Video summary
This training session introduces Google Classroom as a vital tool for students attending classes remotely or in an e-learning mode, ensuring that those unable to be physically present can still access education effectively. The primary goal of the platform is to centralize all academic activities, including live sessions, assessments, attendance tracking, and course materials, into one accessible location. Participants are instructed on the necessary prerequisites for joining these virtual classes, which include having a compatible device with internet connectivity, using their official college Gmail account registered under their full name, and keeping digital or physical notes ready during the session to stay engaged with the lecture content.
The tutorial provides step-by-step guidance on how to access Google Classroom via web browsers on computers or by downloading the app on mobile devices like phones and tablets. Once logged in, students learn that they must manually join each course individually using unique class codes provided in their schedules rather than being automatically enrolled for all subjects simultaneously. The interface is broken down into three main sections: Stream, which hosts announcements regarding cancellations or schedule changes; Classwork, where students find downloadable PDF notes, lecture videos posted before 3 PM daily, and assessment details; and People, which lists the instructor, admin, and classmates. Assessments are divided into midterm and final exams totaling 100 marks, with specific patterns varying by faculty but generally consisting of multiple-choice questions or written answers submitted on time to avoid penalties.
Strict attendance rules are emphasized for online learners to ensure academic integrity and credit eligibility. Students must remain logged in for a minimum duration of forty minutes per session; logging out earlier will result in the system marking them as absent regardless of their intention to attend. Attendance is tracked by course and session rather than daily, meaning students need not be present every single day but must meet the time requirement within each scheduled class block. Additionally, participants are encouraged to join a main audio channel for important announcements and weekly mentoring calls held on Thursdays at 8 AM IST, which offer interactive discussions relevant to ministry topics that all student modes should participate in.
The session concludes with clarifications regarding administrative queries, such as how married students may attend on-campus classes for limited periods like one semester if their family situation permits, though this is not a standard option for everyone. Instructors address technical issues faced by some viewers during the live demonstration and assure that recorded sessions will be available later for those who missed parts of the broadcast or experienced connectivity problems. The training ends with an invitation for further questions before transitioning to a separate e-learning specific session scheduled shortly after, reinforcing the institution's commitment to supporting students across all learning modes through consistent communication and accessible resources.

Okay, good morning everyone. How are you
doing all today? Everybody's okay. Okay.
Um, so we welcome those who have joined
online today and uh we are glad that we
could meet again. So today as we know we
will have the training and it's a Google
classroom and e-learning. So first half
we will be doing uh on Google classroom
and second e-learning. So now uh we have
on campus students as well. So most of
you it may not be applicable online and
e-learn especially e-learning but what
we request is uh it's better to listen
maybe in future if you would like to
switch from on campus to online or on
campus to e-learning e-learning to
online to on campus so it'll be helpful
is that okay so make sure you note it
and most of us uh maybe second year and
third year they are already aware but
this is uh we are doing for so mostly we
are doing for the first years so shall
we But are we ready? It's little bit of
technical not spiritual but also we need
to know uh so that we can learn about
the spiritual right. These are the modes
and the the platform we have. So let me
just share the recording. Good morning
Bat. Uh okay hope the online student you
can see it. Is it visible? Uh I'm not
able to see if you could just unmute and
say that would be helpful. Uh
>> yeah it is. Yes.
>> Okay. All right. Thank you. Thank you so
much. Okay. So let's get started. So
this is the training guide for the
virtual classes. It means the Google
classroom. So we will make it crisp.
