HOURGLASS AMBIENT LIGHTING EDIT UNLOCKED HOLIDAY PALETTES 2026 ARE AVAILABLE NOW!! SHOP OR DROP?!

[music] It is officially the most wonderful time of the year with the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit launch to kick off the holiday makeup season. Yes, it is only September, but every single year after Hourglass launches their holiday palettes in September is when every other brand starts dropping those launches like hot cakes. So, get ready. And ladies and gentlemen, for you, I have the early access link to the brand new holiday hourglass 2026 collection limited edition first access link down below. This is not sponsored. I just do this video every year and it is a very, very exciting time for me because I will be adding four new Hourglass palettes to my already chaotic collection. And that's just the way I like it. Today I'm going to be going over all four of the new Hourglass palettes, the new shades, the existing shades, whether or not I even am interested in this collection, which palettes I think will be best for you, and all of the details that we know about these palettes. Now, quick little disclaimer. These palettes are very expensive. Even if you have one, like, you don't need to buy these every single year. I do because I'm such a big fan of these powders. To me, they are worth it. An individual blush from Hourglass is $48. A mini blush is $32. This year, the price has gone up. It's $98, but it is still a great deal to get six Hourglass shades in one palette. And if you get it, you get it. There's some people where these powders aren't worth it. For me, I get it. When I put these powders on and I get out in the sun, I see the Hourglass filter. They are powders that I keep right next to me as my right-hand man. Whenever I'm doing my makeup, especially off camera, whenever I'm traveling, I use these powders because I think they are the best powders on the market and I think that they are undupable and many brands have tried this year as you've seen. So, every single year, Hourglass does this collection and we're going to be going over the four limited edition palettes that will sell out this year. Though I do think this year might be the first year that it will take maybe a little bit to sell out these palettes. We'll see because it it I think we might have gotten bamboozled by some AI work. So, let me fill you in before we get into this year's palettes. Okay, do you see these three palettes up here? This is honestly what I and many others thought we were getting for the holiday collection. I did a whole shopper drop on these. Um, these are not these are not the holiday palettes that they have announced. It's been these. And I actually said in a previous video, these better be the holiday collection because these are not exciting. And I fear down here these are in fact the holiday collection. And I think these are AI. I'm not sure. I've seen multiple comments saying you've contacted Hourglass and they said there won't be a second drop. I haven't seen anything confirming these are AI, but there's not going to be a second drop of Hourglass palettes from what I've heard so far. Trendmood originally posted this photo and said there was going to be two drops, but she's actually corrected herself and said, "I will confirm the second drop." So, nobody really knows. Uh, but there is information on this saying there's three more palettes. And what makes me second guess that this is AI is because it says this is designed by the artist Gil Button, which this is what they normally do. They partner with an artist. And this is very hourglassesque style packaging. And these have different names to them, different suggestions for what skin tones. And these color stories look so fun. If you ask me, they look different from any other Hourglass that they've launched. So, I got excited for these. I thought these were going to be the holiday drop. So, because of that, when I saw that these bottom photos were the actual holiday collection, I'm actually very disappointed. If I had seen these photos without these photos on top, I probably would be more excited. But I'm not going to sugarcoat it. I'm disappointed in this year's holiday collection because I was expecting this. So, if you have any information, please let me know down below on these. I've seen that it's not real. I've seen that there won't be a second drop, but I want it to not be true. Like, I want this to be real. But today, we are not going to focus on these. We're going to focus on these. But I wanted to set the scene so you could know why maybe us Hourglass fans are not so excited about this year's collection. So, we're just going to call it This is not the holiday collection. If you go on the Hourglass Instagram, they have confirmed that this new collection is the holiday collection. So, I'm going to assume that for now, this is all we're getting with the palettes. Let's head back to Trendmood. Let's talk about the actual palettes. So, these are going to be the three main palettes that are available right now on the Hourglass website. We have the Wish palette, the Luck palette, and the Hope palette. And one thing I want you to know when it comes to Hourglass shades and their promotion photos, they always look very different in person, which is why I do a shower drop and then I follow up with an actual video so you can see the true colors because never judge an Hourglass palette by its marketing photos or its swatches. It's all about on the face. But um lots of warm blushes. Even though every year I ask for mauve blushes, like I don't see anything exciting about these palettes. Am I going to buy them? Yes. Will I use them endlessly? Yes, because these are my favorite powders. And you would think they would do something different, but at the same time, these sell out every single year. So why would they? Their formula is working for people to buy these every year. They all sell out at Sephora. They truly are limited edition. they don't come back. So, if there is a shade or a color that you like, I do suggest you purchase it and you won't regret any of these palettes