Video summary
Everton secured a 2-2 draw against Manchester United, a result that earned them a point described as fully deserved despite mixed reactions regarding the team's overall performance. While hosts acknowledged defensive lapses, particularly involving Luke Shaw and a lack of a dedicated number six to cover midfield gaps, they praised the squad for staying organized under Ryan Lowe in the absence of a dominant attacking presence. The match narrative was defined by Harry Maguire's early goal followed by an equalizer from substitute Hayden Hackney in the 88th minute, whose enthusiastic celebration turned into disappointment when United scored late via a controversial handball decision involving Jordan Pickford. This sequence highlighted Everton's ongoing struggles with squad depth and fitness issues, specifically for James Garner, even as Jack Grealish demonstrated natural talent and leadership despite limited playing time.
Beyond the on-field action, the discussion expressed deep frustration regarding the club's strategic decisions and financial constraints imposed by "The Rules." The speakers noted that the late equalizer felt like a missed opportunity to establish a new era under new ownership, exacerbated by the failure to sell players earlier in the summer window despite knowing it was necessary. This reactive approach left Everton without a center forward and forced into difficult moves, while regulations are argued to unfairly disadvantage the club compared to wealthy rivals like Manchester City and Chelsea who can still spend heavily. Although there is an acknowledgment of the need for long-term youth development strategies, the speakers feel currently trapped by these rules that prevent investing in young talent, creating a sense of being stuck between financial limitations and competitive demands.
The emotional tone of the review oscillated between devastation at the missed chance for a clean win and annoyance at the circumstances surrounding the draw. The hosts emphasized the critical need for a better mentality after equalizing, warning against complacency that has cost Everton in previous games, while also praising Tyrell Malacia's Man of the Match performance which helped secure the point ahead of a difficult trip to Tottenham Hotspur. Ultimately, the conversation concluded with a call for owner commitment and financial stability to maintain fan hope, suggesting that without addressing these structural issues and improving mental resilience, the club risks repeating past mistakes where small errors led to significant setbacks.

Welcome to Toffee TV. It is the final
word. Everton to Manchester United 2
yesterday. Hill Dickinson. The Topies
left it very very late but grabbed a
fully deserved point despite Mark Gold's
nonsense what he was chatting about. Um
Evan have ended up with like I said a
fully deserved point. I don't believe
it.
>> Yeah. No, we deserved it.
>> Bloody hell.
>> Rody hell.
>> We deserved No, we deserved it. We
deserved the point at least, didn't we?
It wasn't a game.
>> Wasn't a game that we were like, you
know, battered in or anything. And
>> just one of those it was just one of
those games. It was just it was just
obviously with the goal going and the
way he did added that
>> little bit of excitement to it
>> that I'm sure
>> you know TV would have loved that
yesterday, wouldn't he? with it only
been two large games. Um, apparently it
went down very well at the Emirates.
Apparently
>> it will have.
>> Um, but uh, yeah, it was it was it was
good. And obviously obviously for
somewhere like Ill Dickinson, it's it's
it's memories, isn't it? It's about it's
about bu building memories. I sound like
that woman off that I um it's it's it is
about memories, isn't it? It's about
like it's about remember when that
happened. Remember when that happened?
the things that you you um you we had a
>> we million of them
>> a million of them at at Gerson Park and
it's about it's about them isn't it and
that you know yesterday was another one
of them where you go amazing amazing day
>> what did you what did you make of the
team then going into it cuz I I'll be
honest I thought he'd start mland now
angry I thought you know what he's like
with his Premier League experience and I
thought even though Merlin Ro being
Everton's one of Everton's best
performance certainly preseason and
>> and all that. I didn't know whether he'd
maybe start him in front of Mland Naz,
which I actually think he will do at
Tottenham the weekend and I thought the
temptation to just start Jack Reish
would have been too much. But fair
enough, he he he went with a team. I
think that would be the team. I thought
that would be the team that was bought.
>> I think when they sign on deadline day,
you never,
>> you know, I mean, I don't even know if
mate Niles made it to Finch Farm on on
Tuesday night.
>> The interview was Yeah, he did. He did
cuz he was he arrived on the plane. He
went and had his first part of his
medical.
>> Okay. Yeah. Yeah.
>> But his interview was the next day.
>> Yeah. It was all So, it's like obviously
the next day is you haven't trained,
you've been up, done all that. Uh
>> so
>> I think he had a few days training the
manager said. So yeah, don't know. Um,
you know, I don't know what kind of
preseason had. And we know Jack is
Jack's, you know, he's had a couple of
involvements for Man City, but not much.
And he did sort of staff. He started
pre-season training the week of the
Community Shield, so he hasn't really
done any buildup. So, um, I wasn't
surprised. Not with Moyes as well, I
didn't think. And also, you know, the
team
>> the team from B from Bournemouth
getting the we've done well down there.
So I didn't I didn't really expect much.
Obviously obviously had to sort out
within J and I thought that that was
always going to be a straightforward
top. I thought of Bernardon Johnson.
>> So I I wasn't really surprised to be
honest at all.
>> Yeah.
>> No, no, you know and I think I think
Everton Everton started the game all
right. I think it was a case you've got
to feel against United. You're looking
at them and okay, they were they were
rubbish a whole but they were much
better at home against last week. All be
it they had to come from behind, but
then once they got in front, they
destroyed them. But
>> we you have to make sure you're in the
game right at the very start with them
and don't give cuz Bruno Fernandez can
just kill you with it.
>> You know, he's horrible and every fan
think wants to kill him metaphorically
because of the way he is. But he's a
fantastic footballer. So if you give him
too much space, he can destroy you. But
I thought Everton Everton got quite
tight to them and didn't allow them to
play. He obviously hit the bar quite
early on with like a side but sort of
volley done well to get the shot on
target. But
>> other than that, I thought this two and
fro quite I think you said there about
letting them play.
>> I think if you if you let your mates
play, they've got loads of good players.
But
>> I think if you've seen I mean obviously
if you're a better side then
>> but if you're if you if you if you're
organized I think I think you know
they're they're weird aren't they?
They're chasing they're chasing
something that they've lost and it's
they're not doing it with any kind of
wellthoughtout plan.
>> I don't you know
>> and not the same back four that started
the 4-nil defeat at Brenford in 2022 and
things like
>> that's what I mean. It's like your front
your front players are all sound but
like you your not like moving the needle
on the on the on the back line are they?
So, it's about staying organized and
Moyes is Moyes is one of the best
managers in the league for that. No
matter what, no matter what anyone says,
he he is he, you know, he probably does
more homework on the opposition team and
setting up about how to stop them than
he probably does on on on us. So, um
I wasn't like at all worried going into
this game at all. I mean, obviously the
week we've just come off wasn't even a
sort of
>> it wasn't even a thought in many ways.