Okay. So why we are doing this? So this
is um the learn from home. So it's easy
mode. So most of us they cannot come
here and study. uh but this is the
reason that we have made it and the
Google classroom is our uh the best
friend for those who are online and uh
so so that you can access everything in
a remotely and also the track everything
in one place uh the the class the
classes the assessments and the
attendance and all your live classes
maybe those who are on campus you can
just refer to uh the presentation so
that will be helpful and in between if
you would like to ask questions you can
or or or in the end we will uh keep some
time for the Q&A. So what you need
before you start the first the very
first thing is yes of course you need
one device uh or internet the device
could be your computer your laptop your
phone iPad or tab anything and with a
good internet connection okay is that
okay? Yes. The second thing is your
Gmail account. So what we encourage is
uh use your full name exactly as given
in college record. So you remember now
um during your filling up the form the
application you have given the Gmail
account. So we request you to give the
same Gmail account uh so that it's easy
to uh track uh from the admin side and
also it will be helpful for us. And also
another thing is the name. So when you
keep the name make sure the name is your
official name and uh please do not keep
any other name so that it'll be easy for
us to track along. Is that okay? Am I
too fast or too slow? Just let me know
so that I can uh just track my pace. And
yeah, third is the notebook and pen. So
make sure when you are joining uh you
have a notebook pen or maybe you can use
your computer the tab anything so that
as you are listening you will be able to
um just make notes as well. How to join
the classes? Uh so one more thing I
would like to uh the clarify. So I we
are just doing the presentation and
right after that we will have the
demonstration. So I'll be taking you
through the Google classroom uh so that
what are the things we have what are the
sections and all of that and everything
will be clarified. So yeah first thing
we need so those who are joining through
uh the laptop or the computer the so we
have only one option and that is uh
>> oh
>> uh so that is we have to browse it the
classroom.google.com google.com and
those who have those who have the phone
or the iPad or the tab for you have the
option to download. So if you just go to
the app store or play store you can just
download it uh by saying uh you you can
just type in the Google classroom and it
will pop up and that's how you'll be
able to download and do that and as we
mentioned the sign in with the Gmail the
same Gmail account which we have the
record in college and click the join and
repeat for all the courses. So we will
be doing this uh the demonstration. So
some of the few things that uh you we
have to keep it in mind attending live
classes uh just be early those who are
joining online. So just be early uh so
that you are ready for the class maybe 2
minutes prior to that and join the
Google link. So basically what happens
is our faculty in everyday basis they uh
post the Google link and you just have
to click it and get into the class and
uh remember when you join the class uh
mic and camera uh so the mic you have to
unmute and the camera you have to switch
off and what we encourage is if you have
the good atmosphere where there is no
much of disturbance and you are stable
then you can just switch on your camera
and that's absolutely fine but if that
not so much then you may have to switch
off and listen to that. And to ask
question, you can use chat or also you
can unmute your mic and ask the
question. Important rules. Um be
respectful when the person is speaking.
So let's imagine if the person if the
Sam is speaking then you might have to
wait until he finish and once he's done
then again you unmute and you ask the
question. So yeah and this is the most
important if you could just see the
attendance matters right. So this is the
important thing that we would like to
enforce. So the 85% of attendance is a
very important. So uh just to let you
know that it's uh we don't take uh the
attendance as day wise but we take
attendance as a course wise at the
session wise. So what I mean to say is
uh if we have uh three sessions in a day
then we will be tracking your attendance
three sessions three classes. So it's
not a per day I'm just repeating it's a
course wise it's a uh the session wise
okay and another important thing is the
50 minutes rule. So those who are
attending online for them you must
attend at least 40 minutes uh to get the
get your attendance to credit your
attendance. So it's not 30 minute uh 30
minutes or 35 but make sure 40 or above
uh if you uh attend less than 40 minutes
then it won't be count as attendance so
it will count as absent. So so remember
this is uh the 40 minutes is the rule
and you have to attend at least 40
minutes and above and uh so the
assessments and the test uh so it comes
uh the assessment it comes under the
classwork section. So again we will be
demonstrating uh I'll be I'll be doing
that and uh second is the submit on
time. So whenever you get assessment uh
you make sure to um just submit before
the due date. Let's imagine the due date
is August 15 then make sure you are
finishing and submitting before the due
date. So please keep on eye and track on
so that you won't miss and once you miss
then you may have to repeat your go
whole course again. Well, here's the
need and help. If you have if you need
any help or query you have, then you can
uh just email us adminapcible.org
or for the quick sake you can call us
and this is our number and uh also we
will be posting this uh uh the session
in the YouTube channel so you you'll be
able to see it. Okay. Uh so we just
finished the presentation. So are you
ready for the demonstration? Okay. I
felt I was too fast. Hope I was not. Is
that okay? Okay. So, online students, is
that okay? All fine. Okay. Great.
So, let me just share my screen. Uh can
you see my screen? Yes. Yes. Right. So,
as we stated, so the very first thing
what we need to do is first we need to
go to the Google classroom uh the
classroom.google.com.
And uh once you click that, this is how
um the page will be. And once we get in
here, we may have to sign in to the
class room. So here it'll ask you either
email or phone phone number. So what we
request you can just uh just insert your
email and that's absolutely fine. And
once you email it, you may have to give
your password for that. Uh wait a
minute. uh online stream you let me know
if I'm too fast. I actually can't see
the screen. Uh brother, it's just a
blank black screen for me. Is it
>> okay? How about others? Are you able to
see?
>> It's fine for us.
>> Yeah, it's fine. We are able to see
that.
>> Okay. Uh Sister Norton is maybe if
you're not able to see now, we will be
posting it. Uh so you will be able to
access. Yeah. So once you sign in, this
is how you will this is how the
dashboard will be. So So it's going to
be like this. Can you see this?
