Video summary

The "Give Where You Live 2026" campaign, hosted by the Carne Area Community Foundation, is set to launch on December 3rd, 2026, with the ambitious goal of raising over $15 million for local nonprofits serving the Carney area in sectors such as arts, education, health, and human services. Registration for the event closes on October 2nd, while early giving begins on November 5th; participation is strictly reserved for organizations that keep all funds within the local community, regardless of their size or specific location. To officially join the campaign, organizations must complete a two-step registration process involving the submission of a data form and the full completion of an organization-specific "to-do list," which will not be considered active until approved by the review team. Once registered, nonprofits are required to customize their profiles on the new Mighty Cause platform by uploading essential assets such as a logo, banner image, and an about section containing at least 50 words, alongside creating a dedicated thank-you page for donor engagement. While these items are mandatory, organizations are also encouraged to add mission statements and identify lead administrators to streamline operations. The webinar demonstrated how users can log in, reset passwords if necessary, navigate the dashboard, and utilize edit mode to set brand colors, define fundraising goals with progress bars, manage social sharing settings, and configure admin permissions. Additional resources, including downloadable banners, planning worksheets, and webinar recordings, are available through the Nonprofit Toolkit on the Give Where You Live website to assist with this transition. For ongoing assistance, users can submit support tickets via a question mark icon on the main website or email support@mightycause.com during business hours from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Eastern Time, with responses typically arriving within one to two business days. Further help is accessible through the embedded nonprofit toolkit, the support forum at support.mightycause.com, and comprehensive guides available on the Mighty Cause website. The foundation advises organizations to use provided banner images for visual consistency but explicitly recommends against modifying official logos like "Amplify Good" or "Give Where You Live," while templates can be found within the toolkit's "Nonprofits" section. The session concluded by emphasizing a collaborative approach to ensure a smooth transition to the new platform, with specific instructions to contact Ashley for access to webinar recordings and Andy for membership in the private Facebook group. By combining these technical resources with clear guidelines on branding and eligibility, the campaign aims to empower local nonprofits to effectively engage donors and achieve their fundraising targets throughout the 2026 holiday season.

All right, good morning everybody. We are so pleased to have you here today for the give where you live getting started webinar on the mighty cause platform. Thank you for being here on time, but we are going to give folks just a couple of more moments to get settled in. So grab your coffee, your water, a notepad, whatever you might need to be successful for the next hour. Good morning. If you are just joining us, we are going to get started in about one to two minutes um for our getting started webinar training today. As you get yourself settled, if you'd like to in the chat um share with us what organization you're with, how many years you've participated in the Give Where You Live campaign. Um just some quick intros in the chat would be great to get us started today. All right, our participants list has been pretty steady for the last minute or so, so we will go ahead and get started. Um, it's so nice to see so many of you already engaging in the chat. Looks like we've got a lot of newcomer organizations joining us today, which is wonderful. Um, as a heads up to you all, today's webinar is going to be recorded and the slides as well as the webinar recording will be added to the nonprofit toolkit on the Give Where You Live uh site sometime in the near future. So if you need to share what we discussed today with other team members or if you need to refer back to some of the information we cover uh that will be available for you to do so. Um today we are going to be talking all about getting started on the mighty cause platform. So, Mighty Cause is the new technology provider that is allowing um the Give Where You Live team to host their giving event um for this year and years to come. We are so pleased to have all of these new nonprofits joining us as well as returning nonprofits from the giving event. Um, and we're hopeful that uh today's webinar will provide you with a little bit more information on how our platform works, how you can create a impactful presence for the giving event, um, and all of the little details that will be a part of getting your organization's page set up. My name is Claire Percoo and I'm the project manager supporting the Carne Area Community Foundation team. They have been working very hard behind the scenes to get their site uh launched, to get registration set up, and we are moving and grooving um towards the big day in December. So, um today is just one of two trainings we'll be offering for you all. The second training is coming a little bit later and that's going to focus on how to utilize the nonprofit fundraising tools that will allow you to have a successful giving event. Um I am joined today by the one and only Ashley Wheatz and I'm going to pass the mic over to her just for a couple of opening remarks. >> Yeah, thank you Claire. So we are excited to be in our 13th year of Give Where You Live and excited to have a new software partner as well. Um I appreciate all of your patience so far. as Andy and I kind of are the as you as you all know we both um do a lot of the the behind the scenes stuff and so we're learning too. Things are rolling out as we as we know what we're knowing and figuring things out. So um thanks to all of you. Uh don't hesitate to shoot me a question. Um I assume at some