Um I went to a uh the world's largest toy museum in Branson, Missouri. >> Okay. >> And they did have some Joes. And for the world's largest toy museum, um I think what they have here is better. >> Okay. I've heard some talk about whether uh Hasbro are reissuing any of the Street Fighter stuff since they have the license again. Could you imagine? >> They're going to go They're going to go through all of the A team characters. >> Right. All of our favorites are going to >> do all of the A team and then they'll get to the B team and then C, they'll be in the D listers. Um but 90s G.I. Joe fans, an underserved population. >> Absolutely. >> I think that's where they go next. I think that's where they go. >> I mean, you can tell just by how many like uh Ninja Force characters they've done in Classifieds already. They They see that there's an audience there. >> Yeah. And I think it makes sense. They are all so slightly younger than us. >> Right. >> So, they live a little bit longer. They'll have disposable income for just short short shortly longer than we will. One of the biggest flaws with it is the trunks that end. >> Yeah, that's well, I didn't have this or the Star Wars version. That was rich kid toys, but I I would I would have liked it. That was the tail end of my Star Wars collecting is when this came out. But that is yeah, this is a famous reuse that >> [music] >> um a famous really cool reuse. That was for the Robin Hood movie, right? >> Mhm. >> Look wrestlers. You met Sergeant Slaughter? >> I have met Sarge. >> Yeah. He's a nice guy. >> Yeah. Maryann and I still have have not sold yet a complete collection of the Stargate line including all the variations, at least all the variations that I know exist. >> Okay. >> Um it wasn't that difficult to collect. There's not that many of them. >> Right. >> Um but this is a really fascinating line. They had some um vehicles. They had the wing glider was actually pretty cool, but they had they did they did a reuse of the the all striker. >> Mhm. >> Uh even though there's no such vehicle in the in the movie or the TV show. The whole run, three different series of TV show, nothing like it. Um but you know what this line doesn't have is a stargate. >> Right. Which is odd. >> Yeah. >> There's no play set. So that or like the pyramid thing. >> Yeah. >> You know, if you had one of those as a base would have been cool. >> Um they had these like little artifacts and there was a like a tiny stargate in one of those, but not one that you can actually scale that you you with the the figures with uh so yeah they they got a reuse of the All Spark mold but the Stargate series did not include a Stargate. Oh wow, look at that. Yeah. >> the toys so much. Mission disk. [music] >> Yeah, um Like that's I mean that's a great price but you're going to have to buy, you know, a vintage uh computer to uh >> to play the missions. >> that in, yeah. >> Will Smith. >> Yeah, a great likeness. Looks exactly like him. Yeah, I um now this is I I don't think I've seen these but I guess I wouldn't have either. Uh this is totally under my radar. But um I haven't had anything that would was compatible with those disks for 20 or more years. >> Yeah, I think I had a disk drive on the computer I took to college [music] in 2001. That was probably the last computer I had that had a disk drive. >> Now I don't even have like a >> Sounds like we're being transported to another planet. That was Um that's still one of my uh favorite reviews, especially the more recent ones. I had a lot of fun with that. >> I love those ones that are like such a quirky thing from the toy line and they kind of explain [music] the history and what was going on cuz I I don't think everybody quite realizes how cunning and willing to like slice into every market Kurt was. He was just like, "Oh, they're doing space, we're doing space. Oh, they're doing dinosaurs, we're doing it." >> And they did. Yes, they did dinosaurs. You know, even I I still think that whole set was goofy, but I I really enjoyed the review to the point that I it kind of endeared me to it a little bit. Uh >> I I definitely think some of your videos about the goofier things have endeared people to them. [laughter] It's It's similar to like the Angry Video Game Nerd making bad games popular. You know? If you can laugh about it, you you start to love it a little bit. >> Yeah, and you know, some