Video summary

Do you want to understand how a narcissist really thinks about his wife? In this video, I'm going to reveal exactly how he thinks about you. Because while it may appear innocent or unintentional, it is hidden and it is often far more sinister and strategic than you might think. It involves a deliberate long-term plan designed to achieve a specific goal or gain an unfair advantage. Because narcissists utilize their grandiosity, lack of empathy, and charm as deliberate, goaloriented tools to gain power, control, or status. They don't merely act out of emotional disregulation. They calculate their adaptive behaviors to achieve specific personal or professional outcomes, and they are often highly perceptive. They use calculated techniques to match how they are perceived and to influence those around them. They wear a mask of charisma. They are skilled at blending in. They initially appear generous, outgoing, and deeply engaging to victimize vulnerable people or to build professional leverage. And rather than fully lack the ability to understand people, they withhold it or turn it on only when it serves an ulterior motive. While they may weaponize perceived past trauma to gain sympathy, excuse their toxic actions, or draw people in, it starts with love bombing. They shower you with excessive affection and attention early on to rapidly build trust and gain control. This is followed by grooming, where they pressure you into compromising or isolating situations, to remove your leverage and establish dominance. And when self-promotion fails to elevate their status, they actively work to undermine, dome, or sabotage the status of their competitors, which may include you since they often feel threatened by intimate partners. But he doesn't view you as a partner. You're a reflection, a prop in the story of his ego. When a narcissist first meets you, he doesn't see you. He sees possibility, the hidden potential for future success, the perfect mirror that will make him feel powerful, admired, and complete. You're not chosen for who you are. You're chosen for how you make him feel. So, he views your kindness as loyalty, your empathy as devotion, and your strength as a challenge. And it's one he's determined to conquer. It was never about love. It was always about possession. He doesn't love you. He loves the way you make him feel about himself. Think about a time he's done this and let me know in the comments below. Once he has you, everything changes. The moment you stop worshiping him, he then feels threatened. The compliments fade away and then he starts criticizing you while disguising it as concern. Suddenly, your voice is too loud. Your opinions are too emotional. Your boundaries are selfish. In his mind, you've gone from perfect to problematic. But it's not because you changed. It's because you stopped being his mirror and started being a person. He doesn't think he's hurting you. He thinks you're attacking him by not adoring him. And here's the psychological twist. He convinces himself he's the victim in this. Which is why he might say things like, "You used to be different." Or, "I just want peace." When he's the one creating the chaos and drama, but to him, your pain is proof of his power, and he justifies it by rewriting the story. In his mind, he's always the hero or the victim, but he's never the villain. And if you call out his behavior, he'll say you're too sensitive or you're overreacting. If you try to leave, he'll say you're crazy or you're abandoning him. He will use this as an excuse to smear you to people. And it's not because he hates you. It's because he fears being exposed. He needs to control the narrative so people see you through his distorted lens. Every story he tells about you is designed to defend him against being seen for who he really is. And here is where most people get it wrong. They think reasoning with him will help. They think that if they just get him to think logically about it, or if they provide enough information, facts, or evidence, he could then form a sensible conclusion, appropriate judgment, or solve the problem. But you can't use logic with someone who's allergic to accountability. Because in order for them to tolerate a logical argument, they would have to be obligated or willing to accept responsibility for their own actions. They would have to be answerable for the outcomes and willing to explain or justify their choices. They would have to explain what they did and why. They would have to accept the consequences of their choices rather than making excuses or pointing fingers. And that is something a narcissist isn't going to do. Instead, they will display an intense avoidance or refusal to take responsibility for their actions, mistakes, or decisions. And they will even go to extreme lengths to deflect blame justify errors and avoid the consequences of their behavior. So, you can't have a meaningful conversation with a narcissist because they need control in order to feel comfortable. They struggle with transparency and vulnerability, but this is also why they may struggle with letting you go. It's another aspect of their control. They need to have a sense of possession over you. And that is why when he does feel you step away, he will use emotional bondage to keep you mentally and emotionally trapped by unhealthy patterns or negative self-beliefs. This is especially effective if he has taught you to rely on him for your selfworth, happiness or validation. And it can result in lost individuality, anxiety and an inability to grow personally. So you may feel stuck in guilt, fear, obligation or hope because he may use intermittent reinforcement, random punishments or rewards at regular intervals. He may be kind for a few days, but that's not growth. It's baked. It's love bombing. He might apologize. He might say he will change. He might talk about therapy. But that's only if he senses he's losing control. Typically, a narcissist will have everything set up and pre-arranged in a way where they are the one who is in control. So that you can't just leave. And it is what gives them the platform, the means to abuse you because you may not have any other option. But if you can't leave just yet, there is something you can do. Start to detach. Start observing instead of absorbing. Keep a journal. Not to gather evidence, but to provide yourself with clarity. Stop explaining yourself. Protect your finances, your relationships, and your emotional energy like they're oxygen. Because they are. Every time you react, he wins. But every time you stay calm, he loses. Let me know in the comments if you've noticed anything I've mentioned before. I will be replying to all of your comments later. There is one thing that truly terrifies a narcissistic husband, and that is when you no longer need him. When your peace no longer depends on his chaos, he starts to unravel. He'll test your limits more and more. He'll provoke you just to see if you still care. But do not take the bait. His greatest fear isn't you leaving him. It's you outgrowing him. Because then his reflection in your eyes disappears and with it his identity. Because he derives his sense of identity from the control he has over you. He doesn't know who he is without that control. You don't have to expose him, humiliate him, or fight him in order to win. Your healing is the exposure. Your calm is the revenge. And your quiet confidence will do what anger never could. It will make him irrelevant. You were never too emotional. You were never too hard to love. You were simply with someone who is too empty to meet you there. Start rebuilding your peace even in silence. Because no amount of perfect words will create understanding where there is no genuine willingness to listen. So if you are trying to break the cycle, disengaging verbally is the first step. And the day you stop trying to explain yourself is the day his maniplation loses its grip. If this helped you, please comment below.
