I ACCIDENTALLY Spent $170 On Target Trading Cards (OOPS)

Today I'm headed to Target to find the new mystery boxes. I think they're going to suck. >> Time to >> There are no Yu-Gi-Oh packs here at all. There used to be this whole section. I wonder if it's in the being held behind the counter or something. I found them. They moved them to the back with the video games. Hobbit though. kind of want some Hobbit, but there's a limit to two units per item per guest. So, I guess I could get two Hobbit to something else. That's not too bad. Okay, I went in there for the new mystery boxes people have been sending me. So, if you guys have seen those mystery boxes, hit me up because I do want to open them. They look terrible, which is what I was excited about. I ended up buying a bunch of stuff. So, they had a limit of two per person, but it's per item. So, you can get like two Hobbit packs, two of that, you know, as long as it's not the same item, you can get multiple. So, I end up getting a variety of stuff that it's going to be really fun to open. I've been excited to open the Hobbit and I just haven't gotten around to it. Let's see how it looks. All right, guys. We are back from Target and we didn't find any of the mystery boxes as I showed you guys, but I did get lucky enough to find quite a bit of stuff to open up. So, this turned into not the video I expected, but because, you know, we're going to talk about the mystery box a little bit. If you guys have those, you can help me get some. I would love to open a terrible mystery box for a video. Unfortunately, my target doesn't carry them. And by unfortunately, I mean very fortunately, cuz if they suck, it's good they don't carry them. But I am interested in opening them and seeing how bad they are and warning people not to open them. Or maybe they're good. Maybe they're good and we want them. I don't know. I want to try them out. But now we get to go through what I bought, which I um if you are afraid of other TCGs, you're going to be scared cuz I bought multiple others. I bought Yu-Gi-Oh as well, so don't worry. There is some Yu-Gi-Oh. So, we'll start with that. Actually, I had to grab Battles of Legend Glorious Gallery. Duh. We haven't pulled the Mia yet. One. And this target was limited to two per item. So, I got two Battles of Legend Glorious Gallery. That's the most I could get. Couldn't get any more of that. But what I could get was one Chaos Origins. I actually could have gotten two of these, but I was like, do we need two? Let's just get one. That'll be fine. I also was able to grab this, guys. Pokemon in the store. I had to grab some pitch black. I I'll tell you guys about my brother who just left for college. I got him something for his birthday. I got him a pitch black booster box. Of course, he pulls the dark cry sir. Every time he gets a booster box, he pulls the best card. Then we got some Chaos Rising. We'll pull the Greninja as well. And then we got a Zerude, which is in this set, I think. So, it's just a it's like one of those ones that's a promo. And also in the set, we get the Snorlax token as well. Not that I really keep those tokens, but Snorlax is cool. And then the thing I'm most excited about is the Hobbit items. I got two of the Hobbit play boosters so I can play a little Magic. I'm a magic expert. I've played it like three times. uh guaranteed foil in every pack. But I love The Hobbit. I love Lord of the Rings. So, I did not love the liveaction Hobbit movies. I didn't I didn't like them at all, actually. But that doesn't mean I'm not going to like this cuz I'm an OG Hobbit fan. Then we have a Hobbit. Uh what exactly is this? This is called a bundle. So, there was a few options. There was like the the one you open up the draft. I really thought that would have been fun if I had somebody to do that with near me, and I was like, "No, I'm not I don't have anybody to do that I don't think Chelsea's going to want to do that with me. So, uh, we're going to have to save that for whenever I meet up with friends or something like that. Bundle is going to have to work for now. This is also like way less. It was like 707 bucks instead of $140. So, saved me a little bit of money. We get to open nine 14 card packs. There's some full art seasonal Hobbit lands, which are going to be beautiful. We don't have a chance to get cereals out of this stuff because that you have to buy the collector boosters and those are $800 and I'm just not doing that. That actually might have been cheap. They might be more than that now cuz collector boosters are insane. But don't you worry everybody, we do have a giveaway. I'll be giving away this Chibi Exodia, the forbidden one. I'm going to mix in the Hobbit stuff as well. This thing does not want to stand up. Uh, as a Hobbit fan, I open or I uh used to listen to The Hobbit on tape, the OG, you know, the