Video summary

The video opens with a somber reflection on the recent passing of Lionel Messi's father and offers condolences to his family following their loss during the World Cup weekend. The conversation quickly shifts to local Kenyan football, highlighting two major disappointments: Gor Mahia failing to win its first CECAFA title after a 41-year wait and the Kenyan women's team being knocked out of the WAFCON tournament early. While the hosts express sadness over these outcomes, they emphasize that in sports, anything can happen, though the lackluster performance by the national ladies' team was particularly surprising given their potential to qualify directly for the upcoming World Cup 2027. The discussion delves into the reasons behind Kenya's struggles and Gor Mahia's loss, focusing heavily on mental preparation and tactical execution rather than just blaming coaches or individual players like goalkeepers. The hosts argue that a weak defensive line often exposes even capable keepers to criticism, suggesting that overall team cohesion is more critical than isolated errors. They also touch upon the financial disparity in women's football, noting how low ticket prices for local matches contrast sharply with international events and lamenting the lack of consistent fan support when teams are not performing well or playing away from home. Beyond domestic issues, the transcript covers significant developments in European club friendlies involving Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal, and Manchester City. The hosts analyze squad rotations during these pre-season games, noting that while friendly matches help identify weaknesses like pace and finishing chances, they do not always reflect a team's true strength under pressure. There is particular concern regarding Manchester City losing Rodri to Barcelona, which could destabilize their midfield engine alongside the departure of Pep Guardiola, as well as doubts about Tottenham's ability to maintain consistency after an injury-plagued previous season despite heavy investment in new players like Tonali and Bruno Fernandes. The video concludes with a look at upcoming local competitions, including Kenya Police's historic victory over Simba SC in Tanzania during the Safaricom Cup final, which broke long-standing records for Kenyan teams abroad. The hosts also preview rugby sevens matches between KCB and Cabras following their performance in Dallas, praising young athletes like Emanuel Kiprono for his recent gold medal win. Ultimately, the segment ends with a call to action for fans to support local women's football more actively and encourages viewers to stay tuned for future episodes featuring upcoming charity matches and social media interactions with the hosts.

All right, good morning. Welcome back. hashtag is still in the morning. Right now, we're just going to switch gears away from uh story music. We're now going to talk about sports matter sports and see which are some of the the stories that have been making headlines throughout the weekend and also part of the last week. Of course, we had the club friendlies. A lot of games were played. Chelsea played two games in a row. Then we had a Manchester United, the Manchester City, Arsenal playing. And of course not forgetting about safagama cup where we had gmaya play against sports in the final really I remember what happened before even the to the safakami cup where I started we played against sports so it was maybe a for a foreshadow of what going to happen but we'll be talking more about that and I'm not only forgetting about the wcon that is still ongoing with our ladies that is the stylist were knocked out but the other teams are just still playing so just want to get to know and give updates on that as well and also talk about uh some of maybe Kenya police versus Simba what transpired and even not forgetting about our very own that is that is Manchester United fans versus Arsenal fans that played during the weekend but right now just want to start by saying even condolences to one of the greatest footballers ever lived in this Leon Messi to his family because he lost his father just of this weekend after 60 he died 68 years of age remember during the World Cup they mentioned they put up a statement that the the father was struggling with some illness. That's why Messi was so emotional during this this tournament. But let's say all prayers go to him and his family maybe get through this tough period well. But right now I just want to welcome the lady in the building. >> Thank you. Thank you James. Maybe what caught your attention with the weekend is it our ladies being showed or is it Gmay? >> Well for for Gaya I didn't anticipate it to go that way but in football anything happens >> but for our ladies I I was sure they pull out something but unfortunately >> Leon had said [laughter] and it happened that way >> but it happens. >> Disappointed. very disappointing because >> the quality that is in the WFCON we are nowhere nowhere around there. the likes of Malawi very position for the remaining four teams so that they can qualify directly to the World Cup that is that will be 27 but what maybe not work for a team maybe is the coach can we blame the coach Belin or >> honestly everyone is blaming Belgian but I cannot blame her because we could see he tried he was tactical she tried she tried did so many things. >> When I when I look at what the other teams are doing, I think uh she had options for goalkeepers. Yeah. >> So, the second goalkeeper apparently was even better than the first, but she was not given a chance. She was just given a few minutes to >> us going back home. That's bad. The other thing is we we went with an unexperienced players >> compared to what is happening those players most of them have not been exposed to such tournaments. I wish before they started this wcon they could have just played friendlies with other teams >> that maybe would would have shown them >> what qualities needed in the wcon. Of course talking about our preparedness before get to the to the tournament. We saw what happened transpired before even we got to the tournament. But can we really say that our ladies are not that mentally prepared for it? Maybe that was the main cause of how we performed in the tournament. >> Yeah, the me being mentally prepared even affects African teams when going to World Cup. So that's a very key thing >> everyone should just work on because mentally if you're not prepared you will not perform. Everything will not work out. You will hit the posts. Mhm. >> Yeah. But when you're prepared, you will fight back even on the last minute and pull something. >> Mhm. >> While we considered some horrendous goals, let's say in the last match that we played against was it Siggo? Yeah, we played against Siggo. Was it Algeria? We played against Algeria. The free kick that we considered. People are talking about the the goalkeeper. People are talking about the our defensive line. Do you think some of these are some of the areas that we should even improve on? Yeah, because we we might also blame the goalkeeper more, but why is the defense exposing the goalkeeper? If the defense is doing its work, the goalkeeper will not be exposed. Because as much as this goalkeeper failed, there are instances she tried and saved. >> But >> having a weak defense will make the goalkeeper look bad. But if the defense were working, as much as the goalkeeper is bad, at least they will uh protect her. >> Yeah. Now talking about of course us having waved goodbye to the tournament but there still teams in the tournament still playing. We have the likes of Malawi they faced Ghana just yesterday Malawi beating Ghana knocking them out of the tournament. Then we had Cameroon against Nigeria. We saw what happened. Cameroon knocking Nigeria out of the tournament. Then Morocco against South Africa. South Africa also being knocked out of the tournament by Morocco. Then I coast against Algeria. Algeria knocking I coast out of the tournament. But what can you say about this tournament so far? Who is maybe who's your favorite to win? >> Especially yesterday's games, they were just absent. >> Cameroon knocking out Nigeria. No one saw that coming. No one saw that coming because Cameroon, personally, what I saw with Cameroon, they they they have a compact team. >> They're tactical. They use their chances when needed. >> They have a good goalkeeper. There's something else I spotted last night. There's a free kick from a lady called Miriam. That's coming from an African team. >> That's rare. >> The other thing, Nigeria tried everything. They tried cuz the first half they they had 14 shots, >> but this goalkeeper was the one that made a difference for both teams. >> Yeah. >> Uh on the other hand, um Malawi Malawi also knocking out Ghana >> was not really anticipated for because I think Malawi has been one of the strongest sides in this tournament. That's interesting cuz remember Morocco because they're going to now semis Morocco and Algeria they've showed they have good quality >> uh they also compact they use their chances they don't make uh small small mistakes but >> I'm waiting to see what Cameroon >> and Malawi will pull out cuz we want to see a different team cuz the last WFCON it was Nigeria versus Morocco And this time around I'm expecting to even see Malawi or Cameroon there. Why not? >> What do you think will happen in the semis? Of course, Algeria facing Malawi. Do you think Algeria can maybe get ahead of that is Malawi really? >> Malawi can try can can even put disqualify Algeria. >> Yeah. But remember this this African Arab countries, >> they they've invested in football. They know what they want. Yeah. So I I still support Malawi and Cameroon. I still believe if they're mentally prepared, they can try pull out something from those matches. >> Yeah. >> Remember what happened in