Uh we are going to be reacting to two of
my favorite announcements of the summer.
Uh these announcements actually come
from SNK, who decided to sponsor this
video just to get my thoughts and
actually just react to their latest
announcements. Uh one of them is around
Fatal Fury. If you don't know much about
Fatal Fury, uh it is a fighting game
series developed by SNK and it first
released way back on the Neo Geo system.
Uh similar to other games from the
genre, it involves rounds where the
player is given access to both combos
and special techniques needed to defeat
enemies. And it was started actually by
well Fatal Fury King of Fighters in
1991. And there's been several like
spin-offs and anime adaptions and all
that. But what they want to get my
reaction to is the actual trailer. So,
we're going to go ahead and we're over
on their YouTube channel right now. You
say Fiddle Fury COOTW. Wait, what is
this? It's a Nintendo Switch 2
announcement trailer. Let's go ahead and
watch it and react here. Uh, we'll get
this rewinded with the full audio. I'll
pause as I need to.

>> First off, the art direction here is
incredible. I really think this art
direction serves the Fatal Fury series
well. Look, I'm not known to be the
biggest fighting game fan, but I
distinctly remember this franchise back
in the day. Seeing it come back in this
way is just astounding to me. and the
art direction they're going with here.
Kind of a cell shading, but leading
towards trying to be like realistic
character models, hyper muscles, you
know, but using a cell shading style. I
I just really think the game looks
beautiful.

>> So, if you go back here, you can see the
uh this play anywhere where they have
like all the different stages. And I
think by my count here, there's like
what 12 stages a row. 24 about 30 stages
or so. Uh not an exact count there, but
this also the juke box here. You can see
you can play different sounds and stuff.
Uh so really interesting stuff. All
right, let's continue.

there for a second. A lot of these
trailers just show full screen. It's
really nice to see handheld mode. But I
love they kind of like, you know, put it
inside um an actual like piece of art to
make it look like it's like a character
within the game playing Switch 2. Just a

trailer.

Really nice to see that. 30 characters
and look, new challengers every month.
Wanted to draw attention to that. So, it
sounds like there's going to be new
characters, some sort of new challenge
for these characters. Literally every
month. I'm really excited about that.
But 30 plus characters. You can see them
all here. Duck King, King Dong Juan,
Cristiano, Ronaldo, uh Chun Lee, Andy
Bogard, Billy Kane, Blue Mary, uh
Salvatore, Aanachi, there nightmare
geese, Hikuto, Maru. I'm probably
butchering these names, by the way. I
suck at pronouncing names. You guys can
see all the rest on there. Pretty cool.

I mean, look, guys. This looks like a
great fighting game right up there with
many of the other greats OUT THERE.

And it's coming out uh digitally looks
like October 22nd with a starter
edition. You get the base game and then
there's a season pass one, two, and

the physical version, if you want to
wait for that one, is coming out in
January 2027. So, would like it to be
same day, but hey, what are you going to
do? Sometimes that's just not the way
things work. Yes, guys, I'm literally

up though, this is the one that I was
actually more excited about. It's a
franchise that I have a lot of history
with. We're talking about Metal Slug.
So, if you don't know anything about
Metal Slug, just a brief description
here. Uh, it is a Japanese running gun
video game series and multimedia
franchise that originally was created by
NASCA Corporation before merging with
SNK in 1996 after completion of the
first game in the series. Uh, spin-off
games include a third-person shooter to
commemorate the 10th anniversary of the
series and multiple tower defense games
and a turn-based tactics games. But
that's not what this game originally
was. It's a running gun. And guys, it
looks like we're going back to those
days. Going back to the classic because
we have Metal Gear Slug Al or sorry, we
have Metal Slug Ultimate Collection with
an announcement trailer. Oh, baby. This
is what I've been waiting for. Here we
go. Let's get her going here as we wind
it up. Ah, Metal Slug. A lot of
nostalgia here.
