FC 27 Playstyles Just Changed EVERYTHING

Hey guys, this is Nate aka the foot accountant. Welcome back to the channel and truly welcome back after a week of no videos, but we are back and ready for FC27 and play styles. Guys, we thought we were going to have a great starter team based off the official stats and ratings that we have seen in this database. But now we have play styles to add into the conversation. EA finally updated the database, making these 100% official cards that we will be packing in just one week, guys. We will be in this game in just one week, packing cards like this Marcus Rashford, who's got Powers Shop Plus. However, this entirely changes the way that we look at building starter teams and even look at these FC27 cards because even though EA said they nerfed play styles across the board, or maybe not across the board, but a lot of play styles have been nerfed, they still matter. So, now we need to find overpowered starter cards and also cards to avoid based off what play styles we can now combine with the stats of these official FC27 ratings. This is also going to impact the market, but it's sure going to impact the way we prepare for FC27. Let's get into the discussion today, guys. First of all, EA dropped the official ratings with the play styles on their website, the database, the FC27 ratings database. Don't use this website. Footbin is clear for searching up all these players because their website is slow. Footbin is easy and it's fast and it's very easy to see all of this in the same spot. And of course, since Footbins officially partnered with EA, it's all the exact same stuff. There's no worries about what's right and what is not. The only thing that I don't think has been posted anywhere officially, like fully entirely officially is all of the play styles on these cards, the icons, as well as the Hall of Foots, the heroes. We have some leaks for the play styles in these cards, but nothing like 100% official. Same thing with the in-game stats. I don't believe any of that is official yet. Just wanted to mention that. But for all of these cards that we're building our starter teams with, they have play styles, and that is a big deal. Now, I think about this in a starter team sort of way because that's what we can do right now, right? Just think about what we're going to pack and build as we log into FT27 for the first time. You can look at a starter team like this and you're like, "Okay, this looks good for the stats, but now, how do the play styles actually look on these cards? Do these play styles these players have actually lend them to be usable in game?" Now, while we don't know what the meta is going to be in FC27, we know that some play styles are going to be good because they always are. Take a look at this Kika Nazareth, a card that I talked about in the last two videos on the channel as a really good starter option in the midfield. And she's got six base play styles. That is a ton for an 83 rated card. Now granted, two of those are chip shot and precision header, but game changer, incisive, tikit taka, and technical as a center attacking mid, which is probably where we're going to play this card is perfect. That is a great starter card that I would say now has the full stamp of approval of being meta with the play styles. Zire Emmery, same thing. Tiki Taka, jockey, first touch, press, proven, quick step, and relentless. That is amazing play styles for a box-to-box midfielder, maybe a CDM. You've got a little bit of defensive play style in there with the jockey. I would even consider relentless important for a CDM. But then for a center mid, you got quick step, the press, proven, first touch, and the tikit taka. With his stats where they are, that is a very solid starter card. Again, stamp of approval. Same thing with Ibanz in the Saudi league. He's got intercept, block, jockey, long ball, aerial fortress, and precision. Maybe not the most meta play styles for a center back in terms of having anticipate or bruiser, but things have changed with Bruiser, right? He's still got the intercept. He still has block and jockey, which we know in FC27, manual defending is more important than ever. So, I'm going to say jockey might be an underrated play style to start off the year, but might end up being one of the more important ones. We'll see how the game kind of pans out as we play it, but that might be one of the more important play styles as we go on throughout the year. That's just a guess. Now, what we've also learned from this play style update database is cards like this look really usable. Now, this is Sano, a Japanese center defensive mid in the Bundesliga who has intercept plus 81 pace, 81 dribble, 83 defending, and 76 physical. This guy probably wasn't on too many people's radars for a Bundesliga starter team. Now he is with Intercept Plus, Anticipate Base, and Relentless. And you got Aerial Fortress thrown in there as well. Fourstar Weakfoot. I mean, this guy's probably going to be a couple thousand coins, maybe a few thousand more coins now because of the Intercept Plus. But that is a very, very good card. We know how good Intercept Plus was in FC26. And like I said, we're going into a new game where the play styles and the weight and stuff has changed, but we're going in with the notion of what we've known in FC26. And that will impact prices. People are going to pay more for intercept plus cards and finesse plus cards because that's what was meta in 26 and that's what they know. But that's a card right there that has popped up after play styles have been added to these databases that actually looks pretty good. Same thing with this Banga. I mean he's still probably flying under the radar. But fourstar fourstar links the Hyan Menson 79 rated with three stats 80 or above and a 79 physical stat as well. Look at those play styles. That is a