point in the presentation we'll have that good old support mighty cause.com email reminder uh because a lot of tech stuff will go there. But we're just excited to get this kicked off and I hope you guys learn a lot today about how to get started this year. So, thanks. >> I'm muted. Thank you so much, Ashley. Um, as we move through our training today, I know there will be a lot of questions or wonderings that come up along the way. What I'd like you all to do is utilize the Q&A feature in the webinar um to submit your questions. So, at the bottom of your Zoom screen where you see like your microphone and your video or your raise your hand feature, there's also an option to um open up the Q&A module. If you could drop your questions in there, that would be super helpful. Sometimes they get lost if they go into the chat. Um, and I want to make sure that I see all of your questions. Ashley, if you notice any questions coming up um, that you feel should be answered in the moment, just let me know. Otherwise, I'm going to just keep moving and grooving and answer them at the end. All right, this is what we're going to chat through today. So, some Give Where You Live basics. If you've participated in Give Where You Live before, some of this may be familiar, but if you're new, hopefully this will allow you to understand the giving event at a higher level. Uh we'll talk about how do you register. If you're here, you've likely already begun the registration process or have already registered for the giving event. We'll talk about your to-do list, your organization page, and after I go through all of the slides, I'll then switch my screen to do a live walkthrough and demo of the platform so you can see everything in action. And then, of course, we will wrap it up with a Q&A. All right, give where you live basics. What is it? A communitywide giving day powered by the Carne Area Community Foundation, uniting the community to raise money and awareness for local nonprofits. That is you all. Um, this year it is on December 3rd, 2026. And since 2013, Give Where You Live has raised more than $15 million for nonprofits and hoping to continue that positive momentum to impact the community um that you all serve and why might it matter for you as a nonprofit? Um, giving participating organizations a chance to grow capacity, reach new donors, and discover new funding streams. So, we're hoping that on our platform, you are able to leverage tools that are valuable to your organization's mission uh to continue to do good um in your community this giving season and beyond. Some important dates. If you don't have these marked already in your calendar, it may be uh wise to do so. So, registration is currently open and it will close October 2nd. Um, we will be offering our second webinar training all about fundraising tools shortly after registration closes on October 7th. That is going to be held at 12:00 p.m. You'll get the registration link for that in the near future as well. Um, early giving will begin November 5th and it will run through December 2nd. And then the big day is give where you live on December 3rd from midnight to midnight. some eligibility requirements. So, nonprofits serving the Carney area, causes that may be involved in the arts, education, health, human services, and beyond. Um, there are no size or location restrictions for organizations to participate. However, 100% of the funds must stay local in your community. There are some additional eligibility requirements listed on the Give Where You Live site. And as always, you could contact Ashley or Andy uh to inquire further. Okay, let's talk about your ad account. So, when you go to the Give Where You Live site, you will be um encouraged to log in to your admin account. You'll first need to ask yourself, are you a returning organization admin or are you new? If you are a returning organization admin, we have likely migrated in your um information from your previous platform. So, you already have a profile uh on our platform. What you would do to log in is select the login button on the top right hand corner and you are going to log in using the same email you used previously to manage your organization's page forgive where you live. However, you will need to select forgot password on the login module. And the reason you're selecting forgot password is because you already have an account. We just need to reset your credentials on the platform. If you are a new organization or a new admin to a returning organization, your process is a little bit more straightforward. You're just going to enter your email on the line. Go ahead and enter your password and you'll be all set to log in. There is no secondstep verification process where you have to select another link in your email. Um so logging in should be pretty straightforward um for you all. Once you are logged in, you will be able to access your uh user account. Um on the top right hand corner, that login button will then change to the name that's associated with your user account. You'll have some information in that drop- down menu. You'll see which organizations you manage or that you're the administrator for. Some of you may manage only one organization. Some of you may be admins for multiple organizations. And that will be reflected here. um you'll be able to select your managed causes which essentially are the organizations for which you're an admin for and that looks like this uh once you select that button. So in this screenshot you can see I'm the admin for three different um managed causes and those are identified here by those tiles. Sometimes those of you who are admins are also donors. So if you have uh you know donated to causes in the past, you could also review your donation history by selecting this second tab and as well as your account settings. So if you need to update the name associated with your account, the email, the phone number, um any stored payment methods, that can all be managed here. Okay, so that's really how do you log in looking at your user account at a high level. I encourage you to get in and start kind of clicking around and seeing what other um elements are a part of that user