It was just like let's just see what
happens. But that they just don't have
that they don't have that thing anymore
United of like where you where you
really fear them. They've lost that fear
factor.
>> We had it for so long with them.
>> Years and years and years. We just don't
feel like that anymore. And
you know they're just they're just um
>> they're just pretenders now, aren't
they? They're just I don't know. They're
a collection of they've got a some
really like you said some really good
players but they started the game
without had a striker for a start. I
mean he played Fernandez and the false
nine didn't he and left ses go on the
bench and know he's coming back to
fitness but I think Rashford being in
the team I think he for me he was their
pick. He was the most dangerous player
all day for them picking the ball up.
And a bit of that is he obviously used
Merlin roles. Someone in our comments on
the one of the live shows said Merlin
gets the zooies in the opening 25
minutes, doesn't he? Like a puppy. He's
all over the place. He's like a
Labrador.
>> He is. He is. He's just I love like I
find it I find I find it quite like
in the bottom like I can't have a go
with him. I just I just
He looks like one of those kids.
Remember kids used to turn up when you
were training and go can have a game and
he bring their own ball. He looks a bit
like that. Like he hasn't got a clue out
of it there. He's very like as an
athlete he's brilliant.
>> He just hasn't got a clue how to play
right back. And it's but it's just a
positional sense, isn't it? Where where
to stand. He's like anyone learning the
position, but I think Rashford worked
that out pretty quickly. and and then
Brennan Johnson even though thought he
was all right in the game and he got
better in the defensive department as it
went on the first 15 or 20 minutes he
just sort of didn't realize Luke he
probably looked at Luke Shaw and thought
he won't run a lot but Luke Shaw did a
few times in the first 20 minutes got in
behind and one of them
>> must have been a sign for Gregs down the
corner maybe
>> but one of the he just left it and Shaw
just ran into the space behind and he
could see everyone looking there was
three of our players in the line Shaw
was on his own
He got a bollock in front from Tarovski
after that one. But
>> you can't allow good players like
Rashford to to draw players to you and
then have runners like cuz sure has got
a lovely left foot to be fair. If he
gets in behind it's going to cause
problems and that was evident and it's
been evident in the first couple of
games for he's done a lot of good things
going the other way and his athleticism
gets him out of trouble but a few times
he needs someone to help him out.
>> Do you think that's where we are missing
a number six though? where a number six
would
>> react to that and get over because we
are in an era of like
>> you know what we're I mean what what
we're talking about with like with Ro is
a player who who wants to go forward
>> that's more of his that's more suits him
>> and and obviously Widman don't want to
come back either.
>> No. So I just wonder whether that's
where we're missing out on a number six
where who can get over and cover
>> rather than it being the wide organiz.
Yeah. And rather than it being the wide
man who come who has to come back all
the time
>> and and also so that your full back
because that wouldn't have happened last
season with Jacob Bryan
>> cuz Jacob Bryan's never going to
>> he's never going to leave that position
and it very rarely happens with
Michenko. Michenko is not going to be
caught like that. But obviously what you
don't get is you don't get the you don't
get the flip side of that. You don't get
the the the quality in the final. Okay,
you know, don't get me wrong, Ro put a
great ball in and
>> we should have scored from it and
Michalinko had a couple of couple of
couple but the they don't it doesn't
match up, does it? It doesn't really
match up. So I just wonder whether
that's where a number six would would
would cover us a you know get over get
side to side cuz obviously the last one
we really obviously when we played like
that was when we had Gareth Barry and
>> James McCarthy and we ne they never they
never got caught out in covering those
positions.
>> No, that would have been the plan around
Norard, wouldn't it? That's a whole
thing what Norard will hopefully bring
when he's fit to organize that and go
over and make sure that doesn't happen.
But I think you need you do need your
winger though to be switched on. And
that's where in Jai playing on that side
was really good that he would get back
and Mesa's commented on it hasn't he you
know how deep he is for City already.
But you know Brennan Johnson had to sort
of come alive because the first couple
of runs sure just left him and then he
did start tracking them in fact then he
ended up getting a booking didn't he on
one because
>> he'd run and tried to cut cun and and
went down but
>> but I thought listen we we had the tier
you just touched on then Barry had that
he should have hit the target. It was a
great ball and just mistimed it slightly
and it added it straight rather than
down which may have given Everton the
lead.
>> He's edited down.
>> Jared Brandweight had a good opportunity
in the box the ball drop and he he test
the keeper but he should really do
better with it. It goes too straight.
Could have nicked off someone but it
went too straight. We had other moments
where we got in behind. Tyreek got in a
couple of times and the cross was weak
with the left foot, but I thought we
showed enough to be a threat and they
were worried about that. And obviously
on the the flip side to that, they were
sort of doing similar. They were getting
into good areas, but we were managing to
get blocks in.
>> Um, and so it meant the game was was
sort of fairly
>> even without being tons of chances
really. But we didn't allow him to
counter attack either, did we? We we we
without without playing too deep either.
>> We didn't really I mean
>> I thought J J was brilliant. You know, I
thought he was superb and
>> um full of confidence and
>> put a couple of great tackles in in the
first half when we were stretched,
didn't he?
>> Yeah. So, I think obviously having that
confidence of him as well and
>> Yeah. I mean, I say we got away with a
couple of like from Rashford pullbacks
and stuff at the bar and people were
getting blocks in and stuff. Um but for
the most part I thought we just didn't
for them.
>> We just didn't have much of a attacking
presence of our own. We weren't, you
know, there was there was a few shots,
but they were all really weak, really
poor shots. And
>> I think one of the things for me, if
we're going to go back to front bar, I
mean, we we were knocking balls and he
was having to compete with me when
Martinez was my size, then he'd have
been better going on me. But if you're
going to go make him compete with
Meguire, which he did,
>> there was lots of times he stopped
Magguire getting a cleaner, then the
ball dropped and no one was picking the
second ball up. And it's like, if that's
what we're playing, you're gonna have to
get bodies around them. It's it's we
should be having someone running beyond
them in case he gets a flick and someone
coming short. And I think normally Kane
and Zbury all does that brilliantly,
>> but I just don't think he ever really
got into the game.
>> No, he had a real off day, didn't he?
>> Yeah.
>> Um
>> his birthday as well.
>> Maybe just that extra year
>> maybe. Or he just think about his cake.
Don't know, do you?
>> You don't.
>> Well, maybe he'd worked either. He he
justified the calories.
>> The way I look at things. Do you know
what I I'm sure he done a lot of
running. He just wasn't his normal sh.