book. I don't know a lot of you guys. Yeah, I you're reading crazy. Uh I didn't read. I was listening. I mean, I did read it originally, but I was I listened to it a million times. The OG book from JRo Tolken. There's our first Token [music] from Tolken. Not actually from Tolken, but it is Token. We got four packs. So, I have heard that story many, many times. I really need to relisten to it because it's been a long time. Uh but it would be really cool to revisit it. The OG movie as well, the 1977 Hobbit, I think. Absolutely incredible. It's a cartoon. It was so good. So, just a lot of great memories with The Hobbit. I love Lord of the Rings, so I wanted to open some of this. And as you guys know, I did open Lord of the Rings collector box when that came out. That was uh only $400, and that was a little bit easier to swallow than $800. I couldn't quite pull the trigger. Couldn't quite do it. I was going to get some from Front Line and I was like, $800 plus tax. We're looking almost $1,000. I I don't even play this game, you know? I'm a Yu-Gi-Oh channel. It's like all the things that's saying no are saying no. And it's like I would enjoy it, but is it really worth spending a,000 bucks? I don't think it is. There's a super. And look, my Oh, my lens is dirty even after I cleaned it. I'm really considering getting a real camera so I don't have to use my phone because my phone something about I don't know what happened recently, but the lens just gets super dirty super easily now. Didn't used to, but now every time my phone is just looks terrible. Foolish trap hole, Roxen special, lane restriction, power patron, super connected, plasma blast, sacred prohibitive. We have light and darkness ritual and the Urania ultra rare. Very nice. We're going to open one more pack. He chaos origin. We're going to open a hobbit after that. We're going to open up Bilbo Baggins. We're going to open him up. Uh far under the misty mountains cold to dungeons deep and caverns old. We must away a break of day to seek our longforgotten gold. Guaranteed foil in every pack. Reminds me of Yu-Gi-Oh. Okay, play booster. So the to dungeons deep. I did not read that before this. That's actually insane. [laughter] Nice timing. Returning to Middleear and experience a timeless tale's grand beginning. Set out from the Shire with Bilbo, Gandalf, and their company of dwarves in pursuit of fortune, adventure, and the dreadful dragon smal. Amass and recruit your armies in the shadow of the lonely mountain. Then battle it out to claim the treasures of Arabore in the battle of the five armies. Okay. What are the dwarves names? Doran. Doran. Doran. Is that right? Now, now I'm getting confused with other things. It's been so long since I've listened to The Hobbit. I should know all these. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know the dwarf's names. Duran. Is Doran actually in The Hobbit or is that just a a lore thing for Lord of the Rings? Now I can't remember. I'm sad. That's why I need to relisten because I literally listen to this probably a hundred times. So I if I had to jog my memory, I'd probably remember it all. But as you guys know, I have a crappy memory and all my childhood stuff that I would love to remember is not 100% there anymore cuz they actually like there's like what is there 13 dwarves or something? There's a ton of dwarves and they all like get get their own time, you know, like they're they're all named. It's not like they have like three of them that actually show up. Like they're actually they actually get some respect in there. Okay, the Hobbit. Here we go. See what we can get. What can we pull? Lord of the Rings is not yet. This is pre-Lord of the Rings. We are in The Hobbit. The OG Smokes Fury. That's incredible. Holy crap. Look, where are his corn kernels, though? Can we zoom in on the corn kernels of his uh scales where the black arrow is going to fit in that hole? If you guys have seen the the cartoon, they look like little corn corn kernels where his chest plate is or whatever or his like belly. Ravening Wag the Wag Riders. That's more of a This is more of a Lord of the Rings thing, but I mean, they are kind of cool. Plunder the troll shaws. Very cool. I don't know where the foil would be. Vow to Edore. That's pretty awesome. Quarrel. Professor Quarrel. Oh, wait. That's different thing. Merkwood. Nurturer. Dwarfven shorts sword. Very cool. The Hobbit hole in the Shire. You're going to leave. You got to go on an adventure. Bilbo. Nashing of teeth. Creepy. Bard the Bowman. Black Arrow. You have never failed me. And you will shoot that dragon. It's so lame how they There's so many lame things about that Hobbit movie. But the way that they shoot the dragon down with like a freaking crossbow. So much cooler when Bard whips out his bow. He's a black arrow. You will fly true. I don't remember