account. How to register? Let's make sure you are set up for success to participate and give where you live. Registration on the mighty cause platform is really seen as two separate parts. Part one is going to be completing and submitting the registration form. And then part two is completing your organization's to-do list. The registration form is the data and the information the give where you live team needs to collect to ensure you're eligible to participate. And then part two, doing that to-do list, is what ensures your organization's page is prepared to go live. Um that it's completely filled out. um and that the elements that will help you be successful have been fulfilled. Um so you will not be eligible to um participate or your profile will not be active on the site or visible on the site until you complete that to-do list. So friendly reminder, just because you submit the form does not mean your organization is visible and ready to receive donations. You must complete that to-do list first. So, part one, the actual completion of the registration form. When you go to the Give Where You Live site, if you land on the homepage, scroll down just a little bit, and there's going to be a purple button that says register here. Once you click that button, it's going to reroute you to the registration form page. Uh, that's going to outline some eligibility requirements, some commonly asked questions about registration, and then you'll also see the registration form module. It's going to look like this picture here. You'll click register. If you're already logged in, you'll likely see this version of the form. However, if you have not logged into the platform yet, once you click register, that will prompt the the login process. So, depending on how you entered into the site, um will depend on what version of the registration module you see. However, once you are logged in, you'll see the form and there's going to be a field here for you to enter your EIN. Uh the Mighty Cause platform does a monthly audit of the IRS business master file. So, we're constantly refreshing organizations that are newly established um updating verification statuses of um all of our organizations in the platform. So once you type in your EIN, you'll see a drop-own picker and from there you'll select the organization you're looking to register. If you are a returning admin and you're already logged in, you're actually going to see radio buttons for the organizations you're associated with. So you don't even have to search. It should really be like a quick clickandgo sort of option to um complete the registration process. And if you are brand new uh a brand new organization or you do not see your organization from the drop-own picker, select create it now and that will prompt you to submit some information to our support team to create an organization's page for you. All right. So once you complete the registration form and you click submit, you will then sort of launch out onto your organization's page and you'll be presented with your to-do list. To-do list items ensure your organization page has a strong and complete public presence. Otherwise, you may be missing some important elements that help to tell your story to your supporters. Once you complete your to-do list items, the Give Where You Live team will review your registration form. They'll review your page, and they're the ones who are going to give you that final stamp of approval to uh participate in the giving event. And once you're approved, you will receive an email notification confirming that you are now a participant. During the registration phase, you will get a few emails to provide you with a status update. So, when you first submit the form, you'll get an email that basically confirms you've submitted a registration form. Then you will get a second email when you are approved to participate. Um, if you are ineligible to participate, you'll also get a second email um outlining that you were not found eligible to participate. Anyways, when you are on organization page, you are going to see this nifty little button at the top with a sticky note icon. It's called your to-do list. If you click it, it's going to expand it in that yellow sticky note image. And that red dot at the top is what's going to tell you you have incomplete items. Now you can see what is required for you to complete on your to-do list. You can click on each element of the to-do list and it will bring you to that particular part of the platform to be updated. And you can also select this opened detailed to-do list as well to see everything um on a more zoomed in level. So here are the required and recommended items for you to complete to have a um final organization page. Upload your logo. Upload a banner image. Include some information in your about section. And also complete your thank you page. These items must be complete before Ashley will approve you. The recommended items are things that maybe we're encouraging you to do but won't be um you know won't decide your eligibility to participate or not. So maybe you want to include a mission statement on your organization page. And it may also be helpful if you have multiple admins to identify who is your lead admin so that the give where you live team knows who be doing the primary amount of their outreach to. So those recommended items will continue to live on your to-do list even if you've completed those required items. I would like to share with you that as far as the banner image goes, um Andy has created a banner that you can use if you do not have your own banner and that does live in the nonprofit toolkit already. I'll revisit that topic at the end of our conversation today so I can show you where you can download that. Um but it's always nice when the team uh has given you some frameworks to already work off of. So please know that exists for you. dashboard navigation. So, you've registered, you're working through your to-do list, and now you have this whole menu of options on your organizations page to help you be successful on the Mighty Cause platform. The dashboard is again that menu on the left-hand side of your org page. And we're