No, but that's what you do. If you're
making your striker compete for long
balls, you've got to make sure you're
picking a bit something. Just don't
think first half especially. We just
didn't do that well enough cuz I think
Barry's linking up much better than he
was. I'd like to have seen us I'd like
to seen us have got Brennan Johnson ice
you know up against Luke Shaw but we
just didn't do I didn't do just one
cross field and
>> it just it never got beyond it sort of
Bren Bren Johnson went up for a header I
think ended up going for a header but I
just thought try and get it into the
space behind we just never we never did
that either. So, it's really he's a
player who wants that ball, I think. And
that's something we're going to have to
learn about Brenon Johnson when he plays
is
>> you play it into the space. You don't
necessarily give it to his feet and he's
not that kind of player.
>> No, no, he's not a he's not like a a
tricky player is he's quite sort of give
it and go type to play and we saw that
obviously second half. I think you're
right. I think a ball inside sure for
him to come around the back might have
set United a little bit more, but
>> we we just couldn't really get that. I
mean the referee John Brooks was
absolutely woeful like really bad you
know and I think Tyreek had had skinned
Dallots a couple of times in the opening
10 minutes should have been bookings
both of the fouls he didn't he didn't
give anything then Harrison Armstrong
got involved with Bruno Fernandez who
obviously went down as we've been
punched and was rolling around and and
Armstrong picked the booking up and how
much do you think that affected his game
after that? No, it did. And you're
absolutely right about that. Like if he
gets booked when he pulls the shirt,
which he should have been, then
>> he can't go near.
>> Can't go near, George. And I think
Harrison just showed a little bit of
inexperience there
>> um by just getting involved with the
wrong kind of player.
>> Yeah.
>> And the manag the referee
>> had seen him go in for that tackle. And
you know,
you see this with refs, don't you? Like
the tackle's brilliant, but it's also
that thing from the ref of
>> I don't know if you're strictly allowed
to do that sort of thing. Even though
it's like a perfect tackle like
nowadays, it's like
>> they look down on those kind of tackles
and then he I think he might have barged
into he
>> and then it's like
>> and and yeah, he you're messing with the
wrong person. You've got to
>> you've got you've got to know when to
go. know it's the 90 minutes and you're
going to have lots of scrapes with this
fell just
>> and I think that he's he's he's allowed
himself
>> to get thrown
>> to get caught up by it caught up in the
cuz he's obviously you know he wants to
do well he's he's had a had a weird week
>> yeah he has
>> um
>> so it was yeah just learn from that just
learn from but he did well after that
but he just didn't couldn't
>> can't have that still same intensity cuz
if you miss time one you're done
>> you're gone yeah especially with this I
mean he got the the loudest cheer in the
uh in the teams getting
>> sort of you know
>> the teams getting announced
>> even with sort I mean I'm amazed the
name is right when it was announced but
but everybody they give it sort of you
know the loudest cheer but you're right
what once you're sort of walking the
tight rope cuz you've been you picked up
a booking like that it took a little bit
away from his game cuz he did do a
couple of really good tackles but you're
like after it thinking
>> good job you got the ball there mate cuz
this fell will just get you off no
matter what. But um I thought he did
well overall and and obviously
>> well I mean what have you made it to
James Garner because he never preseason
was injured the first couple of days of
preseason. Didn't play in any games.
>> Came back as a sub against Palace.
Played at Preston
>> last week and now this week doesn't
quite look up to speed yet. No.
>> But what what did you sort of make of
him? Certainly first half second half we
were better.
>> He was all right.
>> Yeah. But there's a couple of
uncaracteristic
moments. I think there was one where he
basically just give it to them to attack
and and he they nearly scored from it.
Um
>> but you can tell he's not it's not he's
not he's not sharp.
>> He's not Jimmy Gardner at the moment.
>> He's not he's not sharp and obviously as
he's that preseason is massive isn't it?
And
the manager again, it's the man, it's
the manager looking at it, isn't it? And
looking at it and going, "Well, then
it's Armong and Aiden Hackne." And
there's not many games in the Premier
League between them when you're going up
against
>> clever players who've got all the tricks
and the book and
>> um just quality.
>> You know, you've got to you've got and
you know, you want Garner in there just
to h just for that experience more than
anything. Um
but he had hackne on the bench and when
it was time to when it was time to take
Ghana off he he didn't um
it's one of them isn't it it's you know
listen you mentioned it before the norad
like situation you know hopefully it
sorts itself out over the international
break gives us a couple of more weeks
>> um
>> but again it's just how thin that squad
is isn't it? It's like,
>> you know, it's even crazy, isn't it?
>> Even like mate Niles
>> getting established at right back means
Ro can go into midfield and help as
well. So, it's we are a little bit
>> but he's he's
inexperienced
>> and he's also he wants to chase the
ball.
>> Yeah. And he's he's not like you can
understand
why, you know, Moyes is looking at that
way. He's got like three experienced
midfielders and three younger
midfielders. And if he has to, you know,
pick two or then play or pick, you know,
and then there's
>> there's a spare one.
>> He's got to, but again, this comes down
to subs, isn't it? It's about managing
subs. It's about making sure that you
give players experience. You can't you
got he's going to have to he's going to
have to. And it's it is funny. I've we
talked about this a lot last season.
It's like the amount of times players
get injured, it forces Moyes into making
decisions and then the players come on
and surprise you
>> and they do well. And it's like, well,
that wouldn't have happened unless
>> you you you'd been forced into that. And
I think
>> that's the that's the thing with Mo.
like he he he a lot not not all the time
but
>> he can't get out of his own way at times
but then he'll stumble across something
and it and it'll end up working for him
and
>> you know Terry George wouldn't have been
wouldn't be an Evan player if Jackish
was
>> was when got injured and now they're
probably going to be on either side of
the pitch
>> and you know
>> you know it's it's it's it's you know it
matters and it but that's that's
football opportunities will open up and
but the players have got to be ready for
to take them.
>> He got it obvious. I mean the referee as
well Harry Magguire was down for five
and a half minutes I think someone said
>> and he played 3 minutes
>> minutes
>> which was I mean not nothing not against
me it was a heading you had to but why
how come you play 3 minutes
>> that's nuts and something like that so
basic isn't it
>> time keeping
>> it's just it's basic isn't it it's crazy
um came out for the second half you know
nil nil at hal time and it was quite
there was nothing thinking we can win
this
>> they hadn't really done that much we
hadn't done that much So it was game on
but done the worst thing you can do and
come out and we're in a minute.
>> Yeah.
>> You know we're conceded and Micheleno's
allowed Brian and Bumo was all left foot
to just run across on a diagonal and
just bend it beyond Pigford and
>> you know he went past George lovely
quick feet but Michenko's allowed him to
get it for him on the outside. Yeah,
>> and you know we're one nil down. It was
a lovely fitness to be
>> I think Garner as well not being 100%
fit.
>> He if he was fit I think he cuts across
across
>> but not having that fitness and the
fitness is in the head as well isn't it?
But
>> you're thinking there we go. Last thing
>> as always said in dressing rooms forever
would be
>> keep it tight for the first five or 10
minutes and you're one n down after a
minute into the second half. But I think
I think what they did was they they
managed to just sort of stem the flow.