the Afghan as well where we saw these Arab countries versus we were talking about no we don't want this type of Arab countries to win. But now we are going to see Morocco back then we are going to see Algeria versus Malawi which means either way we must have an Arab country. Maybe Morocco but And I'm scared Morocco always get a chance to go to finals and you see any tournament the moment you try and try and try there's all almost a chance there's a chance for them to win this Word. So I don't know if Cameroon can stop them. >> If they can we also will be happy because Morocco going there is a threat. The fact that they are hosting the home ground that gives them even more advantage. Mhm. Yeah. >> Now maybe what can you say about now these four teams getting a direct qualify to the the World Cup? Is it a good lineup for maybe African countries in the World Cup, the women's World Cup 27? >> Yeah. >> According to the the football they are bringing and the quality they have, it's a good lineup. It's a good lineup cuz Cameroon, >> do you know defending a 1 nil lead against Nigeria, it's not for everyone and it's not easy. So with the team that they have with good >> some of the names of course to be had there was Ber from Zambia being the top scorer of the of the tournament which is amazing to see but now we want to see how this semi finals will go maybe which teams will reach the final maybe talk about now let's talk about now the ticket prices I think that was a conversation that we need to talk about it cuz compared to what we had in the World Cup we could find a ticket about even €,000. Now, a ticket for ladies, a game, just a single game, goes for $1.59. Or can you say compare comparing of what men's teams have and both of the women's teams have, >> you know, the honest thing that has always been happening. Most people rule out women football >> and that's why you'd see even the ticketing, it's different. And if you've watched, apart from the Morocco game, >> that's when the stadium is full. M >> but anytime any other team plays it's like they're training >> and that makes us feel bad. So maybe if >> they should consider also when as much as maybe they consider infrastructure and the resources like let's just use a neutral country where [clears throat] people can come in cuz women football no one follows up. Most countries follow up when their team is there but when their team is out they don't follow up. M >> so they can just work on it. Let's support the women teams also >> let's not make them feel as if >> being part of that uh sport is not what they should be doing because that makes it feel that way >> starting from the ticketing to how they being managed it's just different. >> Mhm. >> Okay. Now some of the lessons that we have gotten from the from the tournament so far is we need to score in these tournaments. Maybe what can you say about Mid Church is she's prepared in the under 17 to go to World Cup. Maybe what can you say? Maybe what maybe the key takeaways cuz we have seen what has happened against Belin people coming against her cuz while we perform there maybe what some key takeaways that she could she could use in this preparation from the tournament. Yeah, mild she will just uh prepare these girls by even uh making them do uh friendlies with other big teams because with that you are able to know what we lack and what we should work on. >> Mhm. The other thing is just be tactical because you see in such big tournaments especially world cup >> you might not uh goal scoring opportunities might be less but in just be good at one thing set piece >> when you're good at set piece that's something you can work on you can get a chance and work on but going to a competition and you're you're not good in anything >> makes you >> be at a higher position of losing it. Yeah, because [clears throat] in this we've seen there's competition and there's very stiff competition. So if we can work on under 17s I think they we have a good team with under 17 they are young >> they have the skills so what we might maybe work on Kabisa is just going out for the friendlies >> at least for us we'll know what we need and what to work on >> and of course in the under 17 our bracket I think we'll be facing USA China and also some more do you think these are the teams that can really give us a headache >> USA well USA yes Because if you just uh see USA most of the time particularly maybe women for the senior teams USA have dominated the World Cup more than any other team. So USA since they've they've they have a good team. So >> but I still believe the under 17 can pull out something >> because we've seen the passion they have. >> So that's a a much to look out on. But I still believe with good training the team can >> can beat even the US. >> Yeah. Even score a lot of goals. You have seen what they can do. So we want to see even more from our under 17. Let's say what what's next for Ram talents cuz you