Heavy Water Use Growing Almonds & Pistachios in California: Pistachio Wars, Resnick’s War on Iran
Watch on YouTubeVideo summary
The video begins by highlighting California's status as a major agricultural hub for the United States, noting that successful farming there depends entirely on having a reliable water supply. The speaker shares personal anecdotes about growing up near Fresno, recalling the delicious peaches and figs from their family's land before transitioning to almonds, which they describe as an extremely water-intensive crop. While the speaker mentions using almonds and dates for nutrition during weightlifting, the core discussion quickly shifts to the economic and environmental realities of almond farming. A specific point raised is that many almond farms are not located on naturally water-rich land but instead rely on transporting water from other regions, meaning their viability as investments is precarious if those external water sources are cut off or become too expensive to access.
The conversation then pivots to pistachios, which are similarly described as requiring vast amounts of groundwater. The speaker introduces a controversial historical narrative regarding the shift in global pistachio production, claiming that Zionist families lobbied the U.S. government to impose sanctions on Iranian pistachios during the 1980s or 1990s. According to this account, Iran was the world's largest supplier for decades until these sanctions were enacted, allegedly through political influence. The speaker argues that following these sanctions, Zionist families began acquiring land and establishing orchards across California to fill the void left by Iranian exports.
The central argument presented is that these new pistachio operations have had a devastating impact on local communities by depleting groundwater aquifers. The transcript asserts that as these farms tapped into underground water supplies to meet their high irrigation needs, water levels in surrounding towns dropped significantly, causing well prices to skyrocket and many wells to go dry. This situation has reportedly created deep resentment among residents of small California towns who feel their essential water supply is being stolen by large-scale agricultural interests. The speaker concludes with a strong warning against these entities, labeling them as occupiers who are portrayed as enemies of humanity and urging listeners to be wary of their actions within the United States and other nations.

California.
California. California's got good soil
as long as you got good water.
As long as you got a good water supply.
Right?
California is a breadbasket of the
United States.
So much farming going on there. Our
family used to own an almond orchard,
which is extremely water heavy
crop to grow.
Right?
Uh
but wow, we had peaches on the land and
figs on the land and man, when you went
when we used to go visit, it used to be
near Fresno.
You pick a peach off the tree
bite into it, it was insane. It was
insanely good. Right? And the almonds,
amazing. Amazing.
We used to eat a lot of almonds when we
were kids. And almonds is powerful,
gang. If you want to If you're doing
weights or anything like this, almonds,
dates, and walnuts, those are three of
the
foods when I was doing
spending some time in the weight room. I
got to get back in there.
Uh halfway through my
my sets, I would pop almonds and almonds
and dates.
The almonds provide the protein and
fiber. The dates uh provided the sugar,
the gluten, and the fiber to uh send the
protein to my muscles as I was as I was
doing weights. It was really good.
Really good.
I'm glad we're trying this one out.
It's been sitting there for
few weeks.
I bought it because a cigar shop owner
said it was really good. Uh I should try
it, so I did.
Uh
very good recommendation.
Uh
>> Yeah, beer in the patio is nice. I'm not
sure what happened with drinking it.
The Ed Factor, salute, salute. Welcome
back to our live stream. Interesting you
own an almond orchard. One of Michael
Burry's primary thesis for the future is
that almond farms will be great
investment because they are
uh
they are on water-rich land. Um
Here's the problem with that.
A lot of the almond that is grown in
California, they're not sitting on
water-rich land. They're bringing water
from outside of that region.
So, if that water supply is cut, it's
not water-rich land anymore.
Um
but
almonds, but I don't know if there's a
they're a great investment or not.
Um
uh almond orchards, but it's I'm pretty
sure the price has gone up. But, if
you're not sitting if they're not
sitting on water-rich land, then
uh you're going to pay a hefty sum to
bring that water, provide that water to
your orchards.
All right? Same with pistachios.
Pistachios are extremely water-heavy as
well. And I can tell you one thing about
the pistachio that comes out of uh
California, a lot of pistachios grown in
California grown by a Zionist family in
California, right? And what did they do?
They brought pistachios from Iran
because Iran was the largest supplier of
pistachios to the world for decades upon
decades upon decades upon decades upon
decades. And then, what the Zionist
family did, they lobbied the US
government to sanction Iranian
pistachios. And this was in the 1980s or
something, right? '80s or '90s, right?
Sanction Iranian pistachios.
And they paid enough enough politicians,
right? The Zionist puppets
to sanction Iranian pistachios. And what
happened?
They had a pistachio business. So, they
started buying up a lot of land in
California or getting the rights to
uh have pistachio orchards in all over
California. And when they had pistachio
orchards, they tapped the groundwater
supply. And what they did, because
pistachios require a lot of groundwater,
a lot of water, right?
The water levels for aquifers for those
towns started going down, and the prices
of water went through the roof. So,
there's a lot of small towns in
California that are anti-pistachio
farms from the Zionist family because
they're depriving the town of their
water supply, right? And they've kicked
up the prices, and a lot of wells have
gone dry, right? So, that's what
Zionists do to the United States of
America. Zionists do to every nation
that they occupy, right? Beware of your
Zionist occupiers. They are the enemy of
humanity. That means they're your enemy.
Deal with them accordingly.