because of the formulation. But for collectors, obviously, this is not exciting and you have these colors in your collection already. But if you've never purchased an Hourglass palette, like, welcome to the world. I am so excited for you to choose the best one for you. I mean, from what I can tell just from these images, the Wish palette here is going to be for light complexions. The Hope palette's going to be for medium complexion. The Luck palette's going to be for deeper complexions. As always, every year, I will get all of these palettes and I will demo them on my skin tone. I usually can make the deepest palette work for me as well, even if just eyeshadows, but normally the light and medium palette does work very well for me. Now, where is the fourth palette? It is already on the Sephora website, so it's coming out on September 10th exclusively at Sephora. And the Sephora exclusive palette last year sold out, just so you know. So, I will be getting it. Last year, the Sephora exclusive palette was not any new shades. This year, the Sephora exclusive palette has three new shades, so I will be picking this one up as well. Something to note immediately from the uh from the Sephora website that we can see $98. This has been the biggest price jump that they've done so far. This palette was, I believe, $94 last year. So, just a heads up on that. I think when these first came out, they were like $80. So, we've price jumped a lot here. But, let's start off with the colors in the Sephora exclusive palette since we have the best imagery of this. Now, this is the love palette. Honestly, it looks really pretty and pink. I actually really like this palette. Do I have m majority of these shades? Even if there's new shades, yes. But I think that this one is very pretty. What I don't love about it is it pretty much looks like four blushes. I know this middle shade right here is a highlighter. I think this is going to be best suited towards medium complexions, light to medium, but here's what we have going on. Natural bronzer is a great bronzer on my complexion. Rose Heat does work very good for up to deep complexion. So, it is somewhat versatile in the shades that it does have because vivid coral looks like it's also going to be quite pigmented. But anyways, rose heat. It gives that Victoria's Secret blood rush to the cheek color. Really gorgeous. Dimlight I really like because it's very close to my skin tone for the finishing powder. But this one is a blush heavy palette. So, keep that in mind. So, here are the two new blushes. Electric pink, which I think looks really pretty and it's a trendy pink color. I think I will love this one on myself. Vivid Coral, I don't think it's going to be a shade I'll use very often, but I do think it'll be great for medium to deep complexions. And Rose Gold Glow Highlighter is new, so I can't say how it's going to sit on my skin. It looks like it actually might compliment medium to deep complexions very well, but that's going to depend. You know what I would love to see in these blushes? a new formula like a blush lighter color. Something meant to maybe top blushes or something. I think that that would be fun. Hourglass, put me on your team. Please, I have so many suggestions for this launch. [gasps] Let's just hop on a phone call, you know. [screaming] Anyways, I have ideas to make this more exciting. This is a very gorgeous palette the more that I'm looking at it if I'm being honest. And I am excited that this year's Sephora palette does contain actual new shades. So, I like this enough. I'm attracted to Electric Pink enough to pick this one up. So, I'm excited for this one. And I think it is going to work great for a variety of skin tones, a range of skin tones, which you know Hourglass is not great at doing. See? So, but we will have to see in person. I can't say it confidently until I have it in my hands because don't trust Hourglass Photos, you know. Let's look at the remaining three palettes since this one was just the Sephora palette. Now, you'll notice the font is different. It's because on the Sephora website, the reason that we found these colors is because they actually had the write up for all of the shades in the remaining palettes. So, someone I'm thinking it's Glam Junkies combo, but as you can see, I'm getting this from a Meat Beauty's page. They went through and then they labeled all of the shades. So now we know. So let's start off with the Luck palette here, the deepest complexion one. Five new shades. They've been doing that for the deepest palette, but I think that that is incredible that there is five new shades. So that's exciting for an Hourglass collector. Uh we have the Velvet Bronze bronzer, which looks nice and deep and it has it's not a marbled finish. It's just a nice smooth finish here. Then we have Orchid Flush Blush. Looks like a deeper shade, Topaz Glow Highlighter, Soft Dalia Blush, Radiant Mauve Blush, and then the existing powder is going to be the finishing powder, which they don't need a ton of shades for the finishing powder since those are more sheer by nature. So, it makes sense that this is the only existing shade, eternal light finishing powder. And from looking at all of these palettes, there is not a single new finishing powder in any of these, which I think is fair because I feel as though they've completed that range and these are sheer shades. Even if you already have them, I mean, I don't care that they're not new because they're they're all going to look the same except for diffuse light on me can be used as a little bit of a highlighter. But anyways, they didn't need to extend that range if you ask me. This one won't be for my skin tone. I feel like the shades are a bit warm, but we'll see. Okay, then we have the Wish palette here, which is the one best suited for fair to light complexions. So, like I said, the existing powder here is the diffuse light finishing powder, which I can get away with using this as a highlight if I really concentrate it, but I can also put it all over my face. And there are four new shades. Ma Flush Blush is the only blush that