failed the tournament but more to come and maybe more to prepare for but for building we don't know what's for for the future what is there next for that is but right now I just want to switch it. Let's look at the originally what happened. Maybe take us through what happened. >> Well, we >> we really wanted to see the trophy in J. >> Yes. We we knew we have a regional uh trophy. >> Mhm. >> Because >> 41 years. >> Imagine that's a very long time. >> So for this uh uh game, you remember Ryan Sports the in the group stages they beat Gmaya 1. Mhm. >> So this was something we we were supposed to come back and show [clears throat] who we are >> but unfortunately things didn't go as planned. >> I don't know what really happened cuz >> Ryan sports compared to Alilal they were not the they're not as >> I remember but it's a good experience compared to Alil cuz Alilal has been quarterfinalist in the the champions the CF champions league which is good to see Gmier beating them. So we anticipated maybe in the final they'll do better but in the first half was not really for Gaya's side. Then in the second half we saw Sharif Musa is again one of the one of that that is a a good a good maybe a a good attacker on Kenyan. >> Yeah. Yeah. Let's call him Kenyan dog because he's been doing amazing this tournament. But maybe what can you say about this team as they are preparing for the league as well as to play in the CF Champions League? Well, to be honest, I don't want to just beat around the bushes. Cuff, >> that's a different story. CF, [clears throat] it's not easy, >> particularly because they've been given pyramids. Pyramids were >> won the cuff recently. So, that is not going to be an easy game. >> But with Sakafa, I believe they've trained and they've seal that is needed. I am praying and hoping they don't make that move of releasing >> uh Sharif because if that happens we are going to have a very polo chogga and sharif >> they are needed somewhere but if they release them we'll have a very big loophole because those are the players you need to bring you back into the game. Yeah, cuz I think I think we saw the sheriff moves a type of influence even the first game that you played. Was it against where you thrashed them five goals then the second game? >> Yeah, the second game he was benched. I think Chelsea can decided to rotate the whole squad. Then we saw what happened. Then against Alilal the influence was there. Even the final he managed to even to collage the game but he went to the extra time where we conceded the second goal. But what can you say maybe compared to what task ahead and what you had maybe got what can you say? So well you see when it comes to squad depth Gormaya had better squad depth compared to what Taska had. >> So that that day I can see also >> Mhm. >> there are days it's it's a bad day in office. You're trying everything and it's not working. The other thing is uh go has so many good players. So at some point it gets hard >> for the coach to balance between who will play, who will not play cuz remember you can als you can't as a coach you can't also ignore the players that made you win the sport league and say because of the we just work with the new signings you have to interchange and see who fits here who fits there. So I'm I'm thinking by the time we get to CF Champions League >> the coach will have now understood this will be my first team. I will just work with this and this will be my subs >> because now that's where I think that's where the miscommunication and errors comes in but the coach is doing a wonderful job >> compared to >> what we have seen >> he's okay his technical bench is also working so yeah >> so it's maybe a bad day in the office for the >> yeah things didn't work out that the other thing is and I always say that and that's why even the wafon I believe Morocco can still win this because when you have home advantage you have your supporters there full >> that's something that pushes you and you know this is my I'm going to win this and you'll work with the support you see when and that's why I I'm always saying if you're mentally prepared such things will not affect you but if you're not mentally prepared it affects you it brings down your momentum and the team that is home >> when they have high momentum they always find a way of just coming back and winning the game >> of course now Gay, we want to see them in the league, back in the league. But what can you say about their counter brothers that is the FC Lopas? Maybe maybe they should work even more hard so that you can test some of these tournaments, even get out of the country for once. >> Well, y in fact fans were saying they the only Kenyan team that has dominated the cup for long. in the 1990s they won like five times if they don't do good [laughter] >> just sign young players >> because if you don't do that to be honest with the squad depth that Gurmaya has they will still dominate the league >> so they just need to do proper signings >> I've seen they they've been doing friendlies in Nakuru the other day >> that's good preparation also we might also be and are estimating them but they are preparing that they started their pre season before anyone else they went to camp and that's good because we need competition because if you allow Gormma again to dominate >> it it's not even enjoying but when we see mashi dabby and we see this one wins the other one draws we we as fun we fans we are happy and excited >> so we want to bant a lot >> yeah we want to b so please as much as you you are happy >> gormaya didn't win the saf Don't forget on training and working on your team [clears throat] because >> and don't forget about the league you >> Yeah because that's what that's what happened the other league they forgot their match they were focusing on what go did then a PST beat them and that's where they lost it so let's focus focus on what your team is doing focus on Kalo cuz Kalo is ready for any competition >> I think now teams are getting ready we saw Shabbana even after they get they got the new coach they even getting ready preparing also let's They talk about task as well preparing Julian Met. We saw what they can do with this in the Kagame not really good but let's say what can let's hope they can do better in the confederation cup compared to what Nero United did. But now talking about C champions league we had Kenya police there they did not perform good. So we want to see Gaya even do better than what they did last season. Now talking about that is Kenya police KP what they played against Simba. Can you take us maybe through through the game and also maybe what happened through the game? So, uh, Kenya police were playing with the giants of Tanzania and >> can you really call them giants really? Cuz I think in the in the Sakafaga Gam Cup they don't really show up >> in their country. Yeah, they are giants because that day they were in Uhuru Stadium Tanzania they were celebrating 90 years of Simba. [laughter] They even brought a lion to the stadium. But Kenya police as a Kenyan team showed them >> it's your day but we have the final say you know beating Simba is not for everyone >> on the 92nd minute Kenya police scored extra time and that's brilliant because no Kenyan team has managed to beat Simba >> and that is something like that is something we should not >> dispute because >> that's it broke the headlines I think no one believed and that's why I'm telling you when you're mentally prepared Nothing will stop you. Those fans, the lion, nothing stops Kenya police from beating Simba. So that means if Kenya police can beat Simba, any other team in Kenya should go there and say we are going to beat you. >> Yeah. And I was shocked even in Sakafa how they were eliminated. For me, my worry was I was even telling my >> do you think maybe maybe releasing Baja was one of the weak points? One of the badest decision they ever made. >> Of course that that was a bad mistake. Why would you release such a player? Mhm. >> Because he made a difference in their squad. >> He won them a cup. He won the tournament. I don't remember the name of the tournament, but he won them before he even got out of the of the of the squad before he were released. He was doing amazing after the injury. You know, he struggled with the injury before the CH and even after a period after the the CH tournament, but after that I think he was playing amazing for Simba. Even we saw what he can do in the Ramb Star. He's a key player. So, and I I've seen he's been training with Kenya police and I'm telling you if Kenya police take that as part of their team >> cuz remember Kenya police won the league in 2025 so they still part of uh teams that you'll predict the favorites. >> Yeah, the favorites. So Kenya police is a good team and if they can we we rarely talk about Kenya police. We are always talking about FC United but Kenya police is a good team. Mhm. >> So we are yet to see the better side of them because no one also expected they'd beat Simba. >> So yeah, this league this time around will be competitive. >> Maybe. Who do you think will be the favorites to win the league this time around? Is it will it be Kenya police cuz remember Kenya police will not be playing any any type of C champ that is C tournament. They just be focusing the all focus on the league and maybe the domestic cup like that is the Mazad B cup. Maybe what do you think Kenya police will finish up this season? They'll be top >> because I'm telling you there's competition because we have Patrick Osim the new Nairobi coach. Nairobi United are also a team you should watch out on. >> Mhm. >> Nairobi United is still there. >> Mhm. >> There's GMA here. >> There's FC Lopads >> and there's Kenya police and Tasa. >> Don't forget about the noise makers. Shabana >> those makers. You see the noise makers. We've not been seeing so much of them. Last season they