>> Hello. Yeah. Okay. Yes. So the very
first thing see I have already enrolled
for this course. So what we need to do
is so once you sign in it will be blank
completely blank and only you can you
would be able to see is this plus button
and all these icons. So the very first
thing what we need to do is uh hope you
every you all have received uh the
schedule right? Have you re Yeah. Have
you received the schedule?
>> The schedule was sent to the email.
Yeah. Yes. We yeah we have emailed we
have already emailed and you must have
received this. So now what we are going
to do is the very first thing uh just
give me a moment. So once you come this
page so you will you you will be able to
see this plus button and so we have here
two option. One is join class one is
create class. So just join the class and
you can just copy paste or maybe you can
type in and once you do this so this is
how the class will be seen and for the
demo check what we are going to do is so
I'll be taking the your schedule so this
is the first year courses and we will
take the BC 101 which is minister's
foundation uh instructor Selena Muana
and this is the Google class code and if
you see for all the courses we have the
unique class code so are you able to see
all all of them Okay. So what we need to
do is first you you can copy it or maybe
you can just type it and again you can
come to this home section the plus
button join the class and uh you can
type you can just type in your code and
it will take you to the classroom. See I
have enrolled for this course now. So
basically what we need to do is for all
the courses we have to do it one by one.
So again for the second course which is
al test estimate survey again you can
just copy it or maybe you can type it.
It's absolutely up to you. Uh again just
join the class insert the code and uh
join. So is it clear? So this is how you
have to do it for all the all your
courses. Hope this is fine. Okay great.
So now let's come to the class. So the
Google classroom room demo class. So we
have here total three sections. One is
stream, other one is the classwork and
the people. So the stream page what
happens is in daily basis our faculty or
instructor they post the announcement uh
if you could just see here uh dear
students good morning please join the
class using the link below and the link
you will find it here. So in daily basis
what happens you just uh you just have
to track your schedule and uh after that
uh you'll be able to see all this you
just have to come the come to the same u
the course and you'll be able to see all
this u the announcement and also let's
imagine if the faculty uh unfortunately
uh he's not able to come or she's not
able to come then they may uh again the
post like the class has been cancelled
or Maybe we will start a little late.
All of the uh the announcement you'll be
able to see in this section. So all
about this and the second thing is the
classwork. So the classwork this is the
main uh section for for you all those
who are online and on campus. So what
happens is like you'll be able to see a
bunch of sections here the points here.
So it's a student guidelines and this I
think this is for the on campus and also
the course material. So the course
material what happens is here um you
will be able to see all the notes which
are provided from our uh provided uh by
our faculties. So if you come to the
course materials then you just click it
here and once you click you will have
the PDF soft copy and you can download
for those who are online you can
download and use the uh PDF form. So
this is the course node for all the
section you'll be able to see if you if
if you go to the M's foundation. Yeah,
even here they have already posted.
Okay. And uh the second option is the
lecture video. So the lecture videos
what happens in daily basis what we do
uh all the faculty they uh record all
the sessions and u maybe before 3 p.m.
we do post in the Google classroom so
that uh if you have missed it or if you
would like to watch it again the
sessions you will be able to uh do that.
So, so if you could see a lecture
videos, uh, so we have this old videos.
If you click it, it will take you to the
YouTube and you will be able to uh watch
them. So far, is it clear? Okay. And the
last the last part is is the midterm uh
the midterm assessment and the final
assessment. So it's about the exam. So
most of uh them ask like how the exam
patterns are. So basically we have only
two uh so we have mostly we have uh the
two assessment the first is the midterm
and second is the final and each
assessment carries 50 marks and uh the
the exam patterns are the optional it's
a multiple MCQ and some of them and
again it depends the faculty to faculty
some of them they prefer to give uh the
long question to answers so so this is
how it is but uh remember the midterm
and the final we have and also uh some
faculty they give the four assessment
and all of them will be 25 marks each.
So it depends again faculty to faculty
but you just follow along and just track
the classwork then you will be updated
for all this notification and the last
one is the people uh in the in the the
people section you'll find one is the
instructor the admin and also the
classmates. So if you could just see
here who all have join who who all have
joined this classes. So you'll be able
to see and this is the admin uh the the
part. Yeah, I think this is all about it
from our side. If you have any questions
you can ask and we are happy to answer
you.
>> Good morning pastor.
>> Yeah, good morning uh brother.
>> Yeah. So I'm like last year I studied uh
through online. So this year I wanted to
convert into you know e-learning mode. I
have sent the mail also.
>> So now like I'm trying to log in for e
e-learning portal not able to do it.
