Video summary
The Seven Star Quaquaval raid event is currently available for its final run in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, offering players a chance to capture this powerful starter before the event concludes on September 24th. Since this is a rerun of an event from approximately a year ago, it serves as an excellent opportunity for those who missed the initial window to add Quaquaval to their collection without needing any additional DLC content. The video highlights a specific solo build featuring Slowbro, chosen because it is readily available in the base games and likely already owned by experienced raiders. This Slowbro is configured with Psychic typing, holds a Shell Bell for consistent recovery, and possesses perfect Individual Values alongside a Modest nature to maximize its special attack potential.
The battle strategy relies heavily on defensive setup and ability manipulation to overcome Quaquaval's high offensive pressure. Upon entering the raid, Quaquaval immediately sets up Bulk Up to boost its stats, but players are advised to bring an Intimidate partner like Arcanine or Rhyperior to mitigate this early advantage. The core tactic involves using Skill Swap on turn one to remove Quaquaval's Moxy ability, preventing it from gaining attack boosts when knocking out teammates. Following this, the player utilizes Iron Defense repeatedly over turns two through six to raise their defense stat by six stages, creating a sturdy shield against Quaquaval's physical attacks. During this setup phase, healing items like Heal Balls or Stored Power should be used judiciously if health drops too low, especially when Quaquaval activates its Terrastalization counter at the 85% mark of the timer.
Once the defensive buffers are established and Quaquaval's shield breaks around the 75% timer mark, the player shifts to an offensive strategy centered on Nasty Plot and Stored Power. By using Nasty Plot three times between turns seven and nine, the Slowbro boosts its special attack by two stages, allowing it to deal massive damage with every subsequent use of Stored Power. The raid concludes efficiently by spamming Stored Power after turn ten, as the high defense stat ensures survival against Quaquaval's remaining attacks, including its Bulk Up attempts in the final turns. This method is described as highly consistent and reliable for farming event-exclusive items like the Herb Mystic, making it an ideal choice for players aiming to secure multiple copies or hunt for a shiny version of the Pokémon.
In conclusion, this Slowbro build offers a stable and accessible way to solo the Seven Star Quaquaval raid without requiring complex team compositions or rare items. The creator notes that while this approach may not be the fastest possible method, its reliability makes it perfect for farming purposes during the event's limited availability. As the current rerun of the Seven Star starter events comes to an end, viewers are encouraged to decide which Poké Ball they will use to catch their Quaquaval, with the creator personally opting for a Beast Ball for future shiny hunting projects. The video ends by inviting subscribers to stay updated on any future raid announcements or new events, particularly those leading up to the Winds and Waves expansion in 2027, ensuring fans remain informed about upcoming challenges in the Pokémon world.

Hello friends, welcome back to the
channel. The sevenstar terror raid event
for Quakaval is back for its final time
in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. In
today's video, we're going to cover all
of the details as well as the best
Pokemon to solo it in game.
Seven Star Quack will be running from
the 18th until the 24th of September.
This is a rerun of this event from
around a year ago. So, if you missed it
the first time out, this is a perfect
opportunity for you to grab it in game
and add it to your collection. So, the
build that we're featuring in today's
video is going to be Slowb Bro. I've
chosen this one cuz it's available in
the base games, and it's likely if
you've done sevenstar raid events in the
past, you already have a Slowb Bro
built, so this one should be pretty easy
to put together. Terotyping is going to
be psychic. A held item is going to be a
shell bell for a line of recovery
throughout the raid. It's level 100. And
of course, all of its IVs have been
hyper trained, so they're all set to 31.
The move set, pretty straightforward.
skill swap, iron defense, nasty plot,
and then stored power. And the EV
spread, 252 EVs in HP and in defense
with the remainder put into special
attack and a modest nature. The ability
here doesn't really matter. Oblivious is
fine, but any one of the three abilities
on the Slowb Bro will work. So, it
should look like this once you've got it
built in game. And the build as always
will be down in the description. So, if
you want to check it out after the
video, be my guest. And we'll jump into
the raid now. will take on sevenstar
mightiest Mark Quackaval. So, when you
first come into the raid against
Sevenstar Quackal on turn zero before
the raid begins, it's going to set up a
bulk up that's boosting its attack and
its defense by one stage. Now, it is
preferable if you have an intimidate
partnering Pokemon on your side of the
field, something like Arcanine,
Starraptor, or Taurus. Very helpful, but
not essential for this raid. Now, turn
one, we're going to start off with a
skill swap, and that's to primarily
remove the Moxy ability on this Quakal.