were not there. So I I am not even anticipating them to do well >> because the competition that is hereh not for noise. >> Yeah. >> Now maybe really quickly before now let's get out of football a little bit. Maybe talk about the capab that has happened. We saw what happened in Dallas. So what happened before that? So what can you say maybe anticipating 15th to 16th August? What what can you you want to see? Maybe KB rugby coming back and maybe showing what they can do cuz they were frustrated in the Dallas 7s. >> For sure KCB will want to respond. They >> I think they were disrespected a lot. Yeah. >> They will have to respond. The thing is Cabras I'm worried about Cabras because Kabras most of their players they were using their under 20s they [clears throat] traveled in Uganda for the under 20's championship. So I don't know if Cabras have an other option because if you don't have any other option Mambas the Mambas are training so hard they want to prove a point. They are saying they dominate sevens. So I don't know what will take place. >> But I believe Kablas has also a good team. So it will be a competition between the two. Cabras will want to take it for a second time. But with KBC the qualities they have especially having the sevens players >> it's going to be a match to watch out on. So I'm expecting uh also all Kenyans to show up at >> RF EUA >> on the 15th and 16th. >> Now maybe you talk about maybe uh that is Kenyalans. I think people don't don't really uh don't really focus on Kenya but they did well in Dallas. Yeah. Maybe they can do even better in the Cab. >> Yeah. And also Menai Oilers getting to the finals with also a young team. I still believe they have quality. I believe that people are now realizing the young team is the secret to to get because of the pace because of the energy that they do. >> Yeah. Because you see seven that's all you need skills, energy and space. Even >> getting to uh in Dallas, we were able to see that even experience will not win you anything. But if you have the energy, >> pace and skills, you're good to go. And we also getting to see that from the Kamba ladies. >> They have not been in this competitions. They don't know what happens but they coming they're coming in and dominating. >> Yeah. >> Now for the ladies maybe in the capab this time or this Jamba again >> to be honest you can never rule out Mamba because >> if you compare how they played in Prince Los Nakuru and Dala >> I think really really >> seeing what did they went and worked on their skills. So what they giving now is the skills >> and the experience and you see that is a killer >> this other team they don't have the levels that Momba have. >> So Mamba now when they play with Kamba they know we are playing with people who can disqualify us so they play well. >> Mhm. >> So if these other teams don't train well Mumba will still dominate. >> Yeah of course >> no one could stop them. >> No one could stop them. Of course, we saw what they can do in these type of tournaments, but we want to see maybe for the ladies and even for the women, for the men's side, for the division one, division two, want to see which team will emerge to be the champions as well as to even the runners up and even who gets more points. Want to see the better, want to be entertained in general, want to be entertained, even talk about this type of entertainment. But now switching back to football, we saw a lot of friendlies being played. Now internationally, we saw friendlies touch on a little bit of Arsenal there. We saw against Real Bettis what happened and even in the Emirates Cup against mood what happened. What can you say about maybe even getting the new signing that is Bruno G then preparing for this upcoming season? Can you really go back to back with the the mode that you're playing right now? >> Well, talking about Arsenal, the champions of England. >> Mhm. Um, when you see the game they played against Real Bettis, >> friendlies are good because it's where you'll see your weakness and where your strengths come from. So, in that game, we we were just using most of our academy players, if not all. >> And we saw players like Max Dorman showing up. >> Mhm. >> We saw a player like um Goku not showing up how we expect him to. I don't know. And I feel so bad because >> most of overrated players end up not giving you what you expect because now Arsenal the honest truth is we don't Venicious Junior was just a PR thing because we don't really need him. We don't really need him. We need a backup for Saliba. You know Saliba got an injury and he will be out for like 6 months or more. So Mosquera is not we saw even in the finals of the >> the Champions League against >> PSG the mistakes he made. >> Mhm. >> We need backup there. >> Mhm. >> We get a new striker. >> For Bruno Gumarez uh he's a defensive midfielder. So >> do you think he's better? Can he can do better than bey. So that that was a good signing that I can