already exists within the range, but new shades. I'm excited about this Moonstone Glow Highlighter. I do notice that their highlights turn brighter on the skin than they look in pan. So, we'll see how this goes. It looks like it might have a pinky turn to it. We'll see. Pink Aura blush is looking a little peach in this photo. We'll have to see. Athereal bronze bronzer. The thing when it comes to Hourglass is their names are different. variations in different orders of the same words. So, I feel like this bronzer exists even though they say it doesn't. And desert rose blush. Like, are we sure that blush doesn't already exist? This looks like a beautiful everyday beigy peachy blush. Okay, this one won't be for lighter skin tones. I'm not excited about it. I feel like this palette already exists. These blush sound like they already exist to me, but um we'll see. I tend to really like the lighter palettes that they've been coming out with, but typically my most used palettes tend to be the ones for medium complexions. So, we have the the hope palette, which is my middle name. So, this one will have soft light finishing powder, which is very close to my skin tone. I would say dim light is the closest to my skin tone, but soft light works. Okay. And that's the only existing shade. So exciting. We have five new powders. So, this is one of the years where they have the most new shades. So, that is the one thing I will absolutely give this launch. Um, if you're a collector, we're getting a lot of new shades. And the shades that aren't repeating make sense to me, except for this blush, but we have new brilliant pink blush that looks very bright. I'm a little bit more attracted to the rose quartz blush here, which looks rosy and glowy. We'll see. Hard to say with it only in photo form. The soft rosewood blush. Then we have sunlit bronze bronzer and luminous opal highlighter which that one looks pretty. Sometimes in the medium palette the highlight can be just a tad too deep for me. I mean, all of these palettes have three blushes, which I guess makes sense because you can get different looks with the blushes, but I don't feel as though the blushes are necessarily different enough once sheared out on the cheek. Like, from what I can tell from the photos, like these look like they could blend out to be similar on the cheeks here from the Luck palette. I do appreciate from the Wish palette. I feel like these blushes look like they have their own character. Like maybe a little bit, but I want to see complete opposite ends. I want like an orange blush, a true pink blush, a true beige blush, and I want it to be obvious that they're different. The medium palette, I'll need to see them in person and how they shear out, but hopefully they look different on the cheeks. Like, I'm not going to sugarcoat it. This is the least excited I've been for an Hourglass launch and I need to see this in person. Now, also Hourglass does launch their brush every year. Sometimes they do brush sets as well. That might come a little bit later, but we have the Edit Unlocked blush. And this year it just has the jeweler that they worked with, which I forgot to tell you about the artwork. I'll tell you in a second. $56. I know it's really expensive for an Hourglass brush, but I've got to say I love my Hourglass brushes. I think that this particular brush sometimes is a bit too dense for their powders, but that's just my own opinion. I prefer like a looser packed brush when it comes to Hourglass and using their powders. But that will be a holiday brush. Nothing too exciting, but I do enjoy their brushes. I forgot to talk about this, but for the artwork, they collaborated with Parisian jewelry designer Lauren Rubinsky. I I like the idea. Uh they normally do like artwork. Not that jewelry isn't artwork, but you know, like a picture, so I do like the idea that they're doing jewelry, but I wish it would have been a regular launch in the year, not the holiday collection, you know? Congratulations to that jeweler. I don't want to talk about her art. It's cute. I just wish it wasn't the holiday collection. Now, if you do want a closer look at these colors in real life, of course, I will purchase these and I will show them to you. I will try them on and I will tell you my real thoughts after having them in hand. But if you want a sneak peek, Brit Clark, who knows more about Hourglass than I do, has managed to get all of the palettes before we even knew what they were. And she has a lot of videos where you can look at the palettes and get a better idea of what the colors are actually going to be. So, I will link her page down below for you guys if you want that early look into the colors since this is about as in real life that we can get to seeing these colors. So, thank you so much, Brit, for doing that detective work and making all of our lives easier. She's been covering these palettes for weeks now without knowing any information. So, she's a real one. So, she's definitely a great source for Hourglass content and insight and swatches. So, those are my first thoughts about this year's Hourglass collection. While I'm not as excited as I was in previous years because this doesn't look like anything super exciting, I think those photos of that one weird potentially AI launch set me up for failure for excitement because I was hoping for those and not this launch, but I haven't seen these in person. We will see our It doesn't matter. I'm going to use these a lot regardless just because the powders are so great. But I cannot stress this enough. You don't need to buy these every year unless you want to, which you're in the right place, okay? I don't judge. As a collector, I don't judge. I have mine from day one. I love them. They're the best powders. But I think as someone who's done this for 8 years now, I can confidently say this is probably the least exciting launch of these, the least exciting packaging. I mean, the code is pretty. It is, but I'm ready for something fresh. But anyways, I will have the link down below for you guys since this is the early access launch. And keep an eye out.