of those were some of the reviews that I enjoyed most. They were fun. Um and that one in particular, I mean dinosaurs and GI Joe, sure, whatever. But the way they did it like on the cheap um with um entirely reused parts. >> Yep. >> Uh and they they didn't even get like a new dinosaur. They they licensed a different company's dinosaur, so they didn't even have to do a new sculpt for that. >> they made it worse. >> Yeah, they made it worse because >> It didn't meet standards. >> Yeah. Um which is that's that's fascinating. I I Even though the series uh or that set is is goofy, um that kind of thing just uh it really tickles me. That that I love digging into that kind of thing. You know, on my first live stream back, I got uh temporarily banned. >> I heard bad >> Yeah. Because of uh because I >> [music] >> shot a spring-loaded missile at the screen. And and YouTube didn't like that. It it did it violated their firearms policy. No. Uh so, they felt threatened. Uh they took it down. I re-edited edited it and they approved it, so it's fine. And they I did get my privileges back, but uh I was uh out of YouTube's good graces for a minute. >> I mean, what a way to come back. >> Yeah. >> You hadn't posted anything in a while and then you got immediately banned. >> Yeah. I got uh halfway through I got [music] halfway through the live stream and they were like, "Nope. Stop. No. We're not sure that that missile is made out of foam. We're not sure that that's harmless." So, what I'm saying is uh you have any like spare spring-loaded missile items? I I've sure >> We have a Nerf gun around. >> Yeah. You want to get in trouble again? >> Just wondering. Yeah. I wonder [laughter] if I can make it a twofer. Wonder if I can do it twice in a row. This uh is the James Spader Daniel, who yeah. They exercise their eye muscles. Mary Ann's a big [music] fan of both the movie and the multiple series, and so she's introduced me to it. There are only so many Dukes that you Oh, well, I guess you can do infinite Dukes, right? [music] But if you really need to you can >> There's like 50 some versions. Although, there's probably only like 12 outfits. >> Yeah. Yeah. Um so, you just mix and mix and match and call it a different. >> Right. >> So, Ninja Force [music] dude or Tiger Force dude. How do you like the reaction figures? >> The regular reaction I wasn't super wild about, but I really enjoyed the reaction bus now that they went to O ring. >> I as a non-collector, I I I can look, but not purchase. That's new rule, I guess. Um >> That That takes some skill. >> Yeah, it's it's uh >> It's it's it's proving quite difficult. The sign says anything in case, ask. That sounds like an offer. I would like to be in the case, and I'd like to see if they can make me fit. >> On the front, it's a submarine that can float? >> Um uh your guess is as good as mine. It looks aquatic. It definitely looks aquatic. >> Bizarre. >> But yeah, there's a lot of collectibility in Hot Wheels. Uh it's just not my thing. So, like I totally blank whenever I see the wall of Hot Wheels. Probably a lot of people feel the same way about um Starting Lineup. It's uh uh sports figures, but uh I kind of dig them. They're They're really kind of ugly. >> They're not good likenesses now of the of the players at all. They're as generic as they can possibly be. [music] Like really bland face sculpts. They just print some numbers on like generic figures. >> Um but uh you you know, um I've got a couple Drew Bledsoes. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> I have a Mike Schmidt. >> Yeah. Uh the cats keep knocking it down, and I yell at the cats. You leave Drew Bledsoe alone. He's been through enough. >> Speaking of bad likeness, this is Robin Williams. >> Oh, yeah. >> It looks just like him, doesn't it? >> We stand that next to uh Mork from Ork and it's they're basically the same. They just put a put Mork from Ork's head on a different body. Look at that. Spot on. >> Oh, yeah. >> Nanu nanu. Sunglasses make sculpts very forgiving. >> Look, action figures cannot be >> [music] >> contained. Action figures find a way. I got the idea that I was going to organize the storage of the vehicles. >> Okay. >> Um so like by year Um but then I'd need to get something out for a review and it'd be [music] like in the far bottom corner bin. So like that was just impractical. That that discourages you from putting