FERRIS BUELLER’S DAY OFF (1986) | FIRST TIME WATCHING | THE PERFECT DAY OFF?!
Watch on YouTubeVideo summary
In this first-time viewing reaction to the 1986 classic *Ferris Bueller's Day Off*, the hosts explore a story that blends humor with genuine character development. The film opens with Ferris successfully faking an illness to skip school, using classic tactics like clammy hands and moaning to deceive his parents and teachers, while his friend Cameron joins him despite being stressed about graduation and missing out on life experiences. Ferris's father is portrayed as someone who loves his vintage Ferrari more than his family, neglecting to lock the garage or address marital issues, which sets the stage for Ferris stealing the car to show Cameron around Chicago. Their adventure includes visits to a museum and a fancy restaurant where they meet a waitress named Genie, but the plot thickens when Principal Rooney discovers the truancy issue and confronts them.
The narrative takes a chaotic turn involving a fake grandmother, a police chase, and a high-speed drive home that ends with the Ferrari crashing through a window due to running out of gas. Throughout these events, the hosts appreciate the film's lack of heavy plot structure, describing it as a fun hang-out movie similar to *Stand By Me*, while commenting on specific details like the car's mileage and Chicago sports references that favor the Bears over the Cubs. A particularly notable moment occurs after the car falls out the window, where Ferris remains remarkably calm rather than panicking, contrasting sharply with Cameron's anxiety; this dynamic is further balanced by the female lead who embodies traits of both characters. The siblings' rivalry eventually resolves into mutual support, reflecting realistic family dynamics, while Principal Rooney stands out as a favorite character due to his comedic beatings and humorous confusion about who he is addressing.
Beyond the comedy, the video highlights how the film serves as a beautiful love letter to Chicago, offering a visual alternative to travel in the 1980s that viewers find familiar and engaging. The hosts note the recognition of actor Matthew Broderick as Ferris and observe that the actor playing Cameron resembles Sheldon from *The Big Bang Theory*, adding layers of familiarity for the audience. While some viewers find Principal Rooney's extreme measures to ensure Ferris's education excessive, others appreciate his caring intent behind the chaos. The group also jokes about the contrast between leaving children with strangers from *The Shining* versus the movie's depiction of the city, emphasizing the film's unique charm and its ability to capture the spirit of a perfect day off.
Ultimately, the reaction concludes with the realization that the story is primarily about Cameron's coming-of-age journey rather than just Ferris, shifting the focus to themes of growth and responsibility. The hosts wrap up by discussing their enjoyment of the film's blend of humor, character depth, and setting, while expressing interest in similar movies that capture a carefree yet meaningful atmosphere. They end the video with a call for recommendations of comparable films and announce upcoming TV show reactions, including *Supernatural*, *Band of Brothers*, and *Sons of Anarchy*, inviting viewers to engage with their future content.

What's up, guys? Welcome back to the
channel, man. So, we're finally watching
Ferris Buer's Day Off, and I've never
seen it. Have you ever seen this?
>> Nope.
>> I don't even know who Ferris Buer is.
>> My dad's recommended it a lot.
>> You know how like, you know, characters
throughout uh like movie history like
PeeWee Herman and stuff? Yeah.
>> I don't know who Ferris Buer is.
>> Me either.
>> Like, I've seen the movie cover so I
recognize the guy's face, but I don't
think I've ever seen like a scene from
this movie or anything.
>> Yeah, I know.
>> Like, genuinely, I don't think I've ever
seen nothing. All right, so this is
probably going to be one of our blinder
reactions we've ever went in. Hopefully
you guys enjoy this movie, man. If you
do like, comment, subscribe, hit us up
on Patreon. We got the full and cat.
>> Hit us up on Patreon. We got the full
uncut reaction over there. We don't have
no cats over there.
>> All right. Uh, like, comments. What
else? What else can I say? [laughter]
That's all I got to say, guys. Uh,
hopefully you guys have been having a
good week. All right. Now that you did
all that, get you something to drink.
Let's go.
>> It is a beautiful day up in the sky.
Dondell sky view traffic.
>> Oh, it's driveway or whatever. What's
wrong?
>> What's wrong? For Christ's sake, look at
him. Honey,
>> what the fris?
>> He doesn't have a fever, but he says his
stomach hurts and he's seeing spots.
>> Papa.
>> Honey, feel his hands. They're cold and
clammy.
>> I have a test today.
>> No, I have to take it.
>> Wait, is he like a high schooler?
>> Honey, you're not going to school like
this now. What's this? What's his
problem? He doesn't feel well.
>> Yeah, right. Try that one out. You can
fertilize the lawn. Genie,
>> I can't see that far.
>> Bite the big one, Junior. Thank you,
Genie. You get to school.
>> Are you letting him stay home?
>> Genie, please don't be upset with me.
You have your health. Be thankful.
>> Oh, that's it. I want out of this
family.
>> I can relate to her.
>> Maybe I'll have an aspirin around noon.
[laughter]
My office will know just where I am if
you need me. Okay.
>> It's nice to know [music] that I have
such loving, caring parents.
>> You're both very special people.
>> So, he's about to play hookie.
>> Is he working them?
>> 100%. [laughter]
I'll be home at 6 sharp. If you need
anything,
>> call.
Call if you need us.
>> They bought it.
He broke the fourth wall.
>> Oh my god, that just blew my ear holes
off. One of the worst performances of my
career and they never doubted it for a
second.
>> Hey, that was a really cool window like
in the corner.
>> This is my ninth sick day this semester.
It's getting pretty tough coming up with
new illnesses. The key to faking out the
parents is the clammy hands. It's a good
non-specific symptom. A lot of people
will tell you that a good phony fever is
a deadlock. But uh [music] you get a
nervous mother. You could wind up in a
doctor's office. That's worse than
school. You fake a stomach cramp,
moaning and whailing. You lick your
palms. It's a little childish and
stupid, but then so is high school.
>> This is like Ned's declassified
>> and Deadpool.
>> I do have a test today. [music] It's on
European socialism. I'm not European. I
don't plan on being European. [music]
So, who gives a crap if they're
socialists? They could be fascist
anarchists. It still wouldn't change the
fact that I don't own a car.
>> I don't know what to think about Ferris.
[laughter]
>> He has an odd name. I know that. Ferris.
>> It's not that I condone fascism. A
person should not believe in an ism. He
should believe in himself. I quote John
Lennon. I don't believe in Beatles. I
just believe in me. After all, he was
the walrus. I could be the walrus. I'd
still have to bum riots off of people.
>> Just put some damn pants on. He wants a
car.
>> Anderson, here.
>> Buler.