new hidden gem. I mean, this guy probably was talked about a bit before for MLS starter squads, but you don't have great links there. With play styles like that, you might be trying to get him into your starter squad because one EVO with some stats getting boosted up there, the dribbling or the shooting, and this card looks even better with the play styles that he already has. Same thing for Fic here. He is back. This is so exciting to see. A lot of people have been talking about this, but finesse, power, dead ball, technical, and first touch for Nabil Fck here with solid stats, but also a low overall rating of 79, making him probably evolvable straight away from when the game comes out. That card looks even better for EVOs and four starter teams with the play styles that he has. And last but not least, with all these play style additions, I had to talk about Di Maria. He is the most he has the most play styles of any card in the game. seven base play styles. There's a handful of cards that have six, but I don't believe anybody else has seven apart from him. 85 pass and dribble. He's going to be tough to link, but if you get some Argentine links in there, that might be a good card. Now, I'm speaking about these play styles, right? Just about a week ago, EA announced some changes based on the beta to the game FC27 before it's even going to come out. And Bruiser was one of the big things that was talked about there. This got a lot of press. This was happening right as as I was leaving for holiday vacation last week, but Bruiser has been nerfed 100%. Now, this was talked about in the interview that we had with the EA employee, and he mentioned this specific thing right here. I don't know why they didn't mention this in like the gameplay deep dive when they first announced the changes that FC27 was going to have compared to 26 because I mean, if he talked about it in July when I was there with me, then this change would have already been added into the game, I would have thought. But they're anyways talking about it now or a week ago they did. This really takes the important aspect to Bruiser out of the meta. It still might be good. But as they said here, they want the shoulder challenge to be truly a shoulder challenge. Like shoulderto-shoulder not being effective from behind. Spamming that bruiser button is going to end up with you getting this animation that you saw over here on the right on the after side of things. the defender does not get the ball from behind. He is like reaching his arm out and he's missing the player. That's what happens if you spam Bruiser. So, Bruiser, I know I showed Abany back here. He does not have that. I think Bruiser is going to be still a good play style, but I don't think it's going to be as overpowered and that is very, very good. Also, as we look at these play styles, I know that this isn't directly related to play styles, but it is directly related to how we look at players and we build starter teams. They have changed the effectiveness of lengthy. And guys, it looks pretty crazy. Like here, look at this race here, right? This is a race between an explosive, controlled, and lengthy player. The lengthy player is going to be faster over the longer sprint. The explosive player is going to be faster in the quick acceleration, and controlled will be a mix in the middle of that. Watch how fast the explosive player goes out. And how much the lengthy player catches up. It's not as much as it used to be. So, boom. Start the clip. If it's going to play explos explosive player has a little bit of a boost, not very much. Lengthy player is behind over the course of the pitch. We've almost run three quarters. We've almost run the whole entire pitch and the lengthy player has just caught up there at the end. Like the lengthy player catches up probably what 60% through the the pitch. If you're looking at the whole pitch from uh zero to 100, starting at the six-yard box and then running all the way to the other six-yard box, the lengthy player doesn't start making up ground until halfway and then he starts making up ground and even then it's not that much. Controlled's taking a bit of a lead over explosive as well. I think that is going to have to change the way we look at some of these players even right now in our starter squads is there's going to be less of an importance on lengthy it seems. And I like that. I like that. a lot because that became too big of a thing in FC26. I even fell victim to that myself. I was using lengthy players like all the time. So, also they changed the height for women's player. I think it was 5'5 in FC27 or FC26, sorry. In FC27, it's going to be 5 foot8. So, that is going to disqualify a lot of players from being lengthy on the women's side of things like they were in 26. So, that's one thing to kind of look at as you're envisioning your starter squad. Now, let's look at some players to avoid. We kind of saw some hidden gems, some good cards that have good play styles added on top of their already good stats. Here are some players that have good stats that I was even wanting to use in my starter teams that now I don't even want to touch because of the lack of play styles. Danielle Malin, quick step and technical is fine. Chipset, chip shot is all right. No finesse, no low driven. Yes, the stats are good. And with play styles being nerfed, you can say, "Oh, Nate, cards are supposed to be more usable now with just stats and not having play styles." Yes, that's the hope. But we all know play styles are in this game. They're going to matter at least some bit on the pitch. This is a card that I'm going to take out of my starter team now because sure, he's not going to be that expensive. He's a Syriak card. He has good stats and he's 44, but with those three play styles, I think we can do better. Same thing with some of these players. Look