We didn't let them dictate from there
and and let the game go away from us. We
just sat back in and tried to get
ourselves back into the game. But you
are looking thinking we've just cuz the
time just seemed to eb away for a bit
where our flatness
>> nothing happened. Our flatness
>> rubbed off on United.
>> Yeah. the pair of them just went
>> the flatness of of us, of the team, of
the fans, everything just was like,
yeah,
>> they man United was like, "Yeah, we're
all right here. We'll just
>> we'll just play this out."
>> They had one moment where Rashford went
on a brilliant run and gets into the box
and
>> knocks it back and Kung is about to make
it 2-0 and James Sarakovski produces an
unbelievable challenge cuz if he gets it
>> wrong, you know, and into either way,
it's either a penalty or Kung just
knocks it in before he can think. It
would have been game over. Then it's 2-0
I think. But it's an incredible tackle
from T.
>> No. Was it brilliant? Wasn't it?
>> I think that signaled the end of Roll's
day, didn't it?
>> No, it really it really did, didn't it?
It really
>> He just got He was left, wasn't he?
>> It really did. He showed him
>> back of his boots, didn't he? By No, it
was it was a brilliant cuz it was a
weird sort of the way it sort of fell
and then come back to him and
>> Yeah, it's like he had to be 100% on. It
was great feat from Rashford just a
little double and then to just roll it
back. It was it was unbelievable but
brilliant from T. Jackish was brought on
first his second Everton debut. How did
you think he done? Cuz I thought he done
all he looked rusty. You could tell but
I still think he's just got that natural
class that when the ball goes to him,
you can see there sort of got to go up a
level here cuz this he's just such a
good football and he throw I think he
dragged all of our players up. We got
like a I think the crowd got
reinvigorated when Jack came on and so
did the play. I thought he got
>> I mean I mean again it's been a it's
it's been a weird week for him hasn't
it?
>> Again I think the club have made a mess
of the signing in many in more ways than
donut boxes.
>> But like
>> oh the donut box was a joke. I just it's
just again people just don't understand.
But I like couldn't we have not
announced have announced him before and
Jai went
>> and just like
>> just give everyone a little bit of a li
a little bit of a lift. It got lost in
the late armor of everyone's head was
going cuz of B obviously this is when
people some looked it like it was off
before it was actually off.
>> It's like I didn't just he'd been there
since 10:00 in the morning. What was he
waiting
>> 8:00 10 8 he was doing his medical.
>> What was he waiting for? What was he
waiting for? I I don't like I don't like
>> trust me mate. We were sat here doing a
bloody live stream going it'll be
announced in a minute after about 6:00.
I
>> have no idea. I was on a sun lounger. Uh
>> but you're thinking you get that one out
first.
>> Yeah, get that one out first. All your
jokey jokes about donuts.
>> Um
>> still just
I can't It's not about reading the room.
It's about having basic understanding of
what the pro like charging. I went to a
dead fancy place the other day and the
donuts were still not at 650. Um
>> it was Yeah. And he's so like he's at
like sort of it's been quite and what
the thing about Jack's got the potential
now to be an Everton player for like
three or four years,
>> you know, and it's it's you know he's
took the number 10 shirt. It's like
>> but I thought so it it was important
that it was important that we um you
know
>> he came on and and he done
I mean without being like he didn't do
anything amazing but he just put them on
the back foot and he was one really
early on and all he did was he just
helped it on and I think it was Michenko
went into the space into the box
>> and it was just like little things like
that
>> teams are just terrified he's just that
player isn't he so
>> talented
we said we've said it loads of times
haven't we about people like Jack Leish
it's like every week you watch football
as we watch are footballers and there's
a lot of like there's a lot of like um
well I don't know what the right word is
but there's a lot said about some
players about having amazing games and
oh they were brilliant and they done
this and done that
>> you boss plays does this and it's like
>> it's not true no
>> they're just hardworking bogstandard
footballers but now and again
>> a talent turns up
canels us Rodriguez,
>> Jack Greish and their ability even in
their in the last bits of their career
and their talent is so unbelievable.
Their touch is so unbelievable. The way
they carry themselves on the pitch,
>> the way they just know what that's every
decision is the right decision,
>> you know, and he he he's got so much to
offer. Don't get me wrong, it's it's
it's one of them with with with bringing
them in. Obviously the the the the wages
and everything. I can understand why
people are like but when you've got very
little to like get you excited.
>> You do you do need that. You do need
those players, don't you? Go to match to
be entertained. You don't go to match to
really because it looks good on a
spreadsheet or a financial, do you? you
go to game because you want to see lads
do things that you couldn't do or you
know uh people who get you on the edge
of your seat. People loved Jai and J's
output wasn't very good really but they
loved him cuz he was he could do things
that a lot of other players can't do.
Jack Reish does it on a different level
but Jack Reel has been right to the very
top Champions League Premier Leagues
being in play for England and where in
semiinals you know European Championship
being at the very top he was
unbelievable for Aston it's that
intelligence level of of like making
>> the decisions right nearly all of the
time
>> and we just saw again we saw a small
glimpse of that and
>> it's easy to forget that when you
haven't got them and and you can sit
here and question it and and go, do we
really need him? But where do we well we
obviously need him now cuz we never got
in J cuz we lost in J. But that that
that ability
and I know it got said last year, but
someone like Tyler Dibble who's not
involved
>> hopefully, you know, he's he's looking
at everything he does in training every
day. And it's the way he carries himself
as well. The way he just like, you know,
you've won all those trophies, you know
how good you are. You don't need to like
there's no one can no one can say any
there's no self-doubt there because he's
such an intelligent,
>> brilliant footballer and
all we can do is get everything we can
out of him. That's all we can do. He
enjoys it. And we said about a couple
weeks ago about players buying into the
football club we call this ball team and
it just makes such a difference like you
can
>> you can hang you can be at the club and
you can be like in the club
>> but you never really never really put
yourself across as one of I know not
everyone's like that and a lot of people
are like introvert and they don't
>> they sort of just want to stay under the
radar and play the game but I do think
when you as a footballer you you put
yourself in that position where you're
like, I'm going to carry this team and
I'm going to I'm going to be part of
this team and I've got I'm not phased
about all that stuff that goes on or or
or you know putting out their videos and
it's actually other people. I mean you
know Harland yesterday and we saw
Harland's our fellow wearing kit the
other day on a video and that's clearly
Jackish's shirt. You know what I mean?
It's like it's all this is why they
wanted a Jack Leish because it pulls all
those other things in and that's what
that's what the top talent brings you
like and we're not at we're we're at a
stage as a club
>> where we can either have them very young
and we're bringing them through and
that's sad because you sort of
>> you just thinking them off you
>> think how long are we going to keep
Jabbrand away for um and or you have
them at the other end and I think
sometimes it's actually more comforting
to have them at the other end cuz you
just think They're never going anywhere
after here. So, it's that comfort
factor. Well, you know, don't you? It's
that comfort factor of we're going to
get that last little bit out of them.