>> Um, he's sick. My best friend's sister's
boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard
from this guy who knows this kid who's
going with the girl who saw Ferris pass
out at 31 Flavors last night.
>> I guess it's pretty serious.
>> Fry.
>> Hey, Ben Stein is like perfect for a
teacher cuz he's so monotone. Yeah,
>> that was just like
>> Cameron babe, what's happening? [music]
>> Very little.
>> How do you feel?
Shredded.
>> Is your mother in the room?
>> She's indicator. [music] Unfortunately,
she's not staying.
>> She's indicator wears greater.
>> I'm taking the day off now. Get dressed
and come on [music] over.
>> Sandals up.
>> I feel like complete Ferris. I
can't go anywhere.
>> Come on over here and pick me up.
>> Oh, he must have a ride or something.
[laughter]
>> If anybody needs a day off, it's
Cameron. He has a lot of things to sort
out before he graduates. Can't be wound
up this tight and go to college. His
roommate will kill him. [laughter]
Cameron [clears throat] is so tight that
if you stuck a lump of coal up his ass
in two weeks you'd have a diamond.
[laughter]
>> What?
>> Then you are aware that your son is not
in school today?
>> Yes, I am. Ferris is homesick.
>> He has missed an unacceptable number of
school days. In the opinion of this
educator, Ferris is not taking his
academic growth seriously.
>> Duh. [laughter]
I have no reservation about holding him
back another year.
>> This is all news to me.
>> So far this semester, he has been absent
nine times.
>> Oh my god.
>> I don't remember him being sick nine
times.
>> Wake up and smell the coffee, Mrs.
Beller. It's a fool's paradise. He has
missed nine days.
>> Wait, what? How's it moving?
>> What?
>> I asked for a car. I got a computer. Oh,
he's like Neo. He's hacking.
>> That guy had tums and a mento. IS SHE
SNIFFING GLUE?
>> GRACE.
>> In Ferris's case, I can assure you he is
truly a very sick boy.
>> Never had one lesson.
In 1930, the Republican controlled House
of Representatives in an effort to
alleviate the effects of the Great
Depression passed the Holly Smoot Tariff
Act, which raised tariffs in an effort
to collect more revenue for the federal
government. Did it work? Anyone know the
effects? It did not work and the United
States sank deeper into the Great
Depression.
>> That would be horrible.
>> I like his voice.
>> The sleep
you will get exactly the same amount of
revenue.
>> That was me, boy.
[music]
>> I'll be honest. I thought this guy was
like 27 [laughter] and I thought he was
getting a day off from work.
>> Me, too, actually. [laughter]
>> Well, who said he's sick? A bunch of
people. They said he's like on the verge
of death. This guy in my biology class
said that if Ferris dies, he's giving
his eyes to Stevie Wonder.
Did you see alien when that uh creature
was in that guy's stomach?
It kind of feels like that
freshman.
>> We appreciate you letting us know how
you're doing.
>> I hope he doesn't die. Can't handle
summer school.
>> Dang, they got payoneses in their halls.
>> And I guess he does hacking. That's why
he's getting him out of summer school.
>> Hi Ferris. How's your bud?
>> Oh my god, you're dying.
>> Uh-oh.
>> Is it serious?
>> Uh, I don't know. I hope not. I think I
may need a kidney transplant.
>> Think you'll be alive this weekend?
>> Yeah, I'd say I will.
>> Great. Maybe I'll see you. Bye.
>> We had those though. [clears throat]
>> What?
>> Payones
>> in your school? In your high school?
>> My middle school.
>> You had payoneses in your middle school?
>> Yeah. One time I needed to my volleyball
pads and I had to make sure I had 75
cents. Call my mom.
>> That is so crazy. That's so
>> Cell phones then.
>> Yeah, but like our principal had a
phone, but I didn't. We didn't have
freaking
>> Yeah, but you think
>> you're in middle school. You don't need
to be calling people.
>> I had to call my mom.
>> That's so crazy. Did you have to put
quarters in it?
>> Yeah, I said 75 cents.
>> Damn. You had 75 cents in middle school?
>> Oh my god.
>> I didn't start having that type of money
till high school.
>> I mean, I just ground it up.
>> What is so dangerous about a character
like Ferris Beller is he gives good kids
bad ideas. He jeopardizes my ability to
effectively govern this student body.
>> Makes you look like an ass is what he
does. Ed.
>> Thank you, Grace.
>> Oh, well, he's very popular, Ed. The
sportos, the motorheads, geeks,
bloods, wasttoids, dweebies,
>> Thanks.
>> They all adore him. They think he's a
righteous dude.
>> She said
>> That is why I have got to catch him this
time to show these kids that the example
he sets is a first class ticket to
nowhere.
>> You sounded like dirty hairy just then.
Who's that?
>> Cameron, this is my ninth sick day. If I
get caught, I won't graduate.
>> So talented.
>> Take some Pepto-Bismol, get dressed, and
come on over here. Oh, shut up. Hold
your water for a second. I got another
call. Hello,
>> Ferris. You sound terrible.
>> Really? Darn. I thought I was improving.
[laughter]
>> I forgot how to switch over. What button
do you press? All this talking has made
me kind of laded. I think I ought to lie
down.
>> Take a hot bath and then wrap a hot
towel around your head. Make yourself
some soup. Get a nap. Love you, pal.
>> I love you, too. I'm so disappointed in
Cameron. 20 bucks as he's sitting in his
car debating about whether or not he
should go out.
>> He'll keep calling me until I come over.
This is ridiculous. Okay, I'll go. I'll
go.
>> Cameron's a little neurotic, ISN'T HE?
GOD DAMN IT.
>> WELL,
>> forget it. That's it.
>> He has an interesting house.
>> Why'd he rev it up like that, though?
>> In what way
does the author's use of the prison?
>> They love that class.
>> Uh, Mr. Norman, may I interrupt, please?
Uh, Sloan Peterson,
may I have a word with you, dear?
>> She put her coat on, which is a cute
coat, by the way.
>> Your grandmother has just passed.
[sighs]
>> What?
>> She's obviously lying, right?
>> I had Florence Sparrow notify Sloan.
Poor little lamb.
>> Little lamb.
>> I do see her with Ferris Beller quite a
little bit.
>> Oh, you think he lied and got her out of
school?
>> Get me Mr. Peterson's daytime number,
please. This guy's like fairly hot
parents.
>> He's like slackers.
>> Slackers.
>> We've had a bit of bad luck this
morning, as you may have heard.
>> Yeah, I heard. And oh, I'm all broken
up. Boy, what a blow.
>> Yeah,
>> what a blow.
>> If you wouldn't mind excusing Sloan, I'd
uh appreciate it.
