Hey Bolo Buddies, thanks for watching. All right, you guys, I have a featured seller video and I'm going to talk to you about her bolo items. This These bolos come from Nooks, Crannies and Irresistibles. And this is her eBay store. Definitely go give her a follow. She has a very diverse store with lots of really cool items. So, go give her a follow on eBay. And we're going to start here. 100% feedback. Over 2,000 items sold. We're going to start here with the first one. It is a Hi-Low Hottie Hawaiian muumuu Hawaiian dress and it's a 2XL. But first she says, "My store name is Nooks, Crannies and Irresistibles on eBay. Hi Courtney, on your videos you say if you would like your store featured to list multiple items here. I hope these qualify. If you want more, let me know and I will post more." She said, "I bought this um Hawaii Hawaiian muumuu at a Cancer Society thrift store for $5. It was a 2X. I listed it high then tried an auction, but for some reason it just wasn't getting any interest. I the interest I thought it deserved. I actually thought it would sell for more, but I ended up taking an offer of $49. It was listed a long time, but still not a bad flip. Funny thing though, I bought another one not as fancy and the colors were shades of brown and it is a size medium and that continues to get lots of offers and interest. Go figure. Most are listed for $9.99. There were some bolo vintage cookbooks and the antique children books that fetched higher prices. I'm taking most of the reasonable offers since 100% profit. This one sat for a while, but just sold for $10.59, and I'm glad it's gone." So, um it's a pictorial cloth. Huh. Pictorial cloth, I have no idea what that means. So, basically what she's saying is she got a whole bunch for such a low price, and then is listing most of them in the $10 range. That may be something that you would consider, that may be something you would not consider. Me personally, I don't like listing books. I think it's really boring. Um it's kind of like silverware. I know I can do really good with silverware, but it's so boring to list. I actually made myself list a bunch of silverware this weekend. So, what is one thing that is a great bread and butter for you, but you hate listing it? So, I don't care for books, and I don't care for uh silverware. Put yours down in the comments. This one is a swan pitcher vase. Oh, and I don't like breakables, either. Found this one at a yard sale. There was a large swan collection of various items. I bought everything that looked MCM for about $5 for all of them. They are getting a lot of interest. This one sold the fastest in a few days for $18.74 on sale. So, um she's really good at getting things cheap. She finds a lot of really uh good deals. The next one is this Missuri leather emboss, I don't know if I said that right, Italy powder compact. Now, this is cool. She said, "Purchased this in an estate sale for five. It was listed for a long time. It appeared unused except for the mirror needed to be reattached, which I disclosed. It was listed as an auction, then a high buy it now, then lowered to 54. It finally sold and it's on its way back to Italy. Go figure." Yeah, some of those vintage compacts, guys, can do really, really good. Definitely, um if you find compacts, look them up. All right, let me grab the next one here. The next item, it says, "I purchased this mug." Did Would you guys have thought that was a mug? For $0.69 at my local Goodwill. It sold the same day for full asking price of $17.99 plus shipping. I priced it on the lower end for a fast sale as most of the mugs I have listed have been around for a long time. Love those quick sales. Yep, quick flip. There you go, guys. This one is Little Boys Northern Tissue Francis Hook. Aw, look how cute they are. Oh my goodness, three prints. They're vintage. These cuties cost me a dollar for all three. I remembered seeing pictures like this when I was a child and I'm a senior citizen now. Thanks to Google, I learned they were vintage advertising for Northern Tissue. That was a quick sale for $14.99 plus shipping and got nice feedback. Another quick one. This one is the Webster's New Encyclopedia. Uh-uh, no way. I see people list like 50 of these together and I'm like, "Oh, I would not want to ship that." So, she says, "Here's an item I got for free. It sold for $16.50 in about a week of listing. Never pass up freebies since the only investment for the sale is my time. There you go. And that sold quick. All right, spoons EP silver plate vintage soup spoons. Again, I'm telling you some of these spoons spoons silverware flatware, it's crazy what some of them go for. But I will also say it is boring to list. I bundled up a bunch this weekend and listed them. I had a bunch of silver plate um butter knives and I'm like, I'm just going to put all these in a lot. She said, I bought a large box of mixed flatware about 100 to 150 pieces from a Salvation Army that went out of business for $1. I kind of lotted what looked like were sets as as I'm sorry, were sets or part sets and slowly list when I feel like listing smaller items. While this was only a $10 $10 sale. Consider So, she had 65 on them and somebody offered her 10 and she took it. There you go. You never know. Uh considering the profit range, I don't mind. Besides it's fun to list lots of different items, so listing doesn't get boring for me. I have a huge money pile, so I always have something ready to list. When sourcing treasure hunting, I especially like making a bundle and paying one price. I always end up spending very little for the whole lot. Yeah, I'm surprised um she didn't get more for these than $10. These are nice These are nice soup spoons. Nice. All right, here we go. One of the biggest challenges I have in my store is the space to store things, especially those larger items. I'm always so glad to see the big item go because my money pile always has another large item waiting to be listed to fill that space. I bought this at the Salvation Army that went out of business last year for a dollar. It had lots of interest, but took a while to go. One thing I find is most people complain about the shipping costs of larger items. I mostly use ground advantage calculated shipping and I live in Washington state, so I'm constantly explaining the USPS sets the shipping rates, not me. I always suggest they can make me a lower offer on the item to offset the shipping cost and that works about 50% of the time. Anyway, took a best