applaud that. The other thing as Arsenal as much as I am trying to justify we were using our our normal [clears throat] players, not our normal players, the other thing we should work on is the pace >> when you're behind. >> Uhhuh. >> Yes. >> Mhm. Get into those pockets and even even being able to finish those chances that you create. talking about other teams of course Chelsea played against Milan before that they played against Juventus then yesterday just yesterday they did a friendly against a Malaysia team but what can you say about Shab Alons of what you have been seen in Chelsea do you think they are really preparing for the season well >> well the because compared to the games they playing I feel me I love friendlies so I can say Chelsea are preparing >> I don't want to overestate them so much but I Don't underrate them. And that's good preparation. Everyone might say you're getting knocked out, you're not winning, you're conceding, but >> that's preparing. You already know what we'll work on. You already if if it's changing your tactics, you you're able to change that on time. So Chelsea are just doing well. And the other thing is Chelsea have even a better chance because they won't be focusing on so many competitions. So that's a better time to even work on your team and understand this is our weakness. This is our strength. >> Mhm. >> Yeah. Now talk about Manchester United maybe getting Andre Santos from Chelsea. They played against that is PSG the other day. They managed to get a draw against PSG. They had played against Atletico Madrid. They managed to win that game against Atletico Madrid. Do you think Manchester United has reached a point where we can say the Red Devils are back? >> A pleased [laughter] even know Man United against PSG they were playing team C. >> Mhm. not the first team because the first team of PSG Man United cannot beat them. So Man United the thing we are going to get we are this is now the perfect time to know where Man United are. Remember as much as Chelsea didn't do well Chelsea were in Champions League and in any competition that Man United were not in. So can Man United >> be able to play under pressure because you're going to be in all competitions and when you're in all competitions that's when you can know this is a good team. Mhm. >> what has been doing you know if Carrick can undergo the pressure at undergone then we can say the Red Devils are back but if not so if they'll they were playing just one game in a week >> so they cannot even be compared to what Chelsea were doing >> so >> let's relax it's >> maybe what some maybe some areas that they can maybe strengthen maybe talk about the their defense their line of defense with Landro Martinez struggling with the likes of injuries. We have Maguire. Maguire not really a person to depend on the Champions League to play for you for the league to play for you in the the domestic cups. Then um let's say Luke Shaw. Luke Shaw is one even struggling the the injuries. I talk about replacing Casemiro as well as Rashford is back in the team. What can you say? >> So well for you see for Man United I'd say they the their squad depth >> is [clears throat] there but you see still when you're playing competition you have to have options. cuz you cannot put if you if they decide uh like a player like uh Bruno Fernandez to play all competition without stopping that's another way of inviting injury. >> So they should also do signings more signings because they will lead those players >> more. >> Mhm. >> So their defense has always not been the best. They should also invest in the defense because >> the competition we are going to face there is not the competition they were used to. >> So they should just work on managing the squad there. >> I even tap in the the market and even get a center midfielder that is a CDM or even a center back. But now talking about some of these teams you have a Rodri getting out of Manchester City going to join Barcelona very soon I believe. What can you say about the Manchester City without Rodri? You saw what they played against yesterday. They managed to win the game against Atletico Madrid. D1. Was it something to say? Okay, it's a good performance from Enzo Maris and this if they is going to play in this sort of way, he might have a chance to win the league even to play good in the Champions League as well. >> Might is a good word still. >> Mhm. >> Cuz I I felt Man City should have not released Rodri. >> That was a very tricky move because already we are scared. Pepe is no more. >> Mhm. >> With Rodri. They were saying they still have a good midfield as an engine there that will >> at least create some good chances, but they don't have that. >> And to be honest, >> we know friendlies, most teams don't use their their first team. >> They're just using the other team to get to see what what they have and what they should work on. So Man City, I feel Man City, they might struggle