Video summary
The hosts of the video embark on a special outing from their home in Grove, Oklahoma, to explore the Wood Shed Antique Mall located in Big Cabin. While they have previously visited various toy museums and antique locations across different regions, this trip focuses specifically on checking out a local mall that passes by frequently but has yet to be explored thoroughly. Upon arrival, they are greeted by an old classic car parked outside near charging stations, which the hosts humorously comment on before entering the store filled with colorful plastic toys and pop culture relics ranging from vintage items to modern collectibles.
Inside the antique mall, the duo discovers a wide variety of nostalgic treasures including Erector sets, books featuring Paris Fury, and action figures like Yogi Bear and characters from Space: 1999. They also spot unique items such as a Six Million Dollar Man game set, a Dallas Cowboys tribute with Roger Staubach cards, and even a rare Classified Cobra Viper figure which the host excitedly identifies after initially missing it. The collection extends to wrestling figures featuring matches between Ninja Turtles and Karate Kid characters, along with an entire Simpsons family display that playfully includes references to OJ Simpson, showcasing the eclectic mix of items available in this regional shop.
The shopping experience yields two distinct finds for each host: one acquires a reversible Patriots NFL jacket which serves as both winter wear and team memorabilia despite being purchased during summer, while the other purchases an old record titled "God's Kids" intended to be deconstructed for a school portfolio project involving album cover design. The hosts appreciate that these items were inexpensive bargains, noting that finding such specific regional fan goods like Patriots merchandise in rural Oklahoma is quite rare and valuable due to their limited availability outside of dedicated collectors' circles.
As they conclude the visit on their way back home to Grove where their cats are waiting with anticipation, the hosts reflect on how antique mall trips can be unpredictable adventures where one might find nothing or discover hidden gems like GI Joe collectibles in other visits. They emphasize that while collecting is not currently a primary focus for them at this stage of life, these outings remain enjoyable experiences filled with discovery and humor about their specific interests. The video ends with the hosts expressing excitement for future travels and activities they plan to share with their audience before signing off with their usual friendly greeting.

Hello everybody, HCC here. Mary Anne is
with me. Look. Hi. Hi. We are going
someplace. We have been out in the
country. We got away from the city.
We're in the country. The country,
so-called because of all the cuts. So,
we've been sitting around in the the
woods with the rocks and the trees and
the birdies.
Um
and we're going home pretty soon, but we
decided to go someplace a little
special. Do you remember when we took
you guys to Branson, to the world's
largest toy museum? Well, we're not
going there or any place like that. But,
do you remember though,
um when we took you uh or when I took
you on a trip
uh across the northeast of the United
States uh
and showed you several different toy
stores and interviewed people that uh
that are friends of mine. We're not
doing that, either. One thing that you
should know
is we've been staying in Grove,
Oklahoma, and Grove has a really nice
outdoor museum. It's actually quite
expansive. Uh there's a lot to look at
there. We're not going there, either.
Instead,
uh we're going to go to a place called
the Wood Shed Antique Mall.
Uh we pass it every time we drive this
way and uh
every time we're we say, "Hey, we should
check that out. We should go there. We
should stop in and see what it's like."
Well, now we're finally going to do it.
So, please join us in checking out
the Wood Shed Antique Mall. Will we find
vintage toys and collectibles? Will we
find anything that we're interested in
at all? I have no idea, but that's where
we're going. We're not going to any of
the other places that I mentioned. This
is the way place we're going, so please
join us.
There it is. Look fast cuz there's
another truck coming to block it.
Well,
I can take it.
There it is, Wood Shed Antique Mall and
right outside
is this old classic car. Check this out.
This old jalopy.
This old rust bucket.
Yeah, very nice. And it's right next to
these charging stations.
It's so sad. If it If only it could make
it to the charging station,
perhaps it could run again.
Sorry, classic car.
Bicycles.
Thank you.
Dennis the Fun First.
Bullet holes, that's about right.
It's a gay lobster.
Three samples
of air. It's It's [music] a sample of
country air.
In places like this, I am always drawn
to colorful plastic.
It doesn't always mean it's vintage
toys, but it often does. And even if it
isn't, it's always some
relic of pop culture. [music]
What would be pretty thick?
>> [laughter]
>> Well, some of these are kind of cool.
I don't think I'm going to find a lot of
post-punk [music]
in here, but still, some of this is kind
of cool.
Erector Set.
Yeah.
Lots of it in there.
There he is, we found him.
No longer we had never seen him before.
He's been here this whole time.
He looks a a bit stunned that we found
him.
>> [laughter]
>> Funko
and
more.
It's some Tulsa commemorative stuff.
We are not that close to Tulsa, but it's
nice to see the hometown represented.
Surprising to find
books on kink here, but there we've got
Paris Fury.
The Hip Flip.
A swinging game for swinging people.
But, here's something that may be of
interest to vintage toy collectors, the
Six Million Dollar Man game.
Here's this whole
football card
framed tribute to
Dallas Cowboys, which yeah, they they
they did have a a good team at various
times. There's
Roger Staubach.
Hey, it's a plushy of me.
Here's some toys, not necessarily
vintage,
but there's some here. There's a
alien Ripley
and some more modern Masters of the
Universe.
Uh I don't see any Classified or
anything like that. So, yeah, there's
some mix of uh
vintage and
modern collectibles here.
Who learned to type on one of these?
Because I did.
I actually did learn how to type on one
of those. Oh, but you did not know that
Captain Picard went to OU?
That is a scary baby.
Here is something I don't see every day,
Barnyard Commandos.
That's That's a line that probably
should get more attention. It's um
it was a pretty cool line with lots of
collectibility,
but I hardly see anyone talking about
it. Barnyard, hmm.