>> Oh, sure. You You just produce a corpse
and uh I'll release Sloan. I want to see
this dead grandmother.
>> It's all right, Grace. It's Ferris
Buler, a little twerp.
>> What if it's not? What if it's not? Just
uh roll her old bones on over here and
I'll dig up your daughter. Uh was this
your mother?
>> No, my wife's mother.
>> Ed Rooney's office.
>> Hi, this is Trace [laughter] Buer. Can I
speak to Mr. Rooney, please?
>> So, it's not God, your voice just scared
me.
>> Tell you what,
You don't like my policies, you can just
come on down here and smooch my big old
white butt. I can't. There is online
too.
>> He sound like he was talking to Veto
Coral Coralone too
>> a little bit. Yeah.
>> I'm not feeling very well today and I
was wondering if it might be possible
for my sister to bring home any
assignments for my classes.
>> Oh my god.
>> Mr. Peterson, you know, I I I think I
owe you an apology, sir.
>> Well, I should say you do.
[snorts]
>> A family member dies and you insult me.
What the hell is the matter with you
anyway?
>> Uh uh [laughter] uh. Well, you I thought
I was talking to somebody else.
>> You know, sir, that I would never
deliberately insult you like that. I
>> PARDON MY FRENCH, BUT YOU'RE an
>> You're absolutely right, sir. You've hit
the mail right in the head.
>> This isn't over yet, Buster. Do you read
me [laughter]
>> now? I'm I'm a little scared cuz what if
what if he recognizes my voice?
>> Possible. You're doing great.
>> That has him so stressed out.
>> He checked out. Oh, just [laughter]
>> they're calling out too.
>> I want my daughter out in FRONT OF THE
SCHOOL IN 10 MINUTES BY HERSELF. I DON'T
WANT ANYBODY. It's too suspicious. I'll
think something's up. Cover it. YOU
>> I WANT YOU OUT IN FRONT OF THE SCHOOL
WITH HER. I'D LIKE TO HAVE A FEW WORDS
with you. By God,
>> ON SECOND THOUGHT, WE DON'T HAVE TIME TO
TALK RIGHT NOW. WE'LL GET TOGETHER SOON
AND WE'LL have lunch.
>> He like almost landed it, too, but then
he like messed up at the end. Completely
went off the rails. How can we pick up
Sloan if Rooney is there with her? I
said for her to be there alone and you
freaked. [laughter]
>> That kind of sounds like how you act.
>> Look, don't ask me to participate in
your stupid crap if you don't like the
way I do it. You make me get out of bed.
You make me make a phony phone call to
Edward Rooney. And then you deliberately
hurt my feelings.
>> What's the suspenders?
>> Come on. No. Come. No. Come on. Don't do
that. I didn't mean to lose my temper.
I'm sorry. Sorry, it was uncalled for.
>> Yeah, you're the one with the car. We
got to make up with you.
[laughter]
>> He's trying to look like he's not
running.
>> Is the principal the best character
>> so far?
>> You did screw up though. To fix the
situation, I'm going to have to ask you
for a small favor.
>> The 1961 Ferrari.
[music]
>> Wait, who's that's his Ferrari? That's
his dad's. My father spent 3 years
restoring this car. It is his love. It
is his fault he didn't lock the garage.
My father loves his car more than life
itself. A man with priorities so far out
of whack doesn't deserve such a fine
automobile.
>> I think Ferris's dad treats him a little
too nice.
>> Right. I would have to whoop some ass.
>> Hell yeah.
>> He never drives it. He just rubs it with
a diaper. Remember how insane he went
when I broke my retainer? [laughter]
>> Well, those things are expensive.
Cameron, I'm sorry, but we can't pick up
Sloan in your car. Mr. Rooney would
never believe Mr. Peterson drives that
piece of
>> Don't worry about it. I don't even have
a piece of I have to envy yours.
>> Why are they dressed so different?
>> Just to show how different they are.
They have two completely different
personalities, don't they?
>> He knows the mileage. Ferris, whatever
miles we put on, we'll take off. How?
We'll drive home backwards.
>> Forget it. You're just going to have to
think of something else.
How about we RUN A NICE CADILLAC? WE
JUST CALL A little
>> I hope they put the car up cuz I don't
want to stress this car the whole movie.
>> Me too.
>> They're not going to have time to detail
it for for the dag is on.
>> I had a grandmother once, too. Actually,
>> you will have [laughter] to
>> between grief and nothing. I'll take
grief.
He looks like Inspector Gadget.
>> Hurry along now.
>> I guess that's my dad.
>> Thank [laughter] you.
>> Got to go. I want to thank you for your
warmth and compassion.
>> Great. Anyone?
>> Do you have a kiss for daddy?
>> Are you kidding?
>> Oh. Whoa. Whoa.
[laughter]
Hi, Cameron. You comfortable?
>> Hi, Sloan. No.
>> What are we going to do?
>> Please don't say we're not going to take
the car home. Please don't.
>> If you had access to a car like this,
would you take it back right away?
>> Yeah.
>> Neither would I.
>> I would. I I wouldn't be able to. I'd
hit a curb.
>> Nervous.
>> Yeah. I love that cuz the the guy's son
is so nervous, you know.
>> Yeah, he is. Oh, look at that old
baseball field. A Oh, we're in Chicago.
[music]
I didn't even know that.
>> What's its nickname? The Windy City or
something like that.
>> Yeah, the Windy City. Don't your sister
go there a lot?
>> Yeah, she loves it there.
>> Ferris. God.
Fiser.
>> See, we're collecting money to buy
Ferris Buer new kidney. They run about
50 G's or so. So, if you could help out,
>> go piss up a flag pole.
>> HEY. HEY. I wonder if YOU NEED A FAVOR
SOMEDAY from Ferris Buer. THEN WHERE
WILL YOU BE? HUH? You heartless wench.
[laughter]
>> She's kind of aggressive, isn't she?
>> They're rivals apparently. [laughter]
>> That's like me and my sister.
>> She can't come to the phone right now.
We've had a death in a family.
>> Ferris Buer's behind this. There is no
doubt in my mind. And now he's got Sloan
Peterson involved in this thing.
>> Oh no.
>> Her grandmother, too.
>> You pinthead. I did not achieve this
position in life by having some
snot-nosed punk leave my cheese out in
the wind.
>> What?
It's the Cland [music] Brothers
Mortuary. We'll get back to you as soon
as is humanly possible.
>> That music though in the background.
>> Yeah, something's [clears throat] going
on. God damn it. I'm going to find out
what it is. He is going to remember
Edward Rooney.
>> So, he's skipped school nine times
officially. He and I guess he can't do
it again cuz then he's going to have
real consequences.
