IIL. Did you feel similarly tonight?
>> Um it was pretty good tonight. Um I I
did get away I did get away with one in
the six to Gryom which uh yeah was a
really terrible mistake and I got
fortunate there. Um I did give up
another hit to Neto on a really well
executed one and um but I guess it was
just good enough tonight. They came out
of the gate with a couple swings and
misses, but they seemed to do a better
job with it as the night went on.
>> It seemed like Aaron said he thought you
were sharp overall tonight, but they
really kind of made you work at times.
What was it about their approach?
>> I mean, I mean, I think overall like
this, you know, the body of work looks
good, like 66% strikes. Um, but there
were a lot of counts that I did fall
behind in. And um and then they also put
some good pitches in play which
continued like pressure on us through
the first three innings and um you know
just turned the lineup over a couple
times and gave them more looks and then
they continued to kind of put pressure
on us until they eventually got me out
of the game. So I thought they did
overall a really good job. I thought we
were solid enough for for for the night
and thankfully we scored runs.
and you're on the bench watching the
offense in the first inning and you see
the three runs go up. What are you
thinking with that?
>> I mean, I'm thinking attack, you know,
uh I'm thinking to get to attack the
strike zone um and challenge these guys
right out of the gate. Um you know,
pitched around the double to Neto, but
that was one of those pitches that I'm
talking about. You know, fall behind to
start the game, which wasn't good. And
but that's where you use the three-run
lead to your advantage and and hopefully
you jump ahead of the next few guys
after that. How much growth have you
seen for Spencer since he's been up here
this year?
>> Yeah, I mean Spencer's just keeps
getting a little bit better every game.
He's got great mindset uh in that regard
and he's paying dividends for him.
>> What about your overall body of work to
this point in the season after missing,
you know, last?
>> Yeah, I I mean overall solid, feeling
really good and uh you know, giving us a
chance to win a lot of the time. Um,
still looking to make improvements here
as we get down the stretch.
