How to Hang a Sign at PACK EXPO International (Without the Headache)
Watch on YouTubeVideo summary
To successfully hang a sign at PACK EXPO International without unnecessary complications, exhibitors must first submit their intent through the Exhibitor Resource Center by accessing the Service Manual tile and selecting the order now option under that section. Once logged in, users should navigate to the hanging signs tile within the service manual home page and choose the specific intent to hang a sign option. It is crucial to carefully read the directions provided on the subsequent pages as they outline essential requirements for displaying signage. After entering the quantity of intended signs and adding them to the cart, exhibitors must proceed through checkout; please note that submitting this form should incur no charge.
Before finalizing any requests, it is mandatory to review the engineering stamps FAQ located within the hanging sign tile page to ensure full compliance with ANSI E1.50-1 standards for all signage materials. Exhibitors are required to complete and submit the necessary structural integrity and hanging sign information forms by August 24th, 2026, which can be accessed from the related forms section of the service manual. Upon filling out these documents, users must select the submit button until a green check mark appears next to the form in the dropdown menu, confirming successful submission. Additionally, all diagrams and assembly instructions must include specific details such as hang point locations, height above the floor for each point, suspended weight per point, and an exhibit plan showing how hanging points relate to the overall structure; any support exceeding 200 pounds requires immediate notification of PES for approval.
The final phase involves uploading approved diagrams and assembly instructions through the my account dropdown under uploads and forms within the exhibitor service manual, along with submitting a floor plan that clearly marks the location of all hanging points relative to the exhibit layout. Once these digital documents are uploaded, physical shipping must be arranged between September 1st and September 30th, 2026, ensuring that signs arrive at the advanced warehouse in separate containers labeled specifically for hanging sign use with the provided labels on shipping materials. Failure to adhere to this timeline or submit all necessary forms by the August 24th deadline will result in exhibitors losing eligibility for discounted rates and guaranteed straight-time pricing.
Ultimately, strict adherence to these procedural steps ensures that signs are approved by show management and delivered safely before the September 30th cutoff date. Any hanging signs sent after this advanced warehouse deadline or directed directly to the show site without prior approval will not be guaranteed standard time pricing, potentially leading to additional costs for exhibitors. By following the outlined process of intent submission, form completion with engineering compliance checks, diagram uploads including weight and location specifics, and timely shipping using correct labels, organizers can avoid headaches associated with last-minute signage issues while maintaining cost efficiency throughout the event preparation period.
