But, Sports Porter Miles Walker has more on how the Warriors are working to get over the hump in 2026. >> After graduating 12 seniors, the Warriors had to make adjustments, moving the likes of both Ellen Germanson and Sophia Lundy from midfield to defense, creating an all-senior back line. >> It kind of gives our team confidence knowing that we have four really experienced players in the back to be able to hold the defense and be the last line. And since we've all been around for a little bit, we know what we're doing. And I think that helps with confidence and confidence leads to communication. >> Claire Lust and Colin Johnson round out Brainerd girls soccer starting defense. One that is confident in its ability to hawk down opposing forwards, which was on full display against Bemidji. >> We're a very fast team, but we were very composed yesterday when we had to be. And I think we really came prepared for that. And defensively as well, like we knew some of their girls were going to be good. We knew they were going to be fast and be able to handle the ball well, but I think we took that in stride and we denied as much as we could.