offer of 18 on this. The next item is this Cacique bra. Yes, I used to sell these Cacique bras all the time. I would buy them at a store and most of them were new without tags or new with tags and they are a hot seller. This one looks uh like it's been worn. It's definitely a pre-owned in good condition, it says. But this is a 46G, a hard to find size. So if you see larger bras, especially this brand, do pick them up. At the Goodwill when the colored tags are on sale at $1.99, I like checking the bras for the unusual or plus sizes as they always make a nice flip for me. As was the case with this one, sold for 14 early on. I remember learning about bread and butter items from you, Courtney. My husband thinks they are a waste of time, but they do continue to keep my sales steady. These days not everyone will buy high-priced items, so I keep a balance of low and high-priced items in my store for a steady stream of sales. The buyer gets something in their price range and I get another sale, win-win, which is fine with me. Yes, I agree with you 100%. Um while it's not exciting to sell something for 10 or 15 dollars, if you sell 10 things for 10 or 15 dollars every single day, number one, that adds up and again, if you buy things that people need, you know they're going to be shopping. A lot of these things that are higher dollar, they're not necessities. People don't need them. So you may go days without selling anything if you're only putting high dollar stuff in your store. So I agree with you. I love bread and butter. Now this was a surprise since I still don't know exactly what it was. Written mostly in Chinese from some convention. I paid a dollar to an estate sale and was happy to take 20 for it within a few weeks of listing. I just took really good pictures and with the help of Google tried to describe it as best I could. Glad it went to someone who wanted it. Isn't that crazy? I love it. You sold something and you didn't even know what it was. It's fabulous. The next item are these Strawberry Shortcake dolls, huge lot, 39 dolls with stands and outfits from the '80s and the '90s. I got a lot of Strawberry Shortcake mini dolls at the same $1 estate sale. I paid 55 for well over 100 items, so pennies into this lot. There was an They were in assorted conditions. To make it easy on me, I decided to lot them all up and disclose that the conditions varied. About half of them had doll stands along with some little extra dresses that I don't believe were even Strawberry Shortcake, which I included in the sale. They sold fast for $93 plus shipping, which was just fine with me. I got great feedback for this item, too. Works for me. So, a reseller may have bought this. They may be planning to to flip them. 39 items, that's that's a pretty good deal for a reseller. And if you know, um, this market, that is great. I don't know Strawberry Shortcake. I would have had to look each one of them up individually. So, um, if anybody sees something that's really cool there, let us know down in the comments so we can learn. The next item is this Miriam Haskell. If you've never heard of Miriam Haskell, her stuff is very, very collectible. This one is in poor condition. It needs repaired. It needs restored, but she did a good job. She listed it. And I'm telling you, if you find the stuff like this that is collectible, people will still buy it. They will buy it for the parts. They will buy it to repair it. Found this in a box of brooches at a yard sale. The whole box was a dollar. Most were really low-quality costume jewelry, and this one was even broken. But, it was signed, so I knew to give it a shot. I looked up comps and was pleased to see this is a desired piece. While I was listing it, even more of the seed pearls were falling off. Plus, I knew some were missing. I disclosed all the damage and the fact that it was not all there. Uh, and it it repair. Still got $40. Yep. Miriam Haskell, yep, definitely be on the lookout. The next one are these fish dishes. She said this was a fun find. When I purchased them, I remember thinking Courtney would say she wouldn't want to ship them. She's right, I would not. Actually, I don't mind breakables. To me, it's kind of fun to pack them up and make them super safe for shipping. Anyway, paid $7.99 at the Goodwill and sold them for 40 a few weeks later. Finding the unusual items are a buzz for me. Yeah, I this might have been something that I would have parted out, you know, um listed them individually. I don't mind shipping one, but when you start stacking them, I get a little like it takes so long and I probably over bubble and but these are gorgeous. They're gorgeous. Nice find. Uh miniature dollhouse light wood furniture little set. Now, this one really surprised me. I bought a ton of stuff at everything is a dollar each estate sale. Since I had so much, I asked if they would make me a bundle price. I paid 55 total for well over 100 items including a large assortment of dollhouse furniture. When preparing for the listing, I sorted items out into lots of two to six pieces of the same color wood and or style. This set had a broken and missing leg on the front of the hutch and the handles were falling off the drawers. Needed re-glued and two handles were completely missing. I thought, oh well, I'll give it a shot anyway. To my surprise, it sold within 15 minutes of listing for $19. Not a bolo that made me rich, but hey, nice little flip considering pennies in it. Yeah, I love it when broken things sell. So cool. The next item is this Scully men western embroidered skulls roses snap front shirt. Uh now, this one was one of those items you come across and you just know. I don't even have to look it up. It's coming home with me. She said she paid $10 for it at the Goodwill. The condition was outstanding. Didn't seem like it had ever been worn except the leather manufacturer tag was slightly worn, which I disclosed. Listed high at 99 and took an offer Excuse me. Took an offer of 79 plus shipping as sales have slowed a bit lately. It sold within 2 weeks, which is a good time frame. Absolutely. The next item is this Titanic movie hinge trinket box. I had this one for quite a while, too. I disclosed the paint job on the faces of the figures were done poorly by the manufacturer, but it still has lots of interest. It did finally sell for 20. The price was slowly lowered when it wasn't on sale. I paid a dollar for it at an estate sale, so I'm okay with moving it out of my inventory. There you go, guys.