>> No, he hacked the computer. So,
>> you don't think he'll put it back
though? He can't like change it. It
seems like this is like his last little
hurrah. So, he's got to go all out.
[laughter]
>> We're not leaving the car here. I want
the car back home where it belongs right
now. Come on, let's go.
>> What's going to happen to it? It's in a
garage.
>> It could get wrecked, stolen. A pigeon
could on it. Who knows?
>> Listen, going to give the guy a fiverr
to watch it.
>> A fiverr?
>> A five here? I'm going to give him a
five here.
>> Oh, you speak English?
>> Oh, what country do you think this is?
[laughter]
>> He looks like James Franco.
>> I want you to take extra special care of
this vehicle.
>> Hey, no problem.
>> Great. Relax.
If I was him, I would just take the car
home and leave Ferris. Oh,
>> you fellas have nothing to worry about.
>> He's about to drive that thing.
>> I would be so annoyed if my son pretty
much got my car stolen cuz like a
minimal amount of peer pressure.
[laughter] Like,
>> uh-oh.
>> Uh-oh. Oh, you're in trouble.
>> Who's in his place?
>> Oh my god, he's got something rigged up.
>> Yeah, that's what he was doing when he
was talking to the fourth wall once.
>> I saw him wrap the little string around
it, but I didn't see that. I didn't
realize what he was doing.
>> Oh my god.
Hey, this kid's got a lot of titties in
his room. Hold on. Look. You see these
titties?
>> Yeah. And then there's someone doing it
over there.
>> My parents wouldn't have let me have
that many titties in my room. They
[clears throat] got on to me.
>> You couldn't even like just print it out
back then. You had to actually acquire
that.
>> Ferris, you think the car is all right?
>> Sure. Here, climb up on this camera.
>> No.
>> Lean forward against the glass like
this.
>> The city looks so peaceful from up here.
I think I see my dad.
>> We got a lot to do. Let's go.
>> Son of a is down there somewhere.
>> He can't even enjoy his day. He's so
paranoid.
>> I would be too, man.
>> You want to get married?
>> Sure.
>> Today.
>> I'm not getting married.
>> Besides being too young, having no place
to live,
>> and you don't have a car yet.
>> Give me one good reason why not.
>> I can give you two good reasons why not.
My mother and my father, they're married
and they hate each other.
>> So what? Well, it's like that car. He
loves the car. He hates his wife.
>> So, he did that noise.
>> Yeah. I can't tell if that kid is
actually like not feeling good today or
if he's like a hypochondric.
>> I'm leaning towards like hypochondric
>> cuz he was like in his bed. Now he's out
and about.
>> Yeah.
>> Making weird noises.
>> Can we please get the hell out of here?
>> This place gives me creeps.
Party of three for 12. You're Abe
Froman. That's right.
>> The sausage king of Chicago.
[laughter]
>> Yeah.
>> I'm very busy here. Why don't you take
the kids and go back to the clubhouse?
>> Are you suggesting that I'm not who I
say I am?
>> I'm suggesting that you leave before I
have to get snoody.
>> Snoody?
>> Snaughty?
>> Snotty?
>> Listen, young man. Either you take the
field trip outside or I'm going to have
to call the police.
>> Fine. As a matter of fact, I'll call him
myself.
This guy's a zesty bag of freaking
fries, ain't he?
>> He just called 71.
>> I weep for the future.
>> Isn't he like just like a host?
[laughter]
Like I know he's dressed nice, but
>> be if I'm going to get busted, it is not
going to be by a guy like that.
>> Messy to Abe Fman, the sausage king of
Chicago.
>> Could you describe him for me, please?
>> Leather jacket, white t-shirt, sweater
vest. [laughter]
But I tell you,
>> these kids are running laps with this
technology, ain't they?
>> This is Sergeant Peterson, Chicago
Police.
>> Oh, no. Not this guy.
>> I appreciate your understanding. It's
understanding that makes it possible for
people like us to tolerate a person like
yourself.
>> Damn. [laughter]
>> Maybe I'm overreacting. Maybe Ferris
isn't such a [music] bad guy. But still,
why should he get to do whatever he
wants whenever he [music] wants? What
makes him so goddamn special?
>> Screw him.
>> I used to think that my family was the
only one that had weirdness in it. Then
I saw how Cameron's family functioned.
>> A
>> that's why he's sick all the time.
>> Guys, not to interrupt, but sometimes I
have to rock the club, man. I'm not
going to lie, cuz my granddaddy wore it.
>> I've always wondered why do them guys
have that comb in that water like that.
>> Is that only it sets your hair right? or
sanitize it. I don't know.
>> The place is like a museum. You're not
allowed to touch anything. I caught
[clears throat] Cameron digging the ride
once or twice. It's good for him. It
teaches him to deal with his fear.
>> Oh, cotton.
>> I love driving it. It is so choice.
>> Thank you.
>> Yes, sir. Mint.
>> I I understand they're in a fancy place,
but
>> is that not his dad?
>> Oh, it is. Oh my god, that was close.
>> Is Mr. Rooney in?
>> No, I'm sorry, he's not. Can I help you?
>> When's he back?
>> I don't know. He's left the school
grounds on personal business.
>> She reminds me of the lady of Harry
Potter.
>> Oh, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I was going
to say I would be so angry if I had to
tip in the bathroom. [laughter]
>> I hate tipping culture.
>> If you want to sell, you have to spin.
>> 4,000 restaurants in the downtown area.
I picked the one my father goes to. Only
the meat get pinched. The bolts survive.
Let's go.
>> But I'm telling you that that's not the
case.
>> We don't have the money. We don't have
the money. Dave,
>> we're going to go heavy on TV. Lighten
up on the radio on the fridge. Okay.
He's got the money. Come on back to my
house. He's got
>> He had no idea.
>> Paris is wild. I'd have went around the
corner
>> and all he did was put that hat on.
[laughter]
>> No, but he changed his whole entire like
country of origin when he put that thing
on. I love that tutor store house back
there.
>> Whatever that is. That's so cool.
>> Oh my god. [laughter]
Does he think they'll be here or
something?
>> Yeah, cuz it's like a cheap ass little
pizza spot
>> and they were like in that fancy
restaurant.
>> Translation,
your ass is mine.
>> Uh-oh.
[music]
I think you liked it. Oh, never mind.
[laughter]
>> He's the king of misunderstanding.
>> Did you hear that sound effect
[laughter] like on Pac-Man when you get
caught?
>> Oh my god, that looks so good.
>> There's a drive left field. Twisty foul
territory.
[laughter]
Lee Smith.
>> Oh, it's the Braves playing
>> and he missed it. He missed it.