exactly. He's like, "You have never failed me." And then he says something else. Uh and basically, fly true. And then he just shoots the dragon down. It's so epic. It's so epic. Sound the trumpets. Plus, guys, people hate on the Hobbit game, but The Hobbit GameCube game was lit. I'm just saying it was amazing. Sound the trumpets. We have Riddles in the Dark with Gollum and with Bilbo. Lakeshore Apothecary common. Then we have Iron Hills. That is a uh land and then a treasure token. So, here is our hollow. We got a common. So, we didn't get anything crazy. Uh I don't know how crazy they even get in these packs. Probably not that crazy, but we get a cool Iron Hills land. Awesome. These are going to go in the box with all my Lord of the Rings cards that I kept all of those. So, all right. We have a lot to open today, so let me get to it. I I bought a lot of products. Ended up being $170, which is a lot, but I did get a bunch of different things. So, oh, and we get the uh the fountain elemental f elemental hero fountain. Is that what he's called? That's sick. And now we pull Mia. It's going to be epic. I'm so ready to pull Mia right now. Okay, not even doing the pack trick because I know we're going to get it right here. I had a good feeling. The good feeling was not accurate. Maybe it was just I was feeling the next pack. Maybe that was what was going on here. Oh, Danny S force. Oh, I saw I saw the fusion and it was not what I thought it was. Construct two packs remain. What will be inside? Then we still have one more Yu-Gi-Oh, a Pokemon, little mini blister, and we have the Hobbit. Yeah, I used to play the crap out of the Hobbit video game. Apparently, the Game Boy version is like a terrible game, but I can speak from experience. The Gamecube game is really good. Plus, it has the uh the speedrun. If you guys have watched the Hobbit speedrun video, this guy made a detailed speedrunning video about that video game. The game is really fun. I enjoyed playing it back in the day. Back when I was a real gamer, you know, now I just play Pokemon. That's it. But back in the and Masterville, I guess, counts as a as a game. But uh yeah, back in the day I was I was a gamer. I was playing the hobbits. There's a wagling. A little baby Ironle stalwart. These are definitely giving old school magic vibes on that artwork. Bilbo's deadly slice. Taking out the spider. Murkwood nurturer. There was a lot of spiders in the video game. A lot. Okay. Dwarfven shortsord. I guess there was in the book as well, but still. Uh giants boulder. Gollum the abandoned. Oh, we got a Gollum. And he is not happy. Where? Where is it? My precious. Okay. Um, my precious. I can't do that. What was that? That was like an office voice. Oh, Roxen special. My precious. Yes, my precious. Where's Quick Panic? We need a precious. Why can't I remember Gollum's voice? Small precious. I That's not working. I I can't do it. All right. My precious. We got the precious. Dusk watch hunter common. And then a forest with treasure. Okay, cool. Yeah, I got I I gotta rewatch I'm trying been trying to get Chelsea to rewatch Lord of the Rings because I don't want to watch it by myself. That's a lot of a commitment. I need somebody to watch with me to watch Lord of the Rings. Uh now is a good time to talk about Rings of Power. I'm sure a lot of people hate it. Honestly, I don't hate it that much, but as you can tell, my my full like lore uh memory is not 100% right now. So, it's like, yeah, I know they do mess up some lore things and some some of the characters are a little annoying, but it is a fun fun watch. Uh, and I'm just glad they're making Lord's content. I mean, nothing will be worse than The Hobbit besides Last Jedi. So, uh, I feel like you could only go up from here, which is a bad place to be with some things, but there is a Snorlax. Cool. Two packs. We got our Zerude. Zude. He's quite rude. I'm going to save the pitch black because I want to get the uh the dark cry because uh my friend Kyle said it was like the coolest card he'd ever seen uh aka quick banning because I this is amazing. It's literally the coolest card in the set. I think that's what he told me. And I was like, "Dude, I thought it was like cool. I didn't think it was the coolest card in the set." And he's like, "No, seriously. It's literally better than every other card. Better artwork, better everything. You just have to love it." And I was like, "Dude, I don't have one yet." He's like, "Well, you better get one or else you're going to lose." All right, we got it. Immoga Matang. Okay, I haven't opened a ton of this set. The what is it called? Chaos Rising. I'm looking for Johto Pokemon. So far, none. Bergamite. We have Glossopod. Roxy's performance. Deoxys. Nice. Legendary. Clay doll. That is close. Hoen. Adversity policy. And a jumbo ice cream. Who's hungry? Yay. Ice cream time. I