going to go through each of these items over the next two webinars. So today we'll talk about your overview page where you could review your registration status, any announcements, your to-do list, um any status updates about your IRS verification. We'll talk through your org page, how to customize your profile, fundraising tools such as peer-to-peer campaigns, matching grants, um text to give, all the things. We will talk about that in our second webinar, so I will skip over it, but you can start to explore it if you'd like. Same thing for reports. Not going to chat through today. That's in our next conversation. Uh checkout. So, this is going to be your donation flow, such as your donation form, um receipt, and thank you page. We'll talk about your thank you page today since that is part of your to-do list. And then we'll chat through some of your settings as well, um such as admins who can access your org page. So when you are on your organization's uh back end and you're logged in, this is sort of the screen you'll see here. Uh a couple of banners will be presented to you depending on the stage of the giving event right now. Donations are not open. No one can give to your organization. You may see here your IRS verification status is pending. Perhaps duringation there was a typo in the EIN or perhaps you just need to submit a new letter of determination or perhaps RT needs to verify your fiscal sponsor. If that is the step if that's the case for your organization, it's going to be notated on your page and you can click this link to contact support and our customer support team will tell you exactly what we need from you uh to get you reverified so that you'll be eligible to receive donations. So, if you see that, knowing that donations are opening soon, I would go ahead and get the ball rolling on that as well. We've been doing some work on the back end to proactively remedy some of these verification um statuses. And also, you are able to um engage in that process as well. And sometimes it's easier because then you can just submit the documentation instead of, you know, it going through three different people first before it gets to the right person. Yellow banner means your to-do list is still needing some completion. And right now the blue banner means registration is open. There will be a green banner once reg or um donations become live. Some highle metrics um as well for you to review your organization's page. A lot of the to-do list items are relevant as far as getting your org page set up. So this is the link that you'll share with your supporters during the giving event. Um, it is also the way you are going to send a message to your community of supporters and you can customize the look and feel of your org profile. Um, we encourage you to take some time to really make this um, speak to your mission and tell that powerful story about why donors should give to your organization. The edit mode toggle on the top right is what's going to allow you to update pictures and languages or pictures and images and language um, on your page. And wherever you see these gray icons, that is a cue to you that you can update that section. So if you wanted to update your banner image, you would select this uh gray icon here. Pencil icon for the logo image. There's this paint palette icon if you wanted to umify specific brand colors for your org page. This pencil icon is to update your um display name. So, lots of customizations just in this first component of your org page. Right below that, you'll see your page metrics and giving activity options. So, you can include a goal on your page, a fundraising goal. You can include a progress bar to see so that donors can see how close you are to reaching that goal. You can always update that progress bar. So let's say you fulfill your first goal. You can increase that goal and your donors will see that you are still working to raise funds during the giving event. You can decide what's displayed, whether it's dollars raised, number of donors. Um what we are going to do, however, is we are going to reset all of these values for you to begin calculating on November 5th. So nothing really should be um we wouldn't encourage you to select a custom date here, right? like we're going to tell you that your metric should start calculating early giving and we would recommend that you would leave that there. You can also turn on your giving activity timeline. This will basically be a running list of who's given to your cause how much. Um if donors opt to be anonymous or to hide their dollar amount that will also be reflected in your giving activity um feed. Below that is your about section. So standard um inline editor tools if you're familiar with Word or you know Google Docs pretty much the same kind of text capabilities here. You can include headers, bullet points, images, call to action buttons, um links and we also have this option here for you to add a secondary custom tab. In this example, you've seen the second tab is really to demonstrate who the team is behind the organization. You could use the second tab to talk about specific programs you're working on or um you know testimonials from previous donors or from individuals who have uh directly been impacted by the goodness of your organization. So you could opt to use that as well. Please note that in order for the about section to-do list item to be fulfilled, you do need at least 50 words. So, it's not a character count, but you will need at least 50 words to fulfill that um about section checkbox. Always like to call a little extra attention to the save button. Please save the work that you're doing as you're doing it. Nothing is worse than spending, you know, quite a bit of time to perfect your about section and then making the assumption it's automatically captured on your page. No, unfortunately not. Press save um so that you don't get into a pickle. You can add media. So, if you have imagery that speaks to your organization or reflects things that you've done in the past, include that. You can also update your social share settings, which I'll show you in your settings um component of your dashboard. And like so many