Something like that. I can't remember because it was the last sale was like 230. There was a listing at 250. It was kind of hard to figure out what the exact number was, but I got a little bit of discount on that, which was cool. The Rainbow Dragon guy also had this Destiny Hero Dogma ultimate rare that was near mint supposedly. I didn't even pull it out, but I looked at the back and the corners, and they looked good. That's usually, you know, what will cook you pretty hard. They're like a scratch, but honestly looks pretty nice. Uh and these were in another purchase, and now I can't remember cuz this was early on Saturday. The guy sold me two Dark Magicians and a couple other things. This one's reverse, this one's not. BPT. So, the reverse is obviously worth a little bit more. I can't even remember that transaction very well. I'll have to go back to the videos. And then some more stuff from the binder that I pulled out that we're about to show. We got the Black Chaos, we got the Blue-Eyes, we got some full arts. We had a Dominus Impetus ultimate rare. And then a kid uh of a fan who I've actually seen them before, and the kid's growing up like double the size last time I saw him. He had some Pokémon cards that honestly I was not even interested in. I've not These aren't Johto Pokémon. Uh Psyduck's the only thing I'm like maybe I'll keep cuz it's Gen 1. Now, I'm not going to lie, these aren't I mean, the mouse holds pretty cute, but they're kind of expensive, but the kid wanted to sell them. And then he picked a random number. I like told him what they were worth. It was like 200 something, and he was like He took like 10% off. Like he's like seven. I was like, "How did he do that?" He like He took like 10 or 15% off. Like he was like, "How about that much?" And I was like, "Dude, are you like a mathematician? Like that Yeah, sure. Let's do that." >> [laughter] >> So, I ended up buying it. So, it was wild. I thought he was going to Well, first he said half. He He said like No, he said Yeah, he said like 40% the first time. I was like, "Maybe you should do a little bit more than that." And then he picked another number. I was like It was like way more, and I was like, "Okay, that That'll work." [laughter] So, that was kind of funny. I was like, um yeah, just pretend like you didn't say the first thing, you know. Let's get a lot closer to that, you know. And I was like, "All right, sounds good." And his dad was like, "Yeah, that's a great number. How do you think of that?" It was really funny. Okay, so the last item I probably forgot something cuz as you could tell I was spending money like crazy for no reason. I'll let you guys know in a second how much money I I'm down after this trip. Uh here we go. Let me try to I'm just going to pull this out. We're going to do our best to to do the binder binder view. All right, here is the front page and this top left card is not from this binder. It was the one I mentioned earlier. I was traded a Winged Dragon of Ra. Yeah. Yep. And the guy told me he pulled it in May of 2025. I said that was about a year before I pulled it. >> [laughter] >> So yeah, I had to pick that up obviously. Then the lighting is kind of weird here. I'm doing my best, but we're not going to pull every card out here. There are some ultis in here. Tune Bookmark someone walked up with. That was a random one that I forgot that I bought. And with the tunes coming out I figured it was a good buy. There's another Tune Bookmark there, but this is a collector rare so it's a little better. Then with the empty spots are stuff I took out, but here's some other stuff. There's some some ultis, some platinum rares, you know, some different things from recent sets, older sets. It's a good variety here. There's there's some nice stuff. That's why this was valued a lot higher than those random cards because Oh, I didn't even notice that. That's one of the best cards in the in the binder. That's a ulti first ed Perfect Machine King. That's insane. Don't let me forget that I am supposed to open a Legacy of Darkness pack, guys. You make sure you let me know in the comments so I don't forget. Oh, that's a nice Thought Ruler Archfiend. First ed Tempest I did see originally. That's pretty cool. He told me he valued it out so I just 100% trusted him, which is not something you should do, but sometimes you just got to like give it a feel. I went through and I was like, "Yeah, it seems like reasonable what he came up with." First ed Revival Jam by the way. Seems like somewhat reasonable. Sometimes you can get screwed like that. It's like, "Oh, 2800. It's actually worth 1600." And then, you know, you're you're paying more than it's worth and then, you know, all the costs that come with selling cards and stuff. You end up losing a ton of money. So you got to be careful. But if worse comes to worst you end up with a lot of cool Yu-Gi-Oh! cards. So that's kind of like my default, you know, it's like, "Oh, no, I overpaid for them. I guess I still have cool Yu-Gi-Oh! cards I can deal with." See are you you have prismatic secret. And as you can tell this is actually a