Although, those did have I think What was the last one we watched? Not Good Godard. Amazing. And so is Border. Ga Ga No, Gattaca. It's another one with the G. Gattaca. >> [sighs] >> It does have I think cuz it has that like Oscar opening. >> Right. >> But then it goes into really, really cringey. >> Yeah. >> This had some like weird jokes. Never first half. >> It never got like ridiculously cringey like that other one. But it did have a longer period of time before it got to the action. So, like it was like almost over an hour >> Yeah. >> before we really got to the crux of the story. They were building up the relationship. Um Once you got to the action, I thought it was I thought it was fun. I thought it was like it was something it the set pieces were fun, the the 80s style action was fun. Um, and and the and all that stuff. I thought it was overall good. Just not maybe not as good as maybe all the other ones we've watched at least currently. >> Yeah. >> Um, so we've seen what? Border which is probably still I don't know, my favorite. Right? And Sunny? >> I mean I liked I liked Gadar as well. Yeah. >> Good Both good I think those are maybe my two favorites. Gadar and >> Border. Um Cuz they're just so good. Border might still be my favorite. Um Sorry, I'm looking up his >> And yeah. We've only seen what? Five of his films now, probably. >> I think we've seen about five. >> But like his most popular ones so far. And um yeah, I it It also felt long. It felt longer than it is. >> Oh, yeah. >> Um, but >> an hour to really get to the to the meat of the story. >> It was It was the first half was enjoyable. Second half was more excellent in terms of just campy felt like 80s. I mean it's a 1990 film, but it felt like 80s >> Yeah. >> Hindi action. >> Yeah. >> That's That's a lot of fun to watch. So it's just all all in all it's a it's an enjoyable. It was a bronze for me as far as it's just I Ultimately I I enjoyed it as a whole. Uh I wouldn't watch it again. But um I I enjoyed myself. >> I'd watch some of the action pieces again. >> I'd watch the action sequences again. That I would do. Yeah, I like [clears throat] the action sequences. >> honestly I think like if I got to watch this and that goes with for a lot of Indian movies. If I got to watch this in a theater with a bunch of people that love the movie, >> Yeah, that'd be great. >> like a little more of a um of a difference. And I I'd watch it like for example, if Indrani or any of my all our friends from India were like >> Was she a big fan at all? I know she's a big Salman obviously >> Yeah, Salman and and yeah, Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan are her two go-tos, but she knows of and has seen some of Sunny's stuff, but she doesn't >> He's definitely a the India's as you said, Sylvester Stallone. >> Yeah. >> It's like Obviously, they they look a little different, but they're both action guys. >> But they do have similarities in their look. >> That can have like good intensity and and stuff like that. I feel like. >> And and their characters are all their characters are often quiet until they're pushed too far. >> Yeah. >> Um >> This one had a big like anti um the system message. >> Yeah. >> Um >> Which is extraordinary considering how many day workers they destroyed. >> [laughter] >> Their life is ruined, but uh so he was around since 19 82. >> Wow. >> Uh beginning of the '80s. >> Wow. >> Um was when Sunny started >> Dakota So how old was he in this? Hera Pheri. Which I believe it's actually how it's pronounced, Hera Pheri. I don't know if that's going to be any good. Like does that style of comedy work anymore? >> I don't know. Based on the track record of Akshay's comedies recently, I'm going to say that thing's going to be terrible. >> [laughter] >> God, I can't believe we can't Yeah, get tell me that guy's nickname. >> Yeah. >> It's got to be like KK or something like that. I can remember KK from Mizpah. >> Wheelchair guy. >> Yeah. >> But I can't remember Kublbu Shian. Karabundara. I can't remember that. I think that's one of the reasons I never like >> Yeah. >> recognize his face is cuz I don't know his name. >> doesn't come immediately. >> And also we've we have a big discrepancy. We've either that we've either seen him in the last 5 years or we've seen him from something 30 years ago. >> He does resemble in his younger days a Dharmendra. >> He does a little bit. Yeah, he really does. >> Dharmendra is what I mean meaning to say Dharmendra. >> Um the lot of set pieces were really fun. I thought the action was really fun. Like the whole villain layer fight scene was awesome. >> Um the breaking windows. >> Breaking windows and >> throwing knives. >> It's exactly what you want in a Sunny film. Um the terrible stunt work of the hand-to-hand combat, the terrible sound effects when they punch and kick. >> Um >> That's excellent. >> Rank Sunny Deol movies. >> So we've seen what? Five? >> Probably. That's my we're not off by saying that by much. >> So highest rated >> Border. >> Yes. >> I would tend to agree. >> Me, too. >> That