other ways to update your um organizations page to be as robust as you'd like it to be for the giving event. So again, this is what that giving activity looks like. you can turn on um featured campaigns. So those um this is an option for you to identify specific peer-to-peer fundraising campaigns you'd like to feature. Um the supporting campaigns really just a running list of any peer-to-peer campaign that's been created for your organization. Um so lots of ways to sort of juzj up your site as you prepare for give where you live. I'm going to shift gears now into settings. So on your dashboard on the left hand side, we took a look at the overview page which had the banners and some of those metrics. We just looked at your org page. How do you update, you know, your profile? Um, and now we're taking a look here in this settings section. You will likely want to call attention to general settings as well as admin settings. Um, and then you can poke around with some of the other ones as well. In this example, you'll see dispersement settings, but that's not something that's applicable on your site because um the foundation will be doing your dispersements aside instead of mighty cause. So, that won't be there. Um but let's see here. Under general settings, you will have the option to customize your URL. Also, that link that you send out to your supporters, it's going to have some standard text that will get them to your platform, but then you can customize like that last section of your URL to speak directly to your organization. You can also include alternate search names so that if you have donors that know your organization by an acronym or by a nickname or maybe by a former organization name, if you plug those items in here, those alternate names will sort of be tied to your to your org page so that when someone inputs that in the search on the give where you live site, it will recognize that they actually do mean your site even if it has a different display name right now. And then your social share setting. So if you have supporters who opt to share your cause on, you know, via text or on Facebook or via email, this is where you can sort of customize the header and the image that's associated with that link that's being shared. And then I'd also encourage you all to spend a little bit of time getting familiar with your admin settings. So depending on how big or small your organization is, you may have a list of multiple admins. Maybe some of them are no longer associated with your organization. It might be a good idea to do some cleanup and get rid of any admins that you know aren't going to be logging into our platform. Um you'll also see any admin pending approvals that have come in for your page. So, if somebody finds your organization, um there's actually a button at the very bottom that says manage this organization. This is how somebody could request to be an admin for your page. They don't get direct access. You have to approve them. So, you will see any um pending approvals here. Alternatively, you can add any admin manually by selecting this button up at the top right. I'm going to stop sharing my screen for a quick moment. I see we have something in the Q&A. Just kidding. Andy says, "Lol, never mind." Um, and let me go ahead and share my screen so we can do the live demo. All right. All right. So this is the give whereyou.net site that the team has been working on. When you land here, you have a couple of options. Again, you can log in on the top right hand corner first or you can bring off to the registration page and log in through the pathway on the registration form. Either works. Um I'll just show you it through this pathway. So, here's the registration form module. I'm ready to register and it's automatically going to prompt me to log in. Again, if you're a returning, you're going to type in your email address. Oh, let's do this one. And the system will recognize that you already have an account and it's going to ask you to uh reset your password. However, if you are a new admin, you could just type in your email address and create your password this way. You can also use any of the login buttons on the top. So, now that I'm logged in, I can see my profile um name is associated. Obviously, as an, you know, the project manager, I have a little bit more to see here on this list, but again, you'll be able to see your managed causes. maybe. Yep. So, you can see, you know, the organizations that you manage. You can see your donation history. Um, you can, you know, sort by different years as well as updating your account settings. So, I would encourage you all to maybe look at the name that's associated with your account just based on the migration data that we received. Some of the names weren't really your names. They were more like the organization name. So, we think we maybe got through all of them. Ashley did quite a deep dive on that. So, um, just take a look there. Um, some other items for you to peruse as well. Anyways, back to the registration. So, now that I'm logged in, the registration form module has opened. I can type in the EIN number for my organization. I can type in my organization's name. find your organization from the list of the dropown picker. If you're already an admin, however, you'll see these quick click buttons here and you can just select the organization you're going to register and you would say select to launch into the registration form. But if you do not see your page, you'll select create it now and you'll be prompted to create that page. When you click select, you'll go through all of the questions, answer all of the things, review the guidelines. Um, this is all really critical data that the Give Where You Live team wants to collect. Um, if you start the form and you don't finish it, you can select save and finish later and then you can re-enter the form to finalize later and then you can click submit as well. Um, okay. Once you are logged in, you've done part one of the registration, which is your registration form. You will then want to get started with part two, which is your to-do list. I'm going to show you Black Cat Society. This is our demo organization. None