things back. [music] >> Yes. >> Um because now I got to dig the thing out again. Put it back where it belongs. >> [music] >> Like >> And that's when the studio turns into a giant mess. >> Yeah, yeah. Um so then I started um I gave up on that and I started just like putting things where they would fit. >> Yeah. >> And then I don't know where anything is. >> Yeah. >> So that then like I need something to review and I have to go through five or 10 storage bins. >> That's I've been there and [music] I'm like I know I own this. Where's it at? Yeah. And you're going through the same bin over and over again thinking you're crazy. >> Yeah. That's how I end up with multiples of the same items. I forget that I have it. I don't suppose you've ever opened a sealed Mega Marines Play-Doh container, have you? >> [laughter] >> I got some crumbs in here. >> Yeah, yeah, yeah. It It doesn't work after a couple decades. It just See, if I if I had the space, maybe I could do something like this. This is This is beautiful. >> The hard thing is that there's just never enough space. Like I'm always struggling with how to set it up. So when I moved here, my plan there's actually this like giant built-in sofa that all the stuff is sitting on. And then I want to get rid of and replace with something that would be more suitable for displaying toys on. Like maybe have a a nook or a cubby underneath and then on top. >> Yeah. >> So my plan was to put the flag on the long stretch. >> That would Yeah. >> Eternia in the corner, and then another play set maybe the Ghostbusters firehouse or something on the end. Something to represent multiple lines. And so when I started putting the the toys out, I kind of had that vision in mind. So I started with a lot of the oddball stuff. And then He-Man things in the corner, and then I transitioned to GI Joe. But when I started putting the GI Joe stuff up, I clearly was out of room already. So there's like some stuff scattered up top, and then the Street Fighter guys ended up over here by the stairs. So it it just doesn't quite fit. I get a lot of joy out of just being surrounded by these things, these these icons of pop culture. Um I used like I used to have a space like this and I used to have this feeling when I was in this space. Um So, yeah, I like however you choose to organize it and however you someday decide to display it, it's still, you know, surrounded by a lot of just a lot of joy. This is amazing. And it's it's a work in progress, like I said, cuz like someday I would like to take out this sofa thing and put in something else there. But for now I wanted to be able to get some stuff out of storage and be able to enjoy it. Um but then it turns into like moving the stuff to then do the work. So, we set up to do the live stream here. This pile in the middle of the room and then I shoved it over against that wall to make more space. >> Yeah. >> Eventually, hopefully that stuff will be on display, but I have to figure out am I doing shelves in this area? Like where else can I stick shelves? I've sort of done the perimeter of the room. >> Mhm. >> Um and then it's still doesn't quite all fit. So, do do I downsize some of the stuff or do I um you know, figure out more create more spaces to put things. >> By the time everybody sees this, they will have already seen the live stream, but uh >> Right. >> there's uh See, I think this will be my chair and uh that'll be your chair. Since this is my chair, can I take that with me? >> Uh if you would like. >> Yeah. >> You can you can have it. >> I'm not collecting toys anymore, but maybe I can collect chairs. Uh so, when somebody says, "Take a seat." I say, "Thank you." What is like the weirdest thing that you that you have? >> The weirdest thing that I have. Uh that's tough. I do have a couple of like bootleg Mexican He-Man figures and and like weird versions of Battle Cat. >> Uh-huh. >> Um I'm sure there's other weird stuff. I'm just not sure nothing's like popping into my mind at the moment, but there's definitely some weird stuff. >> Yeah. Well, I it was actually a quick trick question because the weirdest thing that you have in here >> is HCC 788. Oh, that's Oh, so I did things like that too. >> Mhm. >> Oh, because I did have all of the the ones the ones that were like the vintage the vintage ones. >> Yeah, okay. >> Um Yeah, I think I sold a couple. But I didn't have all of them.