>> Okay. So brother so right after that we
will have the e-learning walk through
e-learning training so I think that
would be helpful for you and we will do
from the scratch onwards.
>> Thank you.
>> Yeah. So is that okay? Yeah sure. Any
more questions please maybe on campus as
well maybe you can unmute and so have a
question from Laxmi Bahra.
Okay. So I have a question. I want to
complete the 4-year course if in the
future and I have an opportunity you'll
be able to join the on campus. Uh sure
ma'am please go ahead. Thank you.
>> Yes. Um thank you Lakshmi for the
question. Uh you are most welcome to
attend the on campus mode at any point.
uh but here at the Bible college we give
that um option only for those who are
unmarried because uh if one is married
they will have to leave family for a
very long duration to be on campus uh
which we don't think is a good thing uh
for any family. So uh at the most one
semester would be considered but uh not
more than that. So we may consider a
married individual for just about a
semester uh at any given point during
their uh course duration. I hope that
clarifies things for you. Please let me
know. Thank you.
>> Yes. Thank you ma'am. Okay. Anyone else
please? Any questions from on campus?
Okay. Um okay. So Christie u regarding
the e-learning attendance. Uh so is that
okay if we answer right after the right
after the this class this session so we
will have the e-learning um the the
training session so is that okay so as
of now we are just covering up for the
uh Google classroom okay thank you thank
you Christie it seems like all clarified
uh we'll wait for some time and if there
are no questions then we'll wind up
>> good morning I have a question
>> uh yes uh
Sal.
>> Yeah. Is there a way that we can check
our own attendance any mid semester?
>> Uh, sorry. Come again. Uh, could you
come again please? I didn't get you.
>> Uh, is there a way that we can check our
own attendance?
>> Uh, not not really. So the attendance
only admin team can check and also what
we do what we will do from this time. So
we will be sending you in the mid of sim
your attendance uh the record so that
you can just follow along but from the
student side yes uh no you won't be able
to track them.
>> Okay thank you.
>> Yeah no problem. Okay so are we able to
get the PDF of all the videos? Yes. Yes.
uh Robert uh you will be able to get the
PDF form for all the courses the course
note and also you'll be able to get uh
all the videos lecture as well. So in
daily basis we we will be posting before
3 p.m. and you can just come to the
Google classroom you can go to the
classwork and that's how you'll be able
to access. Okay sir I have not but
regarding the course password uh which
I'll send okay
>> uh could I take this up?
>> Sure ma'am. Uh yes, Teresa, thank you
for letting us know. Uh the email has
been sent to you because we checked it
yesterday. Uh kindly check in your spam
folder. It probably has landed there.
And uh we have not provided um Okay.
Yeah. So kindly check and uh do let us
know if you still have any issues. Um
and if you still have then we will try
and help you out. I hope that helps.
Thank you.
>> Yeah. And also we we will be uh posting
the lecture videos I the session for
this this one so that you can just take
admin uh Gmail account or maybe the the
phone you can just call us and we are
happy to help you on campus first year
it's all okay right I mean you got it uh
those yes yes that's correct that's
correct yeah on the Google classroom so
so everything will be coming in the
classwork section so Yeah, everything
will be in the Google classroom. All the
activities. Yeah, sorry. Uh yes, all of
that we have uh we have already sent.
Maybe you can just check your spam spam
folder once and if not then we will send
you again. Yeah, sure. Okay. Any more
questions please? Uh hi brother John.
Yeah sure. We will look into it. Um
okay. Yeah sure. Thank you brother John.
We will look into it. Thank you. Right
after the session we will just do the
needful. Yeah. Um okay. It seems all
clear. Uh Pastor Nancy, uh is there
anything to uh share or what do you
suggest?
>> Um I think it's fine. Maybe we can just
do another run through and demonstrate
how to join all over again. Maybe one
quick run through and then we'll close
if that's fine with you.
>> Okay ma'am. So it's about the Google
classroom or Okay. Okay. Sure. So we can
do it one more time as person suggested.