of the data here is real. Um, but we'll we'll use this both on this call and the next webinar um to review all of the components of your site. Maybe we should zoom in a little bit um just so we can see better. Okay. Um here's your overview page. So you'll see any announcements from the host on the right hand side. Um I do believe Ashley explored the announcement tool recently to provide a reminder for this webinar. So, over the next couple of weeks leading up to Give Where You Live, take a look at what the hosts are trying to share with you. Maybe they're going to tell you when prizes are announced. Maybe they're going to remind you about other elements of the giving day that are going to be important that could potentially be embedded here. And then you can collapse those announcements as well. So, your organization setup is incomplete. I've got the red dot on my to-do list. I know that there's something for me to finish. my registration is currently pending. It would be blue um to just say that registration is open. It will be green if my registration is approved. Um highle metrics for your giving event or for your organization. You know, you can select different time periods. We've had five donors in the last 90 days. You know, we've raised $260 in the last nuh 90 days. There's also a year-over-year chart. So, you'll be able to see sort of how did you do in 2026 versus 2027 during the giving event. Um, so that is your overview page. Let's explore that to-do list on this demo. Here are the to-do list items. You'll notice if I hover, those become clickable links. That will bring me directly to that page element that needs to be updated. And I can also select the detailed to-do list as well. So, let's go ahead and move over to our org page and talk about how to update this. So, edit mode. I can collapse the dashboard as well. Edit mode can be turned on or off. And then this is the URL you will share during the giving event. You'll notice that custom URL Blackat Society at the end. Now, whether or not edit mode is on or off, it doesn't impact that URL on the top. to update your image. You can upload, select from a gallery, and you can also include a cool color overlay. So, if you've got specific colors you want to use on your banner, you can do that. Here is your uh logo, which is required. So, you can upload an image. You can have white backdrop to increase some contrast or you can hide the backdrop so it is a um clear background. paint palette. This is going to identify, you know, the color of your buttons on your page. So, if your brand is red, you've now got the red branded color there. This is going to change your display name. It doesn't impact your organization's legal information. Um, and then here's that section regarding your metrics. So, we can hide the progress bar. We can include the progress bar and we can also increase our goal. So this is you're eligible to do this at any time. None of this gets locked down at any point in the giving event season. Um you can hide the total dollars raised. You can hide the number of donors and again we will um set this metrics date for you. Maybe you also are not interested in being so transparent with your dollars raised. that you could hide your fundraising stats. All right, your about section. Again, all the standard uh text editing tools here. You can embed videos or images. Call to action buttons can be built into the about section. Um, tell a powerful story about why donors should support your mission. And then here's that custom tab you could add. So, you can remove the tab. Um, you could say something else like, let's see, testimonials, and that will update. Well, it's supposed to update this rename tab. Let's try that one more time. You know why? It's cuz I didn't press save. Remember when I told you all to press that blue save button? Well, there you go. In real time. Don't do what I do. Um, so you can change, you know, whatever is happening here on this second tab. featured campaigns. So, if you would prefer not to have this, you don't have to. Um, but this does give you an option to select specific peer-to-peer campaigns to highlight um during your fundraising efforts, giving activity. So, again, this is that stream of gifts that are given. Um, if donors opt to hide their dollar amount, that will be hidden. If they opt to hide their name, that will be hidden. If any dedications have been associated with the gift, that will be shown here as well. This element, these are all of your peer-to-peer fundraisers in no particular order, which is different than again those featured causes up top. media gallery. You can add images, add videos, or you can hide the section. We'll talk about matches during our next call, but that will be visible on your site, as well as any opportunities or inerson events that you are hosting. And then at the bottom is your summary of organization information. So, take a look at that as well. Um, back to your dashboard. Contacts, next call. Fundraising tools, next call, reports, next call. Let's talk about your checkout flow. We'll look at the donation form and the receipt at a future date, but part of your to-do list completion is your thank you page. The thank you page is not an email. It is not a receipt. It is simply a screen switch after a gift has been made. So, when a donor submits a gift to your cause, the next thing they will see on their desktop or their mobile device is the thank you page. This is your first opportunity to thank your donor. Um, so it says your email, your receipt has been emailed. The donor will then be able to share, you know, their cause. So, please set up your social share settings. And if the donor needs to go back in to manage their donation, they'll be able to do so. The Give Where You Live team will also have a thank you message that is embedded automatically into this thank you page. And below that is where you as the organization can make a specific thank you statement um to your donor. So again, same editing tools here. You can include a call to action. So if you want to encourage folks to join your newsletter or if you've got a great, you know, event happening after the giving