before getting back to their feet >> because of course Enzoesa will not give us what Pep did and Enzareska was still part of Chelsea and we saw it get to a point where he was just dull. He doesn't he doesn't know what to do now. He's So for Man City, >> it's going to be a hard season for them, especially for Harland be why why did you even sign for all those years? That's that's yeah so we we are yet to see what they are going to give us but I am not putting so much high expectations on man city >> but want to see what will happen not forgetting about I think it's one of the top six that has not been talked talked about in the recent years because their performance you saw what happened the 2023 was it 25 to 24 season what happened they managed to finish number 17 the season before they managed to finish down under 10 positions. But what can you say about Tutenham? Do you think they really prepared this enough this for this season upcoming season? Desabi, you seen some of the signings that he made strengthening the midfield, getting the likes of Tonali from Newcastle, even getting the likes of Bruno F was it Bruno I'm not Fernandez from West Ham that is the midfielder then getting sessi getting Robertson they played well against Chelsea. What can you say? So Tottenham already had the scare of going to relegation. So they really had no option but to getting good players because the other thing we've been seeing with Tottenham they always start with a good debut on the starting of the season but end bad because of injuries. Most of their players I don't know what happens they get injured like almost all on the same time and that's where they fumble. So they might be the dark horses of this Premier League. Mhm. >> They will. I I'm expecting them to start well. >> Mhm. >> So, yeah, >> want to see what will happen. Just a quick update here. I'm seeing a youngster Emanuel Kiprono won gold in the under 20 championship in the 3,000 m. Amazing thing to see in the athletics as well. They are going on for the under 20 World Cup for the athletics. But right now, we're just going to finish up at their amazing conversation. We want to see what will happen more even waiting for this season. Of course, preparing for the was it commun community. Yeah. >> Mhm. You want to see what do you think will happen in that game? Do you think we'll win? >> We have to win. >> Like I I I don't think there's no option. [clears throat] We have to win because we have to start the season on a good lot. >> So I don't know last week most of our players like Saka they were still on holiday. >> Yeah. They're still on holiday. I'm expect I don't >> I think this week everybody's be back with their team. The holiday ends today this weekend. >> Oh, so I'm expecting the whole team to be here. >> But still because we are always last minutes, we still need to get signings for backup saliba and your we need >> so that can see what will happen again. Manchester City even preparing for the new league. But right now just going to close it. Make sure you stay tuned cuz just coming up. But I just want to give a quick opportunity to mus on social media. Before I tell you where you can get me, I just want to tell and I'm a new fan yesterday. >> It's okay. The other thing is useful. Useful. Please don't ever tell any players they don't know how to play because whatever useful did yesterday one v one with the goalkeeper and you cannot score. The chance was too close yet too far. >> The thing with Arsenal, I don't know where we went wrong with penalties. There is always one person who will do what Gabrielle Mangales did in in the finals of Champions League. There's always even with fans. Imagine we cannot win in penalties. I don't know who cast that. >> But let's say it's a good thing to see cuz we have we [clears throat] have seen a lot of these matches even out there. uh maybe even in England we've seen this type of charity matches being played where we have the YouTube creators play against Tik Tok creators that sort of charity matches which is which is something that is a culture that is growing in Kenya we've seen Manchester United fans playing against Arsenal fans so we want to see Chelsea fans play against Manchester United fans that can so that the noise can be really >> we want our local we want to see Gaya fans and fans oh my I think that will be one of the most brutal matches they played >> but something good to comment about even what sport is doing let's say it's a good thing to see even broadcasting some of these matches something amazing see but finishing up social media >> you can get me on all social media platforms at Robel TV apart from YouTube which is Robel TV 202 [clears throat] >> okay amazing for me personally you can get me at James all social media James but Don't go anywhere cuz Bran Saka is just coming up in just a few minutes with an amazing conversation. So, make sure you don't miss that. But for now, adios. [music]
