Welcome to Trophy TV. Thought I'd do an update cuz obviously done a video yesterday morning uh worrying about Harry Harrison Armstrong being sold that Everton have have had a change of heart. So, basically obviously it looks like the owners have pulled a little bit of fund and that's what it looks like on the outside and Everton have been needing to make a sale. And for some reason the owners it looked like came up with Harrison Armstrong. Obviously they've looked at other clubs selling academy products and thought he's played less than 20 games and there's a few teams want to pay 40 million pound for him. So, that makes an easy sale. We've seen this happen with likes of Elliot Anderson at Newcastle went to Forest and then obviously went for 120 million. Even Idah Ebo and Balogun we've done and other clubs have done it. Um and they maybe being out of touch thought that that was the way to go, but the fans proved how strong, you know, fan unison can be yesterday. Obviously the the songs that the away supporters made up for Harrison Armstrong. And the outcry on you know, things like X, Instagram, them kind of things as well will have got back and Everton's leadership team has come out today. Everton's leadership group didn't want to sell Harrison Armstrong either. Um and therefore there's been a change from the top. You know, like I say the fans and and the leadership group kicking back on the Armstrong deal. Obviously David Moyes didn't want to either. I said yesterday had did David Moyes was he was was he okay with it? Wasn't he? Did he accept it? I I hadn't heard anything from him. He clarified that yesterday he didn't want it. And if we get in a position where we start selling players under the manager's feet then we are really in a dark place. We're in a really bad place. The one thing whether you like David Moyes or you don't, when he came in the first time, it's the one thing he said, "Don't sell players I want to keep and we can build something." And that applies exactly the same now. So, Harrison Armstrong staying, that is brilliant. I think if the optics on it were a disgrace, really, and I think obviously people running the football club, Angus Kinnear, McDavid Moyes, I'm sure other people in the recruitment team will have looked and and been like, "This is a terrible idea." Trust us. And obviously that's got back to Texas and they've decided to change it. I think. So, that's really good news. On to that is news that a lot of people won't like and that it looks as though Illiman Ndiaye is leaving Everton Football Club. Tottenham Hotspur talking to Everton. Haven't got full agreement yet, I don't think, but it's nearly there. Manchester City were in as well, big time for them. And I think that was probably Ndiaye's preferred sort of destination. But they look as though Cody Gakpo is their number one now. They're going to get him. So, that means Tottenham are in the box seat to get that deal sorted. And I'm a little bit surprised he's going to go to Spurs, but when a club's offering to triple, double, triple your wages and it's in London, then maybe I shouldn't really be surprised. Tottenham have had a terrible start, have spent copious amounts of money, and look where it's at the moment, but I'm sure De Zerbi will get them sorted at some stage. And Ndiaye looking like it isn't decided yet. Man City could still maybe do that deal, but it looks as though he's definitely I've just said he's decided and definitely scratch that. It looks as though he's on his way to Tottenham Hotspur. What I meant to say was it looks like he's definitely leaving Everton Football Club. And a lot of people will be devastated with that. He's a great player to watch, Illiman Ndiaye. He's been a an excellent signing for Everton. Got him from Marseille for 15 million. Kevin Thelwell, who often gets a bad rap at times, and and sometimes he deserves a bit of the criticism, but on that particular occasion, they did a great deal for Everton. And Jai come in and done a brilliant job. And it looks like he's going to go off uh plus money. It Some of the figures are 60 million pound deal, but but Spurs value Richarlison at 30, and Everton will get around 30 million pounds plus Richarlison for NJ. I don't I'm That isn't clarified yet. I'm just saying there's some of the things going around. But on the positive on the positive sort of side of that, Richarlison coming back to Everton still scoring goals. I know some people will be absolutely overjoyed, James O'Brien, I'm looking at you, and others will be questioning it. But we are where we are now, aren't we? And this isn't ideal, of course it isn't. Um I think you want to build a young squad. You want to build a squad that has got loads of potential in it. Yes, you need some certainties, and I think what Richarlison gives you is um is goals. He does get goals. He doesn't score 20 goals, but he gets goals for you. Obviously, the work rate. He's a good footballer, and you get all of that off him. That's a positive. The fans love him. He loves Everton. He's There's been no no denying his love for Everton, he hasn't. And maybe that's me maybe why Spurs fans haven't fully taken to him. So, he looks like that one is a goer, Richarlison back into Everton. There's obviously a lot of work to be done over the next couple of days. Obviously, there's only sort of 3 days left now of the transfer window. Make sure you watch Toffee TV. I think it looks likely better will leave, but I don't know where yet and how. And therefore, if it's Richarlison and Batshuayi up front, then you know, I think Richarlison is better than Batshuayi and all-round game better than Batshuayi at the moment. Batshuayi has looked a lot better, could have had a couple of goals yesterday. Um but has looked sharp, has got four goals so far this season. So, I think Richarlison will improve us in that position. But it then comes the question of Iliman Ndiaye going. Who replaces him? It looks like Jack Grealish. Jack Grealish is desperate to get back to Everton. Now, some Evertonians Me personally, I I think Everton could do with two if if Dele going. I think personally Everton could do with Jack Grealish and another one. Um Jack Grealish makes Everton Football Club better as a team, 100%. It is it the right thing to do from a financial perspective and long-term? Maybe not, because I think maybe you're trying to get assets in. Everton are going to have to going to have to accept that, A, because of the new rules, there's got to be a real element of player trading. And B, my personal view, these owners aren't going to try to spend big money and take maybe risks here and there. Um some people might say that's the right way to do it. I think just the way it is to try to sort of re-make real progress, I think you do have to take some risks. I think you do have to be a little bit bullish at times to get where you want to be. Um So, we're going to have to get used to player trading, and it will be sort of like Iliman Ndiaye and things like that. So, we have to get younger players in who we're going to develop and make into better players, make players uh that clubs other clubs want for big money. And Harrison Armstrong is the perfect example of that. I believe the lad's got a massive season. So, with Jack Grealish coming in, like I said, makes the team the squad better. Personally, would like another one. I'd like Bahoui before Holgate and he's lightning pace. I think he's got something that Everton don't have which is real. A ball around the corner and he's in on you know, he's in down sides, but I don't know whether they're going to do that. Maybe if the Grealish deal isn't done Everton will look well they'll have to they'll have to look elsewhere as well. Uh and then obviously there was news last night of Kenny Tete. He's been on the table for a few weeks now. Tete Everton have looked have obviously wanted Guela Doue. That hasn't happened. He looks like he's off to Germany. There was a little bit of a thought that Everton might be back in with Doue and it looked as though it could potentially happen over the weekend. But I believe he's um that's changed the game. And he's he's closer to going to Germany now. So Kenny Tete will probably come in at right back now. Overall at the end of the window those three deals did happen. There might be something else. I know Paul Joyce has reported uh following Balogun um Balogun at the moment. Um Who knows that could happen. Who knows, but I think Meite better would have to go out for that, but we'll see what happens there. But if Everton end up with Richarlison, Jack Grealish, Kenny Tete and Jean-Philippe Gbamin the other way not not delighted about Gbamin even not going to lie. You'd say overall I personally would probably say overall Everton are stronger than when they started. I've liked the business we've done so far. I'd have liked it better younger model of right back I'm not going to lie. I think if we did get Kenny Tete and maybe Hector Fort from Barca who ended up going for 8 million euro, then I would have I'd have said I'd get it. I sort of get the progression. Quite clearly Meite Balogun is being sort of modeled into that position as well. We'll see how that one goes, but that's the state of play at the moment. Obviously there's three days to go.