event, um you can include a link to that. U maybe you just want to link out your website for them to explore further. um take some time to um be thoughtful in your thank you message to your organization. What it will look like is this. So, we've got a little confetti that goes it'll say thank you for donating first. You'll see the message from the host. So, uh give where you live will have their thank you message here. And then below that will be the thank you messages from each organization that the donor has given to. So, if they've given to one organization, just that organization's thank you message shows up. If they've given to five, it's going to be a series of five different thank yous from these organizations. Okay, that's your thank you page. Let's talk about some settings. General settings, URL customization. So, you could just type in Boys and Girls Club 26 if you wanted to or, you know, whatever your cause name is. Sometimes during the migration, the URLs come in and they're quite extreme in terms of having a million different random letters and characters. Probably not the link you want to share. Um, so think about what will be accessible to your or uh to your supporters. Please keep this toggled on. Not sure why you would want to hide yourself during the giving event. Same thing with donations. We would expect you'd want to receive gifts during Give Where You Live, so keep that toggled on. Alternate search names. Again, if you have an acronym or something else your supporters know you by, tag your org page to those names here. And then when somebody does a search, when they go to the search on the website, if they type in that acronym, it will pull up your org page. And then here are those social share settings. So if somebody shares your cause from the mighty cause platform via text or social media, what would you like that share to look like? Um update with your logo and some sort of title. And if you have social media accounts, you can either include those hashtags or your X account. Other settings to consider are going to be your admins. Maybe you have an intern who's supporting your organization and you want to add them as an administrator. You would do that here. Um, anyone who has requested to manage your org page will fall within this approval queue. You can either approve them or decline them. And maybe you have a list of like 15 or admins who are no longer relevant and you want to delete them. You can just click these three dots on the right and say remove. Um if you select the edit button, this is where you'll have that option to mark somebody as a lead contact. So that's going to be within this sort of editing module. Um so again, that's a recommended element on your to-do list. Um, let's see here. I want to show you the nonprofit toolkit. So, if you go to the Give Where You Live site, these sites are like living and breathing. They're always going to be changing throughout the giving event. So, what you see today is not what you will see in two or 3 weeks. Um, so continue to take a look at that nonprofit dropdown. Things will be added throughout um the development of the um Give Where You Live experience. So, for the toolkit here, um, they've done a really good job getting you set up for success right out the gate. So, step one is registering. See all of the details you need to be um, you know, going through the registration process with Fidelity. Right here is if you need that banner image. Again, if I click it, it's going to open up the amazing banner that has been created for you. All you need to do is download it. clicking this little download icon, and that's what you can use to add to your org page um to fulfill that to-do list item. This is also where you would expect to find the webinar recording, the webinar slides, any other additional training materials. We've got some important dates listed here, ways to prepare for success, so important dates, fundraising planning worksheet, other trainings that are happening. Looks like there's a new nonprofit and new nonprofit leaders webinar being hosted by the foundation. Take a look at that. Spread the word. Um so coming soon. Keep checking back. Um these are going to be some images you can use to promote the giving event. How to um gather donations, whether those are those offline gifts that you will uh deliver to the foundation, and then how to finish strong. So again, this will always be in development. Um, and keep an eye on the header as well as that continues to change throughout the giving event. I'm going to stop sharing for a quick moment. And I see something in the Q&A. And let's see. And you're Ashley. Could you reach out to me when you have time? I have everything done on my end, but it doesn't look like what is being shown. Thank you. So, yep. If you have any questions for the host, Yep. they will happy to support you and if they get hung up on something they'll reach out to me for assistance as well. >> Yeah. And I it isn't an automatic so I do have to manually approve everybody and I try to get in once a day and do that but um just know as soon as it looks good on my end I'll get you get you approved and then the site goes live. So yeah, >> that's a great point. Yes. So if your to-do list items are complete and you're like why am I not approved? Well, it's because somebody behind the scenes has to review it and, you know, click a button that says approve and it's Ashley and she's one person. So, give her a couple of days to get that squared away for you all. Um, yeah, I know she's also eager to get you guys, you know, live on the site. So, if there's anything in particular that would be holding you up, we would all troubleshoot that on the back end. And then, is there any way we can print off information for today to share with others on our team? Thank you for asking that question. I will be providing um Ashley with the slides PDF as well as the training recording. So once she posts the slides online or emails those out to you, you could certainly print those off to share internally. >> Yeah, our game plan is on that nonprofit toolkit that prepare for success um is where a lot of this is going to live throughout the