So once it does start knocking out
partnering Pokemon, it isn't getting an
attack boost each and every time it does
that. On turn two, we're going to set
ourselves up our first iron defense.
Now, this gives us a plus two to our
defense. And just during this early part
of the raid, it allows us to take hits
from the quaval a lot easier. Turn
three, we're going to lock in with a
sword power. That's primarily just to
wait on this next notification that's
coming up and chip down at our
tasalization counter. And as you see
after turn three, round turn three, turn
four, you'll see this notification pop
up around 85% of the raid timer to
nullify stats and abilities on our side
of the field. And this is the only time
it's going to do this during this raid.
Now turn four, we're free now to start
setting up. We want to lock in with an
iron defense. And we do this for turns
four, five, and six. Essentially taking
our defense stat to plus six after that
turn six when we've used it three times.
Now, during this setup, I am just going
to say if your health gets too low, if
you take a critical hit or if you've
taken just too much damage in general,
just use a heal chair to get some of
that health that you've lost back. They
are there to use, so may as well use
them in this raid. After you've used
three iron defenses, you're going to go
for turn 7 8 9 for three nasty plots.
This is going to boost your special
attack by two stages every time you use
this attack. And again, the same sort of
principles apply. If your health is
lowered anytime when you're setting
yourself up during this process, just
use a heal chair or even a stored power.
Just hit a stored power. The shield will
go up on around 75% of the raid timer.
So, if you are using a stored power to
heal some health, just bear in mind even
though you have got these boosts, you
won't be getting as much health back as
you potentially would be with a heal
chair. So, just make that decision
wisely to make sure that you aren't
getting knocked out during this raid.
74% of the raid timer will set up a rain
dance, but that's not really going to
worry us too much pre-terrailization
being a part water type anyway. And once
you have got those three iron defense,
three nasty plot set up, we're in a
great position to start firing off
stored powers. So turn 10, you want to
use stored power. Turn 11, you want to
use another stored power. And then on
turn 12, you should be in a position
where you can terraelize and then just
lock in with that stored power. And from
here on out, you've done all the hard
work. All you're going to be doing is
spamming stored power once that shield's
broke. It should take a couple more
after that. There are some notifications
that will pop up during these remaining
turns where it will use a bulk up, but
it's not really going to worry you too
much cuz we've boosted that defense to
plus six already, so you should be in a
good place just to close this game out.
And slow a really consistent way to run
through this raid. It's not the
quickest, but it is very consistent.
Like I say, if you're planning on
farming this event over the next week
when it's running for the high cost
items, the herb mystic and things like
that, then this is a perfect build that,
like we've said, is available in the
base games. You're going to have no
trouble getting it. Don't need the DLC
to pick this up either. And if this is
the first time you're picking up
Sevenstar Quacal in game, let me know
which Pokeball you decided to get it in.
I originally got mine in a Beast Ball. I
think the color matches pretty nicely
with the Quacal and it it is going to be
a nice project at some point to try and
shiny hunt for a shiny Quaxley in that
beast ball. But let me know what you
picked to grab yours in. If you found
the build in today's video helpful,
please consider dropping a like on the
video. Do subscribe to the channel as
well to stay up to date with all of our
Pokémon content. And with this sevenstar
Quackaval Terror event, it has come to
the end of the rerun for the sevenstar
starter Pokémon. So, I don't know what
is going to be planned next, if we are
going to get any new terror events
coming in the coming weeks, months, or
in the run-up to Winds and Waves when
that does drop at some point in 2027.
But know that if anything does get
announced, we will cover it here on the
channel. We will cover our best build as
well, as we have done throughout all of
the Sevenstar Terido in Scarlet and
Violet. Thank you so much for tuning in,
friends. Have a great rest of your day.
Enjoy the Quakal event when it's running
and I'll see you all in another video
very soon.
