Video summary
In this exciting preview for JoeFest 2026, HCC788 unboxes a special shipment from the independent toy maker Delta 17, featuring their new "War in the Shadows" line set against a desert theme. The package initially reveals two figures clad in detailed desert camouflage: Shepherd and Jaguar, representing good and bad guys respectively with sharp paint details reminiscent of classic Desert Storm patterns. Beyond these combatants, the unboxing uncovers a mysterious boxy item that turns out to be a highly anticipated Sky Storm unit designated JF-26 for the upcoming festival. This particular figure stands out immediately due to its stunning vac-metalized chrome and silver finish, which catches the light beautifully and satisfies the creator's love for shiny objects without compromising joint articulation or structural integrity.
The figures come equipped with an impressive array of accessories that enhance their tactical realism and playability. Shepherd is shown wearing a helmet designed to fit securely into his headpiece, alongside weapons like a tactical shotgun and assault rifle that feature intricate desert motifs. A notable highlight is the backpack accessory, which includes pegs allowing for modular weapon storage, enabling figures to carry multiple items easily. Jaguar's arsenal similarly boasts high-quality detailing with accessories such as bladed batons and sniper rifles equipped with functional bipods. The articulation on both characters is robust enough to support dynamic poses while keeping their gear firmly in place, demonstrating the consistent quality that fans have come to expect from Delta 17.
Adding further intrigue to the collection are small robot figures inspired by designs from previous years but upgraded with a new shiny plastic top piece for secure packaging and display. These robots feature reflective surfaces that gleam under light, head and waist articulation allowing them to move rather than stand statically, and removable backpacks that can be adapted for other action figures. The set also includes custom sticker sheets featuring the number 788, adding a personalized touch for collectors who wish to customize their displays. With retail availability scheduled for July following the exclusive release at JoeFest in Augusta, Georgia, this new line offers an exceptional blend of detailed painting, innovative chrome finishes, and versatile articulation that marks another milestone for Delta 17's growing reputation in the action figure community.

Hello everybody HTC788 here and I have
something special for you. This is
something that was sent to me by Delta
17. Delta 17 fantastic action figure
brand fantastic independent action
figure toy makers and they sent me these
because they're going to have these
at JoeFest in Augusta, Georgia that is
coming up this week this Friday. It'll
be June 26th through the 29th and I'll
be there and so will these. I haven't
actually
dug into this box. I opened it
so that I could
take them out on camera and we'll both
be surprised. Ooh, yeah.
This This is a surprise and I love this.
It's um
It's green bubble wrap.
Green bubble wrap. I'll have I'll have a
lot of fun with that later.
Um oh and more oh
we're double dipping double dipping on
the green bubble wrap.
Um and then okay, we've got some regular
regular bubble wrap here. So let's see
what's in the regular bubble wrap.
>> [snorts]
>> Set the box aside for a moment. Let's
see what is
under
the
regular
ordinary bubble wrap. Now I like the
green bubble wrap.
The green bubble bubble wrap is special.
Um I mean regular bubble wrap is great
in itself, but green
that's going the extra mile. Now check
this out.
Uh yeah, okay.
Yes.
You may be familiar with some of these
figure designs and I will I will show
you the close-up version in a moment,
but for now there is the figure in or
the figures in the package.
Delta 17 war in the shadows,
uh Shepherd, and Jaguar. Jaguar.
Um so, that we've got a
a good guy and a bad guy
in
desert camouflage, desert theme. And
now, this.
This other
uh boxy thing here.
Perhaps it is a Pandora's Box. Who
knows? Perhaps this is something uh
magical
uh under this
regular bubble wrap. And
by God, it is! I'm really jazzed about
this one. Hold on, you'll you'll like
this. And you'll see why I like this
from
this
ripping the plastic wrap right off. And
what we have here
is a Sky Storm.
Uh it says uh unit JF-26.
Get it? JF-26, huh? And this what is so
cool about this is it's shiny.
It is vac-metalized uh chrome. It all is
all chrome and silver and shiny. And you
know how I love shiny objects. So, what
I'm going to do, actually, I'm going to
go ahead and switch the camera around so
you can get a close-up of these, and I'm
going to open them and let you see these
which you can get at JoeFest this coming
weekend. Let's take a close look at
these guys, and I did cut the packaging
so I could take it out more easily on
camera. Uh check out the card with that
That'd make a really cool tattoo. May
get that as a tattoo.
Um and then we have the back with this
great artwork, Shepherd versus Jaguar.
And uh we're going to set that aside
so we can take a look at the figures.
So, we've got
this uh
top
blister there. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Yeah,
yeah, yeah.
Uh yes, they
yes, they fit quite snugly. Very good.
They
They will not move around whilst in the
packaging. Let's see, this would be
Shepherd. I'm trying to get better light
on these guys. I don't have my normal
lighting set up. So, this figure
has a desert camouflage. It has like
that old style Desert Storm chocolate
chip desert camo. Really really sharp
paint details and incredibly detailed
camouflage pattern for a figure this
size. That's really impressive. Of
course, he's got his death mask there.