Okay, sure we can do that. So let me
just share the screen first. I hope
you're able to see my screen. Uh so
we'll just do the quick uh quick run
through one more time. Um so once you
open your browser so the very first
thing what you need to do is uh just
type it the classroom.google.com
and so as I have already signed in so
it's directly taking me here. So once
you sign in uh this is how the interface
look like it looks like and uh to join
all the courses. So what we need to do
is if you could see here we have the
plus button and also some icons. So this
is the main uh button that we have and
once we click this uh it says the join
class and also the create create class
and we we hope that you have already
received uh you have you have already
received all your schedule and we have
given all the unique codes for all the
courses. So basically what we need to do
is uh we just have to come here join the
class the class code you just have to
paste it or maybe type it and once we do
that it will take us to uh our homepage
and this is your subject BC 108 and the
Holy Spirit so hope this is fine and as
we stated so stream page you'll be able
to see all your announcements your link
and also faculty what they post. So on
once it's done and the classwork section
uh so I think better I can demonstrate
this one. So once we come to the
classwork section uh so here we will be
able to see some of the sections the
course materials the lecture videos and
also the exams. Um so the course
materials uh as we stated so you will be
able to find the PDF form as online
student we provide the PDF form. So for
all the courses we will be posting and
we have already posted uh the PDF form
of your course. So just you you just
have to simply go and you can download
and that's how you'll be able to access
and what we do request is if you would
like to get a print out then you can do
that as well. So just uh just take the
download it and you can just print out
and once we are done then lecture videos
again the lecture videos u as we have
stated all the lecture videos you'll be
able to see here the lecture under the
lecture video you'll be able to see all
the lecture videos and again the the
exam pattern. So we have the midterm and
the final. So the midterm is the 50
marks and again final is a 50 marks. So
it's 100 all all together it's 100 marks
and we have mentioned for some faculty
they give four assessment and uh each
assessment will carry the 25 each 25
marks and altogether it will be 100. So
hope that's clear. Uh yeah sure uh pass
Nancy anything specific uh you would
mean you want me to do it? Um maybe we
can mention about the attendance
requirement that students have to be in
class for a duration of at least 40
minutes.
>> Yes.
>> For that class to be considered
complete. If students log in and out of
a of a 1 hour or a 50inut class uh
sometimes even though students attend
the system doesn't uh consider that as a
completed class. So that becomes an
issue and uh automatically the uh
attendance which is generated shows that
the student was not present in the
class. So that's something that all
students who have chosen to do online
need to know. Uh please ensure that uh
you are logged into class on time and
that you stay on in the class um till
the end of class. Now if due to internet
issues you drop out of the class once or
twice it's fine. Your overall duration
is calculated. So if it is less than 40
minutes uh automatically the system will
consider you absent. So this is
something that uh all online students
need to note. And uh the final one which
I would like to add is concerning the
main audi. So all students have received
an email which has an attachment um of
the fall 2026 schedule and if you look
closely towards the end of that schedule
or the bottom of the schedule there's a
mention of a course called as main a uh
on Google classroom and uh we encourage
all the students that is the onampus
online and e-learning students to please
join the main audi uh So I'll repeat
myself all modes to please join the main
audi even the onampus and e-learning
students. The reason being we post many
announcements on the main audi and it
will be very helpful for all our
students. Um and uh apart from this uh
many of us will be aware every Thursday
Indian standard time 8 a.m. We run a
call by the name of mentoring R which is
conducted by our faculty uh and it's a
very interesting uh interactive session
where we pick up relevant topics that
are new and uh helpful for ministry and
uh we would love for all our students to
be a part of that discussion and the
link gets posted on the main audi. So if
students have not registered uh they
will miss out on our announcement. So we
request everyone please make sure to
register yourself on the main. Yes,
those would be the two um topics that I
wanted to touch on. Uh thank you so
much. Thank you.
>> Yes. Thank you ma'am. Okay. Any more
questions please? Okay. If not then then
we can just wind up for now. Okay. Uh
shall we close? Uh ma'am. Okay. I think
one question come up. Uh there's nothing
uploaded. Yes, as of now there's nothing
uploaded. So only we uh we have uploaded
is um uh the orientation week uh the
session. So if you go to the main audi
then uh you you'll be able to see those
courses. Uh let me just demonstrate that
would be uh so hope you're able to see
uh so as of now nothing has uploaded
because yet to start all the courses but
yes as we stated uh the orientation week
uh we have already we are doing it we
are uploading it so you will be able to
see as passen was mentioning so we have
the orientation week the fall schedule
the fall schedule and all the notes and
also if you could just see here We have
all the lecture videos being uploaded so
you can access that as of now and yes
from Monday onwards you'll be able to uh
see all the courses. Uh yes brother John
uh we will look into it. Uh sure and
we'll make sure that we are uploading
today. Okay. So shall we wind up? Uh
okay thank you so much everyone uh for
joining today's session. Uh and uh we
hope that this was helpful. Uh not
really. So we will have uh one more
session and that's for e-learning
students. So if you would like to then
we would request you to please join the
class uh join the session as well. So
right now I'll be I I'll stop the
recording but uh the uh the the session
will be on so you can just be on the
call and we will start at 10:00. Yeah.
Okay. So once again, thank you everyone.