>> Who's winning?
>> The Bears.
>> I thought the Bears.
Yeah, I thought Caleb Williams played
for the Bears.
>> I thought he's playing with us. I think
he was like just being a buttthead.
>> Obviously, cuz the Cubs No, no, I get it
now. Sorry, guys. I'm stupid. Because
the Cubs suck. So, he said, "Who's
winning?" He goes, "The Bears." Because
he's like, "They don't even mention the
Cubs." You know what I mean? They focus
on the Chicago Bears. I was thinking
maybe he was calling it like also a bear
cuz it's it's a cub. So they just call
their whole town I don't know. Maybe
it's a Chicago thing. I'm not from
there.
>> Kennedy. Kennedy Kenneth.
>> What is wrong with THAT GUY?
>> COME ON BOY. LET'S GO.
>> THAT team doesn't have one good runner.
They're going to suck. [laughter] It's
going to be a bad team.
[bell]
>> Who is it?
We just know that something's rigged up.
>> I'm sorry. I can't come to the door
right now.
>> Save it, Ferris. Come down here.
>> Thank you for stopping by. I appreciate
your concern for my well-being.
>> I am not leaving till you come down and
talk to me, Ferris. You're in big
trouble, Buster.
>> He wouldn't break in.
>> I don't [clears throat] know. He's kind
of psycho.
>> Who is it?
>> Know goddamn well who it is.
>> Oh, I'm sorry. I can't come to the door
right now. [laughter]
>> I can take a nasty spill down the stairs
and subject myself to further school.
He's
>> like Home Alone.
>> Yeah, I I felt the same way.
>> Feels like he's trying to sell him a
roof. He's always
[music]
>> He's the original Pey Blinders.
>> He sounds like a Minecraft villager.
>> Ew. Don't go in that house.
>> Wash it off.
A
>> that happened to you the other day. The
hose got away from you.
>> Yeah. The extension's not on the end.
It's just like the, you know, like the
hose how it's supposed to be. It's like
[laughter]
>> [laughter]
>> Oh my gosh.
>> How do we get the Star Wars music on
here?
[snorts]
[laughter]
Too bad ring cameras didn't exist.
[laughter]
>> [groaning]
>> Hey, doggy.
I don't know.
>> You're in his house, though.
>> Kids that age these days would never do
that.
>> I know.
>> Why are you holding his hand? That's
cringe. [laughter]
A
Was
that nipples?
>> Some big titties.
[music]
>> Which one was your fave?
That one?
Cuz it got a big butt on it.
>> I like them vanos. I don't know. Didn't
he tell me before this is all just
moneyaundering? [laughter]
>> Oh, I like that one. [music]
[laughter]
>> Is that you?
Why does he look [music] so tortured?
>> He's like looking so deep into that
thing.
>> There's nothing in there. It's like a
blank expression.
>> It's getting late, buddy. We better go
get the car back home.
>> What?
>> What do you We have a few hours.
Cameron, what have you seen today?
>> Nothing good.
>> We've seen everything good. We've seen
the whole city. We went to a museum. We
saw priceless works of art.
>> The pancreas. So what? What's wrong?
>> What? What?
>> Who is it?
[laughter]
>> Cameron is clutch.
[laughter]
He minded his business on that one. He
said, "What a little weirdo in this
[laughter] cab.
>> He's doing too much. I would have done
went back." It It's not worth it at that
point.
>> Oh, Kevin. He didn't ditch us or
anything. He's here.
>> We know he went back to school. Ladies
and gentlemen, you're such a wonderful
crowd. We'd like to play a little tune
for you, but I'd like to dedicate it to
a young man who doesn't think he's seen
anything good today. Camera Fry, this
one's for you.
>> They're going to play him on TV.
[laughter]
>> He's having a day.
>> This is one of the damnest movies I've
ever seen. This is crazy. Paris can do
anything.
>> I don't know what I'm going to do.
>> What are YOU INTERESTED IN?
>> NOTHING.
>> YEAH, he didn't see anything good today.
>> That's how I felt when I was in high
school. I didn't have any interest
really. I mean, like I had a lot of
interest, but not anything like I wanted
to do for a career.
>> Yeah. [snorts]
>> What do you think Ferris is going to do?
>> A
>> He's dressed like he belongs up there,
though.
>> I know.
[music]
Are they on
>> Are they like on roller skates?
>> That's what I was thinking.
[music]
>> He's just starting this like whole dance
session.
>> Yeah. [laughter]
[music]
>> I love how synchronized they are though.
[music]
>> Did you hear that flip back here?
>> I wish I was there that day. It looks so
happy.
[music]
>> Uhoh. He's like, "What's all this
commotion out there?" [laughter]
>> And it's just the sun causing all of it.
[laughter]
>> That's the longest I've watched someone
[music] lip sync.
>> Okay. Okay. Now we got to bounce.
>> But I got to wonder how did you get up
there? [laughter]
>> How does he have so much confidence in
high school? Jeez.
>> I guess when you don't have a car.
>> [laughter]
>> This principal's impulses will get him
every time.
[laughter]
>> All in one day.
>> Sleep tight, push.
>> Oh,
>> you think he'll team up?
>> That would scare me.
>> Well, do you know where she is? Do you
know when she'll be back? Do you know
anything?
>> How scary would that be, though?
>> I can't believe her stairs aren't
squeaking. One of the damnest pairs of
stairs I've ever seen. [clears throat]
>> Ferris
>> Beller.
[screaming]
[laughter]
>> Wait, did she do a triple kick or did it
show up from different angles?
>> It was the action shot. [laughter] They
don't like to waste those.
You know, like when they do an explosion
that costs like 700 grand and they show
like 10 different angles of it. It's
like,
>> do you realize how many people saw you?
>> You're nailed.
>> Besides, anybody who would nail me
wouldn't go to a parade.
>> That was so quick.
>> Is there a ticket in there?
>> This looks okay to me, Cameron. Looks
great. Let's roll. Nice job. Thank you.
>> Yeah. See you later.
>> Yeah. You never know what they're doing
to your car when it's in their care. Our
car got towed one time and I sat there
and watched the guy. He grabbed it and
slammed it as hard as he could to try to
make this girl laugh. Remember?
>> Oh, yeah.
>> Yeah, I remember that.
>> There is an intruder male [laughter]
Caucasian in my kitchen. Look, it's real
nice that you hope my brother's feeling
better, but I'm in danger. Okay. I am
very cute. I need help.
>> They're more worried about her brother.
>> But how did she not know that was her
principal?
>> I don't know. Good question. Maybe she
don't see the principal cuz she's a good
kid.
>> Yeah, true.
>> That's why she's so angry cuz she does.
Right.
