Haiwaan - Official Trailer | Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan, Boman, Shriya, Saiyami | REACTION!!
Watch on YouTubeVideo summary
The video features a reaction to the official trailer for the upcoming action thriller titled "Hey One," starring Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan. The hosts discuss the premise revealed in the footage, which centers on a blind martial artist played by Boman Irani who is tasked with protecting a young girl from a psychopathic killer portrayed by Akshay Kumar. While the trailer establishes that Saif Ali Khan's character feels unsafe and is investigating the murders, the primary focus of the clip seems to be on the antagonist, leaving viewers curious about the specific nature of the conflict between the detective and the villain.
The commentators express mixed feelings regarding the film's tone and Akshay Kumar's role as a villain. They note that while they are excited to see him break away from his usual comedic persona, there is a concern that the character might be too generic or simply "crazy" without a legitimate motivation. The hosts feel that for the villainy to be effective and authentic, it needs more depth than just being a chaotic force of nature, drawing comparisons to iconic villains like John Wick's Cain or Raman Raghav 2.0's antagonist. They worry that if the character lacks grounded authenticity, the film could fall into the trap of trying too hard to be edgy without delivering genuine scares.
Despite these reservations, the hosts appreciate the serious and grounded atmosphere presented in the trailer, particularly how the sound design emphasizes Saif Ali Khan's perspective as a blind man constantly listening for threats. Although they were hoping to see more demonstration of Akshay Kumar's martial arts skills rather than just scenes of him hiding or acting erratic, they acknowledge that the crime thriller genre is well-suited for the cast. Ultimately, while the trailer did not immediately compel them to rush to the cinema, their support remains strong due to the involvement of the talented ensemble, including Boman Irani and Preity Zinta, and the promise of a dramatic narrative.

Akshay?
>> I I if it's a trailer, I hope so.
>> Um
it's the movie called Hey One.
>> Hey One?
>> Yeah.
So you put
>> Hey One.
>> Not Hawaiian.
>> Hey
One.
>> Okay.
>> So when you try to get your gardener's
attention.
>> Wow.
>> [screaming]
[music]
[laughter]
[music]
>> What's it about?
>> [music]
>> I think Saif isn't feeling safe.
And he's going to hear things and he's
going to react to them and then
I can't
>> Is it all psychological?
>> I
There's a killer. Akshay is the killer,
clearly.
>> Is
>> And then I guess after the number of
murders he's done, he's going after
either Saif or Saif's kid.
>> Or he thinks he is.
Like a
>> And safe's got to stop him.
That's That's all I got.
>> We didn't get a lot from
Akshay in terms of outside of
He's this
He's this crazy killer.
>> Right.
>> So, I'm wondering if it's like
in his head or something like that.
>> I don't think it's I don't think it's a
psychological thriller. I think it's
more just straight-up
Bumman, I think as a detective
trying to catch him.
Yeah, a blind martial artist protects a
girl child from a psychopathic killer.
>> I like Bumman I I don't Maybe I Do we
know that Bumman was in it?
>> I don't remember.
>> It's Preity Zinta Arshad
So, we've seen
good films from him in the past.
Particularly comedy.
Uh cuz he was Hera
>> This Yeah, this doesn't look like
there's any tongue-in-cheek. This looks
like it's a very much straight drama
thriller.
>> Yeah.
I'm still a little confused though like
what the exact I'm not that I need to
know everything, but I'm just
um
I I'm
excited to see Akshay in a villain role.
>> Mhm.
>> Um
I just you know, I wanted to be a little
more than just generic though. Like, you
know,
just some generic like
>> Mhm.
>> Akshay being this I'm hoping it's not.
I'm not saying it is. Like it's just
just
crazy uh
laughs a lot kind of villain.
>> Right.
>> Cuz if those can be fun, but be
authentic.
>> Correct.
>> Then why you're Why are you
>> Right.
>> doing this?
>> Right.
>> Um it needs to have a legit reason
outside of we want Akshay to seem
crazy.
>> Right.
>> He can He can do it.
He's a good actor.
>> Right.
>> Um but I need it obviously to be
I don't want to say I'm not saying
that's what it is. I just I don't really
know what to make of it. It doesn't look
bad, but also I can't really tell if
it's going to be good. Like it's like
one of those like I don't know.
>> Yeah.
>> What do you think?
>> I
I was What I did like, my takeaways are
that I liked that it looked more
grounded than I maybe was expecting it
to be and serious.
Um
I like that it's a crime thriller.
>> Mhm.
>> Um
I think there was
This was very heavy and I think they
accentuated sound obviously because they
want us to be in Safe's world. That's
why we got a lot of his looking around
and listening for things.
>> Mhm.
>> I was expecting in the full trailer cuz
we knew that he is
um
a martial artist.
I was expecting us to see
some semblance of him
being a badass blind martial artist at
some point.
Not necessarily fighting with Akshay,
but at least something that demonstrated
that versus right now we just saw him
hiding most of the time.
>> what he is. Maybe he's not like a badass
martial artist.
>> It's said in the thing before
>> it?
>> It said That's what when we first looked
at the thing. I compared him to Cain
>> That's right.
>> in John Wick.
>> A Daredevil, yeah.
>> Yeah.
>> Daredevil.
>> Um
>> That's right. I forgot about that.
>> Um
>> So, that's I was expecting at least to
see some of that to see how I mean,
obviously he's going to fight.
They made it clear he's in good shape.
Um but it just was a lot of
It was real heavy on just Akshay hearing
things and looking around.
>> Yeah, and I was hoping to get a little
more
>> Me, too.
>> uh from
>> Me, too.
>> what Akshay is going to do outside of
just being crazy,
>> Right.
>> which I'm excited for, but I need
And we said it many times in other films
when like the villain is really just
trying to be the Joker.
>> Mhm.
>> Once again, not saying that's what
Akshay is doing.
But that's what can go wrong with these
types of characters. Everybody, every
actor, every movie wants to have, you
know, the iconic villain.
>> Yeah, but that comes with more
authenticity.
>> Grounded authenticity is much scarier.
>> Yeah.
>> Raman Raghav 2.0.
>> Mhm.
>> That's a scary villain.
>> Yeah.
>> Because that that's a that's a genuine
psychopath.
>> Yeah.
>> Um
and and
>> Once again, not saying actually
>> Yeah, not saying not saying it's not
going to be that, but it's still leaving
a lot of questions of what I'm still
interested in seeing it.
>> Yeah.
>> It didn't necessarily make me want to
show up first show first day, that's for
sure.
>> Yeah.
>> But because it's them and it's Boman and
it looks like
they're trying to do some grounded drama
thriller, I'm very interested.
>> Yeah.
>> And obviously I'm rooting for it.
So
>> What are you doing?
What's he doing here?
>> I don't know.
>> What's his name?
>> I don't remember.
>> The
>> Yeah.
>> He was in the
>> Radio host.
Heartthrob of the
90s 90s
>> 90s heartthrob, okay.
>> Anyways.
>> Let us know what you thought about the
trailer.
>> Yeah.
>> If you're excited for this
>> Yeah.
>> and anything else we need to know, down
below.
>> The biggest, the baddest, wackiest,