movie is so good. But it's also not strictly just a Sunny movie either though. >> No, it is an ensemble thing, but it he's the heart of the film. And it's just so so much more grounded than we were expecting. >> This one says Damini? Damini? I have not seen that one. >> not seen. >> Ghayal. This one is on there. This was very popular. Dar. >> What's the one What's the one Was it Dar? Was that the one where he beats up um Amrish Puri again? >> No. >> in the crowd at the end? >> Uh, where he makes him walk like a dog? >> Yeah, makes him walk like a dog. >> That's either Gadar or Gayal Gaya not Gayal uh >> That's my second favorite after Border. I think. >> Yeah, that one's so good. That was the iconic villain, right? >> Yeah. Makes him bark like a dog, has him on a leash. >> Yeah, I think it's >> Yeah. >> Ghatak. >> Ghatak, yeah. That's my second favorite after Border. But what makes it so good is we you've seen him before. I think you'd still enjoy it if you didn't know who he was, but I think it's good to see Border first and like him and know he's going to yell. >> Yeah, if you're going to if you're going to kind of introduce somebody new to >> Yeah, do Border then Ghatak. >> He's good >> could do this one, too. I mean, this one's there's nothing wrong with this one. This one's enjoyable. It's just it's a little slow and >> Yeah, and it's >> Yeah, [snorts] it's got some comedy stuff in the beginning that's like holy crap. >> Yeah, I mean >> just going to make people appear out of thin air. >> [laughter] >> Um Let's see. This person says, "What's the Sunny's top best movies?" Gayal is this person's favorite. This one's very popular. Damini apparently is a really popular one. So, you guys let us know. That's the first I'm hearing about that one. Uh, Ghatak, Border, Gadar. We've seen those. >> Yeah. >> Um So, yeah, you'll have to let us know um Were any of like how I know Border How was Border 2? I haven't heard >> heard good things about Border 2. >> But I haven't also heard like it was like as bad as Gadar 2. >> No, I would really be interested because there's many times I've heard terrible things about films and then I went and saw it and was like this is actually quite good. >> Yeah. >> So, I'd be interested to know from folks what is it about it that's not good and is it worth a watch? >> it's just a cash grab and it's like no substance and >> Right. >> Um, which obviously you hope it's not. But yeah, what should be our next uh Sunny film? >> Please let us know. Um he has a lot We got to watch a lot of movies. >> filmography. >> Yeah. >> And also >> Most Most actors that have been around since the '80s have three to 400 films in their filmography. >> Yeah, I thought um I'm uh Amrish I thought he was a he was a good villain in that He had a lot of good villain brooding moments. >> Oh, yeah. >> Playing the piano. >> And eyes, man, his eyes are always so intense. >> I love the the villain playing the >> I do, and they're all just standing His bad guys, his henchmen, are standing around. And then of course he stops and he has the fiendish laugh. >> [laughter] >> Om Puri's [snorts] always great. KK's always great. >> Yeah. >> Um It's got to be KK. It's got to be >> We're going to just call him KK. >> I'm going to call him KK. Well, it's going to be confusing. So, if I say you have to say Menin KK Menin It's obviously KK Menin. >> Right. >> But, if I'm saying KK from Misa Bar I'm talking about >> Wheelchair KK. >> Um >> [snorts] >> But, um I thought it was a lot of fun. It was a it was it was a good movie. Um I don't think Have we seen one Did we stop one of his movies at all or no? >> I don't think so. >> We've not stopped a Sunny movie. >> I don't think so. >> Uh >> If we did, maybe it was the first one, but I wasn't Border our first Sunny Deol movie? >> Well, it was our first Sunny Deol movie. He's in Dar, which I saw. >> Got it. >> Uh but he's supporting in that. >> Okay. And that's not his film. >> typical >> Right. >> Sunny either. So, like remembering it now, I'm like, that is not You won't get your stereotypical Sunny in that movie. >> No shouting. >> Uh there might be, but I don't cuz he's not the main. >> Yeah. >> He's more of like the supporting. >> Shah Rukh Khan is the main in that one. >> Um, I heard Did Was there some beef in that, too? Because I think he thought he was going to be more of the the main >> Like have more screen time? >> Yeah, and then it turned out to be Shah Rukh Khan's. >> Mhm. >> Cuz Shah Rukh Khan's the kind of like uh crazy in that movie. Um, did I hear something Did somebody tell me something about that? I don't remember. Um especially back in the day, people actors used to get so bent out of shape about >> They still do. >> screen time, lines, and >> I'll never understand >> that. I'm like, "Bro, don't you just care if the movie's good?" >> Nope. It's not about the movie. It's about their star power and Yeah, unfortunately, there's there's too many that think that way. >> thing that most people don't ever have to worry about, but Anyways, you guys can let us know.