>> Whoever's in the house is still in the
house. I'd like you to know that I have
just called the police. I'd also like to
add that I have my father's gun and a
scorching case of herpes.
>> That part scared him more.
>> Yeah.
>> Wait, wait, WAIT. THAT'S MY CAR. I'LL
MOVE IT.
>> That was stupid.
>> What a bad day.
How many miles did you say this thing
had on it when we left?
126 and halfway between 3 and 410.
>> That ain't good.
>> This guy is driving it.
>> They didn't put no gas back in it.
[screaming]
>> The statues are perfect.
>> I heard that you were feeling ill. I
came to help restore your pluck cuz I'm
the nurse who likes to.
>> They hired all that Ram.
>> They are trying to take care of my boy.
>> I think Cameron might have blown a
microchip or two. [laughter]
>> All I wanted to do was give him a good
day. We're going to graduate in a couple
of months and then we'll have the
summer. [music] We'll see each other at
night and on the weekends. Then he'll go
to one school and I'll go to another.
[music] Basically, that will be it.
>> That's so true.
>> She still has another year of high
school. How do I deal with that? I was
serious when I said I would marry her.
>> Kim, [music]
can you hear me?
>> Petrified.
>> Cameron has never been in love. At least
nobody's ever been in love with him.
>> If things don't change for him, he's
going to marry the first girl he lays,
and she's going to treat him like
She won't respect him, cuz you can't
respect somebody who kisses your ass.
Where is he coming from with this?
>> I know he's in high school.
>> Why don't you COME IN HERE? IT'S REALLY
NICE.
[music]
>> CAMERON, I can slip out real easy, too.
[music]
>> Oh, no.
>> His dad must really love that car, man.
>> He does. He has the mileage.
>> CAMERON, WAKE UP. OH CAMERON, COME
ON. CAMERON. HEY,
>> Ferris Beller, you're my hero.
>> Wow, that's pretty impressive, man.
>> Come on.
>> That joke went too far.
[laughter]
>> What the?
>> That's Charlie.
>> Drugs.
>> Thank you. No, I'm straight.
>> I meant Are you in here for drugs?
>> Why are you here?
>> Drugs.
>> I don't know why I'm here. Why don't you
go home?
>> Why don't you put your thumb up your
butt?
[laughter]
>> You don't want to talk about your
problem.
>> Blow yourself.
[laughter]
>> Why do you consider it?
>> I went home to confirm that the
was ditching school. And when I was
there, a guy broke into the house. I
called the cops and they picked me up
for making a phony phone call.
>> Why do you care if your brother ditches
school? Why should he get to ditch when
everybody else has to go?
>> So, you're pissed off cuz he ditches and
doesn't get caught. Is that it? And your
problem is you. You ought to spend a
little more time dealing with yourself,
a little less time worrying about what
your brother does.
>> You're a drug addict.
>> That's just an opinion.
>> Like in like basically in a jail. I
mean, I'm not saying he's wrong. I'm
just saying I'd be flabbergasted if I
was
>> If you say Ferris Beer, you lose a
testicle.
>> Oh, you know him. [laughter]
Hey guys, what's that sitcom that
Charlie Sheen played in? I don't
remember what it was or what it was
called. I didn't watch it growing.
>> I think it was like Two and a Half Men.
>> That actually sounds funny. I
>> think my dad watch it sometimes.
>> Well, never mind. If that's what it is,
don't comment. I'm just kidding.
Comment.
>> I realized it was ridiculous. Worrying
about everything. It's the best day of
my life.
>> A I'm going to miss you guys next year.
>> Can I ask you a question? Did you see me
change out of my clothes by the jacuzzi?
I thought you were catatonic.
>> Like, it is the best thing ever.
[laughter]
>> Hey,
>> uh-oh. You think they scratched it?
>> The miles aren't coming off. Going in
reverse.
>> They actually thought that would work. I
thought they were joking.
>> I thought you could do that.
>> No, you can't do that.
>> Roll it back by hand.
>> No, forget it. I got to take a stand.
>> Look at all those pictures of it.
My old man pushes me around. I
NEVER SAY ANYTHING.
>> WELL, he's not the problem. I'm the
problem.
>> Maybe he should date his sister.
>> Yeah, she won't let nobody push you
around.
>> I am not going to sit on my ass as the
events that affect me unfold to
determine the course of my life. I'm
going to take a stand.
>> Oh, whoa,
>> whoa, whoa,
>> whoa.
>> I am so sick of his WHO DO YOU
LOVE? WHO DO YOU LOVE A CAR?
>> OH, it's about to break off and roll
right out that glass. Probably
>> the symbolism is great, but I can't
stand it.
>> I love how he has like a shitty beat up
car, too. You know what I mean? But you
should in high school.
>> Builds character.
>> Yeah.
>> Dented the out of it.
>> My father will come home. You see what I
did. I can't hide this. I don't care. I
really don't. I'm just tired of being
afraid.
>> Damn. Well, I hope he don't kick like
kick the out of you.
>> Uh-oh.
Oh my.
>> But you could just say you have no idea
on that one. I don't know.
>> I was at school.
>> Sometimes those old cars go in reverse
out the window.
>> What' I do? You killed the car.
[laughter]
>> Committed murder.
>> It's done.
>> Good thing he's got those pictures of
it. [laughter]
It's now a memorial.
>> Holy
>> Cameron, it's my fault. I'll take the
heat for it. We'll wait for your father
to come home, and when he gets here,
I'll tell him that I did it. He hates me
anyway. [laughter]
>> Okay. I'll be like, "All right, then."
>> If my friend did that, my dad would
still hate me for it.
>> I'll take it. No, I'll take it. You
don't want this much heat. If I didn't
want it, I wouldn't let you take the car
out this morning. I made you take the
car this morning.
>> I could have stopped you. I want it. I'm
going to take it. That's it.
>> Let's go, Cam.
>> Even came with the music.
>> Thanks anyway.
>> A [music]
>> I really appreciate you calling me. I
can assure you that her father and I are
going to have a long talk with her when
we get
>> Oh, no.
>> Oh, by the way, I hope your son is
feeling better.
>> I beg your pardon? [laughter]
>> Oh, right.
I want to get out of here now. All
right. now.
>> He looks like a vampire from the Lost
Boys.
>> He looks like Ferris Beer when he's
older.
>> You didn't tell me your name.
>> It's Jean, but uh a lot of guys call me
Shauna.
>> Okay, Jean.
>> He must have gave her some of what he
had.
>> He's like, "What a crackhead."
[laughter]
>> I had a great time [music] today. You
think Cameron's going to be okay?
>> Yeah, sure. for the first time in his
life.