>> But, and that's great. Now, and again, I
think it's we also have to cherish the
players we've got that you think they
are going to end up going somewhere
else. You shouldn't be We've said for
years on this, you should never fear
that. You should never Someone was
always going to come and take Jai.
>> Yeah.
>> You know, someone was That's why we said
sell them a month ago, but someone was
always going to come and take Jai.
someone's going to come and take Jared
I'm sorry to break it to you but
someone's going to come and take Jared
Brand because if cuz
>> players want to play in the Champions
League so
>> but ju just to have someone as talented
as him and you know
>> seeing all his posts after it was such a
special club this and this that and the
other you can't help but
>> and I was actually delighted that he
took the number 10 shirt as well you
know it's like
>> again be I'm I am the main man I will
carry this football club
>> you know I I want to be I want to do,
you know, everything. And and it's just
look at this car. I suppose not not too
dissimilar to mine. Um it's it's yeah,
from the club point of view, people at
the club be fuming. They be like, "We
could have put them on every kit reveal
and every this and every that,
>> you know what I mean? They'll be they'll
be they'll be like hurrying like, you
know, getting them to do a million
pictures now." But that's to rebrand
everything with Jack on it. and be
honest. Um, but yet he come on and I
thought
>> is he in the front page of the
prospectus?
>> He should be want to buy a football club
that has Jack Gish part of it. So we
don't have to get our hands dirty. Um,
you know, obviously we went up a little
bit. I thought we went up a level there.
But then again, I think the thing that
really took us up a level was probably
the worst substitutes in history.
Decision, not who we brought on. Hang
on. They all had two socks on.
Yeah, I'm not the decision. I'm not the
person he brought it on. No, sorry. Yes,
the decision. Not the person he brought
on because James Garner had been walking
around
>> stretching his leg and not looking happy
at all and rolling his ankle and moving
his and he was looking a bit concerned.
Then he hit a wayward pass and then he
was doing it again and you're thinking
he needs to go off here
>> and he make a sub and it's Hayden Hackne
which is absolutely the right thing to
do. And it wasn't James Shanner. He come
on and you're like,
>> what are you doing?
>> M roll out and James Ger to right back.
>> Yeah. And
>> you're like, he's not going to last.
>> He's not going to last. And then we've
got one sub left and
>> he lasted about a minute.
>> Yeah.
>> And then obviously that man come on
easily mate Laz. But it was Hayden
Hackne I was talking about who really
got his foot on the ball and started
driving everything forward. And
>> we saw with the equalizer, he gets it,
goes beyond a couple of United plays,
plays it in, gets it back. um just picks
the ball back up and lays it into tie
and he smashes in an absolutely
wonderful equalizer.
>> Yeah. Uh I think he got his rewards,
didn't he, for like you know I know he
came off Martis,
>> but you've got to like you've got to
>> but he didn't stand still. He
>> saying you've got to
>> he brought put some much needed energy
into midfield.
>> Um
>> and he wants to play forward.
>> Yeah.
>> Which is important.
>> Yeah. wants to go he wants to go through
the line between the lines and and get
his forward and you could see that first
pass he was trying to get it into Barry
I think and it's you know come back to
him when he found a man unmarked and
>> George has done the rest and having had
to swap sides as well I thought that was
>> cuz I think that was the that was
definitely the right decision to leave
him on the pitch would have been very
easy to just go no you're on the left
and he's on the left we're going to swap
you over
>> but to leave him on and just swap him
wings I thought that made complete
complete sense and Um,
finish was unbelievable. Unbelievable.
>> I mean, and again, you talked before
about you say memories or moments,
moments. I mean, to hit it like that, to
see the South Stand React the way it
did, the power of the shot. I thought my
my seat I thought to the side net first
and then you look, don't you, and you
see the ball rolling behind, he's off
running off and you're just like, oh my
god, the Delarium to celebrate. You
know, a key goal is fantastic, isn't it?
And it was a brilliant goal. And the
noise was unbelievable. The noise really
was. And you're thinking, we can win
this now. Come on. You know, we've got
the momentum. But I was a little bit
disappointed. We sort of sat in. I think
the manager said the same thing. He
said,
>> "We equalized." And I thought, "We'll
win this." And then the player sort of
>> Mhm.
>> sat back as if like we'll we'll protect
what we've got. I know you have to be
careful. United can kill you. Like they
they brought Seshko on
>> and he can kill you with a couple of
>> That's a mentality. We spoke the last
time this happened was like the Mury
side derby
>> and we spoke about it in that we got 1-1
>> and I know that was early in the second
half but the mentality was just don't
know we've got to draw out we're playing
Liverpool playing Man United we've got
to draw it's all good. It's like that
mentality's got to change. You've got to
like live dangerously at times if you
want to win games of football. I know
it's dead nice to City and go we're
unbeating this season but you know when
I remember when Moyes came
>> lost at Bournemouth I beat you that I
>> remember when Moyes came in and Moyes
came in and remember when we went to
Brenford and we were losing one nil and
obviously I think Jacob Bryan I don't
think I know Jacob Bryan got the equaliz
at the end but I remember that night
going I it wouldn't have mattered if
we'd lost their game to watch us
>> we were trying
>> go and try and try and get something and
>> um it was was what we all want to See,
and and yeah, we just completely
stopped.
>> Well, he's not happy to manage it
either, so it wasn't an instruction from
him.
>> It just plays
>> an instruction from him, but but also
it's also his job to make sure it
doesn't happen.
>> And it's happened too many. It happened.
It's happened too many times.
>> Not just the this set of plays, it's
happened too much in every play. It's
like,
>> you know, you've got to if you want to
do things.
>> Is that belief, do you think? Is it
belief?
Must be belief, must it? must be like,
yeah, it must be, mustn't it? You've
you've done the thing.
>> You've got yourself back into the game
and it's like
>> don't lose this now.
>> You know, would Arsenal fans be happy
yesterday if they got just got
declassizing and then,
>> you know, and that's that's the point,
isn't it? Like City a couple years ago
against Bournemouth have done the same
thing.
>> It's like
>> now you go and win. Now you go now you
got momentum.
>> You keep doing what you do. But we we've
done this far too far far too many
times.
>> Um we did it against City last year even
though we went 3-1 up there, you know,
once they got that second goal, then it
was like, oh, you better batten down the
arches. And I know we did miss a few
chances. It's not exactly accurate, but
it but it is that thing of like, oo god,
tightening your ass cheeks here. You
know what I mean? It's like they weren't
particularly very good
>> and we've just allowed them
>> the we've what we've done is we've
allowed
>> the ball to be in areas that their best
players can affect.
>> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And that's what we saw
you know the second you know United like
I said they brought Sesh go on and
>> they go down that left hand side. Ty
>> doesn't go with the runner. Fernandez
holds it up laser into the space and
Luke Shaw mate Len can't quite get
across
>> but the the two center backs in the
middle with one man mark one of them has
got it and maybe Tarovski goes over his
head just pick the striker up see that
goes back to what we talking about
before about the subs though do you
think maybe at that point
>> when it is 1-1 you have to look at
George scored the goal
>> do you have to start looking at that and
go with five minutes to Oh, we know he's
got the goal, but maybe it makes sense
to take him off now.
>> Do you know what I mean? We've got
another shot.
>> Dibling.
>> Well, it's Dibbling, isn't it? I mean,
why I mean, why not? I mean,
>> well, it would have been Dibbling or
Braden Grime and it ain't got
>> No, I mean, well, why not say to
Dibbling? Well,
>> just get on there and the number one
thing you don't do.
>> I tell you one thing about Dibbling
doesn't get the ball away.
>> So, I'm not saying I'm not saying no
anyway, was there? There was no shot to
make anyway. Show us.
>> Well, it depends if you ever women.
There was
>> Okay.
>> Crystal Palace made four sub. Oh, yeah.
>> Did no one picked it up.
>> They have now. There's an investigation.
They'll probably give more goals to
Palace.
>> Yeah, I'd imagine. So, but the cross
comes in. Cesco heads it. I think Jordan
needs to do better.
>> No, it does. It does.
>> And it's a it's a weak hand and it rolls
over the line and
>> it was in like almost slow motion seen
the ball land on him. He had it pick got
a hand and I'm thinking where is it? And
then he's running away celebrating.
you're like, how's that going? And it
felt very much
>> a kick in the bollocks after the week we
that that we'd equalize late on and then
just go and concede immediately. And I
must admit at that stage you're just
thinking
>> we lost this game cuz it wasn't like we
were hanging on.
>> Um but fair listen credit to the the
players 88 minute goal you can see they
didn't they hung in there. I know United
had a couple of counter detection. We
had a couple of moments where I think
Hackne bent one over.
>> Yeah.
>> But he all had a shot that was weak.
>> Yeah.
>> Um but you know it's we're still
plugging away. We're still plugging away
and we get a ball you know forward and
they they're trying to defend it and it
comes out and mate Len runs onto it and
>> it's an absolutely unbelievable strike
and again my position I'm side on so it
leaves his foot. kind of go past
everyone and see the keeper looking and
I still expected it to hit the south
like go past the goal and
>> the minute it caught the net it was just
ab and the first thing you you look at
the lines when you know it's can you
give any
>> well that was the thing both goals were
like there's nothing to do about any of
these
>> no and it was and obviously the place
the noise the bloody roof came off I
think it
>> I think what was so good about it was
because
>> because of the way it felt it was like
it it wasn't like it bounced around the
box or gone in off a corner or anything.
It was like so unexpected like and
obviously
>> the play the player scored me on the
pitch for 15 minutes you know for him
but on his debut that's
>> we don't normally get that do we show up
forever and I've seen as a gay
>> it pigeons
>> with that shot with that shot you know
and other players um
>> yeah he wasn't alone at
>> so it wasn't like it was so unexpected
for that moment
>> um
>> the technique sensational but as I said
before. That's probably it's probably
not it's probably an illust an
illustration goalie probably don't need
to go up for corners cuz if Pigford had
been up for it
>> couldn't even have gone up for it
>> United would have sensed that if they
just kept the ball they would have
>> um
>> but no unbelievable just again it's just
>> it's just a huge it's just a big moment
isn't it
>> and a lot of people had left not lot
>> why do you all Why? I just can't explain
understand any of you. Why do you get
off?
>> How far away would you have been?
>> I'd be I'd be devastated. I never leave
no matter what the score is, but I'd be
devastated if I was walking down ever.
>> I' been walking down like Regent Road
and that RAW, you'd just be like,
>> I'm missing it.
>> I just I'll never understand it. I'll
never get it.
I can sometimes I can go if it's a night
game and it's like 10 5 10 and there
might be I don't know but it was a
Sunday afternoon. It was an hour earlier
than a normal kickoff.
>> A bit mad but everyone who stayed have
got that moment that it was just
incredible. It was incred and his face
you see in his face he was
>> absolutely couldn't he couldn't have
written it any better could he? And then
I I still did think
>> this I'm thinking he's got to blow
because I think when he hit it it was
more than 95 minutes. I think it was
just over when he hit it. So I was
thinking on it
>> cuz they made the sub. So I'm thinking
surely when they knock it back he's
going to not and I'm thinking oh no he's
not going to let them just carry on as
it cuz he you could have seen it drop to
Fernandez and it you know cuz in his own
ed to get a story like but listen we
didn't he had this whistle in his mouth
virtually straight away
>> and it was a it was a fantastic point in
the end because we were behind twice
>> you know late on
>> and it was a bad week and there's a lot
of
>> I mean what what was funny about
yesterday was there was no there was no
real anger was there. Everyone's just
knackered. What would you Well, that we
haven't really each other about it, have
we? About what went on.
>> Yeah.
>> But when you look at when you look at
it, are you annoyed?
>> You'd be annoyed cuz cuz we've seen this
so many times before and this should
have been the new era and it hasn't
quite played out like that. Are you
annoyed be? Because I I'm annoyed
because I feel like we ain't that far
away and that's what I'm really annoyed
with. I look at some of that team and I
go, that's not a bad side. That and if
you add a bit more quality, that's a
like a good side.
>> And so that's what And I'm annoyed we
left it so late again cuz we've seen it
so many times. But where are you with it
all now? Cuz it's just
>> last week was I've got to admit
>> it was hard going last week. It was
hard. I just couldn't wait for the game
because it was just I was so fed up
about everything. No, it's
>> talking about it. It's um
fans are fans are you know fans are
tired are they? I mean I seen there was
a lot of outside noise saying you know
they you thought that
>> the atmosphere was going to be like you
know horrible and then there was other
people who were like oh we'll use this
to our advantage. I thought a lot of the
game it was flat and there was a real
like apathy
>> because people are fed up of like
>> people are just fed up of the whole
thing of like we went through all that
and like you said we no one asked for
anything like mad
>> what they asked for
was a club that could just compete
>> for Europe and we didn't get that far
off last season and we've messed it up
but I I
I found the whole thing was like it's
dead hard to point fingers at like like
I've seen a lot of people point fingers
at different people. It is hard. I mean
I I do I I don't I can't put me finger
on what the strategy was. I don't know
whether that's because
they were waiting for a sale or there
was money pulled or whatever. But I I I
think there's blame to I think there is
a little bit of blame to be shared
around.
