Coco Golf versus Sara Beghaliek, is a bit of a strange match up over there in the semi-finals in Cincinnati between 26. Both players have earned their spot in the semi-finals. Beghaliek entered the tournament unseeded and would take on Pliskova in the first round. She had no problem getting through in straight 6-love, 6-2. In the second round, she would take on Krejcikova and after a close first set, would get through in straight 7-6, 6-4. In the third round, she would take on Alexandrova, the 16th seed and after dropping the first set, she fought back to win 4-6, 6-1, 6-2. In the fourth round, she would take on Sabalenka, the world number one and after a close first set, would get through in straight 7-6, 6-4 to advance to the quarter-finals. In the quarter-finals, she would take on Keys, the 20th seed and again, after dropping the first set, she fought back to win 3-6, 6-4, 7-6 to advance to the semi-finals. Golf entered the tournament as the number four seed and had a bye in the first round. In the second round, she would take on Samsonova and after dropping the first set, she fought back to win 2-6, 6-4, 6-1. In the third round, she would take on Li, the 28th seed and after a close second set, would get through in straight 6-1, 7-6. If Golf is going to win this one, she just needs to be patient. We know that she's going to probably get a little frustrated at how good defensively Beghaliek is, but she has played Paolini, so you can probably use a little bit of those game plans. Even though Paolini has troubled Golf in the past, too. So, really got to be patient and try and limit those errors and serve well if she's going to get the win. Fun match up here. This is going to be a little awkward because we know how good Bencic has been. I'm going to go with Gauff though in a close straight sets. I reckon Gauff would just clutch it out.