>> You knew what you were doing when you
woke up this morning, didn't you?
>> Me.
[music]
>> I'm glad that he looks like he's like 27
cuz he's doing a lot of kissing in this
movie. Like a high school age kid, you
know?
>> I'll call you tonight.
>> Okay.
>> Yeah. You're not grounded.
>> Love you.
>> I love you, too.
>> You know what it's like to be pulled out
of work to pick up your daughter at the
police station? Well, on top of
everything else, I was about to close
the damn deal with the Vermont people.
>> I was going to take my commission and
buy Ferris a car.
>> Genie, what the hell are you doing? You
trying to kill us?
>> How does the mom not see him?
>> Stress about the the [screaming] papers.
>> Oh my god. It's a race home.
>> Oh, and she's she's speeding, boy.
>> Did the front of that car just say
victim?
>> I don't know. Slow
down.
>> The mom didn't see him either.
>> Yes.
I'm rooting for him.
He's parched.
In front of his car says, "Mom."
The [laughter] girl ain't getting no
sun. Hi, how you doing? I'm Paris.
>> [music]
>> Why you running from the cops? Just
stop.
[music]
Oh,
this is For some reason, this reminded
me of the Simpsons. He's like Bart
Simpson or something.
>> It reminds me of the hot chick, too.
>> Oh, yeah. Yeah, it kind of does. I see
what you're saying. I had to think about
that one.
Come on, Ferris. Stick the landing.
[music]
Oh my god, this music.
>> I just picked up Genie at the police
station.
>> She got a speeding ticket, another
speeding ticket, and I lost a Vermont
deal because of her.
>> I think we should shoot her.
Oh, hell no.
>> Uhoh,
>> there he is. This
>> you should have just doged.
>> I got you, Ferris. I have dreamed about
this.
>> Ferris, we're home. [laughter]
>> Those get well balloons.
>> How would you feel about another year of
high school?
>> Thank God you're all right. You know,
we've been worried sick about you.
>> Thank you, Mr. Rooney, for driving him
home.
Now, I want you to go upstairs and get
in bed.
>> He's about to throw up.
>> Can you imagine someone as sick as
Ferris trying to walk home from the
hospital? By the way, Mr. Rooney, you
left your wallet on the kitchen floor.
>> Oh, the pups out there.
>> Bite him up. [clears throat]
>> Dude, she's kind of diabolical. He's
getting murdered out there.
What if he gets busted just cuz of that?
>> Here we go.
>> Luck is on his side.
>> He's still awfully warm.
>> How do you feel?
>> 150% better. Thank you. Please don't
make me stay home again. I want to go to
school.
>> How'd you get to be so sweet?
>> Years of practice.
>> No.
>> If I was acting like that, my parents
would think I had a fever or something.
>> I know. Did you just do that? [laughter]
>> I'm going to get myself settled and I'll
bring you a hot cup of soup. Okay.
>> It gets on my nerves so bad.
>> Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop
and look around once in a while, you
could miss it.
>> A
>> I like that movie.
>> It's just like a break. You know what
I'm saying?
>> Did you get that bite?
>> I would just say, "Yeah."
>> Come on, Mr. Rooney. Get on the bus.
>> We can.
>> Oh, he can. [laughter]
>> He had to bite his pride, didn't he? Why
that bus was so crooked?
Is it the road?
>> Where did he even sit?
>> Imagine if you've seen this movie so
many times that you read that instead of
watch this. Wouldn't that be crazy? He
can't sit here. Seat's taken. Oh, that's
Jenny.
>> I bet you've never smelled a real school
bus before.
>> [laughter]
>> Why is the bus driver not going?
>> Gummy bear.
>> Guys, when Brooke used to ride the
school bus when she was a little girl,
somebody wrote on the seat, "Joe has a
fat dick." [laughter]
So, she went home and asked her dad what
it meant.
And she said, he said stomach. But Joe
was a bus driver. I bet Joe was like,
"You know what? [laughter and gasps]
>> That's one rumor that's true.
You're still here. It's over.
>> Oh my god. It's like Deadpool.
>> Yeah, this is like Deadpool for real.
>> No,
>> guys. That movie was an absolute trip.
Genuinely one of the most unique,
incredible movies I've ever seen.
>> Oh my gosh. All right, guys. So, that
was Ferris Beer's Day Off. Um, so the
first the first thing I really took away
from the movie was the fact that the
movie was significantly less about the
plot and it was more about just hanging
out with uh some of our high school
friends. And um I really thought that it
made the movie really fun because there
was no like uh there was no pacing
issues. Like the movie really just went
by so fast cuz I just felt like I was
hanging out and having fun and there
wasn't really much of a story to follow.
I mean not that there wasn't a story,
obviously there was, but I'm just saying
like the plot wasn't very thick in it
which I love. I thought this movie was
genuinely fantastic.
>> A lot of 80s movies are like that.
>> Yes, 100%. Babe, what did you think?
>> I just thought it was one of those I
guess you can kind of consider it like a
stand by me.
>> Yeah,
>> that's like, you know, if [music] life
goes by whether you like it or not.
>> Kind of a coming of the age story for
Cameron. The movie was really about
Cameron a lot. A lot. It was It was more
about Cameron than I feel like [music]
>> I really realized while watching the
movie, but now that I reflect on my
talking points, I feel like I'm bringing
Cameron up a lot and I really want to
talk about him. I It was Cameron. It was
Cameron Heavy. But you know, when I was
watching this, I was kind of waiting for
there to be some type of twist.
>> Yeah.
>> I I was waiting for that the whole time
and now I regret that.
>> You know what I really thought in the
end? I thought that Cameron, you know,
like whenever the car went out the
window and he had that weird moment
where he just like, "It's all going to
be okay."
>> Yeah.
>> I thought he was about to go jump out
the window.
>> Yeah, me too.
>> I feel like he was about to just
>> Well, that's what I thought. I thought
he was going to go like crazy or
something
>> cuz he's been he acted a little nuts.
>> Yeah. I was like, whoa. He obviously
represents uh you know someone who's in
that point of their life, right? Those
high school years becoming like I guess
he was a um what? A junior.
>> Yeah. But but sorry to interrupt you,
but the car tag literally said nervous.
Yeah.
>> And I feel like that's exactly what he
was.
>> Well, yeah, they used the car tags to
like give a lot of Yeah, exactly. So,
but yeah, with Cameron, I felt like he's
just a teenager that's just full of like
angst and anxiety and stuff. And then
there's Ferris who was capturing life by
its horns, dude. Like he was out there
dancing and singing in front of
everybody.
>> You just need a happy medium of like
both.
>> Yeah. Which I think was the girl. She
was like a perfect mix between both.