>> Absolutely. I think I I said it and I
had no problem saying the time and why
on earth didn't you sell in giant a
month ago?
>> Yeah.
>> Why didn't you say say just say put it
out to the clubs and go if you want him
now he's 60 million quid. If you want
him deadline day week he's 90 million
quid
>> because he was always going. This is
what we were trying to tell. This is
what we was trying to get across.
>> He was always going and Greish was
always coming. That was always going to
be the case. it was going to be. So I
don't understand why they didn't just go
>> just just go right who wants him and and
let's get it going now because if you
want him last week as I said so I
couldn't understand that that would have
opened the door the money would have
been in the bank and then we could have
gone right who do we want cuz when you
start going oh we missed out on this
play we missed out on this play missed
and we could have had that fell and we
could have had the right back that we
wanted and do we only went for 25 and
it's like what
>> why did so from that point of view I do
think we certain people are located here
made a mess of it.
>> The owners, when did the owners decide
that they just couldn't be asked
anymore? Because that again is like why
didn't he just say
>> from the start? Because there's more
like obviously when you look back at the
summer now, you understand more about
why Moyes had a coin. I understand now
why they just painted the FN out on the
female toilets and made the men's
toilets cuz they'd obviously decided
that no, we're not going to put any
money into we're not putting any money
into it.
Why were these decisions made? Like, not
why were he made full stop, but why were
why was he made at like really bad
times? Like people can go, "Oh, Balagan
didn't get on the plane, blah blah
blah." I was like, "Why the were we
buying a center forward on the last day?
Why did we allow the other center
forward, whether you like him or don't
like him, to leave the club? We never
got Kenny Teti, who's the third choice
right back at Fulham, because they
didn't want to sell him.
>> It's some of the decision- making is
absolutely mental. mental like it should
and some people are going to have to
have a good look at themselves and
they'll pull all the excuses out and it
will be dead easy to just go to the
owners the owners but I don't buy that I
don't buy it's just the owners I think
if things have been done in the right
order then it might be slightly
different of course if people are
pulling money away from you but if you
if you when did they know that when did
they know they had to make a sale and if
it was early on and J should have just
been gone
>> simple as that and then Maybe then the
Harrison Armstrong situation doesn't
happen. As bad as it was, and I know it
was the owner's time to sell them, but
may maybe that was them going, "What are
you doing? We told you you need a sale
and we're just going to make that sale.
We're going to take that out your hand."
So
>> for me, I I didn't ever feel like there
was ever going to be this big angry
demonstration.
>> You know, people decide if people wanted
to buy stuff in the ground, that was up
to them. I was never again
>> from day one, I've never really bought
I've never bought food in. I've only
bought like coffee and that. Yeah,
>> and that's my own personal feeling and
I'm not not going to push that on other
people and I'm not going to to people go
and get a pint or whatever.
>> Although I think my brother-in-law
really did want a pint yesterday and he
just wasn't going to get one cuz he
knew.
>> Um
I'm not going to but that's up to
people's own personal feelings though.
People loads of people go doesn't make a
difference and that's fine. I can't
argue with them on that. It might make a
difference whatsoever. I think that's a
personal thing. But I never felt like it
was going to be angry unless we got like
spanked. And I never expected us to get
spanked because I think we are a half
decent team. And that like you said,
that's the annoyance of the situation is
that
>> it's
>> it's more it's more just like if we had
another four or five players that were
on the level of,
you know, two or three in the team.
>> Like I had no problem with selling
Burnham. I had no problem selling
Patterson. that but when you're when
you're selling better and you haven't
got your center forward sorted out do
you know what I mean if you want it's to
me it's c comes down to timing and I
think now the owners
should be graceful enough to just say
this is not what we want and I said to
you before on the live like two things
can be true at the same time they come
into the club
>> they've sorted us out
>> and and when you think of like where we
see the other people who were involved
now trip 7 and
>> text
>> it these these we might look back at
this in like two or three years and go
well I'm honestly that was really good
that they bought us and now we're on to
the
he did didn't he without I mean if
you want to look for little positives
they had they needed to buy Shinowat got
them and moved the needle with them but
it was everywhere
>> it might be a case of these have come in
used all their n financial
obviously the financial heavy every week
cuz they've got they're billionaires and
they've got all these different
companies and they've used all that to
get the right banks involved, the right
people involved.
>> Hopefully, if they get the situation
with the concerts and everything sorted
out, um Everton will start become a lot
more profitable and
>> then hopefully like I I don't think any
of us are thinking like
we want we need to be back at the top
table. Um, I think that's a I think
that's a thing.
>> No, we'd all love to be, but I do think
that's a thing that's been taken out of
>> football clubs like you've got you've
got to build. But what all I want is I
want
>> owners that care
>> enough to like actually be asked to turn
up cuz I don't think unless you come
into this city,
>> how can you get a feel for our club and
the way it is?
>> I want them to make as much money
available as possible, our own money.
But if we do need a little bit of bank
rolling at times, I'm talking two or 300
million. I'm talking guaranteeing
>> money until a sale go through, which
they were unprepared to do. Hence why we
didn't get Munoz. We didn't get a
striker. We didn't have Balagan in a day
earlier. Why they were trying to sell
Harris Armson? Why they pulled money
after with two weeks to go with the
window? Like why are you pulling money
with two weeks to go a window when
you've told the recruitment team whether
they done a good enough job or they
didn't? you'd pot
that money's gone.
>> How are you supposed to work like that?
You know what I mean? So, we need for
me, we need an owner or an ownership
group or a consortium, whoever who come
in and put everything on the line and
go, look, that's your summer transfer
pot. Spend it how you how you will, but
don't cry ass at the end of it. If you
if you haven't got the right players,
that's on you, not us. And I also think
we need owners who come in
>> and actually
dictate a strategy.
>> Absolutely.
>> Because I think the strategy we've got
now is it doesn't work. We we
>> we we're going to have to we're like
we're seeing a rocking at our place,
aren't we? The club doesn't make enough
money
>> and we'll have to sell players.
>> So why aren't we buying players
>> to sell? Do you know what I mean? Like
this is I've seen this yesterday about
like get like
we should have bought a young center
back this summer.
>> We should have bought a young center
back and like we did with Jabbrand
weight and said right we've got two
older center backs in our squad. We're
going to buy you we're going to put you
on loan somewhere and then next year or
the year after you're going to and then
maybe we're going to have to sell Jared.
We probably will won't maybe have to.