And as usual, man, we've got some Oh,
yeah, really nice tight joints on these
guys that are going to hold in place
really well for all kinds of poses.
We've got wrist articulation. The
standard you expect from Delta 17 now in
desert camouflage. He has some
accessories including
a figure stand.
If I can pop that out of there. Very
satisfying grip on that figure stand.
Yeah.
And let's check out his accessories.
He's got his uh helmet here.
And as you can see there is a notch in
that helmet.
And there is something that fits in that
notch for that helmet and that is There
we go.
Very nice. Very nice. Not going to be
safe
without his helmet. You want to ensure
safety first.
Safety first. There we go. Safety when
operating a forklift and certainly
safety in combat. Got this um
It looks like like a tactical shotgun.
Um and an assault rifle.
The with just
uh really great detailing and with the
desert motif just even better. Uh Uh see
if we can Yeah.
Fits great in the figure's hands. Last
but not least,
a backpack, [snorts]
also in the desert camo colors. Pegs
right in there, and it looks like it has
uh a rack there for one of the weapons.
So, the tactical shotgun will go on the
backpack, so he can easily carry all of
his accessories, and that's something
that I like very much. Uh now we have to
look at his nemesis or nemeses. Nemes-
nemesi. Let's look at his nemesi. Uh
we've got some kind of tiger stripe
desert camouflage. Reminds you a bit of
tiger force. Let all the accessories
spill out. Way to go. All right, so it
looks like I lost one of the bladed uh
batons. Uh so, uh yeah, that didn't take
long to uh to make a mistake, but you
know what? That's okay, because this guy
is so elite that he only needs one. You
know, maybe you think this guy is an
army builder. Well, the rest of them may
be army builders, but my guy only needs
one of these bladed batons. Uh not like
those losers that must have two. So,
we've got this um
kind of bullpup rifle here, and it looks
like yes, it has some holes to peg into
the backpack. All right, let's see if I
can get this on here. The the pegs are
small, the holes are small, so
yeah, you got to get them lined up
really well in order for them to work.
But let's see if we can do it. Whoa,
whoa, I Apparently, I can't do it. I'm
not coordinated enough. Uh this sniper
rifle
uh with
Yeah, is that Yeah, a working bipod.
Um it also
uh has pegs. So, let's see if we can peg
this guy on. There we go. That one
works. That one works. I think I was
just doing the other one wrong. We've
got lots of accessories, highly detailed
accessories. We've got some uh really
elaborate
uh
paint and detailing.
Um of course, that's what we expect now
from Delta 17. If you've seen their
other things, you know uh that this is
on par with their uh their usual work.
But, that's not all because we still
have the shiny thing. These little robot
guys were some of my favorites from last
year. And it looks like what they've
done is they've taken the robot guys and
they've made it shiny plastic uh
piece on top to help hold him in
securely. There you go.
And then now you pop him out. And yeah,
this this was one of the things I really
liked about um
the one from last year
is
the sticker sheet. Uh I'm not sure what
stickers I will put
on
my robot guy, but yes, I I do appreciate
this.
On the sticker sheet, they have
a 788.
Yeah, they got it lined up. They got it
lined up to have a 788. I I love these
guys. Thank you. Thank you. It makes me
feel famous. Uh but, check this guy out.
Look at Look at this.
Look at all the reflective surfaces.
Look at the Look at the glean,
gentlemen. Look at the glean.
>> To glean, men.
There's a gleam.
Let's get the gleeman. All right, let's
go.
>> It's like a Cylon
uh or just I don't know, some It's It's
It's like it's own thing, but just shiny
and gorgeous. I was curious about how
the joints would work with the chrome,
but the joints work fine. Uh Uh, no
cracking or anything. The joints are
working great. It's It's a robot. It's a
shiny robot. I mean, do you need to ask
any more than that?
Um, and it's a It's a It's a robot tank.
And if I remember correctly from last
year, you can take this off, and this is
like a regular backpack that you could
put on another action figure. The guns
spin. The we've got articulation at the
head and at the waist. Uh, so like even
though it is a big chunky robot, it's
not a static robot. It moves. It has
articulation. Uh, this These are great.
I just think they're fantastic. That's
our Skystorm unit JF-26. There you have
it, new Delta 17 War in the Shadows.
These will be available at JoeFest in
Augusta, Georgia this weekend. Uh, and
they will be available at retail in
July. But, you don't want to You don't
want to miss You don't want to miss the
shiny robot. You need the shiny robot.
Uh, also, if you go to JoeFest this
coming weekend, you might see me there.
And if you do, say hello. I'll be happy
to see you and happy to talk to you. Uh,
thank you again to Delta 17 for letting
me preview these, and I'm looking
forward to seeing those guys again this
weekend. Thank you very much, and
remember only Delta 17 is Delta 17.
Let's get the gleam. All right, let's
go.