at Doru. Doru has no base play styles, which actually I had to go back and compare. He had no base play styles last year as well. But that's a guy that a lot of people are probably going to use at least for their first week or two week team as they load into the game because he's going to be a super cheap one, two, 3,000 coin left back. Well, no play styles. Wait for an Evo for him to add up some play styles onto his car. That's what you definitely need. Same thing for Dorenzo. Now, this is a bit of a bigger issue because Syria was a league that I was talking about a lot for starter teams. Dorenzo, Daniel Mullen, two cards I wouldn't want in my starter teams. He has no play styles either. Now, this could be an error because last year in SC26, he had three base play styles. They weren't great, but he at least had three of them. That's one thing to watch out for with some of these cards we're looking at here. Another Syriak card. I'm again pointing out these Syriak players because this Zakagny was also a very popular starter squad player. wouldn't have in my starter squad. Now, he's still 44 with good stats, but only inventive and technical. I think you got to do a little bit better than that. I think I do think that you're going to have to do better than that and find a different winger who's got better play styles and still similar stats in the Syria there. Same thing for Akanji. You'd think, oh, you know, not a bad card. 84 defending, 81 physical, that's good for the early game. Only has long ball pass. Probably are going to want to avoid that. So, look at your starter squad. Look at your starter team that you have maybe just kind of softly built on foot bin here. Like you done a squad builder like I have here. Teao Hernandez. Let me take a look at his card now. What play styles does he have? Dead ball block. Aerial fortress. Rapid quick step and bruiser. I like the quick step. I like the block. Bruiser. Again, we talked about it being less important. Dead ball. Who cares? Aerial fortress. Okay, that's not that crazy. But let's You know what? He still has some base play styles. Let's take a look at Kulu. I haven't seen this card yet. What's he got? Ooh, only long ball and jockey. See, that's where I'm like, I think for the same price as Kulu, I'm going to be able to get a card who's got more base play styles as long as he can still fit on my team with chemistry and stuff like that. How about Simicon? He's got jockey, aerial fortress, and bruiser. Now, that's maybe okay. You know what? There's no anticipate there. There's no intercept. That's maybe okay. Let me take a look at Luani. How does her Yeah, there's no way I'm adding her as my striker. Acrobatic, anticipate, technical, and trickster. So, that's where you go back to the drawing board and you say, "There is no way I'm using that card as a striker in my team with those play styles." Let's do one more. Let's look at uh Terram. Incisive pinged press proven. I'm all about it. All right. I know that's only three base play styles, but those are good play styles for a midfielder. No problems, no qualms. He's got a good interception stat. 81 rated interceptions, and that's of course going to be important with not having the intercept base play style or the intercept plus on his card either. So that's what you got to do. Go look at your starter squad or maybe go build a new starter squad based on what we have seen so far with these lower level players. It is going to impact their prices. I think it's going to impact prices more on the top end though like a card like Claudia Pena. This is a card that I personally think is going to be the second most expensive gold card in the game. It's going to go Mbappe and then it's going to go Claudia Pena. And Shin since she now has the finesse plus play style instead of the low driven that she had last year. I think that adds to my argument of her being the second most expensive card in the game. Now, Usman Dembele, as we looked at, also has Finesse Plus. Now, does that make him more desirable? I think the answer to that's going to be yes, so might be a race there between Usman Dembele and Claudia Pena. We'll have to see. They're both pretty high rated, but that's big, especially for prices on these higher rated, even middle tier cards. I'm taking a look at a card like Graham Hansen as well. She got a minus one from FC26 to FC27, but she no longer has trickster plus. She has technical plus and trickster base. That makes her card so much more usable and so much more meta in my opinion in game because the trickster plus is, I think, a bit of a waste as a play stop plus. It's good as a play style base, but it's not needed as a plus. You'd rather have something like technical on a card like this as your play style plus. So, I think that makes her card more valuable. And last year, this item was 700,000 coins in the first week or two. What's this card going to be this year? Is it going to be 900k? Is it going to be a million? I know her stats are a little bit worse, but again, a play style plus like that, one of the best right wings to start off at the beginning of the game, nonicon or hero. That's going to be a very important card. So again, moral of the story is go click around on Flipin or the EA database if you want and check out the play styles that these players now have added to them and really just look at your team and confirm that you don't have anybody in your starter team that has really bad play styles because play styles are still going to be important. Even if EA said they're going to be nerfed across the board and not as important, they're still in the game and EA haven't removed them. So they still have some level of importance, at least in my opinion. But that's the first video for today, guys. Be on the lookout for a second video dropping today as we get into the action of FC27.