>> Like she wasn't like too but
>> I don't know. She leaned a little more
towards Yeah. She's a little wild.
>> Yeah.
>> I thought the sister in this was
fantastic. I love how there's like this
little sibling sibling rivalry just like
every good uh piece of media, right? Um
>> but it ended up in the end being like
>> well at the end of the day they had each
other's backs, right? [music] They um
they came together and it's one of those
things like you and your sister would
fight but no one's allowed to fight with
your sister like when you're a you know
growing up and stuff and that's how this
movie just was. It was just really good.
Um who was your favorite character?
>> Probably the principal because he
single-handedly got beat up too. He got
beat up by Ferris Beller without Ferris
Beller even being like around him.
>> Rooney was so damn funny in this. Like
uh
>> the the part that tripped me out the
most is when he's talking to Ferris but
he thinks it's the dad. know he's
talking to um Cameron, but he thinks
it's the dad, but they're really like
tag teaming him. He didn't know.
>> So um yeah, I think he was the best
character. I think if I had seen this as
a kid, I would have liked Ferris
probably.
>> And that's exactly how I was feeling.
That's why I like movies like this
because as an adult, the the character
that busts you up is the one you kind of
relate to now.
>> Yeah, cuz these kids, they do [laughter]
what they want.
>> I know. It's like you little punks. But
when you're younger, you're like always
supporting the little punk, [laughter]
>> you know? I don't know if I absolutely
love or absolutely hate how over above
and beyond the principal went to ensure
that this child got his education.
>> I know
>> I'm sure like as a caring parent I'd
appreciate that on some level. But
breaking into the house
>> that's a little much.
>> Is that a little much? Yeah, it's
probably a little much. Probably
probably a step too far.
>> Insert the comments where they're like
back in the 80s.
>> Hey, we used to just walk.
>> We used to just walk in. It wasn't it
wasn't like y'all's time now. Tik Tok
and
>> we always get those right.
>> Yeah. Literally, if we say anything,
like I'm going to give you a perfect
example. We said we didn't want our kids
to be left with a guy in The Shining.
Okay. We didn't We just said
>> Oh, yeah. Some random guy.
>> Yeah. Just some random.
>> Yeah. But not really because I don't not
just because the guy, but because like
brother, you don't want to be stuck with
my kids.
>> And it's in the Not only that, it's in
the dang Shining, dude. Like, [laughter]
>> yeah.
>> Like what?
>> Yeah, I know. We're watching like one of
the greatest horror movies of all time.
People are like, "Why are you so
judgeful?" I'm like, [laughter]
"Yeah." Anyways,
>> yeah. Leave your kid with the shining
people. Yeah, that's makes sense.
>> Um, so yeah, man. So to me, I thought
that uh Ben Stein being in this was
hilarious. I jotted down Ben Stein.
That's the guy who did the Queerey
commercial with the eye drops. Uh,
Chicago,
>> I didn't need those that much, so I
don't remember them.
>> Yeah, Chicago was beautiful in this. I
thought that showing off Chicago and
having the whole entire movie play
throughout like one of America's [music]
greatest cities, man. Uh,
>> yeah. in a weird way. And I know this is
sounds strange, but like obviously back
in the day internet wasn't as popular.
So like if you were if it was the '8s,
you probably got to see Chicago without
actually having to go
>> cuz there wasn't really like outlets you
could just go look up.
>> Well, that's what I told you when we
were watching Twister. Like we watched
the movie Twister. Me and her watched
it. But I watched it as a kid a ton
because I just happened to have it and I
loved it because when I was a kid, I
couldn't just see a tornado.
>> And that's probably how you felt like
Oklahoma looked like.
>> I would always wherever it was. When I
was a little kid, I would hear maybe
like of a tornado or something like that
and I had to imagine it, right? And most
of the imagery came from like either
textbooks or like books or magazines or
the movie. So like
>> being able to watch that movie was
insane. It was just insane as a kid,
right? Cuz there was no YouTube and
stuff. So being able to just see like
one of America's great cities and stuff
um you know in this film back then would
have been really awesome
>> and it be like portrayed in a loving
way. Like I feel like the guy
>> Yeah. It was almost like a love story.
the guy who made it definitely like
appreciated Chicago. He wasn't like
trying to, you know, talk crap about it.
>> And Chicago is just a beautiful American
city, man. Uh I don't really think it's
his way anymore, but it used to be a
baseball city. Used to just be somewhere
where you'd want to raise your kids. I
know it's an absolute hell hole in a lot
of places now. We're not naive to that
with all the murder and stuff that goes
on there, but
>> when I went in the Riverside area was so
nice.
>> Yeah.
>> But I just thought that um just showing
off just the real bones of Chicago was
awesome in this man. That's one of those
places. I live in Georgia, but I'd love
to go there. Like, you know, um I would
just love to go see these places. The
older I get, the more I realize like I'm
kind of running out of time to see a lot
of these places.
>> And seeing it in the movie was really,
really special. I feel like
>> really good. It was a really good time
capsule to look back. I I really like
the movie, guys. I thought that was one
of the better movies I've ever seen.
>> I've never seen the guy who plays Ferris
Buer. I think his name is Matthew
Brderick. Never seen him in anything.
>> And you know something else? The guy who
plays Cameron was extremely like over
overwhelmingly familiar to me and I do
not know what else he played in.
>> I thought he was in one of those sitcoms
like uh I don't know he looked like that
Sheldon guy
>> which is really familiar. So if he's
anything that if he's in something
that's really popular let us know.
Probably would you know we'll check it
out. But if there's any other movies
like this, guys, that are sort of, you
know what I'm saying? Bread from the
same
What's the quote?
>> Cut from the same cloth.
>> Bread from the same barn or whatever.
[laughter]
>> Baker from the same baker.
>> Mhm. If there's any movies that fit that
description in any way, let us know in
the comments. Hopefully you guys enjoyed
the reaction. If you did, man, please
leave a like, comment, subscribe, hit us
up on Patreon, guys. We got the full
uncut reaction over there. Hype the
video. Thanks for hanging out with us.
You got any thoughts?
>> No, I loved it. I had a good time. We're
going to be back. Oh, we're also
watching uh well, she's watching
Supernatural. It's new. We're watching
Band of Brothers. Um that's coming out
very soon. It may be out by time this is
out. It might not be. We're finishing up
Sons of Anarchy. Uh there's a lot of TV
shows that we're watching. So, if you
guys want to go support those, man, it
would really mean a lot to us. Um this
is more of a movie audience, I'm sure.
We tend to get two different audiences,
but if you are into TV shows, we do
watch those. It might not hit your
algorithm. I just want to let you guys
know. And uh peace.