whole process. So just kind of keep that bookmarked know to look there. Um, I have a goal I can't promise of sending out a weekly email to everyone because I'm like, don't promise things just in case you get a wonky week, but uh of just like, hey, updates. Here's what's new this week. Here's what you can find. So, just watch your email from me as well. >> Great. Thank you. And it looks like we have an admin who is recognizing the theme for the year of amplify good for 2026. Um so again that nonprofit toolkit will be full of materials for you to promote um your organization to promote the giving event in alignment with this year's theme. >> Yep. And hopefully we might do some brainstorming either at that new nonprofit leader session. I also want to highlight that at the end of October we're going to have kind of our first stab at an everybody meeting at the World Theater and we'll probably that'll be a great chance to brainstorm with folks too. Wonderful. Thank you, >> Michaela. I see you have your hand raised. Do you have the ability to turn your mic on and ask a question? Maybe that was by accident. Uh, oops, no worries. >> Okay, let's talk through support for our last thing today. You've got a great team, you know, with the foundation. They care a lot about your success. Um, so you're always welcome to reach out to them for assistance. You're also welcome to reach out to us for assistance, especially if it pertains to like the platform itself. It may be helpful just to goirectly to our support team. Um, so if you have questions about your org page, your IRS verification, you're seeing something wonky in your reporting, or there's this feature you really want to know how to use, but we didn't talk about it in a webinar, reach out to our team um, and we will get you all squared away as well. So on your on the give whereyou.net site, there's always going to be a gray question mark icon on the bottom right. That is going to be a module for you to submit a support ticket. And you can also email them directly at support mightycos. Whoops. Supportycaus.com. Uh we are located on the east coast. So our support team is available from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. which is your time 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Um so I think I said I think I did that calculation right, but send us a message. I think we often get back to folks within 1 to two business days depending on the um involvement in the ticket. Um, we also have a lot of resources online. So, some of that is embedded into the nonprofit toolkit. Um, but we also have support.mightycaus.com which is basically a giant forum of all things mighty cause. So, if you have a question about text to give, you would just type text to give in the search bar and articles and support um articles will come up for you to review and maybe do some learning. Um, and then then if you wanted to look at a more comprehensive guide, you could go to mightycos.comguide. Um, yeah, I mean, we are here to support you. We know being on a new platform can feel maybe exciting for some of you, but maybe nerve-wracking for others, especially if you've participated in Give Where You Live for, you know, 5 6 7 8 9 10 years and you're to your old platform and you're used to the old interface. This can feel like a lot. Um, so let us help you through it. As Ashley said at the beginning, it's a little bit of a build the plane as you fly it kind of situation like they are learning right aside right alongside you all. Um but you know we are here to support you in feeling informed to use the platform empowered to use the platform. Um and we are just our goal is to help you be successful to support your community. Really that's what it comes down to. I'm going to stop sharing. I think we've got another question. Ah, yes. >> All good. Thanks, Jane. >> All good, Jane. No worries. It's like me trying to do something in the demo and not clicking save. So, it is what it is. No problem. >> Any other questions that you maybe want to put in the chat? Um, now that I'm able to manage looking at both the chat and the Q&A, you know, I never know coming into these first trainings if the questions are going to pop up in the moment or if they're going to be questions that come up after the fact. So, if you would like to get on with the rest of your morning, you are welcome to do so. I will stick around online for just a little bit longer if any other questions come up. Um, where could we find the templates provided by the foundation again? >> Yes, those are in the nonprofit toolkit. So, just go ahead and go to give whereyou.net and there should be a four nonprofits option right now at the top left. And if you click that and then click nonprofit toolkit, I'm not sure exactly what templates you're talking about, but um the banner image, if you would like to use ours instead of creating one or using kind of a boring, you know, one, uh we really encourage you to use ours if you aren't going to create one specific to your organization just so we have nice consistency across the board. Um so yeah, uh Claire pulled it up. So that banner image is going to be down here. But if you're talking about like social media images, uh, under I think under spread the word is where we're we're loading in things as they're created. So if you need that amplify good logo or the give where you live logo to, um, to use, just please don't modify either of those. Just you can plop them on a picture or on something, but don't mess with them, please. And thank you. >> Great. All right. Anything else? All right, take care, Kathy. I think we could probably just kind of wrap it up today. Um, I will get the webinar recording over to Ashley. I will send all the things. If you have any questions, let her know. She'll let me know and we'll make sure you're all set up. And Andy, there's a reminder from her to be added to the private Facebook group. to email Andy if you want to be added to the private Facebook group. Got it. All right, folks. Well, you all have a great day. So nice to meet you all. We'll be touching base soon enough and looking forward to a successful Get Where You Live. All right. Thanks Ashley.