this binder is very solid. Like there's a lot of nice stuff. Wait. I thought that was a first ed. It is a first ed, but it's not English. I was about to say, what is that over there? That's an expensive card. There's a Relinquished. That's an SDP. There's a Cyber Laser. A lot of cool stuff in here, actually. Nekogal number one, this is TP5, by the way. That's a cool super. Nekogal, you might see an opening of that set at some point. TP6 coming in few days. So, keep an eye out on the channel. I did maybe pull a few Nekogals. There's the Incredible Ecclesia. There's a Primite, awesome. I need to upgrade my I I really want to max rarity my modern deck now. Oh, no, that's always first ed. I didn't even notice that. Silent Swordsman. And there's actually a lot of cool stuff in here. First ed Chaos Sorcerer. Like, you glance through a binder once, you miss a lot of things. And I I didn't notice a lot. This is a cool cool one. The Hobby League cards, which if you play those in go, you can, you know, split right to your to your cards. This is a little cheap, but that's why you kind of have to double sleeve. Cyber Eternity Dragon, Fuhwalos. Animas, we have Solidarity. I think that's actually decent in terms of value, Solidarity. We have my favorite artwork of Red-Eyes, incredible. This is definitely going to be a long video. Gravekeeper's Spy, Pot of Greed. There was one lady that came by who said her and her brother just have like a meme, like they just love Pot of Greed. Like, she knew nothing about Yu-Gi-Oh, but she loved Pot of Greed. So, she bought five Pot of Greed from the go box. I was like, that's cool. I respect that. There's first ed Heavy Storm from Gold Series, I think. Mirror Force first ed Rocket Warrior. We've got some secret rares here. No Blade Knight Arrows, unfortunately. Three Cyber Dragons is crazy. Mod Play, Chaos Emperor Dragon. We have a Shining Flare Wingman. Starlight Road is cool. Neos is cool. There's a lot of fire in here, actually. This is definitely a great binder. Very solid. Like, there's not It's not like there's nothing in here. And I even pulled out some of those good cards, too. There's the Pumpking. I love that guy. The The Junk Blader's money, a few bucks. It's a newer card. And then uh that's that's a new new card from uh uh Chaos Origins as well. Uh the Dimension Fusion EN, that's cool. That's a newer card as well. And then Alister, so I think that's it. So that's everything there. Okay, we're going to open one pack as promised and then we are going to reveal the damage. Also as promised. Uh the damage, how much money I am down because I had a over one about $1,000 cost. All those purchases you just saw. And uh here we go. Not even the the plushies, I didn't even talk about that. And then I had to pay for Chelsea to have a badge. She was there for like 5 minutes. That was $65 because they upped the price for extra vendor badges. I was like, "Come on, this is lame. You guys are taxing me over here." Okay, first pack. Legacy Dragons, we have a Warrior Dai Grepher. Let's see what we can get. Dragon dwelling in the cave. Spiritual invitation. Twin Headed Wolf. I don't expect to get anything out of these loose packs, but it's got to be fun. Let's open them up. Robo Lady, we have Serpentine Princess. I'll probably open the other ones in another video. If you want to see those, let me know. I I shouldn't open those for a new guardian, but the bent one is tempting me. Uh Spirit Ryu. Spiritual energy settled machine. And Bottomless Oh, Blast with Chain. That'll work as well. Very cool. Blast with Chain. What an amazing card. So I say amazing, that sounds sarcastic. It is a decent card. It's not amazing, but it's decent. Okay, now's the time to talk about what happened. We were there. We had a $1,041.81 cost. That includes the plushies. And then we purchased $6,445. I had include we I had to include Chelsea cuz she was part of it. She She bought the plushies and some sweatshirts with Lugia on it, which was pretty cool. And uh you want to hear the sales? You don't want to hear the sales. They weren't close. $2,303. I feel like I missed one somewhere, but $2,303. That means I was negative $5,183.81. Hey Ruxin, you should try to not lose money at one of these things. But how am I supposed to buy a lot of cool stuff then? Yeah, good point. Yeah, you're right. Yeah, talk to I just talked to myself. I think I think we're good. I think we're happy with that where it ended up with. But maybe I should try not to lose $5,183.81 next time because that is a lot and as you saw I'm keeping a lot of this stuff. So if you want to help me out, hit the like button. Of course, check out next week's Whatnot stream where we're going to have Magnificent Monsters. It's going to be absolutely insane. I'm going to be giving away a mini box every 5 minutes during the stream as you guys saw in the ad earlier. It's going to be incredible. Hopefully you're enjoying the Collect-A-Con content. There's the vlog from the other day. There's this video. Then we're asking every vendor at Collect-A-Con. And I'm also going to have an opening 2,000 upload special.