Pickles and more.
Colorful plastic and [music]
pop culture relics,
including some of this stuff.
Look, there's a there's a wrestler.
Hey,
look, Yogi Bear.
Space: 1999.
Walt Disney World's Classics.
And check this out.
Clash of the Titans.
There's a movie I haven't thought about
in a long time. And Korg: 70,000 BC.
Here's to good friends.
Tonight is kind of special.
I am in trouble.
Look at this
Snoopy-themed
pencil sharpener. Check that out. I have
never seen one of those before. At this
point, I think it's a little too late to
uh
to bandage his head wound. I don't Yeah.
I don't think he's going to pull
through.
Hey,
wrestling figures. Oh, and you've got
Ninja Turtles and Cobra Kai {slash}
Karate Kid match up.
And uh yeah, you got some stuff here.
Um Starting Lineup, these things that
nobody cares about except for me.
And oh, look at that. Look at that.
Cobra Viper, we have a Classified
[music]
figure, the first one that I've seen so
far in here. Oh, nope. Nope, I
immediately spotted another. Same one.
But, also
Hey, Croc [music] Master.
Not bad.
Not bad. Look Look, the entire Simpsons
family.
I'm sure OJ is in there somewhere. Here
is something for Star Wars collectors.
It is
Star Wars Disco.
Yep. Nico, it's only $64.99, but how
often do you see the [music]
disco version of the Star Wars theme
song and music? Yeah, yeah, I guarantee
there's no pass in any of this. Oh, wait
wait wait wait wait wait wait [music]
wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait
Oh my goodness.
You know, I do have a a loose policy of
buying any Patriot stuff that I find.
>> [laughter]
>> Cuz you don't usually find anything.
It's a very regional fan base. Here's a
paper doll collection of George Bush and
his family. And is that
Is that Damien, the Antichrist?
I spoke too soon. Look at this beautiful
Patriots
NFL jacket that
um
wow, who
Who out here
in rural rural America is
going around with an NFL New England
Patriots jacket? And how much is it? I
don't see any price on it.
I've never [music] seen one of these in
the wild before.
Yeah, I'm going to get it.
I'm going to get it as long as this is
really the tag that goes with this.
I will never find another one of these
anywhere in this region of the country.
Do your serious face. Do your serious
face. Yes, this is a photo. Do your
serious Yeah.
Yeah, now now look at me like like you'd
like to kill me.
Ew. Ew, what's That was the Wood Shed
Antique Mall in Big Cabin, Oklahoma. And
we did each find something. Um I got
this Patriots
uh coat. It's a heavy winter coat just
in time for summer.
Um [laughter]
it's reversible. It's reversible and uh
and I love it. I'm going to put it on.
I'm never taking it off.
>> I got an old record. Uh-huh. Um
basically because I'm going to
deconstruct it for one of my portfolio
pieces for class. So
>> Yeah. So you got the
What What was it? You got God's Kids.
>> God's Kids. Yeah, I'm not going to
listen to the record. I am going to
deconstruct it cuz I'm creating a an
album cover for one of my portfolio
pieces.
>> That's right. Deconstructing God's Kids.
>> [laughter]
>> Oh yeah, she she does You You have a
an album cover project that you need to
do for school. So
>> Yes. Yeah. Uh so that will aid you in
uh in doing it. And the main virtue of
it was that it was inexpensive. Yeah.
And it had the basic construction that
you were looking for
for your project. So
>> Yeah, cuz I have an unconventional
uh album cover design.
>> Yeah. And so I have to deconstruct
something that is pretty much like the
same, you know, like in the same
ballpark that I want to go for the
construction of the cover. Yep. And this
was it. Very minimal, but I think it's
going to suit me. So yes, we we we got
one that was inexpensive and will serve
our purposes. And this This is actually
not too expensive either. I got a steal
on this. It's like it wasn't too
expensive to start with and then it was
on discount. It's reversible. Yeah.
Yeah, so it's like black on the inside.
The The hanger was free. But look, like
it's it's reversible and it has the the
team name and the logo on the inside. So
yeah. Yeah, that was a steal. Yeah, it
was a That was a great bargain. So yeah,
we do this every once in a while. We go
to these antique malls. You never know
what you'll find. Um and sometimes we
found some really cool stuff. And
sometimes we find nothing. That's uh
that's pretty common, too.
But Part of the adventure. That is part
of the adventure. So if you have a place
like this near where you live, check it
out. I've gotten some GI Joe
collectibles, other vintage toy
collectibles at places like this. And I
showed you some. They have some in
there. So
uh if I were collecting still,
I might have picked something up. But
instead, I picked up
I picked up this. We are on our way back
to Grove, Oklahoma. We had a really nice
time. The cats have been waiting for us.
They're going to wonder what we have
done. Where have we been?
They'll be very upset with us. They will
lecture us in their cat language.
>> How was it that my cat tried to trip one
of us? Yeah, he might try to Yeah, he
he'll take it out on us. Yeah. Uh
occasionally tries to commit murder.
Um but uh we had a good time. We both
found some stuff. You found that record.
I found that Patriots jacket. I ended up
not getting the Patriots, you know, 3D
printed uh oversized necklace.
Um but I am still going to have
the best New England Patriots team
memorabilia collection in this entire
part of the country
because I'm the only one looking for it.
It's very rare that I come across any of
it.
But when I do, I pick it up and over
time it accumulates.
It's been fun.
It's time to go. It's almost time to go
back home. And we will get out and show
you more stuff at some time in the near
and or late future.
Uh we got travels coming up and we got
activities coming up and you are going
with us. And until then,
make sure
you keep it
spring loaded.
What time?
Hello everybody. HTC's here.
