So, a couple things I want you to see on
this face frame and how we cut it. We
cut it and really use the head shape to
kind of create this nice face frame and
this nice fall.
Now, you could see how the head shape
kind of plays a role in how
uh the outer perimeter looks on this
haircut. So, what we're going to do is
I'm going to tilt my client's head just
slightly off to the side.
And that will allow the hair to fall
kind of
how I want it to in place. What I'm
going to do is I'm going to take my
hybrid elite scissor uh from Free Salon
Education, and I'm going to slide cut
in. The great thing about this scissor
is from this point of the blade, it is
sliding. So, you can see slide cutting
is this point down all the way through.
So, only one blade on this scissor is
sharp until you get to this point uh
this point here where it says cutting.
That's a cutting tip. So, once you slide
through the hair, and then you finally
close the scissor fully, then it cuts
the hair
uh fully grips the hair. So, if you want
to work little pieces of uh the
perimeter and you just want to actually
cut them off,
the tip of the scissor fully cuts. So,
if you're uh working a bob and you're
doing some slide cutting through it, and
then you want to work the outer
perimeter, this scissor is great for it.
Now, as I'm going through, you'll see
kind of the benefit of this.
I can slide through
and it just glides through
hot knife through butter.
And it adds some separation into that
face frame. Now, I want to
this part's going to kind of come back
off the face.
So, I'm not too worried about that, but
you can see how nice and subtle that is.
But, what I want to do is I want to add
just a couple pieces just below
the jaw
and you can see how it'll bring out
those pieces.
That's pretty much it. If I wanted to
lighten up this just a little bit, I can
slide through it.
Uh don't need to do too much of that.