He'll he'll go cuz he's amazing
>> and that center back will go through the
same way that Jared's gone and then you
bring him in. I think we're sort of
we're stuck between this thing like
>> we let's be honest we should have bought
a center back who's young anyway and
Michael Keane should have been sold West
Ham wanted to buy Michael Keane on
deadline day for whatever three or four
mill whatever it was 33
>> but I'm but also though maybe you should
have bought two then because I'm talking
about like
strategy where we develop one and then
eventually if they do get sold and
that's that's going to that's going to
have to be part of our
>> it's going to have to be part of our
long-term strategy of a club like us
until something fundamentally changes in
the rules of the game. By the rules of
the game, not not owners or and maybe
that's what plays a part in these own
these their owners decision. It's like
we can't we're boxed in.
>> We are literally boxed in by these ru
these rules are a joke and again I think
Cara was talking about them yesterday
going football clubs have got nowhere to
turn. They can't you know Newcastles and
Villas and and maybe us and we've got
nowhere to go. We've got no We've got a
big shiny stadium. We've got We can't do
anything. We're all boxed in. The big
six are taking the piss as always.
>> So, even if like we said loads of times,
even if you want to put loads of money
in like you know, it's really
impossible. It's really really
impossible. I don't know why they've
signed up to these rules. They're
shocking. They're shocking. They're not
any better.
>> 40. You need to go need to
>> They do instead of going, "Oh, well, one
day we might be one of them." You're
never going to be them. M
>> you're never they've got the head start
and they're running away from you.
You're never going to beat them. So you
need to pull them in line. It's a joke.
It's It just doesn't make any sense why
we keep on signing up for them or we
don't want to rock the boat. Why
rock the boat? Become a become a
disruptor because otherwise these are
going to leave you behind cuz these are
they're going and getting their
Champions League money which is a de
facto super league now.
>> Yeah.
>> Like you look at like the Champions
League when the draws on, no one's even
asked. We play eight games or whatever
the we play eight games and yeah we'll
play a few big ones and we'll play on
and we'll get a big pot of money and
actually doesn't really get going nearly
impossible not to get through in it for
the Premier League spares shite and they
got through to the quarters or
something. No, I'm saying
>> like so it's the rules are just don't
allow you to do anything. Don't allow
you to spend any money.
>> It's just it's just it's just like it's
just of it's just a joke. And when you
see when you know you look at it
sometime and we are it's like we're
hampered by playing in the league we
play in. It's like if we could move to
another country and we would have the
money but we'd we' we'd be fine but we
wouldn't have the money. But
>> it's just a joke. Like it's these rules
that areo supposed to make it so no one
goes well originally brought us in to
make sure no one went bust
>> that that got legged ages ago when
you've got Hull spending the money
they've got.
>> Spent 200.
>> Exactly. It's it's a nonsense. No one's
going bust and yet you've still got them
in place and all they do is just pull
the ladder up and go, "No, we'll buy it.
We want it. We want 15 million play. No,
we'll buy 215 million players. Thank you
very much." You know, and then everyone
goes, "Oh, Man City." It's amazing how
uh Oh, how the business they do. And
it's like, yeah, cuz they steal
everybody else's kids when they're 16.
They go and take every So, that rule
needs to be changed. They rob everyone
else's 16 year old kids and Chelsea do
the same. and then they fatten them up
because they know they'll never be good
enough and then they sell them when
they're 20 and they get a fortune for
them and you think that's a fair system.
It's a joke.
>> It is a joke.
>> It's absolute joke and it just leaves
loads of people going but what's the
point? Because all and then the flip
side of it is all the prices in the
ground or for a ticket are through the
roof and people are going why am I
paying this money?
>> I'm paying this money
>> for the closed shop
>> for a closed shop. We aren't going
anywhere.
And as a football club and for owners,
they must sit there scratching their
heads going, how do we deal with this
without sort of saying to everyone,
we're We've got nowhere to go.
Like that that must be the hard Angus
can hear whether you like and we don't.
He must sit there going,
how do I keep morale high? Number one,
speak to Baz. But like, how do I keep
No, how do I keep morale high? not only
in the football club but in the fan
base. How do I the number the most the
biggest number one thing in football is
hope. It's what keep everybody alive,
isn't it? It's like every season.
>> But when hope starts dripping out,
people just go, "Why am I actually going
the match?"
>> And it's it's
>> they need Marinakus. You need Marinakas
to go this league.
>> Him and his big undies need because he
he whether you like him or not, he
doesn't give it. Everybody else needs
>> they all need to pull together and go
pull together. This is it is bollocks
though.
>> Start cutting the legs off the the top
teams.
>> Say 200 million is the most you can
spend in a window.
>> Well, it should have been should have
been a cap.
>> It's spent 200 million and they just
come up. So say that's the the limit
>> and then Liverpool can't buy
>> the limit. What they first said was for
the change
the limit was going to be a certain
value of what the team at the bottom and
slows no we can't have that even though
it wouldn't have affected half of them
and he said and and the rest just the
the last rest just sat there
>> and just went and you're like hang on
this these over here have got charges
against them this other one should have
charges with them got off on it
>> this one as a is buying players cuz I
be on say tours
>> like make it make sense. It doesn't make
any sense. And everyone's answer to it
will be well we just need to sort our
stadiums out. So leadeds will pay a
fortune or we get that back and it won't
it'll just
>> they won't go nowhere
>> you know really knocking down ground. It
it just they don't make any so and
they've allowed themselves to be conned
>> by these people at these clubs because
instead of going instead of like you
saying before instead of going no this
is a joke and this stops us they've gone
oh we we we want to be like you. So
what'll happen is we'll find a way to be
like you and then these rules will help
us. It's like no you're never ever going
to break the cycle. No,
>> the circle of continues.
Back on to yesterday's 2-2 draw. Ty
George. Yeah,
>> I give him man of the match. He got I
think he got the man of the match
overall. Let's have a look at his
numbers from yesterday.
There we go. One goal from an XC of
0.04. He had a 93% passing accuracy.
Created three chances, which I think was
the most in the game. Completed 80% of
his dribbles, which is more than anyone
else. Three ball recoveries. won seven
out of 12 of his ground jewels and had a
rating of 8.3. Um really really
impressive display from Tyreek. I give
him mana the match also although
>> technically I give I give mate L at 81.
>> Okay,
>> but that's only because that's not cuz
he's a sub. It doesn't really count but
he was also a man of the match. I give
him a 79 on analysis.
>> M interesting. Interesting. and the
overall match stats from the game.
Excuse me. There you go. Everton two,
Manchester United to 18 shots to the
trophies, 14 to United, six on target
for Everton. Just three on target for
United. Everton's xG 1.01
uh to 0.69
at 45% possession to Manchester United's
55% possession.
But there you go. Um, you know, decent
points in the end, fully deserved. And
we now go off to Tottenham Hotspur at
the weekend, which will be a tough one.
They haven't scored a goal yet. So,
marvelous.
>> Marvelous. But listen,
let's go and do it. Let's go and do it.
Make sure you do it. Yeah. Make sure you
leave a like on the video. Put your
comments underneath. We're carrying on.
Going to quickly go through your Patton