love getting trainers. I mean, I'd rather have a jumbo ice cream than like a nothing. But where are my Johotto Pokemon? Maybe I can lure him out with this jumbo ice cream. That is I'm not going to lie. Mouth's watering a little bit looking at that jumbo ice cream. That's fire. Makes me hungry. Okay, one more Poke Pack. Look away if you're you're anti- Pokemon cuz you know there's always going to be somebody like pack up. Let's open it up and let's see what we can get. Basic energy. And then you get a little bit of popular magic formats on your turn. Tell you how to play a little bit. That's pretty sick. I mean, this is some pretty awesome artwork. You got the Shire. You got the big old trees. Got them crossing the river. You got the mountains. The creepy forest. I mean, the forest is one of the creepiest things. Very awesome. We get two of those, by the way. Uh, that is the elf. Okay, so the uneasy potting. Where are we getting in the barrels at? Dwarfven uh provisioner. I said prison earlier. Pine cone strike. Set the pine cones on fire. Confosticate. That's pretty cool. With a treasure and elf. More bangers. I don't know like because this is split up like what like the craziest rarity you can get. I'm guessing there's nothing too wild. Human soldiers chilling over there. Uh Hobbit. What a beautiful card. O the brave. O and Gloin. Yeah, O and Gloin are like there's like lore about them later. I can't remember what it is. Uh Ra there's a lot of them have lore about them. Uh Plunder the Troll Shaws. Wow to Arabore. We have Nori teller of tales. Nori and Dory. We have old thrush, the thrush, misty mountains, Gollum the abandoned again, elven raft steer, bilbo's gambit, vow to arabore, common, and the island with an on an adventure. Quite an adventure. All right, hobbit time. I guess we'll get through the uh the lands, you know, cuz we already know what's in here. But they are cool. I think they're all the same. It's just like a set. Oh, wait. Whoa. Misty Mountain's cold. The dungeon's eating caverns old. Oh, these are hollow planes with the hobbit door. Three of those. Then you get the Oh, and you get the snowy planes. That's so cool. And then you get them walking in. You know what's up, guys? Island swamp. Oh, these are beautiful. So, you get one like nonhol version and you get these really awesome looking hollow versions. That's insane. Okay, few more packs. Let's keep it going. Incredible. If you guys like these mixed openings, let me know. Gandalf, wandering wizard. Pretty cool. Old fat spider. Oh. Oh. Oh, I got a rux and special. Oh, and I lost another card. What do you even call that? Super Rux and Special into the dropped card. Lake Town Toy Maker, Balin, Lore Master, and Bilbo Baggins the Burglar. Nice common hollow. We have a Merkwood Land and then Wolf, the two-sided Wolf. Four packs remain. I feel like we got some cool stuff. Now, in terms of like high value, I doubt it. But these are cool cards and I had to open a couple. You know, you got to open some when you get the Hobbit, Smog's Fury, the Bent Blade, Long Lake Nuisance, Magnificent End. That's pretty cool. That's got a arrow shooting the guide. That's cool. Bejorn. We have Stir Up Trouble, Elvin Kings, Harper, Lake Town, Toy Maker, Burnborn Tree, and Fern Large Bear. Ooh, a Chief Wogs Company. That's a rare and seems to be borderless full art style kind of kind of uh card. That's amazing. That was hollow. That'd be insane. Little Bear common. Elven King Halls. That's a land hollow as well. And then the Goblin Army again. Very nice. Seemed like a pretty good pack. Probably one of our best so far. Probably one of our best. All right. What's up next? Uh Velvet Wing Butterflies, Blazewing Butterfly. We have tidings of war, front porch, centuries, enchanted rivers grasp, moment of glory, long-bodied grey dog. What kind of a name is that? Rage in the valley. We have master's cons counselors. I can read. Gloin the mighty. Oloin the mighty. We have great ugly looking [music] goblin. Great ugly looking goblin. The dash. Great ugly looking goblin. [laughter] Uh we've got an Eland Moonreader mythic. Okay, non hollow, but it's an Eland. That's insane. Dreaded Bat Cloud, which I'm pretty sure I don't know that Eland is in the OG. That that feels like a character they added, right? Because they go to the Murkwood Forest, right? And they put Legalolis in there for some reason. That was just stupid. But uh I don't know that those I mean they mention the the necromancer aka uh Sauron, but I don't know that they mention any uh like notable elves. Do they maybe Elron? I mean he is around, but I'm trying to remember. It's been so I got to re I got to relisten to this. Eagle of the Great Shelf. Merkwood. I used to know like every second of the entire book because I listen to it so much. Thoren Mountain King. Another mythic. Okay, that's nice.
